Author's note: I am very very very very sorry for the huge writer's block and delay because I am in community college, my sisters are at university and turned 21 on August 14th, South Park Season 23 premiered, harvest season was here, my Dad turned 56 on the 19th of October, I turned 20 on November 14th, my Mom turned 52 on November 24th, and my writing skills is like this:
Me: ...uuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh... (stares at computer and phone and struggles to write something only to take it back). Its pretty bad.

Anyway, enough talk onto the story! Enjoy!

Chapter 14: The burning tide

Nate and Martin arrived home with dinner from El Pollo Loco soon after Villanelle quickly escaped into the night to not make any sound.

"We're home! We got dinner for you!" Nate called for his sister.

Nate walked into the living room only to find his sister and her friend wide-eyed and trembling.

"...Dad?"

"What's up Nate?" Martin asked, clearly happy at the moment. Nate then gestured to Ellen and Martin walked to see what Nate was trying to say. There sat Ellen and Charlotte wide eyed and shaking on the couch, not saying a WORD.

"Ellen? Ellen, what's wrong?" Martin asked.

It took awhile for Ellen to mouth the words about what happened to her and Charlotte. At first, Martin thought she was joking, until Ellen spilled the details about Laura's demise, and how the unknown assassin chased her to the house.

And after dinner, Ellen was the first to ask Martin the following question:

"Can we move back to Maine please? I really don't want want to live here anymore."

"The police will catch this psychopath, I promise," Martin tried to reassure Ellen, but she was having NONE of it.

"it's not just that, there's also everything being WAY too expensive, too many laws restrictive to anyone's rights, even me, and there's crime and earthquakes EVERYWHERE!" Ellen replied back, with tears threatening to spill.

It was true what Ellen said. Last Saturday, Nate slept through the WHOLE earthquake without noticing one bit whilst sleeping in.

"I'm noticing it too, but my job will cover up all the bills in no time," Martin assured.

Nate frowned. He knew Martin was no help to Ellen at all, so he decided to give his sister some comfort. And Martin gushed at this and took a picture of Nate and Ellen.

"That's going straight to the album book," Martin said gleefully.

But Nate was not having any of Martin's lack of empathy so he said

"Can you just take one moment to look at your daughter and all the immense pain that she is going through right now? Look at her!"

Nate wasn't kidding. Ellen looked close to breaking down herself. So was Charlotte.

Martin sighed. He knew his son was right. So he went over to his daughter and gave her and her friend a hug of comfort. Then he (eventually) offered some dinner for the pair.

Nate went to his room and laid down on his bed for a while. Then he heard:

DING! DING! DING! DING! DING!

Nate sat up and looked over to his computer. Samuel was on webcam calling Nate.

Nate got up and headed to the computer screen and answered:

"Hello?"

"Hey Nate! How's it going?"

"Not good I'm afraid."

"What's going on? What happened?" Samuel asked with concern.

Then Martin's voice reached in to Nate.

"Nate. Don't be up too late! Get some sleep!"

"Okay. Sorry, Sam, I have to go. I'll tell you what happened tomorrow," Nate responded before hanging up.

That was EXACTLY what Samuel asked Nate while en route to school today with DJ and Nate spilled the details about what happened last night with his sister.

"So to clarify, you mean to tell me that some crazed woman chased your sister, only to return her her notebook, and THAT was IT?" Samuel asked.

"Correct," Nate replied.

"Sheesh, that was wickedly weird. And that Laura woman? Who was she working for before her death?" DJ asked.

"My thoughts exactly," Nate replied again.

"Hey dudes! What's up?" Rebecca caught up with the crew, wanting to jump in at the ongoing conversation.

Nate explained everything (again) to Rebecca about what happened.

"Wow, and that's it?"

"Yep."

"Hey guys? Do you think something is STRANGE happening in this city?" DJ asked.

"How do you mean?" Samuel asked.

"Take for examples: expensive food places, clothing, bad laws in California, and all-time crimes?" DJ explained in detail.

"Ah," Nate understood DJ's point.

"Well, whatever's going on, we are gonna have to stay close with each other if we're going to survive this," Rebecca announced to the crew.

"Good call," Nate liked Rebecca's plan.

"No one's going to acknowledge Laura's death and we don't have to remember her?" DJ asked.

Nate and the rest of the crew smirked.

"Nope."

"Anyway Nate, were you happy when Ms. Adams gave you an A+ on your comic at the Doodlers club yesterday?" Samuel asked Nate about the recent active Doodlers Club made by Nate of course.

"Yes I was," Nate with a very happy look on his face.

Beep...Beep...Beep...

Meanwhile on the other side of the planet in London, a woman's eyes fluttered open to see where she was at right now. Turned out she is at the hospital right now.

A male doctor walks in to his patient and says with a smile:

"You're finally awake!"

The female patient groaned quietly, taking her back to how she got here...

Flashback...

"No Eve! Eve wait! Why are you being like this? You love me!"

"No."

"I love you!"

"No."

"I do."

"You don't understand what that is."

"I do. You're mine!"

"No."

"You are! You're mine! Eve, I thought you were special!"

"I'm sorry to disappoint."

And the last thing Eve Polastri remembered before blackening out was being shot in the back...

Present day...

"So that's how you're got here?" the doctor asked.

"Yeah. Who found me anyway?" the patient, or Eve as I now I should call her, asked weakly.

"Someone who looked like Nick Santonastasso, and several other family members," the doctor replied.

"Huh...I see..."

"You going to continue finding Villanelle soon after you get out of the hospital?"

"...maybe..."

"Maybe?"

"Considering that she's gone, you don't know where she could be going."

"True, true. Maybe this will help..." the doctor said before handing Eve some newspapers, which had one thing in common:

A HUGE STRING of murders are occurring in California, USA. And there was also aNOTHER assassin organization named P.E.A.C.E lead by one Alfred Bates Evans, who he lost his brother, Jason Evans in the PS 38 massacre, and the organization is out in the US as of right now.

"I got to head there immediately," Eve said while looking at the papers. She knew she lost her job at this point because Villanelle tricked Eve into killing Raymond, and that The Twelve (assassin organization group) will stop at nothing to kill her. So she will have to find Villanelle herself.

"I need a cell phone," Eve said to the doctor, and soon he handed the phone to Eve, who dialed for a certain someone...

"Hello?" said a male voice.

"Kenny?"

Meanwhile back at the US, Alfred was feeling numb regarding the news lately: his assassins are slowly getting killed in California.

"NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!" Alfred slammed on the table angrily repeatedly, causing much shock to his coworkers. Then he continued with his tirade:

"I have trained my men and women hard for my team and they are being swatted at by flies? This is unacceptable!"

"We might have to train harder in order to be a heavy match for this woman," one coworker suggested.

"IT WON'T BE ENOUGH! She knows our every move and action, she won't even give us ANY chances!" Alfred angrily hissed back before calming down and continuing again.

"We are gonna have to regroup again, or we are done. I mean MONTHS of training and I lost half my fellow assassins? This is unacceptable!"

A knock on the door is heard.

"Not now! We're busy!" Alfred responded.

It was Gina.

"I got new recruits," she said while leading in Nolan and his gang.

"Okay, good. Lead them in," Alfred sighed with relief.

Nolan and his gang walk in.

"So this is P.E.A.C.E huh?" Nolan asks.

"Correct," Alfred responded.

Nolan took his seat. So did his gang.

"Heard how your 37th streak broke at the mud bowl. Fear not. I'll make sure you keep that streak for as long as possible," Alfred said to Nolan.

"Right you are," Nolan replied back.

"So join me, and I will make sure Nate suffers the way you suffered."

One assassin got confused at first.

"Wait, we are scanning the world for one kid and kill him? Oh wait, wait, wait. Never mind. He killed your brother. Makes sense," said the confused assassin.

"That's right. An attack on one is an attack on all of us. We need to make him suffer," Alfred replied.

"He'll look like all the other kids in school. He might blend in like everyone else too," said another assassin.

"True true. So..." Alfred says turning to Nolan and his friends, "Are you in or out?"

"I'm in," Nolan responds almost immediately with an evil grin. So did his friends.

"Good. This is our chance for glory. Now I have a job for you: Bring me Nate's friends ALIVE, and yes, I mean alive, so don't argue with me..." Alfred said before handing out pictures of Nate's old friends. "...so we can ensure that Nate will suffer tremendously like you and Gina did."

"A mission I look forward to, sir," Nolan said with an even evil grin on his face now.

"Good again. Now go out there and find Nate's friends, and good luck."

Nolan and his friends left with the door closing behind them, as Alfred turned back to the screen of his fallen comrades and placed his hand on the screen.

"Don't worry. We will continue on our work. You will not be forgotten. We will rule this world...and nothing will get in our way again!"

*Oh boy! The cracks are forming as its pushing its way to the surface now. So what's gonna happen to Nate and all of his friends and family? Will Eve stop Villanelle in time with her friend and hacker Kenny Stowton? Will Alfred, Gina and Nolan win? Find out in the next chapter of the California Plan. Fan ideas and requests please and have a good day. :)
