Author's Note:...you get the picture. Online classes, harvest, COVID-19, George Floyd protests and now Jacob Blake protests, my dad had eye surgery, my grandmother had Covid-19, the 2020 election and... my 21st birthday, but on to the story!
Tips to survive the COVID-19:
For people with medical conditions and older adults
Older adults and people of any age with medical conditions like lung disease, heart disease, or diabetes are at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 and should seek care as soon as symptoms start.
Stay home except to get medical care.
People who are mildly ill are able to isolate at home. Rest, stay hydrated and monitor your systems carefully. If your symptoms get worse, seek medical care. Call before you go to prevent others from being exposed.
Separate yourself from other people in your home.
Stay in a specific room away from others and use a separate bathroom if you can. Do not share personal household items. Wear a mask and maintain 6 ft. distance if you need to interact with others.
Wash your hands often & avoid touching your face.
Wash frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing, and before eating or preparing soap and water aren't available, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Avoid touching your face.
Designate someone to clean high-touch surfaces every day.
Clean counters, tabletops, doorknobs, bathroom fixtures, phones, keyboards and bedside tables. Use diluted bleach solutions (4 teaspoons per quart of water), alcohol solutions with at least 70% alcohol or most common EPA - registered household disinfectants.
Chapter 17: What lead to the present.
Eve stared at the wall that laid before her. All the theories and pictures of Vinanelle and on a billboard. She has been recently discharged from the hospital and took it upon herself to find Vinanelle at all costs, but she also knew that she was going to have to recruit some friends and allies to catch the killer.
Kenny was the first to join.
"Saved me a lot of trouble to get here," Kenny said, sipping his cup of coffee.
"I know. Sorry," Eve replied.
"For what?"
"Everything that's happened so far. Even keeping you out of the loop on Vinanelle," Eve replied again.
"Apology accepted then."
"Anyway, we have got to find Vinanelle before she kills anyone else. She is also going very competitive in my book so any suggestions on what we should we do?"
"I say that we recruit some allies to find Vinanelle."
"An excellent idea."
And recruiting they did, but no one was interested or stood out in the field.
But one day...
A young man was rushing towards the airport for a trip to England after learning that he is the father to twin boys. And that young man happens to Carl Gallagher.
"C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon! I hope I'm not too late!"
The young man rushed to the maintenance to get tickets to England but unfortunately...
"Sorry sir. We're overbooked. We'll have a ticket for you by tomorrow," said the woman from the maintenance desk.
Carl quietly sighed not to upset the woman so he accepted an overnight stay at the airport and just as he turned the corner, he ran into a woman.
"Oh hi there!"
"Hello... you must be Carl Gallagher."
"Uh...yeah. How did you know my name?"
"I'm Eve. Eve Polastri," the woman introduced herself, extending her hand to Carl.
Carl shook back and after a moment of silence...
"Hey, um... you don't happen to have $1000 in cash? I actually happen to have caught a fugitive not that long ago and I need it for my trip to England..." Carl began but Eve wasn't buying Carl's ruse.
"First off, I don't happen to have $1000 in cash with me, secondly, I don't SEE your said caught fugitive. How dumb do you even think I am?" Eve asked sharply.
Carl froze, knowing he might get arrested then he tried to make a run for his life, but Eve was faster than Carl.
Moments later, Eve tackled Carl to the ground to make sure he didn't try to escape or make noises but she knocked him out cold immediately.
"Drat!" Eve groaned.
Later...
Carl groaned hard, feeling his head pounding viciously and looked around the room and saw Eve sitting in a chair right in front of him.
"You're awake. Finally. I was starting to wonder whether you would come to," Eve spoke calmly to Carl.
"What do you... what do you want? I'm just clearing my head to get away from all the drama," Carl groaned.
"And I get that. But running away from an authority figure won't change that," Eve responded calmly.
The she continued:
"So here's the ultimatum that I will present to you: help me with my mission to capturing one of the world's most dangerous assassins and I will pay you handsomely OR I'm turning you over to the authorities with all the dirt I have on you."
Carl's eyes widened the began to protest.
"What dirt are you talking about exactly?"
"This," Eve replied, gesturing to the recorder and pushed the play button and their voices were on that tape.
"Hey, um... you don't happen to have $1000 in cash? I actually happen to have caught a fugitive not that long ago and I need it for my trip to England..."
"First off, I don't happen to have $1000 in cash with me, secondly, I don't SEE your said caught fugitive. How dumb do you even think I am?
Carl's face turned chalk white, knowing that he might try to deny what he said and did, the tape recorder will say otherwise.
Then finally Carl caved in.
"Okay okay! I'm in! Where do we start?"
Eve smiled and said:
"I'm glad you've seen reason."
"You've got to be kidding me," Eve groaned, after learning on the intercom that the airplane was making an emergency landing to Kansas because someone on the plane used the words "terrorist" and "bomb."
"Why, why why why why?" Eve continued on until:
"Ma'am, I told to keep it down or you will be kicked off from riding the plane permanently," the flight attendant warned sternly.
"But but but-"
Kenny stepped in quickly before an argument could ensure.
"We are on an urgent mission to stop..." then Kenny lowered his voice so he didn't create a panic on board, "a terrorist group."
"I can see that," the attendant replied, her voice softened.
Soon the plane landed and everyone had to evacuate the plane quickly meanwhile the trio left the airport in frustration, but the frustration grew worse when the trio could not find a motel to stay in either.
"First Vinanelle is on the loose, then an emergency landing here in Kansas, now this? How many more obstacles are we facing exactly?" Carl asked after leaving a motel.
"To be honest, I don't even know. But we're definitely losing a lot of time on finding Vinanelle and stopping the P.E.A.C.E organization and if we don't act now...then the world will bend its knees to P.E.A.C.E," Eve said with worry in her tone of voice.
While Eve was talking, Kenny noticed a 25-year old man watching on eavesdropping the conversation and in no time flat, Kenny walked up to the man quickly before the latter came even think about running away.
"You might know something about this, don't you?"
And so...
"... and if you want me to update you on PEACE, then I'll let you know," the witness said to the trio at his house.
"Thank you for your cooperation, Holden," Eve thanked the witness, or Holden Matthews I should say now.
"But your 'telepathy' claim, we aren't buying at all," Carl chimed in sternly.
"So what were you guys after anyway?" Holden asks after a minute of silence.
"We are trying to find and stop a terrorist organization working in many ways, so here's the story of what's going on..." Eve explained to Holden. And Eve covered the whole story from her investigation on Villanelle, to Villanelle later joining forces with her in an operation to stop another assassin Aaron Peel, which turn out to be a set up by Eve's boss, and up to the end when Eve was shot.
To say Holden freaked out was an understatement. And when he did, the lights flickered. And everyone in the room where the meeting is held at was taken aback by this sudden freak moment.
And then Eve turned back to Holden with a surprised look on her face and asked:
"How did you gain knowledge on PEACE again?"
Holden closed his eyes for a moment then reopened them and saying that he had supernatural powers and thought no one believed him until he just demonstrated them.
"Wow!" Carl exclaimed.
"He should be on our team, shouldn't he?" Kenny suggested to Eve.
Eve nodded.
"Okay, but I hardly used them since Eleanor Kurtz snatched away Willa Frost. The former is a fake FBI agent Gale Borden, the latter is my girlfriend," Holden agreed but went to explain why he didn't use his abilities much.
"How long ago was this?" Kenny asks.
"It's been a few years now," Holden replied sadly.
Eve gave a comforting hand on Holden's and told him that they will find his girlfriend together when their mission is over.
But that's when Eve began to deduce that PEACE might have her and asked the following question:
"Do you want to join us in our crew?"
"And you just had me at finding Villa together," Holden replied with a big smile on his face.
And in no time flat, the new team headed straight for Maine (thanks to Holden's teleportation since they decided it was better off not wasting any more cash on airplane tickets) after Eve discovered their hideout through Holden's telepathy.
And soon enough, Eve saw it: more members of PEACE holding handguns at children at large which caused everyone's hearts to stop. And she knew she had to do something!
Then Holden whistled for the PEACE members' attention and telekinetically snatched the guns away before anyone of them could try to pull the trigger.
This gave Dee Dee and the rest of her friends the opportunity to run.
"NO! NOT AGAIN!" Gina roared and tried to catch Dee Dee but she was too quick.
That's when Nolan quickly and quietly slipped a knife in his hand and went straight for Kenny's chest and-
Sshhnnk!
"NOOOOO!" Eve screamed then knocked Nolan out cold.
Kenny dropped to the ground quickly with blood slowly dripping out then Eve rushed to his side and plead for him not to die.
"Eve... find Vinanelle... stop PEACE... end... this..." Kenny spoke weakly between coughs then his eyes and lips began to close.
Then his breathing ceased.
Police officers arrested Nolan, Gina and her accomplices were all arrested and Holden managed to bring back Dee Dee, Ruby, and the rest of the gang via telepathy.
"YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS! WE ARE ALREADY WALKING THE EARTH AS WE SPEAK!" Gina howled as she was lead to the police car by one female officer.
"Hey, Jim Bean, can it until we get to the police station!" the officer hissed as she put Gina into the car.
Eve looked especially distraught as Kenny body was being escorted to an ambulance and let out a huge sigh as she switched her view from Kenny to the gang talking to several officers explaining what happened.
As soon as they were done talking, Eve walked up to the gang and Chad was the first to talk.
"Hey thank for saving us."
Eve slightly smiled at the complement, but not enough to ease her pain.
"Did the leader say anything to you that I should be aware of? Because this mission is...well..." Eve began.
"Important?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah."
"Not really, but the way Nolan talked was calm but felt very disturbing because based on his tone of voice, I knew something was up," Dee Dee explained.
"Is there something we should be aware of?" Teddy asked with concern.
"Yes. I believe that because PEACE knows who you are now, I believe that you are all in very grave danger, and that I have been following this case a lot lately..." Eve explained.
"Oh dear! What do we do?" Chad began to freak out.
"Stick with me and I will keep you safe," Eve told to the gang.
"Okay. Anything else?" Francis asked.
Then everyone turned their attention to Holden who has his finger on his side forehead.
"What's he doing?" Dee Dee asks in confusion.
"Call me crazy, but he actually has supernatural powers," Eve explained.
"Sweet!" Chad exclaimed but Eve quickly shushed him before any of the authorities can catch on.
Holden went straight for Eve with a sight nod to the latter.
"Well?"
"Jail is not going to hold them for long, they definitely have people working on the inside," Holden explained to Eve.
Everyone began to worry then...
"Is there anything else I should be aware of?" Eve asked with a tone of worry in her voice.
"Some company in California is connected to PEACE. It's like a huge spider web is forming across the globe."
Everyone began to worry, especially Ruby.
"That's where my boyfriend is at," she chimed in while beginning to freak out.
"What's his name?"
"Nate Wright."
Holden looked at Eve who looked back at Holden with sharing looks of worry and concern.
Then Holden dropped this:
"I don't think your boyfriend's dad has any idea he is working at a company that is connected to PEACE."
"Gee, how many more?" Rizzo the Rat groaned reading from the computer.
"Don't worry. Cooper is just taking his time on writing chapters," Kermit the Frog replied.
"But he is taking too long!" Miss Piggy complained.
"But definitely worth the wait," Rowlf the Dog replied.
"Well he better hurry, because I'm tired of waiting!"
Phew! Finally done! Sorry for the wait, but hope it was worth the wait! Wrapping up online classes again! Huge shoutout for those who supported me again!

AppalledWriter: Hope ya don't mind but before i forget it, I'd like to dedicated another idea you could incorporated on the later chapters in which there should be flashbacks in which everyone should see how Eve had meet each of her two new allies.
1)How Eve possibly meets Carl Gallagher: Before heading to the United States, after building a first theory(obviously wrong in fact) that Villanelle is working with P.E.A.C.E and is killing the members because she is very competitive, Eve takes a walk and runs into Carl( who's vacationing in England to clear his head after facing the fact that he is the father of twin boys) who tries to con her out but eve eventually sees clear of his ruse and blackmails Carl with an ultimatum- help her find Villanelle and she'll pay him half of money or she'll turn him in to the police.
2)How Eve possibly meets Holden Matthews: After an emergency landing to Kansas and no vacancy at the motel, Eve , along with Kenny and Carl runs into Holden, who offers up on them staying the night at his house. When Holden ask of what brought Eve to Fort Reed, she tells him that she was headed to California, explaining from the full beginning, from her investigation on Villanelle, to Villanelle later joining forces with her in an operation to stop another assassin Aaron Peel, which turn out to be a set up by Eve's boss, and up to the end when Eve was shot and so else. Holden freak out a bit, causing the power to cut out, surprising everyone so he revealed that he has supernatural powers( no one believed him until he demonstrated it) and that it was barely a few years since Willa was abducted by the FBI agent and he had no clue of if she's alive. Eve deduced that P.E.A.C.E might have her and asked him to join her group.
