Aurora sat in silence as she listened to her cousin Bernice banter on about school. She was spending Easter at her uncle's mansion, she had no woes about coming back to her former home; in all honesty, she was feeling a bit homesick and was happy to be back with her kin. Her uncle's home had always been a lively one, unlike her parent's château, which at times gave the feeling that it had been barely lived in.

"Aurora, what is it like living on your own?" Bernice asked eagerly.

Aurora placed her fork down. "Oh I would say it's about the same as living here. The only difference is that there is no set schedule for you to follow."

"I'll have you know, young lady, that those schedules are set for your benefit. How do you expect to grow into a well cultured young woman without proper guidance?" Celeste stated as she looked up at Aurora.

"And I am very grateful for those schedules. It taught me a bit about responsibility." Aurora turned to her younger cousins. "Listen girls, Aunt Celeste is strict for a reason, she is teaching us how to become proper ladies."

Aurora smiled at her uncle's wife who nodded in approval.

Celeste walked as quickly as her legs could take her. If she hadn't be taught any better she might actually consider running- however ladies never run. She was both agitated and thrilled at the same time. Celeste was a woman who detested surprises and today an unexpected visitor had arrived. As unexpected as the visit was she was delighted. Once she reached her destination she opened the door entering the room and quickly shutting the door behind her.

"Aurora!" She said firmly.

Aurora was sound asleep; the girl didn't even move an inch.

"Aurora!" Celeste shook her gently. "Wake up dear!"

Aurora woke with a startled look on her face. Her surprise quickly turned to confusion. "Aunt Celeste? What are you doing here? Have I over slept?"

"Apparently so." Now that Aurora was awake Celeste began to rummage through her closet trying to find a suitable ensemble for girl to wear.

"What is going on?" Aurora sat up eyeing her aunt.

"Master Malfoy has come to call on you! Why didn't you tell me? I would at least made sure you would have been up and dressed by now!"

"Aunt Celeste, I assure you I knew nothing about this!" Aurora was confused. Draco had come to call on her? Why?

"No matter, here- put this on!" Celeste tossed a sea foam green dress onto the bed.

Since she had just woken up, Aurora's reaction was a bit delayed. She looked at the dress and back to her aunt with a disgruntled expression on her face. Aurora never liked being rushed out of bed.

"Make haste, child, make haste! Get dressed, you mustn't leave the young man waiting!"

Aurora sighed in annoyance and complied with her aunt's demands. It was not like she had much of a choice anyway. Draco had come to call on her for some odd reason and it would be horribly rude of her not to make an appearance.

"We will be waiting for you in the parlor." Celeste turned to exit Aurora's room but just before she closed the door she poked her head back in. "Oh, and try to do something about your hair, dear, you don't want the young man to think that you have a bird's nest sitting upon your head." She shut the door and Aurora plopped back down onto her bed cover her face with her pillow.

Draco stood and adjusted his coat as Aurora gracefully descended the stairs.

"Master Malfoy, what a pleasant surprise." A gentle smile graced her lips as she greeted him.

"I hope you can forgive my unexpected appearance."

Aurora was about the respond when Celeste interpolated.

"Oh, not at all, the Malfoys are always welcome in our home."

"I am pleased to hear it, thank you for your hospitality."

Celeste nodded and turned to Aurora. "Why don't you show Master Malfoy the garden?"

Aurora nodded and gently took Draco's arm as she steered him out of the room.

"What are you doing here?" She asked once they were out of earshot.

"What? I can't pay you a visit?"

"Of course you can, just not at my uncle's house!"

"What's the difference between visiting you here or at your flat?"

"Simple: here, there are spies everywhere."

"You are over reacting." Draco snorted.

"Fine, believe what you wish."

"I must say you looked absolutely stunning in that dress."

Aurora blushed at his compliment. "Thank you. And you look handsome as ever, although there is one thing that you are missing."

"What?!" Draco asked slightly alarmed as he examined his attire.

"Your spectacles, of course!" Aurora chuckled.

Draco smiled. "You're just teasing me."

"Perhaps, but the glasses do suit you. They scream out 'Healer'."

"Thank you, I appreciate that."

Aurora smirked. "I knew you would."

Draco shook his head and chuckled as he and Aurora continued on their leisurely stroll through the garden.

Not too far from the young couple Gavin and his wife were enjoying their tea, watching the two converse below. They usually took their tea on the balcony that overlooked the garden, so they had a perfect view of Draco and Aurora.

"What do you think, Gavin? He seems like a good match for our Aurora."

"He seems like a good boy, given his dark past." Gavin stated plainly, not looking up from his newspaper.

"The sin of the father should not be visited upon the son. He was just a boy, it's not like he knew any better."

"I am well aware of that, my dear."

"Then why do I get the feeling that you would object a union between those two?"

Gavin set his newspaper down, eyeing his wife. "I would not oppose a union between Aurora and Draco- I agree with you, it would be a perfect match. However, it's not about what we want, it's about what the girl wants."

Celeste huffed, and turned back and glanced at the two. "She seems to be fond of him."

"Fond enough to marry?"

Celeste opened her mouth to respond but Gavin continued. "That, my dear, is something we do not know."

Draco listened to Aurora as she told him about how her exams went. They were difficult but she is confident that she did well.

"So do you plan on telling me the real reason for your visit, or do I need to continue believing that you decided to come here on a whim?" She chuckled.

Draco laughed. "Alright, you caught me. I actually came here because I wanted to personally invite you to attend my white coat ceremony."

Aurora wasn't sure how to respond to Draco's invitation. She was flattered, of course, to be invited to such an event. The white coat ceremony was a rite of passage in the medical field. It's when the medical student transitions from preclinical to clinical health sciences where they start working with real live patients.

"Should I take your silence as a no?" He asked anxious.

"Oh, no, of course not! My best friend is about to become a Healer. I would be personally offended if I wasn't invited! Mark me down as attending!" Aurora smiled enthusiastically.

Draco let out a sigh of relief. "Well you see I don't get the title of 'Healer' until I get my degree."

"Close enough! You're receiving your white coat! When is it?"

"It will be held on June 22. I know it's a bit early since it's only April but I just wanted to tell you ahead of time."

"Perfect, I'll mark it down in my calendar! Now what do you say we just loop around one more time in this unbearably boring garden before we head inside for tea?"

"Sounds like a plan."
