Eleanor was ecstatic; she read the acceptance letter over and over again. She simply couldn't believe that she had just been accepted into Berkeley. This was her chance to finally become someone. When Eleanor married, she had only finished secondary school. She never even considered attending university, since she felt that there was no need to. Her husband had provided her with everything. She never realized how small and sheltered her world had been until she left, which is why Eleanor decided to apply to a Muggle university. She had come to realize she knew very little about their world and had every intention of learning everything about it.

Even though Eleanor had lived a very privileged life behind the walls of the Wizarding world, she had taken note of the Muggle world. Yes, she knew little of their world, but that did not stop her from observing. The Muggle word was constantly advancing and developing while the Wizarding world remained static, everything was the same way it had been a century ago. Even some of their laws were severely outdated. To be honest, she was shocked that the Wizarding world had persisted this long.

Magical folk in general were arrogant, they deemed Muggles to be below them without even thinking about how much they'd accomplished. Eleanor was grateful that at least the medical field wasn't above turning to Muggles for help. In fact, by doing so, many innovations had been made in medicine. Now if only the Wizarding world as a whole could work with the Muggles, the sky would truly be the limit. But alas that would be beneath them magic folk. No matter, she mused; they could choose to be blind and dumb- she, however, would not live such a life.

Aurora was sporting a blush- colored, sleeveless, bell-shaped dress with a v-shaped neckline. Her hair had been curled, gathered into a loose bun, and pinned with a flower.

"My, don't you look lovely."

Aurora smiled and turned around to find Wyatt leaning against the wall wearing a devilish smile. "You look handsome yourself, I see you are sporting your favorite three piece suit."

"Of course! Such an occasion calls for such an ensemble! But I must say I am a bit scandalized by your outfit. Don't you think that dress is a little too risqué for you?" Wyatt stated, smirking at her.

"And what could you possibly mean by that?" Aurora asked placing her hands on her hips.

"You are exposed from your ankles up to your knees! I don't think I've ever seen your knees before. Have some decency, woman! There are children present!"

Aurora shook her head and rolled her eyes at her friend's antics. Wyatt often mocked her for being so conservative, as she rarely wore anything that was knee length, but she decided there was no sense in dressing like her grandmother. She had the rest of her life to do so. What was the harm in showing off a little leg? Nothing of course, as long as it was done in a tasteful manner.

"Do you know where Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy are?" She asked, ignoring Wyatt's previous statements.

"Yes, actually they sent me to find you, come along." Wyatt instinctively took Aurora's hand like he used to when they were children, and lead the way.

Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy were already seated, donned in their finest robes. It was not every day one's son became a Healer, and Narcissa made sure she and Lucius were dressed properly for the occasion.

"Oh Lucius, can you believe our boy is going to become a Healer?" Narcissa mused.

"He's only receiving his white coat, that doesn't make him a Healer. Once he receives that piece of parchment that I paid for, then he will obtain the title of Healer." Lucius stated brashly.

Narcissa sighed. She knew that Lucius was proud of Draco; he just had an odd way of showing it. Lucius was always a great supporter of the "tough love" philosophy. He felt that if he pushed their darling boy hard enough, he would achieve great things. And as of yet, Draco had come so far. She only wished that Lucius would soften just a bit, to at least congratulate the boy, or tell him he's proud of him.

"Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy! Lovely to see you again!" Aurora greeted, pulling Narcissa from her thoughts.

"Ah, Miss Pontellier. You are always a welcome sight." Lucius grinned.

"Thank you, Mr. Malfoy."

"My dear, you look exquisite in that dress! Draco will be pleased." Narcissa smiled

"Thank you, Madam." Aurora blushed at Narcissa's last statement- maybe she was revealing a little too much leg.

One by one each student would rise and walk across the stage receive their coats. It wasn't too hard to spot Draco from amongst them. The medical program that he was in was very exclusive; therefore, there were few students to begin with. Aurora noted how handsome he looked. He was wearing a simple light blue dress shirt with a grey tie and black dress pants.

"Oh! Oh! He's next! He's next!" Wyatt whispered as he nudged Aurora with his elbow.

"I know Wyatt, I can see him." Aurora watched Draco walk closer to the stage.

When Draco's name was called, Aurora and Wyatt simultaneously stood, cheering and applauding their friend as he made his way across the stage.

As Draco slipped his newly acquired white coat on, with some assistance from the dean, he looked towards the crowd to find Aurora and Wyatt whistling and cheering, and right next them he spotted his mother and father. Narcissa applauded as she tried to contain her tears but failed miserably and Lucius looked very pleased, which was a rarity. It was at this moment Draco realized that he had done it: he had finally made his father proud.

The party of four waited outside the auditorium, talking amongst themselves when Draco finally arrived. Narcissa was the first to greet him.

"My darling, you looked wonderful! Congratulations mon amour, I'm so proud of you!" She beamed as she locked her only son in a tight embrace.

"Thank you, Mother." Draco said as he returned his mother's affections.

"Narcissa, enough of that! You'll soften the boy up that way!" Lucius exclaimed.

Narcissa let go of her son and smiled. "That's just your father's way of saying he wants to congratulate you too." She stepped aside.

Lucius stood in front of his son and extended his hand. Draco took it and both father and son were locked in a stiff handshake.

"Congratulations, my boy, you will make a fine Healer someday."

Draco did his best to contain his joy, as it was very rare that his father would openly praise him.

"Thank you, Father. That means a lot."

Lucius nodded, let go of Draco's hand and began to walk ahead of the group.

"Come now! A celebration is in order!" He bellowed out as he waved his cane in the air.

Draco shook his head and looked back to Aurora and Wyatt. "Would you like to join us?"

"Of course we would!" Wyatt turned to Narcissa and extended his arm. "Since your husband has left you behind, it is my duty, Madam, to escort you." Wyatt leaned closer and whispered to Narcissa, so Aurora and Draco wouldn't hear him. "Also, we should give the love birds a moment alone don't you think? Maybe then they won't be too shy to admit their undying love for each other."

Narcissa chortled. "Of course, dear." She and Wyatt made their way to catch up with Lucius.

Once they were alone, Aurora stood on her toes to give Draco a bone crushing hug. Even in heels, she only came up to his chin.

"I'm so proud of you!" Aurora exclaimed, as she felt Draco hug her back.

"Thank you." He said parting from her. "But you do know that you owe me now."

Aurora knitted her brow in confusion.

"Now you have to invite me to your graduation ceremony."

Aurora giggled and playfully slapped him on the arm. "You have a deal…oh!"

"What?" Draco asked curiously as Aurora hastily opened her purse, she seemed to be looking for something. She stopped and smiled, it appeared she has found what she was looking for. Aurora pulled out a plain black box and handed it to Draco.

"What is this?" Draco asked examining the box.

"Well, you'll have to open it to find out."

Draco shook his head and did what she said. Inside the box sat a golden pocket watch on a bed of red velvet. He lifted the watch up by its chain to examine it. The craftsmanship was spectacular; the front cover of the watch had the Malfoy crest carved into it with such precise accuracy. It even had the family dictum on it: "Sanctimonia Vincet Semper" [1]. He pressed the button on top to examine the inside of the watch. The interior read "Homines nulla re propius accedunt quam salutem hominibus dando dis."[2], a quote by the Roman philosopher Marcus Tullius Cicero. This would be by far the finest piece of jewelry he would ever own. Not just because of its superior craftsmanship, but simply because it was a gift from Aurora.

"I hope you like it." Aurora shuffled her feet nervously. "I had the family jeweler craft special for the occasion-"

Before Aurora had a chance to finish her sentence Draco leaned down and quickly pecked her on the cheek.

"It's wonderful, thank you!"

Aurora placed her hand on her cheek where he had kissed her. A pink blush that matched her dressed formed on her cheeks.

"I am very happy to hear that." She said flashing an embarrassed smile.

Aurora stumbled down the hall, barefoot with her heels in her hand, as she struggled to make it to her apartment. She had not anticipated that she would be invited to Draco's celebratory dinner or end up in Mr. Malfoy's wine cellar, having him pour her one glass of wine after another. Funny man, that one; normally when people heard the name "Lucius Malfoy", they would run in the other direction. However, Aurora found his brash ways to be quite amusing, which was why they got along so well.

Once she reached her destination Aurora fumbled for her wand, though she could not remember where she had placed it. Her struggle was soon put to an end when the door opened and a young woman was standing at the entrance.

"Where have you been?" She inquired sternly.

"Ramona, is that you?" Aurora asked squinting her eyes.

"Of course it's me! Who else could it-are you drunk?"

Aurora smiled like a mischievous child who had just been caught.

"Guilty." She admitted, putting her hands up.

Ramona laughed the moment she spotted Aurora's heels in her hands. I guess Miss Prim and Proper is finally letting loose. She had never seen Aurora intoxicated before, so she was sure she was going to get a kick out of this.

"Are you walking around barefoot? Why are you walking around barefoot?!"

"Well you see, sometimes, when the ground is spinning, it's wiser to forgo the heels."

Ramona let a hearty laugh and threw her arm around Aurora's shoulder and steered her inside. "I have to say Rory I am really enjoying this side of you."

Aurora sighed and bowed her head in shame. "Just don't tell my brothers!"

"Why would I? They're no fun."

"I know right!" Aurora plopped down onto the couch. "They're so…what's the word? Lame?"

Ramona chuckled. "Precisely so!" She took a seat next to her intoxicated friend. "Now tell me, where you out partying with Wyatt and Draco?"

"Draco-coat ceremony-drinking with Lucius in his wine cellar."

"Whoa, Malfoy Sr. actually allowed you young folk into his wine cellar."

"It was a special occasion!" Aurora stated defensively.

"Okay, okay calm down."

"I am calm."

"No you're not, you're drunk."

"You're just jealous because I had a better time than you did. And I'm not that drunk." She began to giggle. "Okay, more drunk than you, but not as drunk as that time I had tequila." Aurora let out a lough audible yawn, and rubbed her eyes, smearing her makeup.

"You've had tequila?"

"Wyatt." Aurora mumbled by way of explanation, and rested her head on the arm of the couch. Her eyelids were growing heavier by the second.

"Of course. If you're tired why don't you go sleep in your room?"

"Can't." Aurora sighed as she adjusted herself so she was lying down completely.

"Why?"

"Stairs." She groaned.

"Don't tell me that you can't make it up a flight of stairs?" Ramona placed her hands on her hips.

"Sleep in my room, I want to stay down here." Aurora turned over so her back was to Ramona and she instantly feel asleep.

"Suit yourself, Rory." With a wave of her want a blanket instantly appeared to cover Aurora's sleeping form. Ramona decided to take Aurora up on her offer and made her way upstairs for she decided that she should get some sleep as well.
