Author's Note: Hello everyone! I just noticed that it's been a year since I starting posting this story, and I want to thank you all for reading. I really hope you are enjoying it thus far! Please remember to review! ^_^

A week had past and Aurora's leg had finally healed completely thanks to the anointment that the Healer gave her. The wound mended and she was able to walk again, the only thing that ailed her now was the scar that it had left. She'll have to ask Draco if anything could be done about it when she gets the chance.

Aurora walked down the street of the quaint town of Montclair. The region she was in was referred to as Upper Montclair. It had a big wizarding population living amongst the Muggle inhabitance. There were countless boutiques, adorable cafes and restaurants. But she wasn't here to shop for clothes or eat food, Aurora had come here because she was in need of a new wand.

When Aurora turned the corner the shop she was looking for came into view. She looked up at the sign that was placed at the entrance of the store, it read "The Paper Boutique" this was the place. Aurora pushed the door opened and a bell rang upon her entering.

"Be with you in a minute!" A female voice called from the back of the establishment. Aurora looked around at all of the customized stationary and greeting cards as she waited. Yes, this was indeed a paper boutique that had everything from stationary to bookmarks and post cards but this was a disguise used for Muggle customers. All the wands where kept in a different part of the shop where only magical folk had access.

"Aurora! How lovely to see you!" A teenaged witch of 16 with dirty blonde hair dressed in a lilac sundress emerged.

"Hello Cornelia, how are you?"

"I'm well, and yourself?"

"I'm okay, though, I think I would be better if I had a wand."

"What happened to your wand?"

"Oh well to make a long story sort, I fell and it broke. Is your father here?"

"No, I'm afraid not. He's gone back to Amsterdam, it appears that some ministry official is in need of a new wand and he insisted on seeing my father."

"I see."

"My mother is here, she'll be able to help you."

"Great!"

"Yeah, just follow me."

Cornelia Van Coevorden was the youngest of three, she had an older brother and sister, Corday and Isolt. The Van Coevordens are a Dutch pureblood family that moved to America in the early 1980s and settled in this lovely New Jersey town of Montclair. Hein Van Coevorden was a famous wand maker, his skills were sought after by many nobles and ministry officials. He was a good friend of her uncle's, Mr. Van Coevorden and his family have been over her uncle's mansion for many occasions. Aurora had received her first wand from this man and she absolutely refused to go to anyone else. Even for small things like wand maintenance and tune ups, she only went to Mr. Van Coevorden.

"So, how's your cousin Avrom?" Cornelia asked as she continued to lead Aurora to the back of the shop and into a long corridor.

"I honestly don't know, I have not seen him in a while."

"Is he still determined to become an Auror?" Cornelia asked as she opened the door at the end of the corridor.

"Yes, I believe so. But before he can pursue a career he has to finish school first." Aurora chuckled.

"Oh, well tell him that if he ever needs a tune up or anything to stop by, it's been so long since we've seen any of you!" Cornelia smiled.

"I will." Aurora returned the smile, she had a feeling that Cornelia fancied her cousin, Gavin's son, Avrom. He was a handsome boy of 17 who had a big heart, God bless him; he was an absolute klutz. Both women entered a room that seemed to go on for miles and miles, there were large shelves with hundreds of wand cases stacked on top of each other that stretched all across the length of the room.

"Mom, look who's here!"

A middle aged witch who was sitting at the wooden counter in the middle of the room looked up from the wand she was polishing. She pushed up her glasses to the bridge of her nose. Her black hair was pulled into a tight bun and she was dressed in black velvet robes decorated with green ivy vines coiling around each other.

"Ah, Aurora, how are you child?"

"I am well Mrs. Van Coevorden. How are you?" Aurora smiled, she really liked Geeta Van Coevorden. She was simply a lovely woman to talk to. Very cordial and poised, she made all her guests feel at home.

"I'm fine, and your aunt and uncle, are trust that they are well."

"Yes, they send their regards."

Geeta nodded. "Now, tell me dear, what can I help you with?"

"I need a new wand."

"Is there something wrong with your old one?"

"Yes, unfortunately I had an accident and it broke."

"Ah," Geeta gave Aurora a warm smile, "then you've come to the right place."

After a few attempts and mishaps, as a result of those attempts, Aurora was finally able to find a wand best suited for her. It was difficult business finding a new wand, especially after owning a previous one for almost a decade.

"There you are my dear, laurel wood, phoenix feather core, 113/4 inches, supple flexibility. It's a fine wand indeed." Geeta carefully placed it in a wooden case before handing it to Aurora.

"Thank you madam-"

"Mom?" Called a voice of a young man from the corridor.

"Over here Corday!" Cornelia called her brother over.

Aurora heard footsteps coming towards the door. There stood a tall young man with black hair like his mother and blue eyes that matched his sister's.

"Mom where's-"He stopped immediately upon seeing Aurora and smiled. "Well if it isn't Aurory-Borealis. What brings you here to our humble abode?"

Aurora tittered at her nickname, Corday was an old friend and was the only person who was allowed to call her 'Aurory-Borealis', secretly she really like the name. "Hello Corday. I was in need of a new wand."

"Ah, what have you been up to? Last time I saw you, you were a skinny little 15 year old who dreamt of being the star of Swan Lake. Although I'm not sure how much really changed you are still skinny."

Aurora smiled and shook her head. "Yes, and I was in a production of Swan Lake as well."

"Yeah I know, mom and dad wouldn't stop talking about how amazing you were when they saw you perform in Moscow. What happened? Give up your dream of becoming a famous ballet dancer?"

"Yes, unfortunately."

"But why?" Cornelia asked with a hint of disappointment in her voice. "You were such a lovely dancer."

"Knee injury." Aurora said trying to hide the bitterness from her voice.

It's true as a child she had already dreamt about become a famous ballet dancer or a pianist. It really depended what mood she was in that day, she was such a fickle child; when she had the opportunity of dancing in The Imperial Russian Ballet it was like a dream come true. She'll never forget how devastated she was when she got the news that she could not dance anymore. Oh well, such as life, it was all filled with gross disappointments wasn't it?

"That's too bad. So what are you doing now?"

"I'm studying geology at the University of Applied Magical Studies, what about you?"

"This," Corday threw his arms up motioning to the countless wands stacked on the shelves, "I plan to continue the family business."

"Good for you."

"Aurora would you like to stay for dinner?" Cornelia piped up suddenly.

"Oh-no-I couldn't, I don't want to impose-"

"Don't be foolish child," Geeta interjected "we would love to have you, please stay."

Aurora couldn't help but accept the invitation, the Van Coevordens where always great company. They were so relaxed and humble, not to mention they had the wildest stories since they were involved in a business that required one to obtain phoenix feathers, unicorn hairs, dragon heart strings, etc. it was never a bore listening to their tales and adventures.
