Day 16 Prompt: Petty Disagreement / Fight
Takes place just before Get It Done (7x15).
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Buffy asked as Anya dived cheerfully out of the room to get ready.
"Nothing's gonna happen, luv," he soothed. "Jus' need some air, is all."
"And yet you keep turning me down to patrol," she retorted, not even caring if she sounded petty.
He sighed.
"Killing just isn't what I need, right now."
"Spike, you're a vampire. No amount of drinking is gonna make up for a good fight and a kill."
"Noggin's bloody full of killing as it is, alright? Don't need no more of it."
She sighed, clenching her jaw.
For context, this happens right after Spike agrees to take Anya out for drinks.

PS: I don't think Buffy lashing out at him so harshly and unexpectedly in this episode was all about him not being strong enough to help her fight the First. I feel like watching him bury the demon deeper and deeper and turn into a mere shadow of himself would strongly contribute to that.
