Author's Note 1: Bit of a long one here simply to get through a small introduction all the students in 1-A after the test.
It was pointed out to me, that I forgot I had Izuku destroy a Zero-Pointer at the end of the last chapter... this is true. I one hundred percent forgot about that due to the time between writing this and chapter 5. sorry about that!
The week after the U.A. Entrance Exam flew past, and much to everyone's joy Izuku managed to not get too terribly injured in his first real time using One for All in combat. Mostly a few scrapes, bruises, with the worst being the slight fracture in his left arm from when he used Seven Percent of One for All to hold the Zero-Pointer back for a few seconds while a couple other U.A. hopefuls, helped save a brown haired girl who was trapped under some debris, and a completely broken right arm from destroying the head of the Zero-Pointer with a one hundred percent punch. He'd only meant to do about twenty percent but had lost control at the last moment.
When Yagi and Naomasa arrived for a small party with Setsuna and Reiko's folks apart from Reiko's father who couldn't get the time off for the get together due to a few of his coworkers coming down with a bad case of food poisoning, Yagi admitted he was allowed to watch the exam due to being the Number One Hero but had declined from aiding in the process of choosing students, and was incredibly proud of how Midna, Izuku and Reiko handled themselves. Midna, Reiko and Setsuna noticed the small glance Naomasa sent Yagi but since he didn't say anything they let the matter drop.
When the letters from U.A. arrive, Midna quickly contacted Reiko and Setsuna so the four could open the letters together. When they arrived Setsuna said, "Let Izu-Kun open his first! It's only fair since in many ways he worked the hardest for it!"
"Agreed," Reiko said with a small smile on her face, "His strong will to never give in despite the bleakness life set before him is most admirable, and something we should strive to emulate."
"Heh… Thank's Rai-Chan," Izuku said with a blush that made him look like a strawberry, "But part of that was because I had you, Set-Chan and Midna-O-nēsan believing in me…"
"What was that phrase?" Midna said, tapping her chin with her impish grin, "Oh yeah… Well to put my take on it…" Standing up she put one foot on the low table, took an overly dramatic Heroic pose [that vaguely resembled one All Might made about eight years ago] and said, "If you can't believe in yourself then believe in us who believes in you!" Izuku and Reiko giggled while Setsuna howled with laughter, sitting back down with legs crossed with a wide grin, the orange haired teen said, "Well! Go on then!"
Nodding, Izuku tore open the envelope but instead of a letter there a metal disk, that flopped onto the table like a rolling coin before coming to a halt and began glowing, a holographic screen appearing about a meter above the disk, though it could only be properly seen from Izuku's directly so the three girls quickly moved around to watch it, Izuku blushing as he was squished between Midna and Reiko with Setsuna's detached head sitting on his own. The screen flickers for a few moments before All Might in a very out of place yellow and white pinstriped suit appeared on what looked like a gameshow site appeared, "I AM HERE AS A PROJECTION!"
"... So that look from Uncle Naomasa when Yagi said he was only there because he was the Number One Hero did mean something," Midna grumbled.
"YOUNG MIDORIYA AS I AM SURE YOUR SISTER AND FRIENDS ARE THERE WITH YOU WE DECIDED TO ESSENTIALLY PUT THE SAME MESSAGE INTO ALL FOUR OF YOUR HOLOGRAPHIC LETTERS!" All Might laughed, "FIRST I SHALL EXPLAIN YOUR RESULTS, THEN YOUR SISTERS, THEN YANAGI-SANS AND FINALLY TOKAGE-SANS! FIRST YOUR SCORE FOR THE WRITTEN EXAM WAS EXCELLENT! YOU MADE IT INTO THE TOP TEN ALONGSIDE YOUR SISTER AND YANAGI-SAN AS SUCH I MUST CONGRATULATE THEM AS WELL!"
"HELL YEAH!" Setsuna cheered, her arms shooting up into the air and flew around the room once before reattaching, "Bet that'll make Bomb-boy salty AF!"
"NOW ONTO YOUR PRACTICAL PORTION! IN COMBAT POINTS YOU REACHED A RESPECTABLE FORTY TWO WHICH IS WELL WITHIN THE PASSABLE AREA BUT AS YOU MIGHT HAVE SUSPECTED THAT WASN'T ALL THERE WAS TO THE TEST! FOR HOW CAN WE CALL OURSELVES HEROS IF WE DO NOT COME TO THE AID OF OTHERS IN TIMES OF NEED? THAT IS WHY U.A. ALSO HAS RESCUE POINTS! DUE TO YOUR ACTIONS IN PROTECTING OTHER EXAMINEES, BE IT THOUGH PULLING THEM OUT OF DANGER, TAKING THE ATTACK YOURSELF, OR EVEN HOLDING THE ZERO-POINTER BACK FOR A FEW SHORT BUT NO DOUBT DAUNTING SECONDS BEFORE MANAGING TO DESTROY IT, YOU HAVE BEEN AWARDED THIRTY FIVE POINTS BRINGING YOUR TOTAL UP TO SEVENTY SEVEN! MAKING YOU TIED FOR SECOND PLACE!"
"THERE WE GO!" Midna cheered, "That's you showing off not just your hard work but heroic spirit!"
"NOW ONTO YOUR SISTER, AND I APOLOGIZE IF I INSULT EITHER OF YOU BUT DUE TO YOU BOTH GOING BY MIDORIYA, FOR THIS PLEASE ALLOW ME TO CALL YOU BY YOUR FIRST NAME. MIDNA-CHAN IN COMBAT POINTS YOU EARNED FORTY POINTS EXACTLY, ONCE MORE WITHIN PASSABLE LEVELS. RESCUE POINTS HOWEVER IS WHERE YOU SHINED! FOR ASSISTING OTHERS IN JUST ABOUT EVERY WAY I MENTIONED BEFORE, BUT ALSO TAKING IT UPON YOURSELF TO DISTRACT AND ULTIMATELY DESTROY THE ZERO-POINTER, YOU HAVE BEEN AWARDED THIRTY-EIGHT POINTS, BRINGING YOUR TOTAL TO SEVENTY EIGHT AND PUTTING YOU IN THE TOP SPOT FOR THE EXAM THIS YEAR!"
Midna and Setsuna gained almost identical impish grins as they began cackling in unison while Reiko raised her arms above her head in celebration, her normally stoic eyes dancing with joy.
"NEXT YANAGI-SAN! IN COMBAT POINTS I'M SAD TO SAY YOU ONLY ACHIVED TWENTY NINE POINTS WHICH JUST MISSES THE PASSING GOAL. HOWEVER AS YOU MOST LIKELY HAVE SURMISED YOUR RESCUE POINTS TIP THE SCALES IN YOUR FAVOR! YOU GAINED TWENTY ONE RESCUE POINTS MAKING YOUR TOTAL FIFTY ON THE DOT! FINALLY TOKAGE-CHAN! YOUR WRITTEN PORTION OF THE RECOMMENDATION EXAMS PUT YOU AT THE SECOND HIGHEST SCORE, AND THE PHYSICAL PORTION PROVED THAT YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES!" Holding his hand out to the camera his grin grew slightly, "AS SUCH I CANNOT SAY HOW PROUD AND HONORED I AM TO SAY WELCOME TO ULTRA ACADEMY HIGH, YOUR HERO ACADEMIA!" The hologram then shut down.
"That's what I'm talking about!" Midna and Setsuna cheered, as Midna got to her feet pulling Izuku, Setsuna's headless body pulling Reiko to her feet as they celebrated, "Top of the board in basically every way!"
"Damn straight!" Setsuna laughed as her head lifted into the air so her body could ruffle Izuku's hair, "Always knew the green-bean was smarted then he let on, though I shouldn't be surprised considering his analysts are on par with professionals in my most humble opinion!"
"Come on… I'm not that good… am I?" Izuku asked haltingly.
"Your skills of breaking down and understanding Quirks is a very powerful skill regardless of what the…" Reiko said before pausing as if looking for the right words, "Uninformed ones might believe. On the field it would allow you to quickly and efficiently come up with ways to counter Villains so they deal as little damage as possible. It is a skill that most takes years to learn yet you have an almost instinctive grasp on it… I am hesitant to suggest this but perhaps once we are at U.A. you should ask Recovery Girl to check to see if you really were Quirkless before receiving One for All? It could be that the doctor you saw misdiagnosed you but whether that was a willful choice to ruin a child's dream or not I cannot say."
"If he did, I am one hundred percent asking All Might to use his fame to get that place investigated," Midna growled, her hair wriggled like a snake ready to strike for a moment, making the other's look at her in shock.
"Uhh… Midna? Why did your hair just wriggle like a pissed off snake?" Setsuna asked, her head reattaching to her body.
"It did what? Oh fuck!" Midna said, hand slapping her forehead. Her hair then surged out and took the form of a hand which waved, "Kinda forgot I figured out how to do this with having to get ready for the exam? Hehe…" Midna chuckled, hoping that her friends would buy the excuse.
"... I smell so much bullshit right now it's not even funny," Setsuna deadpanned, getting a nod from Raiko, while Izuku did the one thing Midna couldn't stand. He gave her the big eyed 'I am disappointed in you' look that only a little brother could give.
"FINE!" Midna huffed as she sat down, her form going pitch black before she took on her new imp form, the piece of the Fused Shadow sitting proudly on her head as the grumpy imp retold her encounter with the Light Spirit… even if she did change a couple small details, "So the Golden Goddesses are real, I'm apparently the princess of a race called the Twili so everything I do is flat out magic, and I have three more pieces of a dark artifact to find. Happy now?" Looking up Midna's visible eye went wide before she glared at Setsuna who was taking pictures of Midna on her phone.
"Oh I am so going to make this my background picture," The verdette snickered as she, Reiko and Izuku sat down as well, Midna once more taking her true form, "And yeah I am. I mean I get why you wanted to keep this a secret considering how… out there it is."
"I still feel like you have not told us everything, but some things are better left in the dark until they are needed," Reiko stated as she looked at Midna, her blue eye shining in curiosity, "Though I am now curious what other parts of the Zelda Franchise are real, and how they became works of fiction."
"... Hide a secret in plain sight by making everyone think it's made up?" Izuku suggested.
"... That would be the most sneaky, devious, manipulative plan ever…" Setsuna gasped before she gave a wide toothy grin, "I now accept this as Cannon!"
"But…This is real life?" Izuku said slowly… "Should we double check the envelope to see it I missed anything considering All Might's message didn't say which homeroom we'd be in?"
"Good thinking," Midna nodded.
"Still sucks that Rei-Chan and Set-Chan are in 1-B instead of 1-A," Midna grumbled, as she and her brother walked through the halls of U.A. towards their homeroom. Opening the surprisingly large door they saw Bakugo leaning back in his chair with his feet on his desk, with the blue haired teen that Midna called out reproaching him. When the two noticed the opened door, Bakugo scowled small sparks forming in his palms, while the blue haired teen robotically moved towards them. Scanning over the room Midna counted twenty one desks.
"Greetings! I am Tenya Ida formerly of Somei Private Academy! I must commend you for figuring out the hidden meaning of the exam! I should have expected a deeper meaning from a prestigious institution such as U.A.! I…"
"Slow down there Ida-San," Midna interrupted, causing him to stop talking as Midna subtly motioned for her brother to find a seat far away from Bakugo which he did and quickly moved past the two, "Before you continue I have a quick question."
"And that is?" Ida asked.
"What is the main job of a Hero?" Midna Inquired, getting everyone else in the room to stop and look at her confused.
"To stop villains and protect the peace of course!" Ida replied readily, "Why do you ask? Surely you must know that due to being accepted at U.A.!"
"WRONG!" Midna said as she crossed her arms making an 'X', "The job of a Hero is first and foremost protecting the people, and that includes the Villains because you don't know what led them there. For example if they're being blackmailed, or desperate to help a family member with no other options that can get the money for a last minute surgery for a couple examples. Now if you excuse me, I would like to get to my seat before our Sensei arrives," As Midna moved past the stunned blue haired boy, the brown haired girl Izuku had saved doing the same with a thoughtful look.
A couple minutes later when all but two desks were filled and Ida was still standing there looking at the still opened door when someone in a yellow sleeping bag slowly crawled up and looked unimpressed at Ida, "Get to your seat…" Ida shook himself and quickly made his way to his seat, his movements somehow more robotic then before.
Getting out of the sleeping bag, the gangled, black clad figure of Eraserhead stood his long gray scarf hanging off his shoulders, "I am Shota Aizawa, your homeroom teacher, nice to meet you."
"Hi Eraserhead-Sensei," Midna said with a cheeky grin and wave.
"Problem Child number two," Aizawa replied without missing a beat.
"Wait, you two know each other already?" a girl with pink skin, fluffy pink hair, curled yellow horns and black eyes said surprised.
"Her brother was an incredibly late bloomer due to his Quirk needing certain previously unknown requirements due to an incompetent doctor. Because of this an associate of mine on the police force brought him here to get proper training due to how powerful his Quirk is," Aizawa explained, getting nods from around the room while Bakugo crossed his arms and grumbled, "Now we have a few things to go over today. First is… we're skipping orientation because I doubt any of us want to waste at minimum two hours listening to one of Nezu's long winding speeches. There is a pamphlet in your desk that goes over everything important anyways. Next about the twenty-first seat in the back, that is something new Nezu implemented this year in case I find someone with potential during the Sports Fest which will take place next month. Finally I will be having each of you do a Quirk Apprehension Test to get a baseline of your current abilities, the gym uniforms and instructions to the changing rooms you need are also in your desk. Take them and meet me outside in at most five minutes, starting… now."
The twenty students hurried to follow his instructions and rushed out of the room. Midna was the first onto the field since she simply ducked into her shadow and used her OP inventory powers to switch outfits. Something she'd been doing for years, Aizawa simply nodded to Midna at how quickly she got ready. Once the rest arrived with a few of the girls shooting Midna annoyed looks, the orange haired girl simply gave them an impish grin and turned to look at Aizawa-Sensei.
"Three minutes-forty five seconds… good. You're being practical. The skill of getting into your Hero Outfit quickly is a vital one, as each second could mean life and death to some civilians during dire emergencies," Aizawa stated, "Fifty-Meter Dash, Grip Strength, Standing Long Jump, Repeated Side Steps… during Middle School you did all these tests without your Quirks. This is highly illogical as without knowing your base beforehand we need to waste time doing it now… and if I hear any of you call this 'fun' then there will be consequences I promise none of you will like. You want to socialize, do it on your own time, instead of during my class. Problem Child number one, what was the farthest distance you could throw a softball during middle school?"
"Umm… I think it was about twenty four meters? That was before I started taking physical training seriously though…" Izuku said.
"Still not bad for someone who spent most of their time studying or doing their hobby of Quirk Analyst I'd say," Midna grinned, getting a couple nods from her classmates.
"Now do it with your Quirk, and don't go over your limit…" Aizawa said, tossing a blue and yellow soft ball to the verdette.
"Wait, if you know what he can do, wouldn't that risk favoritism?" A tall buxom girl with her black hair tied into a ponytail asked.
"It just means that since I know what he can do I'll have higher expectations. If he… or any of you for that matter starts slacking off now, you'll be out of the Hero Course faster than you can blink, and that's if I don't just expel you outright." Aizawa stated, making many gulp, wondering if all teachers at U.A. were this strict, "As I was saying, enter the circle behind me, and throw the ball. If you leave it, your score for this test will become a zero with no chances of a redo."
"Yes sir," Izuku said and entered the circle. He closed his eyes in focus, and slowly emerald green sparks began dancing over his clothes as his hair stood on end.
"Huh… Someone else with an Electricity Quirk," A teenaged boy with yellow hair with a black strip in the shape of a lightning bolt said, "And he's using it internally too… wonder if I can do that."
"Sadly the sparks are more of a side effect of his Quirk," Midna explained, "We're not quite sure why they appear though. Honestly I think it would be cooler if he had more of a DBZ aura."
"Fair enough!" The teen laughed while behind them Bakugo's scowl deepend.
Opening his eyes, Izuku pulled back his arm and threw the ball with all of his might. A few seconds later Aizawa looked at his phone, "Fifty two meters. Good, now how much power did you put into it?"
"I want to say about five, maybe six percent? It's difficult to tell the exact percentage sometimes," Izuku replied, "I didn't go to my full limit since I didn't want to lose control and injure myself and we have more tests to do after this."
Aizawa nodded, "A logical reason. We'll test it again with your current max limit once everything else is done, if you still have the energy. If not, I want you to come in early tomorrow so we can take care of it then."
"Yes sir," Izuku said before moving out of the circle.
"WHAT THE FUCK DEKU!" Bakugo roared as he couldn't hold his anger in and charged at Izuku small explosions already dancing on his palms, "Were you looking down on me when we were younger?!"
Aizawa threw his scarf out at Bakugo which quickly wrapped around the angry blond, his eyes glowing red, "I don't know how the teachers at your last school didn't put a lid on your temper but one more incident like this and you're out of the Hero Course. Now quit making me use my Quirk, you're giving me dry-eye," Bakugo struggled for a couple moments before slumping down and nodding, "Good. Now since we've already started with the ball throw we might as well finish…" The test continued on relatively peacefully after that. Ida wound up kicking the softball the engines in his calves granting him extra power, a girl with a frog quirk, and a boy who could shoot tape out of his elbows turned themselves into living trebuchets, a boy with the head of a raven and yellow beak summoned a being made of shadows called ironically enough Dark Shadow who could leave the circle for a bit of extra reach and the girl Izuku saved who's name was Ochako Uraraka got an infinity on her throw since she removed the effects of gravity from the ball.
When it was finally Midna's turn she had her impish grin and called, "All right! Fetch and run for it boy!" Throwing the ball everyone but Aizawa and Izuku were surprised when a black wolf with dreadlocks and a stone shield on its forehead shot out of her shadow and bounded for the ball.
"Hey Fumi, she's stealing our shtick!" Dark Shadow yelled indignantly as he came out of his partner's back.
"A few key differences are that my puppers aren't attached to my shadow,, doesn't have fingers… and are fluffy!" Midna cheered, making Dark Shadow grumble while his partner had a small smirk.
"A fellow practitioner of Darkness. I must admit I am slightly surprised," He said with a small bow.
Aizawa just groaned, "I'll just put you down for five hundred meters. That's roughly the distance between here and U.A'.'s farthest wall anyways. Now call you mutt back so we can move on."
"Already did sir," Midna grinned, her wolf rising out of the shadows next to Aizawa and gently placing the ball on the ground next to him, before returning to the shadows, "I called him back the moment you said you'd just put down five hundred meters."
"Cheeky brat," he grunted into his scarf to hide his smirk. While she may be chaotic, he couldn't deny she also knew when to shape up and be practical. It took about an hour and a half to complete every test Aizawa threw at them, "I'll just show you, your over all rankings for now and send your personal scores to you by email at some point this week," Aizawa announced, and clicked a button on his phone releasing a holographic screen.

"Remember this is just your current baseline, and I expect you all to strive to improve as the year goes on," Aizawa stated, "Now before I let you all go for the day, I want each of you to introduce yourself with at least one detail about you, and give a basic description of your Quirk," The students gave him an odd look, "I don't want you socializing during my class due to wanting to use it to focus on getting you all prepared for when you're Heroes. Natural Disasters, Common Criminals, Villains, Terrorists and worse wait for you when you graduate in three years time. As such I want to make every second count to get you all ready to face them. However I cannot expect you all to work together if you know nothing about each other. Even Underground Heroes like myself occasionally need to team up."
"Perhaps we should go by rankings to make things move quicker then?" Midna suggested getting a nod from Aizawa.
"Alright then," The pony-tailed girl said, "My name is Momo Yaoyorozu, Heiress of the Yaoyorozu estate, and if I accidentally flaunt my wealth please let me know. I haven't really had any real friends before as everyone wanted to use me to get closer to my parents. My Quirk is called Creation, it lets me use my lipids to turn molecules in the air into anything I know the chemical makeup of, such as the air cannon and electric scooter from earlier."
"So… kinda like Alchemy from FullMetal Alchemist?" the blond haired electric user now known as Kaminari asked.
"I… I'm afraid I don't know what that is," Yaoyorozu admitted with a blush, "I'll look it up tonight and get back to you on it tomorrow?"
"It's not a problem," Kaminari replied, with a grin before turning to Midna.
"Name's Midna Midoriya, adopted older sister of Izuku here," Midna said grinning at her brother, "Feel free to just call me Midna since having two 'Midoriya-Sans' in the same class will get confusing quickly. I'm a fan of Chaos that brings growth, change and new ways of thought so don't be surprised if I do some chaotic stuff once in a while, even if it's just for laughs. My Quirk is called Shadow Force and gives me a few abilities such as sinking into my shadow which doubles as a Video Game Inventory with an as of yet unknown limit, can summon shadow wolves like the one you saw earlier, and recently I discovered that I can do this!" Grinning Midna's hair wriggled before shooting out to form a hand which waved and gave them a thumbs up, "Also Bro and I have two friends in Class 1-B so don't be surprised if we hang out with them during lunch."
"An interesting ray of abilities," Tokoyami said with a small nod, "What a mad feast of Darkness."
"Or 'Awesome' in Tokoyami," Dark Shadow translated with a smirk on his pitch black face, his yellow eyes crinkling as he smiled before cackling, "Oh I think you and I are going to get along just fine Middy!"
"... maybe I should see about starting a club for chaotic U.A. Members?" Midna mused the very thought making Aizawa shudder slightly, "Something to look into later. Anyways your turn bro!"
"My name is Izuku Midoriya, I like to do Quirk Analysis and have been doing it since I was misdiagnosed with being Quirkless when I was four. I call my Quirk 'Well of Energy', as per the name it gives me a surprisingly vast well of energy I can use to enhance my self physically, the visible sign of this being the green sparks around me, though as I only reached the previously unknown requirements for it last year I can't fully control it and don't know if I can manipulate the energy in other ways."
"Yeesh. Must have been one hell of a bad doc to misdiagnose you like that!" Kirishima a red haired teen with a Hardening Quirk gasped, "And you made it here within a year thanks to a little help and hard work right?" Seeing Izuku nod Kirashima gave a toothy grin and said, "That's pretty damn Manly of you bro!"
"... Elfman is your favorite character from Fairy Tail isn't he?" Hagakure the invisible girl giggled.
"Damn straight!" Kirishima cheered, "Though since my dad might as well be a carbon copy of Elfman it's easy to fall into that mindset."
"Shoto Todoroki," A male with the left side of his hair being red with an icy blue eye and the right side of his hair being pure white with a coal black eye, "My Quirk makes Ice…"
"No it doesn't," Aizawa grunted, making everyone stare at him, "It makes Fire and Ice, I don't know what problems you have with your ability to make fire are but you need to shape up and quit ignoring it," Todoroki scowled at this but didn't say anymore.
"Name's Bakugo Katsuki! Better shape up extras or I'll blow you all to Hell!" Bakugo growled, small explosions popping in his palms, "My Quirk is called Explosion and it should be fucking obvious what it does!"
"... How uncivilized," A tall teen with silver hair styled exactly like the Pro Hero Edgeshot, to show only one eye. He also wore a mask over the lower part of his face, "I am Mezo Shoji and I am currently considering starting out as an Underground Hero like my idol Edgeshot. My Quirk Dubli-arms gives me these… I suppose you can say wing or fin-like tentacles attached to my arms that can morph into extra body parts such as … well extras arms, hands, eyes, ears or even…" He held up his left arm revealing a second mouth which he'd been talking through the entire time, "Mouths."
"Question," Izuku said with a tilted head as he wrote in a notebook that everyone now realized had been in his hands since the introductions began, "Are you restricted to only human eyes and ears or can you mimic a cat's eyes or bat ears?"
"I… haven't tried," Shoji admitted, "I'll do a bit of research to learn more about how they work and get back to you on that."
"Thanks!" Izuku said with a grin
"Oh and if anyone wants suggestions on how to use their Quirk, feel free to ask. I'm sure Bro, myself or even our friends in 1-B can come up with something," Midna stated, "Set-Chan, Rei-Chan and I aren't slouches in Quirk Analysis even if Bro is leagues ahead of us!"
"In other words Vald King's Problem Children," Aizawa sighed, "At least I don't have the full set."
"I am Tenya Ida!" Ida said, his arm chopping the air for some reason, "My Quirk is Engine it gives me the engine in my calves! With them I can reach great speeds even though I have a harder time maneuvering!"
"... You're related to Ingenium aren't you?" Midna asked, "Similar Quirk, same last name, same hair color…"
Ida slumped down, "Is it really that obvious? I was hoping to be able to get through most of the first year without anyone knowing so I can be known for my own actions… don't get me wrong my older brother, the current Ingenium is my idol and personal Hero but…"
"Don't worry about it," Kaminari said patting Ida on the back, "Just try not to be so stiff and rule abiding all the time alright? All work and no play after all."
"But… someone must keep order," Ida stated.
"That's what teachers are for," Sero, a constantly grinning black haired teen said easily, "They're here for a reason and part of that is to let us know when we get too rowdy," Ida nodded slowly, as if that thought hadn't occurred to him. Perhaps his previous teachers had abused his rule abiding personality to make him keep the peace instead?
"Tsuyu Asui, Kero," The black haired frog-like girl said, "I plan to become a water focused Hero to take full advantage of my family's natural amphibian Mutation Quirk. I'm also rather blunt and tend to speak my mind Kero."
"Fumikage Tokoyami, follower of the ways of Darkness due to always finding solace in it's cool embrace," Tokoyami stated, "I am the wielder of a rare Sentient Quirk in Dark Shadow who can move up to five meters away from me and grows stronger is darkness."
"Darkness, Darkness, Darkity, Darkness… have we reach our Kingdom Hearts Darkness Quota yet?" Midna asked with her impish grin, getting howls of laughter from Dark Shadow and smirks not only from Tokoyami but also from many of the other new students.
"... I walked right into that one," Tokoyami admited shaking his head.
"Name's Denki Kaminari, and before I continue I wanna thank you Midoriya," Kaminari said looking at Izuku, "I hadn't thought of using my Electrification Quirk internally before today. It lets me generate over a million Volts worth of current but my limit is nowhere near that, but dialing down the voltage is really damn difficult. If I go over my voltage I short circuit my brain which is both painful and makes me kinda dumb for at most ten minutes. Believe me it took years of frying my brain just to be able to give a thumbs up and go 'wheey' just to let others know I'm relatively alright… OH! I'm also slightly autistic with some ADHD thrown in too so if I say something rude I apologies in advance. Sometimes my mouth works faster than my brain."
"Ooff, That's a combo," The purple haired Jiro winced, "My ten year old cousin is the same. Smart kid but he does put his foot in his mouth more often then he'd like."
"Well you do what you can. Name's Ejiro Kirashima, my Quirk lets me harden my body. It may not be an overly flashy Quirk but I'm still going to do my best to be a Manly hero like my Idol Crimson Riot!"
"A good choice," The next student, a very tall and muscular boy with spiky brown hair and large lips said, "I'm Rikido Sato. I've been baking sweets for many years since my pa owns a bakery. It also helps that my Quirk is called Sugar Rush and gives me a boost in strength when I ingest sugar at the cost of mental capabilities, so don't be surprised if I bring in small treats for everyone once in a while."
"... You look a bit like the Pre-Quirk manga character Kinikuman thanks to your thick lips, you know that right?" Kaminari asked before instantly face palming, "Sorry. There I go putting my foot in my mouth again."
Sato laughed, "Trust me you're not the first to say that. Honestly I made my Hero Suit resemble his suit a little as a homage."
"Kyoka Jiro. Fan of several musical genres and able to play almost as many instruments since my parents own a music store" Jiro stated one of her fingers coiling around a natural Earphone Jack that extended from her earlobes, "My Quirk is Earphone Jack and lets me plug my natural jacks into walls or tree's to hear what's around me, or into my phone for natural headphones. I can also amplify the sound of my heartbeat, the blood moving through my veins and other internal sounds for a bit of offense."
"I'm Mina Ashido!" The pink skin girled cheered, "I'm a fan of break dancing, master of DDR and I've known Kiri-kun since elementary school so he's basically my brother by now! My Quirk let's me produce acid from my skin and I can control it's acidity and viscosity so I can make it super slimy, a natural glue or at worst flat out cartoon levels of acid but that not only dehydrates me faster than making other kinds of acid but that level can also harm me if I make to much of it as it wears down my natural acid resistance faster than anything else."
"... I sense many cartoon level hijinks in our future," Sero chuckled, "Nice to meet ya. Name's Hanta Sero, my Quirk lets me produce and shoot out different kinds of tape from my elbows, Currently I've got single side, double side and duct tape. I'm a rather chill guy who wants to focus on urban rescue and capture as a Hero."
The next student, a tall broad shouldered male with a rocky like face gulped before gathering his courage, "I… I'm Koji Koda…. I don't really like talking and prefer to use sign lenguage because when I was young… my… My schoolmates and teachers thought I could control them through my Q-Quirk Anivoice, which lets me control Animals… though I prefer asking for their help. I plan to become an… Underground Hero focused more on intelligence gathering than fighting."
Aizawa nodded, "I can set up some sessions with U.A.'s first year counselor Hound Dog if you want and he does know sign language if your worried about your Quirk affecting him."
"... Can I think about it for a bit?" Koda asked, getting another nod from Aizawa and a sigh of relief from Koda, "Thank you…"
"I'm Ochaco Uraraka," Uraraka said with a smile, "My Quirk removes the effect of gravity from a person or object I touch with all five fingers and I cancel the effects by touching my fingers together. I want to become a Rescue Hero like my favorite Hero Thirteen and…," Here Uraraka paused as if unsure if she wanted to continue before nodding, "Since we're all being honest here… part of the reason I want to become a Hero is to help financially support my parents who own a construction company but since we do things the old fashioned way since Quirk Licenses are so expensive we've been on hard times since I was a kid and it doesn't look like it'll get better any time soon."
Yaorozu thought for a moment, "I… if you want I can ask my parents if they can look into investing in your family's company? I know I might be flaunting here and I do apologize but isn't helping others in need part of what it means to be a Hero?"
"You… you'd do that?" Uraraka asked surprised, tears appearing at the edges of her eyes.
"Your parents would need to show they do good work first and the end decision would be up to my parents but it's worth a shot?" Yaorozu said before yelping in surprise from the hug Uraraka suddenly gave her.
"Thank you!" Uraraka said crying into the taller girl's shoulder, "You have no idea how much this means to me!"
"Awww! What a cute moment!" Hagakure cheered, waving her arms enthusiastically, "I wish I had a camera! My name's Toru Hagakure! A purveyor of cute things, cheer and generally being an uplifting spirit! My Quirk is a mutation type that bends light around my body so I'm invisible! Oh Sensei before I forget once we're through can I get directions to the support department? In my acceptance letter I was told to visit after class let out."
"Ah for a DNA infused suit," Aizawa stated getting more enthusiastic arm waving from Hagakure showing he was right, "I'll give you the directions after the last introduction… no ill just take you there. That class has its own Problem Child this year."
"Then we should be moving on, non?" A blond haired boy said with a dramatic pose as small sparkles appeared around his face, "I am Yugo Aoyama mes amis! I am half french though my mère… sorry my mother. I grew up in France until I was ten when my parents decided to move to my father's homeland when I decided to work towards becoming a Hero! As such I have a habit of slipping back into French occasionally. My Quirk is Navel Laser, and sadly it is not fully suited to mon body and overuse can cause internal damage, hence this belt which helps me control it and prevent the energy from leaking. My hope is that during my time at U.A. I can become better suited to it to become a true Hero!"
"Umm… why is your body not suited to your Quirk?" Izuku asked.
Aoyama slumped, "A very rare genetic mutation that only affects thoughts with laser-like or light manipulation Quirks. It is possible to overcome with enough entraînement… sorry training but it's a long process that needs proper guidance. Hence why I couldn't start until going to a Hero School," his explanation made everyone wince.
"... I don't know how to follow that up, so I'll just say I'm Minoru Mineta, and my Quirk lets me take the balls of my head, which stick to everyone but me. I bounce off them. The amount of time they stick to things depends on my overall mood at the time, so if I'm pissed at something but overall had a good day they'll stick for… at least an hour. OH and I want to be a Hero so girls will find me attractive!"
Everyone, even Aizawa just stared at the incredibly short, purple haired boy unimpressed, "Just remember U.A. has a zero bullying and sexual harassment policy," Aizawa stated the edges of his eyes glowing slightly, "So be on your best behaviour or else," Mineta gulped and nodded quickly, "With that you're all dismissed. Anyone who wishes to join me and Hagakure to ask the first year Support Teacher Power Loader questions feel free."
Author's Notes:
I wrote some of this chapter listening to 'God's Anger' from Yu-Gi-Oh and honestly… don't know if it had an impact in how I wrote or not, but it's such a good song for dramatic moments lol
Also pairings at this point haven't been decided, but I know that Izuku or Midna/Setsuna or Izuku or Midna/Reiko is unlikely as I see the four having a best friend/sibling kind of bond
… Am I petty enough to have Midna beat Bakugo by only a single point? Yes. Yes, I am. He may get better later on but DAMN do I HATE start of series Bakugo.
I changed up a few Quirks here, such as Momo's since it honestly makes a bit more sense to have her use molecules and the like in the air around her to make the items. Why else would her skin start glowing when she uses her Quirk… and yes 'because it looks cool' is a valid answer lol
… Yeah I'm kinda channeling a bit of myself into Kaminari here being low on the autism scale with some ADHD… this basically just means that how I process information is different to people without autism, and I tend to hyper focus on stuff occasionally. Good point: lots of ideas for stories that I can come up with a framework for relatively quickly. Bad point: TO MANY DAMN IDEAS!
Non is no in French while mes amis is 'my friends' in French [if Google Translate is correct]
