Jack Hotchner - 5

Henry LaMontagne - 2

Emily cuddled into Aaron's side as Dave took his place on the stage in front of them, stepping up to the mic.

"This should be fun," Aaron whispered to his bride of only a few minutes.

Emily chuckled softly, silently agreeing.

Rossi cleared his throat and began. "Instead of boring you all with some long speech about how well Emily and Hotch fit together, someone very special asked to say a few words. Please welcome Jack Hotchner to the stage." He took a step back as Jack walked onto the stage, looking so little and somehow so grown up in his suit.

Rossi unhooked the mic and sat down on the stage so the mic was level with Jack's mouth as the little boy gave a shy wave to the crowd.

"When my mommy died, my daddy was really sad. We were both really sad. Then Emmy came along and Daddy wasn't so sad no more. Emmy made us happy. She hugs us and kisses us, but sometimes she kisses Daddy on the mouth which is ucky! When Daddy and Emmy told me they were getting married I didn't understand what they were talking about, but Daddy said it meant that Emmy is gonna be in our lives forever and I'm really glad about that. Emmy, Daddy, I'm glad you are married. Love, Jack-Jack Hotchner."

The reception hall flooded with applause as Jack left the stage. Emily wiped a tear away.

"Well, nobody's going to be able to beat that, so let's eat!" Rossi declared.

Later that night, the reception hall had thinned out to almost just the B.A.U team. "I'm going to head out," Jessica stated, approaching with a sleeping Jack in her arms, his sandy brown hair flattening against her shoulder. "He's pretty tuckered out."

Aaron and Emily both stand and take turns gently kissing his chubby cheeks and quietly saying goodbye.

"Thanks for keeping an eye on him, Jess," Emily says.

"Oh, it's no problem. You know I love to spend time with him," Jess responded, glancing lovingly at her nephew.

"Do you want some help getting him in the car?" Aaron asked.

"That'd be lovely, thanks."

"I'll be right back, Em. Save me a dance," Aaron said, kissing his wife on the lips.

Aaron and Jess had barely gotten out of the door before Penelope and JJ were calling her onto the dance floor.

Emily threw away her plate and went to join her best friends.

"So now that you and Hotch are married does that mean we have to call you Mrs. Hotch?" Penelope asked in a high-pitched tone. She was drunk, very drunk.

"Not at work, but after hours I won't be upset if that's what you refer to me as."

"I still can't believe you're going to be boning our boss," JJ commented.

Emily rolled her eyes lovingly. "You're naive if you think I haven't already been boning him, Jayje."

"I don't blame you, Em, Hotch is hot. Like mega uber hot," Penelope mentioned.

"Watch it, Pen, he's Em's husband, not yours," JJ reminded her friend.

"I know that," Penelope said, exasperated. "I'm just saying, she could have done a lot worse."

"And you could have done a lot better than Kevin," JJ muttered under her breath.

If Penelope heard her she didn't say anything, instead she let out a squeal so loud that Emily jumped and others looked their way. "Let's dance!" She hastily grabbed the girls' hands and led them in a jerky-jumping-spinning drunken dance.

"Excuse me, ladies, may I steal my wife away?" Hotch asked, appearing next to the girls and placing his hand on the small of Emily's back.

"Only because you're our boss," JJ remarked, dropping Emily's hand.

"You kids have fun," Penelope called as she was led away.

"Remind me to lower her drink limit at the next wedding," Aaron said, spinning his wife into him.

"Are you planning to have more weddings, Mr. Hotchner?" Emily teased.

"If it's you, I'm marrying, I'll have a million weddings, Mrs. Hotchner."

Emily looked out at her friends and colleagues as Aaron swayed her. Penelope had found a new dance partner in Derek, to the unhappiness of Kevin, who slumped in a chair, glaring at the pair. Will and JJ were also sharing a dance, albeit much smoother. Their son, 2-year-old Henry was strongly fighting sleep on the shoulders of his god-father Spencer whose dancing skill rivaled Derek and Penelope's. Dave, the only team member not currently on the dance floor, was busy flirting with the bartender.

"I wonder what this year will be like for the team," Emily wondered out loud.

"I don't know, but we'll get through whatever comes up. Together." Aaron assured her. "Look up."

Emily directed her attention up. Beyond the glass ceiling, the darkened sky was lighting up with fireworks.

"Happy New Year, Emily Hotchner."
