Emerald looked at RR, "So what exactly is this world about?"
"Well, like I said before, this world is about Pirates, and the world they are in is mostly composed of Ocean, Ruby is the Captain of the Redhood pirates, she possesses something called a "Devil Fruit" A fruit that allows the one who eats it to a specific power in exchange for them not being able to swim, Ruby has the Gomu-Gomu-no-mi, it allows her to body to be and act like rubber," RR said.
"Sounds so cool!" Ruby said with a sparkle in her eyes.
"Jaune is her first mate and a swordsman who uses what he calls, the 3-sword style," RR said.
Pyrrha looked a little confused, "Three sword style?" she asked, "How can he use 3 swords?"
RR just smiled at the spartan woman, "You'll see," RR said, "Besides Ruby and Jaune, the two other crew members are Emerald, who Ruby wants to be her navigator, and Neptune, their sniper, and Ruby also wants Mercury to join her crew since she needs a cook, but he's also a great fighter, on par with Jaune himself, though as of this moment, Emerald has stolen their ship, The Going Merry," RR said
Emerald looked a little confused, "If I'm a part of their crew, why would I steal their ship?" she asked.
RR turned to her, "That will be explained for another time, but for now, Jaune is about the face the person he had set out to face his whole life, so he can fulfill his dream and keep a promise to a friend,"
Everyone was intrigued and sat back to watch, wondering what was about to happen in this universe.
The scene opened up with someone screaming aborad a half-sunken ship next to a ship in the shape of a fish in what appeared to be the middle of the ocean.
"DON KRIEG! IT'S HER! THE ONE WHO DESTROYED OUR FLEET!"
"She followed us all the way out here!" came another cry.
"She's come to kill us all!"
Many in the audience were now much more invested since the people were crying out in fear of a single woman, who had destroyed their fleet by herself.
Hearing this, the man, who must have been Don Krieg, looked in fear, "That... bitch!" he cried.
It then showed Jaune who also looked rather shocked, "It can't be... is that... the Hawk-eyed woman!?" He cried.
"Hawk-eyed woman?" Yang asked with a raised brow.
On the fish-shaped ship, the chefs looked forward, as in the distance, a small ship that could only carry a single person floated toward them, on it appeared to be a woman with long black hair and a large hat with a feather that obscured her face.
"She's the one who sank 50 ships!?" One cried.
"Then... she's the one who just sank Don Krieg's ship just now!?" cried another.
"She looks like a normal woman," said a 3rd, "And she doesn't look like she's carrying any special weapon on her,"
Just then a man with a braided mustache and beard faced the woman on the ship, "If you're looking for a weapon, it's on her back," said the man, this was Zeff, the owner of the ship and restaurant.
The crew was shocked as behind the woman was a large cross-shaped handle made of gold and decorated with elegant jewels.
"Wha!? You mean she used that giant thing to cut a whole ship in half!?"
Many were shocked by what they had just heard, while it wasn't uncommon for a huntsman to wield a giant weapon, cutting a whole ship in half with a single swing of their weapon was unheard of.
"Just who is this chick!?" Nora cried
Pyrrha nodded, "I'd like to know that as well," She said, interested in a fighter that was no doubt leagues above her.
Yang looked at the woman on the boat and couldn't help but feel a sense of familiarity.
Zeff nodded, "Yes, that "Hawk-eyed" Woman is a renowned swordswoman," he told them, "More renowned than any swordsmen in this world," Zeff told them.
And finally, the woman was revealed to be none other than Raven Branwen, who held the title of the world's strongest swordswoman.
Yang was shocked to see her mother on screen, and Ruby was too as she looked over to see her older sister in the same boat.
"M-Mom...?" Yang called.
Many who heard Yang looked at Yang with shocked looks.
"Whoa! That's your mom!?" Neptune cried
Blake was shocked to see Yang's mother and remembered the story Yang had told her about her looking for her when she was young.
Weiss looked at the screen and she was in awe at how... alike she and Yang looked, they simply just had different hair and eye color, but everything else, it was like seeing a different version of Yang.
Mercury looked over to Emerald, "Remind me not to get on blondie's bad side," he told Emerald.
Emerald nodded, "Only if you do the same," she told him.
Raven finally looked up and her eyes stared right into the camera, and it was like she was staring right into the audience, and they all felt a sense of dread just by looking at the woman on the screen.
One of the pirates looked at Raven with a fearful look before standing up and yelling at her, "Damn it! What the hell did we ever do to you! Why the hell are you following us!?" they asked.
Raven seemed displeased by the man shouting and turned toward him, "Just to kill time," Raven told him.
The pirate growled in anger, "That's bullshit!" the pirate cried as he pulled out two pistols and shot at Raven.
Raven sluggishly grabbed her sword, which revealed the blade to be large and curved and for some reason was pure black, and she merely held it out to her side and the bullet whizzed past Raven, not even grazing her.
All the pirates looked in shock as the bullet missed.
"What!? It missed!?" one cried
"She deflected it," came the voice of Jaune, as he stood behind the two pirates, his eyes obscured by shadow. Finally seeing him they saw what their friend wore in this Universe. He wore a white shirt white-sleeved shirt, with a black bandana tied to his left arm, a pair of dark blue pants, and a pair of brown boots. Strapped to his side were three swords, one sword was in a white scabbard and two in black scabbards "She changed the bullet's trajectory with just the tip of her blade," Jaune said.
"Impossible!" Weiss cried out in shock.
Pyrrha was in shock, with just the tip of her blade, the woman changed the path of the bullet, no semblance or aura to force it so, just pure skill.
"I've never seen such graceful movement," Jaune said.
"A sword without grace is no strong sword," Raven said.
Jaune looked at Raven, "Did you cut this ship with that sword as well?" he asked.
"Indeed," Raven replied.
Jaune then nervously smiled at Raven, "No wonder... you really are the strongest," He said. He then undid the bandana on his arm, "I set sail to meet you," Jaune told her.
Raven turned to him, "What do you aim for?" she asked Jaune.
Jaune put the bandana over his head, covering his air, and then tied it tightly around his head as he smiled at Raven, "To be the strongest!" Jaune declared. "You said your free, right? Let's have a duel,"
"Whaaaaaaaaaaat!?" cried the entire audience.
"What is that idiot thinking!? Did he not see what she could do with her sword!?" Weiss cried.
Ruby held her head as if it would explode, "She literally cut a ship in half!" Ruby cried.
Pyrrha looked worried, as did both Reese and Velvet, all three of them wondering why he would challenge Raven.
"Does he have a death wish or something!?" Emerald asked.
One of the pirates stood up as they looked at Jaune, "It's him! Jaune Arc! of the three sword style!" they cried.
Don Krieg looked at Jaune with shock, "The pirate hunter!?" he asked
Mercury, who wore a full tux and smoked a cigarette, looked at Jaune with a shocked look, "Him...!?" Mercury cried.
Neptune, who wore a pair of overalls over just his bare chest, a pair of shoes, and his goggles atop his head, looked at Ruby. Ruby wore a red vest over a white long-sleeved shirt, and attached to her vest was her red hood, she also wore a pair of black pants and wore her boots. She looked over in Jaune's direction.
"Hey! We're gonna lose sight of the ship!" Neptune told Ruby as he pointed behind him.
Ruby didn't answer, just stared in Jaune's direction.
Raven looked at Jaune, "Pitiful weakling," She said as she hopped onto the deck of the broken ship. She looked at Jaune once she landed and crossed her arms, "If your a competent swordsman by any means, then I can demonstrate the clear difference ins strength between you and I, without the need to cross blades, but still you challenge me? Does your bravery come from your conviction? Or Ignorance?" Raven asked.
Jaune unsheathed his sword and placed Crocea Mors's in his mouth while he wielded the other two blades in his hands. "It come from my ambition, and a promise to a friend," Jaune told her.
Pyrrha was a bit confused by how Jaune used this 3 sword style and wondered if the blade in his mouth would actually cut anything.
Ruby, Neptune, and two other men with them watched the scene play out before them.
Jaune looked at Raven, "To be honest, I never thought I meet you this early," he told her.
"A waste if you ask me," Raven replied.
Jaune glared at her, "What're you playing at?" Jaune asked.
Raven then grabbed a cross necklace she had and tore it off, and then revealed it to be a concealed dagger the size of a pocket knife. "I'm different than those brutes who go all out just to hunt a mere rabbit," Raven told him, "Though you may be a swordsman of some renown, I, unfortunately, don't have any blade smaller than this,"
Jaune growled in anger, "There's a limit to how much you can underestimate me!" Jaune said as he charged at her, "You better not regret it when you die!"
"A frog in well... you don't realize just how big this world really is!" Raven said.
"ONI-!" Jaune cried as he prepared to swing at Raven, "GIRI!"
However, Raven merely held out the knife and stopped Jaune's attack in its tracks.
Many were in shock by what Raven had just done, as it shouldn't have been possible for a blade that small.
"N-No way..." Blake muttered.
"She... SHE FUCKING STOPPED IT!?" Arslan cried
"Just... what is she?" Yang asked as she saw this version of her mother. 'Uncle Qrow told me she was a legend, but this... this is more than just a freaking legend!'
"Jaune?" Ruby called out in surprise.
'I... I can't move! There hasn't been a single man who could stop that attack until now!' Jaune thought, 'How can she stop me with just that toy!?'
Raven looked at him with an unfazed expression.
Jaune roared in anger as he unleashed a fury of swings at Raven, but she simply deflected his attack with ease with her knife.
'The world can't be this far away!' Jaune cried
He continued to swing at Raven but she still managed to block and deflect his attack, and she then decided to strike back, and it sent Jaune back and sliding across the broken platform.
'There shouldn't be such a vast difference between us! There's no way!' Jaune yelled to himself as he roared in anger once more.
Jaune charged back at Raven as Raven continued toying with him.
"Such ferocity," Raven said.
'I didn't rain so hard until today to fight against a stupid toy!' Jaune cried, and in his mind, an image of a child Pyrrha, with tears in her eyes flashed in his head. 'I TRAINED TO WIN!'
"You're lucky you're a boy, Jaune, I wanted to be the best too!" came the young Pyrrha's voice.
"Someday, one of us will be the world's greatest swordsman! Let's compete to which of us will be that person!" came a young Jaune's voice, "That's a promise!"
And in the memory, both he and Pyrrha shook hands, making a pack.
'I came to beat this woman!' Jaune cried as he still fought Raven.
Another memory flashed in his head, and a young Jaune held Crocea Mors in his hands as tears fell down his face, "I'll become even stronger for her sake! I'll become the world's strongest swordsman whose name is famous enough to reach the heavens!" Jaune cried.
Pyrrha looked at RR, "What happened to me that caused me not to compete with Jaune?" She asked.
"You died," RR told you.
Team NPR and RWBY were shocked to hear such a thing, to hear that their friend had died as a kid, even in a different universe.
Pyrrha's expression became gloomy. "How?" she asked.
"You fell down some stairs and broke your neck while looking for a sharpening block," RR said.
Pyrrha looked back to the screen sadly, 'So that promise... he made that to me...' She thought to herself.
As the fight continued, Raven looked at Jaune, "What burden's you so?" She asked him, "What do you still desire at the extent of your strength... weakling?" Raven asked him again.
The two men with Ruby tried to jump in and fight but Ruby stopped them. "Johnny! Yosaku! Don't interfere!" Ruby said, pulling them back and pushing their heads down, "Stay put right here!" she told them.
Neptune looked at Ruby with a surprised look, "Ruby..." he said.
"Why did I stop them!?" Ruby asked
RR looked at her, "Because it's Jaune's dream to fulfill," RR told her.
Jaune jumped back and then stood tall and put his two black swords behind Crocea Mors as it was still in his mouth, "TORA...!" Jaune began.
A memory of Ruby then flashed inside the blonde's mind, as he looked at him with her large smile. "World's greatest swords men huh? If you're gonna be the Queen of the Pirates shipmate, you should be able to accomplish that much! Otherwise, it be embarrassing for me!" Ruby told him.
"GARI!" Jaune cried as he charged forth. 'The World's greatest...!' Jaune cried.
However, his attack didn't hit as Raven stabbed him in the chest. Johnny and Yosuke cried out for him and Ruby clenched her teeth as she watched what happened to her first mate.
The same could be said for the Audience as they saw the young man stabbed in the chest. Yang's eyes went red and she was almost about to punch the screen but was stopped by RR. Even Mercury and Emerald we shocked and felt terrible for the blonde on screen.
"I know he was outmatched but... damn I thought he was gonna pull something out of his ass..." Mercury said.
Emerald nodded, "Yeah... almost like those Mistrlian Anime," She said.
Back on screen, blood seeped out of Jaune's mouth and blood fell from his wound and stained his shirt, but he didn't back away, much to Raven's confusion. Even as blood fell to the floor, he didn't back away.
Raven looked at him with peered eyes. "Do you want me to kill you?" Raven asked, "Why do you not step back?"
"Beats me... Not really sure myself, but I get this feeling... that if I were to take even one step back, I'd lose something important to me, a promise I made would be broken forever..." Jaune told her, "And then I'd never return back to where I'm standing,"
"A promise isn't something to die over," Weiss said.
Pyrrha looked at Weiss, "You forget, Weiss," Pyrrha began, "An Arc never goes back on his word,"
Raven nodded, "Yes, such is defeat," Raven told him.
"Hehe... then that's why I can't step back," Jaune replied.
"Even if it means your death?" Raven asked.
"I'd much rather die!" Jaune proclaimed.
Raven was surprised, 'What conviction he possesses,' Raven thought, 'He'd rather choose death than defeat!'
Raven then pulled out the knife from Jaune's chest and looked at him, "Kid, tell me your name," Raven told him.
Jaune then took a fighting stance as he looked at Raven, "Jaune Arc," he told Raven.
Raven grabbed her sword, "I shall remember it, for your strength is not often seen in this world," She told him, as she held her sword in front of her, "And to pay my respect to you as a fellow swordsman, I shall end this duel with my black sword, the worlds strongest sword!" Raven proclaimed.
'This is it! The final blow... if I miss here, I'll die... become the greatest swordsman or die here and now!' Jaune said to himself.
"DIE!" Raven cried.
Jaune's blades began spinning in a circle, "SANTOUTYUU OUGI...!" Jaune cried
For once, Raven looked surprised at Jaune's attack.
"SANZEN SEKAI!" Jaune cried
Jaune then charged forward as did Raven and both now had their backs facing each other. However, a cut appeared on Jaune's chest but it didn't wound him as much as it did the stab wound, and his black swords were shattered but Crocea Mors was still intact, and Jaune removed it from his mouth and sheathed it.
Ren looked down, "Even after that, he didn't even land a single hit..." Ren said, "She really must be the world's greatest swordswoman,"
"Indeed," Arslan agreed.
'I lost... I'm no match for her...' Jaune thought, 'I never imagined losing... So this is the strength of the world's strongest...!'
Jaune then quickly turned around as did Raven, but Jaune left himself wide open on purpose, shocking Raven.
"What?" She asked.
Jaune smiled at her, "A wound on one's back is the shame of a swordsman," Jaune told her.
Raven smiled, "Spendid," She said.
With one mighty swing, she slashed Jaune across the chest deeply and blood flowed out.
"JAUNE!" Both Ruby cried.
Reese, Pyrrha, and Velvet looked in horror as they saw the blood leave Jaune's body. Blake's eyes widened as she gripped the armrest. Nora gasped as she felt terrible as she saw her leader be wounded. Ren and Yang looked in anger as they saw Jaune fall.
Sun was shocked, but he also couldn't help but feel angry at Raven, sure he and Jaune didn't hang out as much as they did, but he still considered Jaune a friend and a pretty cool dude, and seeing someone he knew to get cut down really pissed him off, and Neptune just felt shocked that it all happened.
As for Emerald and Mercury, they were stunned by seeing the boy go down so fast but felt no concern for him since they didn't know him, so it wasn't like they cared.
Jaune began to fall backward as he let go of Crocea Mors, and he fell into the ocean.
Raven watched as he fell backward, 'Don't rush to death so fast, young one,' Raven thought.
"JAUNE!" Neptune cried.
"BRO!" Johnny and Yosaku cried out as they jumped overboard to get Jaune.
"This is the power of the grand line! This is the power of the world!" cried a pirate.
"Not even Pirate Hunter Jaune could come close!" Cried another.
A memory of Jaune flashed in Mercury's head before the fight had begun.
"Ever since I decided to become the world's greatest swordsman, I threw away my attachment to life," Jaune told him as he looked at the cook.
"Why... Why would he throw his life away for some stupid dream? Weiss asked.
"I'm with the Princess," Emerald said
"Heiress!"
"Whatever," Emerald said, "Dying for a dream or a promise is stupid," Emerald said.
RR then appeared, "Then I suppose all of you are stupid as well?" he asked.
They all turned to the god with a confused looks.
"What do you mean?" Emerald asked.
"You all wanted to be Huntsmen, and you all have a dream you want to come true, but have you ever considered the fact that you might die before you accomplish your goals due to the path you've chosen?" RR asked them, "In order to fight for the dream you want, you also have to be willing or prepared to die trying to get make that dream real, or else... you weren't really committed,"
All of them let the gods word's sit with them. They had never thought of it like that, they all had goals and dream they wanted to come true or accomplish, and yet... were they willing to die for it?
'That damn bastard out of his mind! His enemy was the world's strongest! The result was obvious! If it means your death then throw your ambition away!' Mercury thought, he then looks Jaune's direction. "It's simple! Throw away that Ambition!"
"DAMN YOU!" Ruby cried with anger.
Her arm stretched back and she launched her hand toward Raven but didn't hit her, instead grabbed the board behind Raven, and then she shot toward her but missed and got her head stuck in the ship.
"HAHAHAHA!" Sun cried
"Nice going sis," Yang said trying not to laugh.
Ruby looked at the two blondes with anger, "I'd like to see you try something!" Ruby said.
"You gotta admit that those rubber limbs are pretty funny," Sun said, "And with your head stuck you look like one of those old cartoon characters!"
Ruby managed to unstick her head and she fell onto her back in the remaining deck.
"Fear not, your friend will live," Raven said.
With the help of Johnny and Yosaku, Jaune was pulled out of the water and he coughed out blood, and they got him out of the water and into a small ship where Neptune brought them some medicine.
"Jaune!" Ruby cried.
Raven looked at the boat with a cold gaze, "I am Raven Branwen, and it is much too early for you to die, know yourself! Know the world! And become strong, Jaune," Raven said, "No matter how many months or years pass by I shall stand here at the top of the world and wait for you! So forge ahead with that fierce conviction, and try to surpass my sword! SURPASS ME, JAUNE!" Raven yelled.
"Bro! Answer me!" cried Johnny.
"To think that Raven would say such a thing..." Zeff commented.
Raven then turned to Ruby, "Girl, what do you aim for?" Raven asked.
"To be the King," Ruby said.
Raven smiled, "A tough path indeed, even tougher than surpassing me," Raven told her.
Ruby stuck her tongue out at Raven, "Whatever! I'm going to do it anyway!" Ruby told her, she then turned to the boat, "Neptune! Is Jaune alright!?" she asked.
Neptune shook his head, "Like hell, he'd be alright! But he'll live!" Neptune cried, applying medicine to Jaune's wound, but Jaune then raised Crocea Mors into the air, much to the shock of Neptune, Johnny, and Yosaku.
"Jaune!" Ruby cried.
Raven looked over at the boat as well.
"R-Ruby... can you hear me?" Jaune croaked out.
"Don't talk you, idiot!" Ruby cried
"Yeah!" Ruby on the screen said.
"S-Sorry for worrying you..." Jaune said.
"Worrying me!? You nearly gave me a heart attack!" Ruby cried
Pyrrha nodded, "Same here,"
"I think most of us can agree," Ren said.
"I know... that if I don't become the world's strongest swordsman, I'll only embarrass you!" He cried as he coughed up blood.
"Please don't talk anymore!" Yosaku cried.
"BRO!" Johnny cried.
"I SWEAR...!" Jaune began as tears fell from his eyes and he looked up to the sky and still held up his sword, "THAT UNTIL THE DAY COMES WHEN I BEAT HER AND TAKE HER TITLE... THAT I'LL NEVER LOSE AGAIN!" Jaune cried.
Hearing those words struck the young reaper and tears began to fall from her face. In fact, those words struck a chord with all of them, to hear such a promise from a guy they knew who lost a lot, made them wonder if he made a promise to himself like that in their world and trying to keep it.
"IS THAT OK WITH YOU...!?" Jaune began, "QUEEN OF THE PIRATES!?" Jaune cried.
Ruby smiled brightly, "Yep!" Ruby said popping the p and chuckling.
Raven smiled at Ruby, "You two make a good team, I'd like to see you again, in the future," Raven said as she turned away and left.
And the screen slowly faded to black.
"Aw, what happened next!?" Ruby asked
RR looked at the young Reaper, "Jaune is ok, and as for you and the others, you beat the other pirates, however, after Krieg, you, Jaune, Mercury, and Neptune went to Emerald's home Island and face a threat that was way more dangerous then Krieg,"
"As bad as Raven?" Yang asked.
"No, Raven is on a much larger scale than the Arlong Pirates," RR replied.
"Oh! Do I ever be Pirate Queen!?" Ruby asked.
RR shrugged, "I don't know, thought you are actually close to your goal, maybe later... I'll show you your fight with one of the Emperors," RR said.
"COOL!" Ruby said with a smile.
RR chuckled, "Now, I think the next one is a bit strange, but it's still amazing," RR told them, however, before he could begin, Nora raised her hand and RR looked at her. "Yes Nora?" he asked.
"Can we actually take a break? I wanna move my legs around a bit,"
RR smiled, "Ah, I forgot, these things always do need an intermission," RR said, "Yeah we can do a break, it will actually help be a bit since the next Universe is quite... large," He said.
And with that, a break began and RR expanded the theater into a lot more rooms in order for the teens to spread their legs and walk, get snacks, or use the bathroom.

Yep, next up is an intermission chapter, where Reese and Jaune's past will be revealed! Some girls will come to a conclusion about Jaune, ask RR some questions, and do other stuff!
