Fallon wakes up with a start, her vision blurry and her head banging, she manages to sit up, but her hands are shackled and her right one is connected to someone else's, "oooh" she sways a little, and Rose reaches out to keep her steady "It's okay Fall...it's fine, we're fine"

Fallon shakes her head as her Vision clears and she sees that the housemaid Flora is also chained up as well as majority of the house staff "oh I doubt that" Fallon replies back. Fallon notices that they are all focused on a figure sitting a distance away from them, Fallon glances closer noticing a young man dressed in tattered brown robes sitting down contained in a small wooden cage.

"Who the hell is that then?" Fallon whispers to Rose, but what Fallon assumes is the lady of the house by her neat clothes, hushes her urgently "Don't make a sound.They said if we scream or shout, then he will slaughter us." Rose frowns a little at the man in the cage "But he's in a cage. He's a prisoner. He's the same as us."

Fallon stares over at the young boy "unless he's not and he's just in the wrong form right now"

Rose looks at Fallon when she says that and the lady of the house says warningly "He's nothing like us. That creature is not mortal." Just on cue the young man opens his eyes up and looks straight at them, they are empty and completely black.

Fallon sits back against the wall as the young man stares back at her, River gifted her a silver dagger why? And all this talk earlier of wolves. She sighs no please no she can not.. she is not shackled in a room with a werewolf who by the looks of it isn't shackled. As all this goes through her head she notices Rose get up and starts to move closer to the crate as far as the chain will let her, Fallon rolls her eyes of course another brave companion of the doctor, he sure knows how to pick them.

"Don't, child." The Lady of the house warns but Rose ignores her as she steps forward. "Who are you?" The steward harshly turns to Rose "Don't enrage him." Fallon rolls her eyes "I think he's already half way there" she snaps back at the steward who shuts his mouth.

"Where are you from? You're not from Earth. What planet are you from?" Rose continues her questioning.

"Oh, intelligence." The boy commented in a sing song voice. Fallon grimaces a little, he's playing great. "Where were you born?" Rose asks him firmly. "This body? Ten miles away. A weakling, heartsick boy, stolen away at night by the brethren for my cultivation." He replies with no hint of inflection in his voice. "I carved out his soul and sat in his heart."

Rose steps back a little bit in fear and she swallows before murmuring "All right, so the body's human." Before she asks slowly "But what about you, the thing inside?"

"So far from home." The boy Replies back softly. "If you want to get back home, we can help." Rose tries and Fallon shakes her head "I don't think that's what he wants Rosie, I mean look he isn't shackled, this whole thing since we arrived screams Trap"

"Ooh well well, another intelligent soul, you're right" the werewolf coos, Fallon doesn't answer back "Why would I leave this place? A world of industry, of workforce and warfare. I could turn it to such purpose."

Rose looks confused "How would you do that?" Fallon snaps her eyes towards her "Think Rosie ... really think, look where we are, and who is in this building" Rose gasps as she clicks on "You mean Queen Victoria?"

The only wolves eyes flicker from Rose and Fallon "I would migrate to the Holy Monarch." He smirks coldly "With one bite, I would pass into her blood, and then it begins. The Empire of the Wolf. Many question..." He suddenly lunges at the crate and they all jump in fright.

Fallon glances down at the shackles and pulls at them they need to get out of here and fast.

"Look. Inside your eyes. You've seen it too." Fallon eyes snap up when she hears him speak again, to Rose, her brow furrows wondering what he means by that. "Seen what?" Rose asks looking fearful.

"The Wolf. There is something of the Wolf about you." Fallon looks confused but she notices that Rose seems to understand, she has a feeling that she herself will understand no doubt in her future.

"I don't know what you mean." Rose told him and he smiles showing his blackened teeth.

Fallon frowns and werewolf turns his beady eyes on her "you know about all wolves too" Fallon scoffs "yeah I know how to bring one of the suckers down" The werewolf just laughs "Too late, she burns like the sun, but all I require is the moon." The cellar doors are flung open and light shines in on the crate, the werewolf turns to the moonlight and moaned out "Moonlight" The young man removes his cloak as an unnatural wind starts to blow through the cellar "Crap!" Fallon exclaims as her heart drops, she starts to pull at the shackles, her strength not a 100 percent after taking a knock to her heard earlier.

Rose clicks on what Fallon is trying to do "All of you! Stop looking at it!" She reaches out and grabs Floras hand "Flora, don't look. Listen to me. Grab hold of the chain and pull! Come on! With me! Pull!"

They all start to pull and yank on the chains as hard as they can "I said pull!" The young man starts his transformation, the sound of bones cracking and shifting underneath his pale skin, his spine elongates and arches, as he throws his head back, claws starting to form as he scratches along the crate, Fallon notices the lady of house not doing much pulling still watching the young man transforming "Oi Cinderella, when we say pull we mean you too get bloody pulling" The lady of the house does as she's told and starts pulling.

"One, two, three, pull!" Rose ordered, just as the wear wolf was looking more vulpine as he examines his body with great interest. Fallon notices the chain is weakening and repeats the order again "One, two, three, pull!" The chain breaks free just as The doctor and Robert kick their way in.

"Where the hell have you been?" Rose demanded, The doctor opts to stare at the occupant of the crate "Oh, that's beautiful." Fallon scoffs at his answer "yeah, yeah, won't be so beautiful when it's biting down on you!" Robert comes forward and ushers them "Come on, go. Get out!" The werewolf breaks out of the crate and Fallon snaps at the doctor "would you move!" Dragging him by the arm, he breaks out his reverie "Out! Out! Out! Out! Out! Out! Out! Out! Out! Out!" Once everyone is out, he stares one more time before he ducks as it throws a piece of the crate at him, he runs out the room and locks the door with the sonic screwdriver.

They follow everyone else into the gun room, where the steward was handing weapons out to the men, the doctor makes fast work of unlocking the chains still connecting them as the steward instructed his men "Arms and you five. Ready" He turns to the lady of the house "Take the girls. Get them out through the kitchen." The lady looks to her husband and shakes her head.

"I can't leave you. What will you do?" She asks him.

"I must defend her Majesty." He grips her shoulders pulling her closer for a moment. "Now, don't think of me, just go." Fallon sighs we really don't have time for any of this.

Fallon turns towards the doctor who was already staring at her "that was a werewolf.. that was like something I would face in my world.." The doctor takes in her pale looking face "could be like what you face, It could be any form of light modulated species triggered by specific wavelengths. Are you hurt?" Fallon shakes her head "I'm fine, that doesn't matter"

The doctor sighs annoyed at her shutting him down "it matters to me but fine Did it say what it wanted?"

"The Queen, the Crown, the throne - you name it." Rose informs him. There's a loud crash of something bursting through a wooden door. The Doctor goes out to investigate and sees the werewolf at the other end of the passageway. He runs back in and grabs Fallon who in turn grabs Rose, pushing them past the steward and his men.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The men join them further into the house and the doctor tries to usher them on "All right, you men. We should retreat upstairs. Come with me."
"I'll not retreat." The man tells them foolishly "The battle's done. There's no creature on God's Earth that could survive such an assault." Fallon rolls her eyes and snaps at the man "don't be stupid, come with us or your going to die, take it from someone who's met god! There is thinks that can survive such an assault! Listen to us and come up the stairs!"
The steward shrugs off Fallons words "I will not listen to a damn woman, I will sleep well tonight with that thing's hide upon my wall." He steps into the corridor then looks back "It must have crawled away to die." When suddenly a hairy clawed paw reaches down and the Steward is hoisted up to the ceiling, Fallon gasps and she rushes forward and tries to pull him back down, sounds of snarling and wet flesh ripping, blood drips down onto her.
The doctors hearts drop when he sees her rushing forward, he reaches out and grabs her back hard "There's nothing we can do!" The other men don't follow they look uncertain at the beast as it devours their friend.
The doctor leads Fallon, Rose and sir Robert to a grand staircase, Fallon flinches as she hears the screams of them as the beast obviously rips into them too. Just as the doctor is checking for an escape route, Sir Robert spots the queen on the landing above them "Your Majesty? Your Majesty!" He calls out as she heads down the stairs meeting him in the middle "Sir Robert? What's happening? I heard such terrible noises."
"Your Majesty, we've got to get out." He exclaimed to her urgently. "But what of Father Angelo? Is he still here?" He glances around "Captain Reynolds disposed of him." The queen states averting her gaze. The doctor reappears "The front door's no good, it's been boarded shut. Pardon me, Your Majesty." he gestures to the side room "You'll have to leg it out of a window." The queen holds her head up and walks past him.
"Excuse my manners, Ma'am, but I shall go first, the better to assist Her Majesty's egress." sir Robert offers stopping her as she gets closer to the window, she nods in agreement to his request "A noble sentiment, my Sir Walter Raleigh." Fallon groans slightly she could do without this whole scene "No offence but could we please get on with it?" The doctor has the same idea as he quickly regains his London accent "Yeah, any chance you could hurry up?"
Sir Robert gives an embarrassed look as he opens the window before quickly shutting it when the monks outside open fire. "I reckon the monkey boys want us to stay inside." Doctor murmurs, Fallon sighs as she thinks great death by wolf or death by rifle? Choices choices
"Do they know who I am??" The queen asks indignantly and Rose turns to her "Yeah, that's why they want you. The wolf's lined you up for a, a biting." Fallon raises an eyebrow at how blunt Rose answers her. The queen glares at Rose "Stop this talk. There can't be an actual wolf."
Sure thing the wolf chooses at that moment to let out a howl, they rush out the room and see that the cellar door is starting to crack at the force of strength from the wolf.
"What do we do?" Rose gasped. "We run." The doctor replies simply. "Is that it?" She turns to Fallon "don't you have any silver bullets, salt? Holy water?" Fallon rolls her eyes a little at her "chill out Van Helsing! I do have something" Fallon pulls out the silver dagger from her boot, and shows it to them, the doctor glances at it particularly at the engravings on the handle "where did you get this?" He asks her curiously. "Spoilers" she replies finally getting to use that word on him, he grumbles a little at the use of the word.
"All I need to do is get close enough to use it" The doctor shakes his head "yeah don't think so, running it is, There we are then, we run. Your Majesty, as a Doctor, I recommend a vigourous jog." He mimes a jog to her "Good for the health. Come on!" He takes her hand and leads her up the staircase.
The were wolf smashes it's way out of below the stairs and follows them "Come on! Come on!" He yells at them as he urging them all past him as he sees the shadow of the wolf and runs after the others, The werewolf is nearly upon them when Reynolds turns and shoots. It retreats. "I'll take this position and hold it. You keep moving, for God's sake! Your Majesty, I went to look for the property and it was taken. The chest was empty."
"I have it." The queen huffs between gasps of breath "It's safe." The captains face momentarily breaks with relief before straightening up "Then remove yourself, Ma'am. Doctor, you stand as Her Majesty's Protector." He pauses turning to Sir Robert "And you, Sir Robert, you're a traitor to the crown."
"Bullets can't stop it!" The doctor tries to stop him.
"They'll buy you time. Now run!" He states as he turns towards where the werewolf was last seen, Fallon bites her lip she can't let anyone else die. So she makes the choice. She watches as the other run towards to door of the room.
She then watches as the captain empties his revolver at the werewolf and just as it pounces at him, she bodyslams him out of the way. "FALLLON!!" She hears the doctor call, she grips the dagger in her arm and manages to stab it through its stomach, just as it's toxic teeth inches towards her, it howls in pain and rips itself away from her scurrying further away. Damn it she was aiming for the heart.
She feels strong arm pulling her up and looks to see the captain looking down at her "you girl saved my life" The doctor appears and drags her inside the room, Sir Robert and The captain quickly make work to barricade the door.
The doctor is so mad at Fallon for that stunt, why does she always have to put herself at risk like that? He shakes his head "Wait a minute. Shush, shush, wait a minute." They hear one more whimpering howl, "It's stopped." Fallon shakes her head "yeah for now" The werewolf sniffs at the door then leaves "It's gone."
"Listen." Rose murmurs as they hear footsteps and growls from outside the walls as it walks around the room, The doctor glances around "Is this the only door?" Sir Robert thinks for a moment "Yes. No!" Before he and the captain quickly barricade the other door.
The noises continue outside the walls, Rose whispers to them "I don't understand. What's stopping it?" The doctor nods "Something inside this room. What is it? Why can't it get in?" He glances over at Fallon as he watches her look down at the splats of blood on her clothes before his attention is brought back to Rose.
Rose turns and looks at him a little bit too excited for Fallons taste "I'll tell you what, though."she says with a shuddering breath. "What?" The doctor asks her. "Werewolf." Rose says grinning at him, he laughs slightly "I know. You all right?" He checks and Rose nods "I'm okay, yeah."
Fallon scoffs at them both "really? Is this time for excitement, people have died! Ones who are known to the people in this room" she gestures to the distraught queen and co.
They have the nerve to look at her guiltily and Fallon turns herself away from them with a look of disgust, a look that makes the doctors hearts near stop he can't ruin the relationship between them this soon right?
"I'm sorry, Ma'am." Sir Robert says and they all turn to look at him "It's all my fault. I should have sent you away. I tried to suggest something was wrong. I thought you might notice. Did you think there was nothing strange about my household staff?" Fallon thinks back to the beginning when she thought something was wrong with the bald men maybe she should of spoke up then?
"Well, they were bald, athletic. Your wife's away, I just thought you were happy." The doctor mumbles before catching Fallons sharp look at him and he stops.
There's an awkward silence when Rose pipes up " I'll tell you what though, Ma'am, I bet you're not amused now." Fallon levels her look at Rose this time "Rose stop it, this isn't a joke, this isn't some fun day out!" She surely should understand how terrifying these situations can be for people, especially if she's been travelling with the doctor. Rose goes to argue back but quickly stops when she sees the look on Fallons face.
"Do you think this is funny?" The queen demanded and Rose shakes her head "No, Ma'am. I'm sorry." She mutters guiltily "What, exactly," she pauses to reclaim her nerves "I pray tell me, someone, please. What exactly is that creature?"
The doctor turns his gaze away from Fallon knowing he has a lot of making up to do and he sighs "You'd call it a werewolf," he begun "but technically it's a more of a lupine wavelength haemovariform." He looks back at Fallon but her eyes still won't meet his.
"And should I trust you, sir?" The queen exclaims "You who change your voice so easily?" The doctor looks up in surprise realising he let his accent slip before she continued "What happened to your accent?" The doctor tugs on his ear nervously "Oh right, sorry, that's..." trying to make the situation right somehow but the queen interrupts harshly "I'll not have it. No, sir. Not you, not that thing, none of it. This is not my world."
The queen turns and settles herself into a chair proceeding to ignore them all, she silently fumed at the ghastly behaviour from them towards her, he hands tremble with fear and she clenches her hands together to hide this, not wanting to show them any kind of weakness.
The library was silent, the queen sitting on the chair , the captain standing guard next to her and Sir Robert leaning on the table with a worried look on his face.
The doctor walks over to Fallon, she still doesn't look at him "Lovely... please look at me, I can't stand it when your mad at me" This time Fallon looks at him "I can't do this... not right now." The doctor nods and looks around the library and over at the carving of mistletoe on the door. "Mistletoe" he runs his fingers down it as Fallon glances at him wondering where he's going with this "Sir Robert, did you father put that there?"
"I don't know. I suppose." Sir Robert responds, slightly at a loss as he looks over at the carvings he's rarely paid any attention too. "On the other door, too. No, a carving wouldn't be enough. I wonder." He leans in and licks the woodwork as Fallon audibly makes a sound of disgust at him as he does it "Viscum album, the oil of the mistletoe. It's been worked into the wood like a varnish." He jumps back down "How clever was your dad? I love him. Powerful stuff, mistletoe. Bursting with lectins and viscotoxins."
"And what you just had to lick it?" Fallon asks him, he looks over at her when Rose adds in "And the wolf's allergic to it?"
"Well, it thinks it is." The doctor replies, Fallon starts to click on a little, "The monks..." the doctor snaps his fingers at her "Exactly, The monkey monk monks need a way of controlling the wolf, maybe they trained it to react against certain things."
Fallon glanced around "why the library though?" When Sir Robert butts in "Nevertheless, that creature won't give up, Doctor, and we still don't possess an actual weapon." He protested.
"Oh, your father got all the brains, didn't he?" The doctor says to him irritated. Rose gives him a fake smile "Being rude again."
"Good. I meant that one." The doctor replies staring at Sir Robert "You want weapons?" Before he looks at Fallon "Lovely... that's why We're in a library. Books! Best weapons in the world. This room's the greatest arsenal we could have." His words make her think back to the future him when asked about weapons and he told her she had a weapon...knowledge.. she watches him as he slides his glasses on and throws some books at her and Rose "Arm yourselves"
The library was filled with the notices of pages turning, Fallon watches how fast the doctor skims through the books, another TimeLord perk she presumes. "Biology...zoology..." Rose mutters to herself "There might be something on wolves in here"
"Hold on" he tosses a book down to Fallon and then another to Rose and another to Sir Robert "A book on mistletoe" the doctor says scanning the book "A book on magic." Rose mutters back holding the book as she flicks through it when Robert adds "Some form of explosive."
Fallon shuts the books shes holding "you know it's funny, all this knowledge and books and he couldn't get the prisms on that telescope right". The doctor nods distracted "Hmm, that's the sort of thing." He mumbles as he reads something. "Wolf's bane, what about that?" Rose asks rhetorically.
"Look what your old dad found." Gesturing to the page "Something fell to Earth." Fallon glances down at the page of the book and what appears to be illustration of a falling star heading to earth. "A spaceship?" Rose asks.
"A shooting star." Sir Robert corrects her before he starts to read "In the Year of our Lord 1540, under the reign of King James the Fifth, an almighty fire did burn in the pit." He frowns "That's the Glen of Saint Catherine just by the monastery."
"But" Rose frowns "that's over three hundred years ago. What's it been waiting for?" Fallon shrugs "something survived" and the doctor nods "Maybe just a single cell survived. The doctor suggests in a Low voice "Adapting slowly down the generations, it survived through the humans, host after host after host."
"But why does it want the throne?" Sir Robert asks confused why would a beast need or want a throne.
"That's what it wants. It said so." Rose tells them and Fallon nods "The, the Empire of the Wolf." They both say at the same time.
"Imagine it. The Victorian Age accelerated. Starships and missiles fueled by coal and driven by steam, leaving history devastated in its wake." The three travellers frown, and Fallon remembers reading about timelines in the Tardis library and the consequences of disrupting them could occur.
"Sir Robert, Captain Reynolds." The queen calls from her seat. "If I am to die here."
"Don't say that, Your Majesty." Sir Robert insisted but the queen continues "I would destroy myself rather than let that creature infect me. But that's no matter." We will see, knowing fine well that people can change their minds "I ask only that you find some place of safekeeping for something far older and more precious than myself." The queen fumbles in her purse for a moment. "Do you think that is wise your majesty" Captain Reynolds queries but she ignores his worries.
"Hardly the time to worry about your valuables." The doctor points out and Fallon can't help but agree with him. "Thank you for your opinion" the queen retorted back "but there is nothing more valuable than this." She brought out her hand and showed them probably the most beautiful diamond, Fallon has ever seen. It was the finest diamond ever, roughly the size of an orange and looked perfectly sculpted.
"Is that the Koh-I-Noor?" Rose breathed in awe as she stares at it, the doctor moves closer his eyes on the diamond "Oh, yes. The greatest diamond in the world."
"Given to me as the spoils of war." Queen Victoria explains to them as she looks down at it pensively "Perhaps its legend is now coming true. It is said that whoever owns it must surely die."
"Well, that's true of anything if you own it long enough." The doctor points out be gesturing towards the diamond "Can I?"
The queen pulls her hand back and she looks at the doctor untrusting before glancing at Fallon, who offers the queen a slight smile, The queen makes the decision to offer Fallon the chance to hold it, she blinks for a moment but reaches out and takes the diamond in her hand admiring it before looking at the doctor and then back at the queen who nods giving her permission to pass it to him, he takes it in his hands "That is so beautiful."
"How much is that worth?" Rose asks in wonder, as the doctor replies back quietly "They say the wages of the entire planet for a whole week." Rose let's out a low whistle "Good job my mum's not here. She'd be fighting the wolf off with her bare hands for that thing." Doctor chuckles "And she'd win."
"Speaking of the wolf, it's awfully silent" Fallon states as she glances around and Sir Robert nods "I agree , Where is the wolf? I don't trust this silence." He walks over to the door as The doctor turns back to the queen "Why do you travel with it?" He asks her curiously. "My annual pilgrimage. I'm taking it to Helier and Carew, the Royal Jewellers at Hazelhead. The stone needs recutting."
"Oh, but it's perfect." Rose says staring at the diamond and the queens smiles fondly for a moment "My late husband never thought so."
"Now, there's a fact." The doctor agreed before explaining "Prince Albert kept on having the Koh-I-Noor cut down. It used to be forty percent bigger than this. But he was never happy. Kept on cutting and cutting."
"He always said the shine was not quite right." The queen reminisced. "But he died with it still unfinished."
As soon as she says that the doctors eyes go wide "Unfinished." He whispered "Oh, yes." He throws the stone back to Victoria, Fallon gives him a look shocked at his actions as she watches the doctor step back having some sort of breakthrough "There's a lot of unfinished business in this house." The pieces finally falling into place "His father's research, and your husband, Ma'am, he came here and he sought the perfect diamond." He starts to pace "Hold on, hold on." He ruffles his hair as he frantically tries to work it out "All these separate things, they're not separate at all, they're connected." He stops all the rooms eyes are on him "Oh, my head, my head. What if this house, it's a trap for you. Is that right, Ma'am?" Fallon rolls her eyes in thought we gathered that get to the point doctor
"Obviously." The queen answers him stiffly.
"At least, that's what the wolf intended. Fallon you said it earlier" Fallon gives a confused look she did? "But, what if there's a trap inside the trap?" He emphasises the word and Fallon clicks on to what he's saying now, the wrong prisms in the telescope, the queens involvement, the friendship, the whole set up, it all starts to fall into place "preemptive measures"
"Explain yourself, Doctor." The queen demanded "What if his father and your husband weren't just telling each other stories." The doctor suggested speaking quickly "They dared to imagine all this was true, and they planned against it, laying the real trap not for you but for the wolf."
Plaster dust falls from the ceiling, sprinkling down onto them, they look up to the glass domes, their gazes land on the shadowy outline as they hear a growl "That wolf there." The doctor mumbled, Fallon runs and starts moving stuff to get the door opened "Out! Out! Out!" The doctor shouts as they all follow Fallon to the door helping her destroy the barricade from before, they get the door open just as the dome ceiling cracks and the wolf falls through it growling, the werewolf bolts for them and the doctor slams the mistletoe doors shut.
"Got to Get to the observatory!"the doctor yells at them as they sprint up the corridor, Rose let's put a scream as The werewolf catches up with her, Fallon whips round "Rose" but before she can do anything a pan of liquid is thrown over it and the wolf retreats.
The doctor smiles with relief and glances at the lady Isobel "Good shot." Fallon checks Rose over "you okay?" Rose gives a shaky nod. Fallon glances and sees Sir Robert dashing to words the lady Isobel "Isobel!" Before kissing her deeply before pulling away "Now, get back downstairs." Lady Isobel hesitates at first before she nods "Keep yourself safe."
"Now go." He gives her one more kiss and she lifts her skirts "Girls, come with me. Down the back stairs, back to the kitchens. Quickly!" And the rest of girls follow after her.
"Come on!" The doctor pants as he pushes past them, grabbing Fallons hand bringing her with him, before stopping next to the queen, "The observatory's this way." Sir Robert informs them, they continue up the staircase as the wolf snarls and quickly recovers.
As they get to the observatory, the doctor stops to examine the door "No mistletoe in these doors because your father wanted the wolf to get inside I just need time." He mutters urgently "Is there any way of barricading this?" Captain Reynolds leads the queen into the room
"Just do your work and I'll defend it." The doctor ignores him as he continues over the problem in his head "If we could bind them shut with rope or something."
"I said I'd find you time, Sir. Now get inside." Sir Robert repeats firmly and the doctor frowns "Good man." The doctor turns and walks into the Observatory, when she notices that the doctor is distracted she approaches Sir Robert "I can help, you don't need to do this alone"
Robert nods at first, before he grabs Fallon she's taken off guard "please tell my wife I love her" He throws her into the room and slams the door shut a she takes the sword from a display on the wall and stands ready to face the wolf.
She lands harshly into the room and the doctor clocks what she had tried to do, still holding the diamond, the queen has given him, he storms over to Fallon when he sees her going to head back to the door, pulls her to him "I know what you are thinking of doing.. but I'm sorry lovely, he made his choice and it's too late, but we can stop it now before it hurts more" She nods and stops fighting against him.
"Rose" he calls over to her and she nods and runs over and they grab the rungs of the large wheel and they start to raise the telescope, "Lift it. Come on." The doctor commands Rose huffs a little "Is this the right time for stargazing?"
"Yes" he answers keeping a close eye on Fallon when he sees her flinch as they here screams from Sir Robert outside the room. She lets out a shuddering breath not wanting to cry, all the swirling emotions getting to her.
"You said this thing doesn't work." Rose points out to him and he nods back "It doesn't work as a telescope because that's not what it is. It's a light chamber. It magnifies the light rays like a weapon. We've just got to power it up."
"It won't work. There's no electricity." Rose cries out in fear. Fallon gives her a look 'as if to say really, you know this' when Rose gasps "Moonlight." Rose glances up at the sky "But the wolf needs moonlight. It's made by moonlight."
"You're seventy percent water but you can still drown. Come on! Come on!" Fallon shakes her head "can we debate this later!" They give the wheel one last heave and it finally shifts into the right place, the moon shines down into the telescope lens and bounces between the prisms, magnifying as it goes. The werewolf breaks in and goes for Queen Victoria. Thankfully the doctor is quick on his feet and he slides the diamond over to where the light hits the floor. It refracts upwards, catching the werewolf in its beam and lifting it up off the floor. The wolf turns back into a young man, hanging as if crucified in mid air. "Make it brighter. Let me go." The young man begged and the doctor adjusts the magnification on the eyepiece. The man turns back into a wolf shape, howls and vanishes.
Queen Victoria looks a little distracted by looking at something on her wrist making the doctor concerned. "Your Majesty? Did it bite you?" The queen shakes her head "No, it's, it's a cut, that's all." The doctor unconvinced steps forwards and says warily "If that thing bit you?" The Queen looks at him and answers calmly "It was a splinter of wood when the door came apart. It's nothing."
"Let me see." He reaches out for her wrist but she quickly hid it "It is nothing." She said making it final.
Fallon can't help but wonder has she been bitten? She brought out her thoughts when Lady Isobel comes running into the room scanning the room anxiously not seeing the one face she wants to see, Fallon frowns.
"We will rest for the night and then we will knight and dame out three heroes" The queen states before walking out the room, Captain Reynolds gives a nod towards Fallon before he follows after the queen.
The doctor and Rose share excited looks, while Fallon decides to approach Lady Isobel "I'm really sorry..." she trails off at first before continuing "Your Husband was very brave and he wanted me to tell you that he loved you" Lady Isobel bursts out in tears grateful for the words clutching at Fallon in sorrow, Fallon wraps an arm around the woman in comfort. The doctor watches on sadly.
~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~~*~*~
The sun rose on the Torchwood house, calmness washing over her plus her head feeling a lot better after allowing the doctor to give it a once over, Fallon finds herself kneeling next to The doctor and Rose before Queen Victoria, who is armed with a sword.
"By the power invested in me by the Church and the State, I dub thee Sir Doctor of Tardis." She moves on to Fallon afterwards "By the power invested in me by the Church and the State, I dub thee Dame Fallon also of the Tardis" before finally moving on to Rose "By the power invested in me by the Church and the StateI dub thee Dame Rose of the Powell Estate. You may stand." She decreed.
"Many thanks, Ma'am." The doctor murmurs delighted and Rose adds enthusiastically "Thanks. They're never going to believe this back home."
"Your Majesty" The doctor began "you said last night about receiving no message from the great beyond. I think your husband cut that diamond to save your life. He's protecting you even now, Ma'am, from beyond the grave." The queen smiles "Indeed." Which is she quickly drops adding in "Then you may think on this also. That I am not amused."
The doctor grins feeling accomplished and Fallon rolls her eyes when Rose mutters under her breath "Yes!"
"Not remotely amused." The queen continues sharply "And henceforth I banish you."
The doctor blinks bewildered "I'm sorry?" Rose frowns and looks down "I have rewarded you, Sir Doctor, and now you are exiled from this empire, never to return. I don't know what you are, the three of you, or where you're from, but I know that you consort with stars and magic and think it fun. You two especially" she gives the doctor and rose a pointed look "But your world is steeped in terror and blasphemy and death, and I will not allow it. You will leave these shores and you will reflect, I hope, on how you came to stray so far from all that is good, and how much longer you may survive this terrible life. Now leave my world, and never return."
She turns to look at Fallon "before you leave I will add this you showed bravery and kindness, you saved my Captain and tried to do the same for Sir Robert, you will be welcomed back into my country as long as you aren't with them, I hope you can guide them to better ways" The doctor and Rose glance at Fallon as she just stares at the queen as she walks out the room and Everyone else following after her.
"Whoa!" Dougal stopped the cart and the three of them get off it, "Cheers, Dougal!" The doctor calls before turning to the two of them "No, but the funny thing is, Queen Victoria did actually suffer a mutation of the blood. It's historical record. She was haemophiliac. They used to call it the Royal Disease. But it's always been a mystery because she didn't inherit it. Her mum didn't have it, her dad didn't have it. It came from nowhere."
Fallon thinks on this as Rose asks "What, and you're saying that's a wolf bite?"
"Well maybe haemophilia is just a Victorian euphemism." The doctor mused "For werewolf?" Rose turns and asks him on shock as the doctor shrugs "Could be." Rose can't quite believe his words and shakes her head "Queen Victoria's a werewolf?" He just shrugs again "Could be. And her children had the Royal Disease. Maybe she gave them a quick nip."
"So, the Royal Family are werewolves?" Rose says trying to grasp the theory. "Well, maybe not yet. I mean, a single wolf cell could take a hundred years to mature. Might be ready by, oh, early 21st century?" The doctor theorised.
"Nah, that's just ridiculous! Mind you, Princess Anne."
The doctor giggles "I'll say no more." He noticed Fallon being quiet and reaches out to take her hand but she pulls away and he frowns.
"And if you think about it, they're very private. They plan everything in advance. They could schedule themselves around the moon. We'd never know. And they like hunting!" Rose states laughing as they reach the Tardis and they all enter it "oh and they love blood sports "Oh my God, they're werewolves!" She exclaims as she turns to Fallon, her smile slips off her Face when she notices that Fallon isn't joining in like she usually does, she decides to give the doctor and her some privacy "I'm going to go hit the hay" she disappears leaving the two of them standing in the Console room, he starts to presses some buttons and pulls a lever to make the Tardis dematerialise.
He turns and looks at her "Lovel- Fallon can we talk plea-" she cuts him off "right now I want sleep, we can talk when my mind and emotions aren't going haywire" she turns and rushes down the Corridor, leaving him standing in the console room alone.
The Tardis hums at her disapprovingly but still assists her to find her room, Fallon smiles, she enters her room and shuts the door before slipping out her clothes and under the covers on her bed she knows she can't avoid him forever but tonight she just needs to be alone with some sleep.
A/N
Oooftt this took a while , I found the episode quite hard to work with, Rose and The doctor do kind of grind on me in the episode a little, and Fallon has been around enough death and hurt to know that being insensitive is wrong.
Next chapter will be a mini one of Fallon and the doctor finally talking it out.
