Chapter 51
Meeting Giovanni
Lincoln and the group are relaxing at Pokémon center, while Lincoln's Pokémon were getting healed, as he gets professor oak up to date.
"My, my, that's really amazing, I'm glad the last of your three sisters finally made amends with you," Professor oak said." I'm also impressed that they evolved three of your Pokémon, it shows that they really have realized their mistakes."
"Thanks professor, but they still have to earn back my trust," Lincoln said.
"True, but holding a grudge won't help you," professor oak said." but I'll leave to your adventure, while I get started on the next progress report."
"Ok professor," Lincoln said as he hung up the phone.
while the others were waiting for Lincoln, togepi had one of Lincoln's pokeballs," togepi, don't play with that," Clyde said.
togepi suddenly pressed the center of the pokeball and got sucked in causing it to click.
"Guys what happened?" Lincoln asked.
"togepi had one of your pokeballs, the loveball and got captured," Clyde replied.
"Oh boy," Lincoln said as he grabs the loveball and releases togepi." a real curious one, aren't you?"
togepi giggled as Lincoln pats her head," so what should we do?" he asked.
"Maybe train a little bit, because the next gym leader could be tough," Brock replied.
suddenly a familiar green woman in disguised came to them," excuse me, I saw your battle and it was amazing," the woman said." so, I want to give you this."
she gives Lincoln a card to a casino and leaves," um thanks," Lincoln said.
"That was weird, but why not check it out," misty said.
"I don't see why not, we might win some jackpots," Lincoln said.
"Fair enough," Ronnie Anne said.
after Lincoln's Pokémon were ready to go, the group headed towards the casino as the woman watches," now I'll get my revenge you little brat," she said.
Flashback- Base at the orange islands,
Proton and the green haired woman revealed to be named Midori were looking at the monitor screen showing a shadowy figure," so, let me get this straight, you two decided to sink the very ship I own?" the boss asked sternly.
"W-Well sir it was a last resort," proton replied.
"Not only that, but you also tried to kill the boy Midori," the Boss said." I wanted to test him."
"B-But he's made a fool of me and got my troops arrested," Midori said.
"THAT'S NO EXCUSE!" the Boss yelled." Midori, you'll be assigned to our casino base in celadon city, and Proton will remain here in the orange islands."
"What?!" Midori said." you can't be serious."
"Would you rather be on cleaning duty for a year?" the boss asked.
Flashback ends- back to the present,
'because of him, I'm stuck in this place,' Midori thought." but since he's alive, I can send him to the boss."
"This is it guys, let's go," Lincoln said as he and the others went in the casino.
"Wow, this place looks so cool," Clyde said.
"let's get started," Bobby said.
the group played the slot machines for a while and won some jackpots including togepi, until Ronnie Anne sees the same girl who gave Lincoln the casino card," hey isn't that the woman who gave you the card?" she asked.
"Hey, you're right," Lincoln replied as the others noticed too.
they saw her get rid of her disguise and pressed a button behind a poster opening a passageway," she's from team rocket?" Bobby asked.
"I thought she looked familiar," brock said.
"That must be a hidden rocket hideout," misty said.
"Yeah, let's check it out," Lincoln suggested.
"Are you nuts, why?" Bobby asked.
"Because we might meet the boss and beat him," Lincoln replied.
"Alright then, but I'm still informing the cops while we're in there," Bobby said.
"Way ahead of you," brock said as he's texting jenny.
the group head in the passageway and discovered a lot of rocket grunts," how are we going to beat them?" Bobby asked." we don't have butterfree to put them to sleep.
"I still have oddish," Clyde said.
"And we'll just have to fight them," Lincoln replied.
"Fair enough," Bobby said.
"Then let's do this," Ronnie Anne said as they go and battle the grunts.
as the group fights the grunts, Pikachu felt a spark on his tail," link wait," Pikachu said.
"what's up?" Lincoln asked.
"I felt a spark like I'm being called," Pikachu replied.
"Where?" Lincoln asked.
"That way," Pikachu replied as he points left.
"Guys Pikachu and I will be right back, he senses another Pokémon here," Lincoln said as he and Pikachu head left.
"Pikachu can do that?" Bobby asked.
"Yes, electric type Pokémon can communicate through electricity," brock replied.
"that's something Lisa is gonna love," Clyde said.
as Lincoln and Pikachu head down the hall, they see a door," is this it?" Lincoln asked.
Pikachu's cheeks spark," yup in there," Pikachu replied.
"Lincoln used the casino card to unlock the door, once he opens it, he sees a yellow snake Pokémon with a blue lightning tail, a little white Pokémon with a huge horn, a yellow bug Pokémon, a yellow goat like Pokémon with a hammer tail, an armadillo like Pokémon with an armor like shell, a pink bear looking Pokémon, a cute looking bug type Pokémon, a little bird like Pokémon with a lightning bolt on its head, and an ice looking Pokémon, looking sad.
"Never seen these Pokémon before, what are they?" Lincoln asked as he pulls out dexter.
"Snellow, the electric snake Pokémon, an electric type, Winterhai, the woolly rhino Pokémon, an ice type, Spetot, the larva Pokémon, a bug type, Staticapra, the electric goat Pokémon, an electric type, Armadore, the armadillo Pokémon, a rock type, Ursnow, the polar bear Pokémon, an ice type, Bittybug, the bug Pokémon, a bug type, Birdbolt, the cockateel Pokémon, an electric type, and Chillemmi, the lemming Pokémon, an ice type, no other data available," dexter explained.
"No data?" Lincoln asked." that's new."
"I'll say," Pikachu said." but how'd you all get here?"
"We don't know," Snellow replied.
"We we're minding our own businesses, then suddenly a weird portal opened up and sucked each of us in, next thing we know these rocket guys captured us and kept us here for months," Ursnow explained.
"Are you saying you're from another universe?" Lincoln asked.
"Yeah, because we never heard of team rocket," Snellow replied.
"Same with us and it really ticks me off," Staticapra said as it rams its caged cell.
"don't worry, we'll get you out," Lincoln said as he finds the unlock button freeing the Pokémon.
the Pokémon jump on to Lincoln thanking him and Pikachu," ok, ok, I'm glad you're all safe," Lincoln said.
"But not for long," Midori said.
Lincoln turns around to see Midori standing in the doorway," you again!" Lincoln said.
"that's right, the boss wanted to meet you, but I'm more about getting rid of you," Midori said.
"I like to see you try," Lincoln said.
"Gladly, Seviper come out!" Midori said as she sends out a black snake Pokémon.
"what's this one?" lincoln asked pulling out dexter again.
"Seviper, the fang snake Pokémon, a poison type, constant polishing makes the edge of the blade on its tail extremely sharp, its zangoose's archrival," dexter explained.
"Too bad that I don't have one," Lincoln said.
"Too bad, Seviper poison fang!" Midori said.
Seviper charged at Lincoln with its fangs glowing purple, until the free Pokémon charged at seviper tackling seviper and sending it flying towards Midori knocking them to the wall.
"Thanks guys," Lincoln said.
"We had to return the favor," chillemmi replied as Midori and seviper stand back up.
"we're not done yet," Midori said.
"Alright then, Pikachu thunderbolt you guys too," Lincoln said.
"Pikachu, Snellow, Staticapra, Birdbolt, fired their thunderbolts at Midori and seviper sending them flying towards a broom closet, Lincoln closes and locks it.
"She won't be a bother now, come on let's meet up with the others," lincoln said.
"Can we come too?" Armadore asked.
"Sure, you'll stay with us until we're out of here," Lincoln replied.
Lincoln then meets up with the others, who were busy tying up the grunts," good thing oddish learned sleep powder," Clyde said.
"I'll say," misty said.
"Hey guys," Lincoln called out.
"Hey little bro," Bobby called out." wait are those Pokémon?"
"Yup, believe it or not, they're from a parallel universe, and dexter couldn't find any data on them just only their names and what types they are," Lincoln replied." also team rocket had them captured them months ago."
"Wow, talk about crazy," Ronnie Anne said.
"Yeah, and the boss is straight ahead, we saw him go that way when we first got brought here," Spetot said.
"Then let's confront him," Lincoln said as he and the other's head towards the door.
the group made to the door and surprisingly its unlocked, they step in and meet a business looking man with the rocket symbol on his suit sitting on a couch.
"You are very impressive boy along with your friends," the man said." not only that you survived the ST Anne, but you also even freed my special Pokémon and outsmarted Midori.
"Um thanks, who are you?" Lincoln asked as the other Pokémon growl at him.
"I am Giovanni, the leader of team rocket," Giovonnie replied.
"So, you're the one calling the shots!" Bobby said." why do this?" Bobby asked.
"Family business boy," Giovonni replied.
"What kind of business is that?!" Clyde." stealing and selling Pokémon for profit!"
"Hold on Clyde, I was told that you were interested in me, why?" Lincoln asked.
"Simple, I want you to join team rocket," Giovonni replied shocking everyone.
"WHAT?!" Lincoln yelled, why would I join you?"
"Because I know about your family problems, about how they thought you were bad luck," Giovonni replied standing up making Lincoln angry.
"they've earned your forgiveness, but can you really trust them, who's to say they won't go turn on you again," Giovonni asked.
"Because I trust them," Lincoln replied.
"So you say," Giovonni said walking up to Lincoln." I wish we can talk more but I have a meeting to go to, until then my offer still stands, so long Lincoln loud."
the lights suddenly turned off, then turned back on resulting to see Giovonni had disappeared.
"he's gone!" Clyde said.
"Yeah, and I get the feeling we'll see him again," Ronnie Anne said." right Lincoln."
Lincoln was lost in thought about what Giovonni said about his family,' could he be right, was it too early to forgive them,' lincoln thought.
"Hey little loud don't let him get to you, your family made amends, they reflected on their actions, you can trust them," Bobby said putting his hand on Lincoln's shoulder.
"Yeah, ho-oh gave you that rainbow wing for a reason," Pikachu said landing on Lincoln's shoulder.
"Yeah, your right thanks guys," Lincoln said." now let's get out of here."
as everyone leaves the base, teen jenny and her aunt along with the cops came in and rounded up the grunts except for Midori who escaped. officer Jenny was talking to the casino owner about associating with team rocket. while that was happening Lincoln and the others took the captured Pokémon into the forest.
"Thanks for freeing us, Lincoln," Bittybug said.
"No problem," Lincoln said.
suddenly the same cloaked figure around Lincoln's age from the orange islands appeared and fired a ray gun to open different portals sucking the Pokémon in." hey what gives buddy?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"don't worry, they've been sent back to their universes," the figure said.
"Who are you?" Lincoln asked.
"All in due time Lincoln the figure replied as he opens another portal and leaves, as he leaves Lincoln noticed a rainbow wing around his neck.
"Who was that and can we trust him?" Clyde asked.
"Yes, we can I don't know why but he seems trustworthy," Lincoln replied.
"let's hope so," Bobby said as they left.
At the Pokémon center,
Lincoln recalled professor oak and told him everything that happened leaving him shocked while the others were getting their pokemon checked up.
"This is really remarkable, Pokémon from alternate universes, along with a robe figure, including that the pokedex couldn't get data from them," professor oak said.
"Yeah, but I get feeling we'll see the rocket boss again," Lincoln said.
"Just be careful, he's really clever," professor oak said.
"We will professor," Lincoln said as he hangs up the videophone.
"So, how will the family react to this?" misty asked.
"No idea," Lincoln replied as he starts feeding togepi her baby bottle.' I just wonder who that figure was.'
That's chapter 50, next chapter, is gonna be a tough exam can Lincoln and his friends pass it lets see.
