"Megumi." I say with a shaky voice.

Shoko hurries over to us and gets in front of me. She tries to tell me something but I don't hear her. My eyes are only on him. Is he dead? He can't be dead. My little boy. He wasn't our child, but he may as well have been.

Anger flows through me and I look at Shoko with nothing behind my eyes but hatred. She looks nervous and tries to get me to sit down.

"Watch Niko please." I say.

"Naomi, Megumi is going to be okay, he's just," she tries to say before two more bodies are brought in.

Maki and old man Zenin. They're burned to crisps. I look back at Shoko with tears in my eyes.

"I'm going to end this." I say.

I hand Shoko Niko and he begins to fuss. I look down at him and kiss his forehead. I look back up at her and she shakes her head.

"No Naomi. You can't leave." She says.

Yaga walks in after the bodies are carried in and sees me standing there about to leave.

"What's going on?!" He demands as he walks over to us.

"I'm sorry. But I have to go. I have to end this massacre and get Satoru back." I say staring blankly at the wall.

"You will not. Your son needs you right now." Yaga says sternly.

I look at him and scoff, "don't you see? This will be for him. Look at Megumi." I say gesturing to him lifeless on the cot, "they will be coming for our son. They'll hunt him to the ends of the earth simply for being the last of the Gojo clan. I have to do this if he stands a fighting chance in this world. Please, let me go."

Yaga sighs and takes Niko from Shoko, "heal Megumi and see what you can do for the others, if anything. I'll look after Niko. You have my word I'll give my life to protect him." He says.

I nod, "Thank you. I'll be back, don't you worry. They won't kill me. I am a Gojo after all."

He smirks, "I know. Give em' hell."

"Shoko, are there any armory weapons here for back ups?" I ask her.

"Ijichi brought some just in case. Your spear and shield included. Maki may or may not have been training with them since you got pregnant." She says.

I chuckle, "of course she has."

I head to the car outside and grab them from the back, including a spare uniform. I throw the pants and uniform shirt and jacket on and head back in the tent.

I give them both a quick hug and I kiss my son a few times on the forehead.

"I love you so so much Niko Gojo. Mommy will be back. I've got to go get your daddy." I say as his blue eyes pierce mine.

He gets fussy as I walk away and my heart breaks in two. I know maybe I shouldn't go, but it's the truth. Satoru and I always feared our son would be hunted just like he and I were when we were a kids. I can't let that happen. I have to stop this threat once and for all. Not just for the world as we know it, but for our family. I have to win.

———

The battlefield is a sight to see. A huge rock orb is in the middle of the city surrounded by demolished buildings that look like slashes were cut into them. My breath is taken away by the sheer amount of devastation there is. My grip tightens on my spear as I ready my shield. I wander through the city before I spot a battle outside the city. The ground is scorched and left barren completely.

I look over and see Todo on the ground with no left hand. My anger rips through me once again as my cursed energy goes through the roof. Another casualty. Another reason to rip Geto's face off.

Itadori is being thrown around by none other than Geto himself. And in Geto's hand is the box Satoru was confined in. I walk over angrily and groan in anger.

"Geto!" I yell.

He looks over smugly and smirks, "Naomi Suzuki. How wonderful of you to join us. Where's the little Gojo tot?" He asks.

"It's Naomi Gojo asshole. And he didn't make it." I lie trying to throw his thoughts off of Niko. I get closer and stand next to Itadori.

"What?!" Itadori says devastated.

"A dud. What a shame. Looks like Satoru's spawn isn't as powerful as him after all." He says.

I furrow my brow and grit my teeth, "you're going to die now."

I run at him and jump up with my spear above my head and shield in front of me. I'm about to strike when he dodges my attack and unleashes a cursed spirit. I land on my knees and thrust my spear upward exorcizing the curse instantly.

Itadori runs at Geto about to strike, "Give us back Gojo!"

"In the mid-Edo period, people connected catfish and earthquakes, and they spoke of this connection as a mystery. They believed a giant catfish moving underground was the cause of earthquakes." He says and Itadori falls over.

"Did you think you had fallen? From this angle it just looked like you'd fallen over." He says smugly.

Itadori and I grow impatient.

"The strength of cursed spirit manipulation lies in the great number of moves at my disposal. I wield multiple cursed spirits of semi grade one and higher and may simply release more when the opponents exorcize the cursed spirits and overcome them. Of course I don't have to allow time for that and may simply pile on the attacks." He says sending centipede curses to him. They over take him and I run to him quickly stabbing and hitting them away from him with my shield. The curse is exorcised and I help a bloody Itadori up. We stand side by side ready to strike again.

"Last year during the night parade of 100 demons, if the forces hadn't been divided between Shinjuku and Kyoto, he would have won instead of Okkotsu." Geto, or whoever is inhabiting him explains.

"Shut up! We don't need to hear your lectures!" I say angrily.

"Give him back!" Itadori says.

"Even I'm impressed though. Sukuna's vessel is tough." Geto says.

Just then, Mahito comes out of nowhere and lunges for Geto. He dodges him and smirks.

"I knew that of course." Mahito says looking up at Geto, "after all, I was born of humans."

Geto begins condensing Mahito into a sphere like I've seen a thousand times before. I push Itadori behind me instinctively and let out a breath.

"Shit, he's going to absorb him." I say in disbelief.

When Mahito is condensed, Geto swallows the sphere and smiles.

"Shall we continue? Let us discuss the world to come."
