The Marvels

Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. However, unintended consequences see her shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with two other superheroes to form the Marvels.

6. Chapter 6

Ch 6

After the fight at Aladna, Captain Marvel still wanted to fight the Kree herself but Monica and Ms Marvel tried to work together since they could only work as a team.

"Dar Bahn was going to take my bangle." Kamala said, trying to get through to Carol. "I made a tough call like you did on Tarnax."

"Don't be like me." Carol replied with regret.

Now her fan would have to know the truth. And now she had to fix the mistake she made.

"The Kree were led by artificial intelligence for a millennia. I destroyed it, I started this civil war. I'm the reason they can't breathe. That's why they call me the Annihilator. And Inever wanted you to see that version of me."

"That's not how family works." Monica said, trying to get Carol to see the truth. She didn't have to be a hero. She just had to be herself. They were still family no matter what. "I never expected you to be the mighty Captain Marvel. I just wanted you. My aunt."

"I'm really glad that you're here right now." Carol said with a small smile. Then she turned to Kamala. "And you, too."

"I'm glad to be here." Kamala replied. "I hope that goes without saying. And I am sorry for coming on too strong at the beginning. I did not give you a lot of space to be a real person."

The three of them didn't ask to be here. But now they were. They had to continue on their path and save their planet. They were now the Marvels and they would not fail no matter what.
