DarkFoxKit: Well, here we are, perhaps one of the best episodes of season 1 for Danny Phantom. There's just always so much potential with the mind controlling thing, brother vs brother, hero vs hero, super powered beings vs ordinary yet determined people.
ZAFT: XD I can't agree anymore! It's just so much fun to do. We should try to do it a bit more I think, but that's for another time.
DarkFoxKit: But again, this isn't the end of season 1 for us, we just did Control Freaks earlier than normal because of the storyline. Regardless, we hope you guys enjoy this, and what length Andy would go through for his friends and family

Digital Phantom!
Chapter 65: Confrontation
Hmm…? Where am I? Andy blinked, feeling groggy, but also a sense of unease., like he shouldn't be here.
Andy tried to shake the fogginess out of his head. It was difficult to see, but Andy could tell he wasn't in his room anymore. There was a red fog covering most of the place he was in, wherever that was.
Andy managed to get up to his feet, and looked around, trying to get a good idea on where he was. The red fog was making it difficult to see. Red fog…? Is this like the fog back at the Digital World? … But… why is it red?
Andy called out. "LOPMON!? JAZZ!? IS ANYONE OUT THERE!?"
Andy heard an echo of his voice ringing throughout the fog, but he didn't get an answer back. Okay, seems I'm alone here… nothing to worry about…
The boy didn't like being alone in an unknown place with limited vision. But he wasn't going to get anywhere if he stayed where he was. Taking a deep breath, Andy began to move through the fog, trying to find something, anything. Andy reached out his hands, trying to find something solid to latch onto.
Andy's hand brushed against what felt like another person, but he couldn't see them due to the fog being so thick and red. The person also felt… cold?
Andy pulled back his hand in shock he didn't expect to find a person here since nobody answered back his call. "W-who's there?"
The person didn't answer, but they did give out a small noise of affirmation someone was there, like a small growl or… was it a whine?
Andy frowned, wondering if he was dealing with an animal considering their reaction, he couldn't see them well in the red fog. "Uh… hello there?"
Andy squinted his eyes, trying to get in closer to the figure to get a better look at them. He saw a silhouette of the person, and he recognized it. "Danny…? Is that you?"
Wait, how can it be Danny? He's being mind controlled by Freakshow right now, isn't he? Andy furrowed his eyebrows suspiciously.
The silhouette of what appeared to be Danny began to crawl over to him, making Andy gasp as he backed away from the suddenly crawling. The silhouette seemed to be acting more feral than human. The being got in closer, allowing Andy to see whoever it was better. It definitely looked like Danny Phantom, but something was wrong with him, obviously. His pupils were red, and he was grinning a mischievous grin that had malice in them.
"D-Danny! What… what did Freakshow do to you?" Andy asked in worry.
Danny began to twitch the grin, as if he was forcing it to move down, like he was… trying to frown?
"R-Run…" Danny seemed to rasp out. "Leave… here… Not welcome…"
"I don't understand. Where are we? How do I leave?" Andy asked, knowing this was a bad time to be near Danny who seemed to be fighting to control himself, but he had no idea where he was, and running around blindly would only make the situation worse.
Danny groaned before he waved a hand up. A black and white door suddenly appeared next to Danny. Andy yelped, not expecting a door to suddenly appear. Danny opened up the door.
"Quick… this way…" Danny gestured Andy to follow before he went through the door.
Andy wasn't sure if he should be trusting his half sane brother to go through a mysterious door of unknown origins, but he didn't have any better options at the moment. It was either follow Danny, or be lost in this red fog for who-knows-how-long. Deciding to trust his brother, despite the situation, Andy followed Danny through the door.
Andy found himself standing in his parents' lab, or what could just look like his parents' lab. The ghost portal wasn't active, instead, the black and white door he saw earlier was there. There wasn't any lab equipment, no ghost weapons in the lab either. Instead, there were odd things on the counters, like blue, icy looking flowers that were glowing. There were comic books of stories Danny liked to read. And there were boxes of Lopmon, Agunimon, and Patamon plushies in the corner.
Did I enter some kind of alternate universe where Danny took over the lab…? Andy found himself questioning. Wait, where did he get these plushies? I don't think our world has any Digimon plushies… at least not yet…
"I… we should be safe here…" Danny said, no longer looking or sounding… as insane.
Though Danny still had those red pupils, he seemed to be in more control of himself now.
"What's going on?" Andy asked, wanting some answers. "Where are we? And how are you here? Did you manage to break out of Freakshow's control?"
"No… I didn't really break free." Danny admitted. "This is… my safe space… where I can be more in control. And… I'm… not really Danny, but more of a… mental form of him…"
Andy blinked at the information. "Mental form of Danny? How are you here? Did Danny learn how to project his mind to me at some point?"
"Not… necessarily…" Danny chuckled a little. "You're smart, Andy… what do you think it means? The place you're in… and me being a mental form of Danny."
Andy took a moment to puzzle it out. If the Danny here was a mental projection, and this place resembled the lab at their parents' basement, but had none of the ghostly weapons or equipment, instead it had Danny's stuff on it, and the Ghost Portal was replaced with a door…
"Either I'm dreaming, or I somehow ended up in Danny's mind," Andy finally came to a conclusion.
"It's… more of the latter…" Danny chuckled again. "It's not unheard of for twins to have a mental link, but yours is particularly strong… If you ended up in Danny's mind. Although, it's not the first time you ended up here."
"It's not?" Andy blinked. "But I don't recall ever being in Danny's mind before."
"I'm not surprised… you were a zombie the first time…" Danny grinned, though in a more natural, light hearted way. "I doubted you would've remembered that. I had to guide you through Danny's mind safely until you woke up. It's dangerous to wander around the mind."
"Yeah…" Andy frowned. "I mean… I've seen TV shows about it, and movies, and fanfiction-"
"You've read fanfiction?" Danny raised an eyebrow.
"N-not important!" Andy quickly said. "The point is I understand the dangers of being in someone's mind. I… just didn't think it was actually possible."
"Well, you weren't wrong when you said you were also dreaming," Danny explained. "You're not physically here, only your mind is. I have no idea what would happen if you somehow physically came in here, and I would rather not find out."
"Me neither," Andy shivered. "But… how did I get in here?"
"Your subconsciousness must be calling out to Danny," Danny explained. "The first time this happened, you were separated from Danny as well. But you knew Danny was fine, so you only half formed in Danny's mind last time. But now you're actively worried about him, so you've managed to fully form a mental version of yourself in here."
"Oh… wow… I didn't think it worked like that…" Andy blinked, surprised at learning about this. "Even though he's half ghost, and I'm not… we somehow still have a mental link."
Andy shook his head, as fascinating as this all was, he needed to focus on more important things right now. This was the best opportunity he was going to get to gather information. "What's happening to Danny and Takuya right now? Do you know?"
"It's… hard to know. That fog has muddled Danny's mind. I can't really tell, because if Danny tries to fight it off, I feel pain." Danny replied. "It's a dull ache right now, but if he resists, it gets way, way worse…"
Andy frowned. "If he breaks out of the control, would he remember his time being under Freakshow's control?"
"Well, Memory isn't blocked off during the mind control, so there's a good chance he will," Danny answered.
Hmm… it sounded like he said 'memory' like it was a name. Andy pondered. Either I'm misinterpreting it, or maybe that's how it works in the mind? Each concept and personality are individuals with a name of said concept and personality? Something to think about later.
"It's still possible for Danny to fight off the control, isn't it?" Andy asked. "I saw him catching Sam after Agunimon burned the highwire."
"Yes, but… it's not that simple…" Danny revealed. "Danny… needs an… extra boost… to break the control… and even then, it's for a short time…"
"So there's still a chance then… I'm hoping the same could be said for Agunimon as well," Andy remarked. "Why is Danny acting so… different from how he usually is? I mean mind control usually makes people more like mindless puppets, right? But from what I saw, he's acting anything but mindless."
"It's not pure mind control," Danny sighed. "There is malice in the power that is being used to control Danny and Agunimon. You've probably felt it in that red fog earlier. I don't know what it is exactly, but it seems to take a ghost's core, and a Digimon's Digicore, and starts to twist them, changing their personality, injecting malice and mischief into them even when it wasn't an original part of themselves."
"So you're saying that it wasn't because Danny and Agunimon have their own malice being brought out? It's just the crystal ball injecting malice into them and making them act this way?" Andy asked, trying to make sure that was the case.
"In this case… it could be called that." Danny revealed. "But it's a bit tricky too… The malice part isn't really not part of them, but it's more inhibited by their rational minds. Every person can have malice in them after all, and ghosts and Digimon are no exception. But the malice is more brought out as their normal mindset is suppressed."
"I see…" Andy said.
"Were you worried about something?" Danny asked. "I can sense you had some worry there, and not just because Danny and Takuya were being mind controlled."
Andy blushed a little. "I've always had this worry in the back of my mind, that one day, Danny's ghost nature would take over and turn him against us. I just wanted to make sure the crystal ball wasn't speeding up the process, or making it a reality."
"I understand… you know, Danny doesn't say it, but he's also had that worry for himself in the back of his mind," Danny chuckled. "Even though we had met with ghosts that had shown they weren't evil, it's difficult to not think about it because you two had grown up with your parents' lesson of all ghosts being evil. And… well, Vlad being the only other halfa we know of doesn't help with that."
Andy nodded as he looked at Danny. "Wait… so what are you then? I've been seeing you as Danny, but… you aren't Danny."
"I am Danny, but I'm not the full Danny, at least not the one you're familiar with," Danny chuckled. "I guess you could say I'm… more or less, the guardian of the mind? Or at least one of them. I'm still fairly new though."
"You… you are?" Andy blinked.
"You could say I am… Danny's control for his ghost half." Danny replied. "I guess you could say I'm Phantom, you know, the ghost half of Danny."
Andy stared at Danny- err, rather, Phantom, for a moment before he started to laugh. He couldn't help himself, the irony of the situation just made him bust out laughing. In a way, it turned out Phantom was real after all, the ghost boy he had befriended before he knew about his brother's secret.
"What's so funny?" Danny… err… Phantom asked. "Was it something I said?"
Andy took a moment to calm down from his laughter before answering. "I just… find it ironic that I found out Phantom was real after all. The ghost boy I had befriended… before I found out Danny was Phantom. You're helping me now while Danny can't. It's like… hehe, a phantom friend of the past helping me out."
Phantom blushed a bit at the implications of that. "Hehe… I guess I am…"
"Well, thanks for helping Danny with his ghost powers," Andy said. "The knucklehead could use all the help he can get."
Phantom grinned. "I'm happy to help~" Then his grin faded. "And… I think Danny and Takuya need your help more than ever… especially if you want to save them from Freakshow's control."
Andy frowned as well, being reminded of the grave situation. "Yeah… But don't worry, I have a plan. We're going to save Danny and Takuya, and stop Freakshow from doing whatever it is he's planning to do. We're just waiting for the right time to strike."
Andy balled his hands up into fists as anger flashed through his eyes. "Freakshow will not get away controlling my family."
Phantom smiled. "I know you'll be able to save Danny. He's… been wanting to get back to you, to come home. He misses you, you know."
"I miss him and Takuya too," Andy agreed as he calmed down. "Maybe I'll be the one to treat Danny to that vacation once this is all over."
Phantom laughed. "Oh boy, Danny needs the vacation more than you? He won't let you just watch over him like a hawk you know!"
"Of course not, he has Sam, Tucker, Jazz, Takuya, Lopmon, and Patamon for that~" Andy grinned.
"Patamon too?" Phantom blinked. "Didn't he leave?"
"Patamon… is worried for Danny," Andy revealed. "He's going to be joining us in getting Danny and Takuya back."
Phantom blinked before he smiled a bit. "Heh… I guess his concern for Danny has proven to be stronger than his issues with Danny."
"Let's hope that it'll bring them together again too," Andy said, wanting to be optimistic. He would be lying if he said he wasn't at all worried about this confrontation they were going to have with Danny and Agunimon soon.
"I know Danny will fight hard against the control when he sees you, just… be careful. Ghost powers are strong, and if he was forced to fight you, there's a good chance you could get… really hurt… and I know Danny would never forgive himself if he seriously injured any of you," Phantom warned.
"I know… This is risky, but… I can't just stand by and do nothing while two people closest to me are being controlled and taken away by a madman," Andy said.
"Then… be careful, Andy…" Phantom said. "Especially as you have a Legendary Warrior to deal with as well. Just don't fight recklessly…"
"Have I ever steered you wrong?" Andy smiled. "Don't worry, we'll show you and Takuya that we can take care of ourselves."
"Huh… You've been acting like I am Danny now instead of referring to him as someone else," Phantom noted.
"You are Danny, even if you're only a part of him," Andy explained. "I see no reason to treat you differently."
Phantom smiled. "That means a lot, Andy…"
Andy's body began to fade. "What's happening?"
"You must be waking up," Phantom answered. "It's making your mental form disappear to go back to your mind. If it doesn't, your body will be stuck in a coma."
"Oh… well okay then. I guess that means it's almost time," Andy said in a small voice, feeling worried but also determined.
"I believe in you, Andy, I know you'll save Takuya and Danny," Phantom said, hoping to encourage Andy.
"Oh, one more question. Do you know what Freakshow's ultimate goal is?" Andy asked as his body started to fade away.
"I don't know exactly, or the full extent of his plans, but Freakshow has mentioned something about revenge on an old friend and somehow the Digital World is involved." Phantom replied.
"I see… so Freakshow does know about the Digital World," Andy noted. I wonder who this 'old friend' is?
"Okay, thanks for everything, Danny." Andy smiled as his body was even more faded. "I'll see you on the other side soon."
Phantom smiled at Andy. "See you soon, Andy."
Andy's mental form finally disappeared, going back to his own body. Phantom's smile faded as he saw the red fog was starting to seep through the door. Please hurry, Andy.
Andy woke up to find himself back in his room. He saw Lopmon was sleeping on the bed beside him. It was morning now. Andy knew he just had a talk with Phantom, and he was more than ready to help Danny and Takuya.
"Hmm? Andy?" Lopmon blinked open his eyes. "Something wrong?"
Andy sighed before he looked at Lopmon. "Seems I have a lot to talk about."
"Hmm?" Lopmon sat up and looked up at Andy. "Is it about Danny?"
"Yeah… and we're freeing him and Takuya tonight," Andy said.
Lopmon nodded. "We'll definitely free them tonight."
Andy headed to the lab after having a quiet breakfast. Jazz never left her room, she was busy with the video Tucker sent her. She was determined to get this footage to the police as quickly as possible. Jack and Maddie left the house early to join with the parent rioting to investigate the ghosts, though they weren't having much luck as Freakshow was keeping his ghost minions away from the public eye, and only showed their performer disguises, which seemed to mess with Jack and Maddie's Fenton Finder.
Andy knew if he didn't get Danny and Takuya back by tonight, Maddie and Jack will know they're missing, and that was going to make things more complicated.
Andy looked around the lab, he knew he was going to need a few things. "Lopmon, ready to do some training? We'll be facing ghosts and a Legendary Warrior, we need to be ready."
Lopmon grinned. "Training is always helpful, Andy!"
"Alright, first thing's first then," Andy said as he walked over to the control panel. "I hadn't had to do this in a while. It's time for some dodge training!"
"Wait, what?" Lopmon blinked.
Gaurdromon managed to destroy the target Tucker set up for him in their backyard. "How was that, Tucker?"
"It was a good shot, but we need to be more precise in shooting. The missiles were a bit too far to the right." Tucker replied. "If we're going to face Danny and Agunimon, accuracy is everything to make sure we hit them if it comes to a fight."
Guardromon nodded. "Right. More to the left for my next shot then."
Tucker nodded. "Yeah. And you need to fire faster too, because we may get only one or two shots before they evade us."
"Are you sure this is okay? Wouldn't all the loud noises attract other humans living near us?" Gaurdromon asked.
"No worries, I've got it covered," Tucker smiled.
"You do?" Guardromon asked, intrigued.
"Yup!" Tucker said before some people were walking past them, staring. "This is my new robot! High tech, isn't he?"
The people began walking faster, not sure if they were impressed or terrified this 14 year old made a robot that could fire missiles.
"Uh, Tucker, I don't know if that's the greatest excuse. Don't human laws prevent civilians from making weapons in their own backyard?" Guardromon questioned.
"Normally yes, but not in Amity Park, not since ghosts became a daily threat," Tucker explained.
"... That's a valid conclusion." Guardromon replied.
"Now let's work on your aim again, and your speed," Tucker said as he pushed a button on his PDA.
More targets came up from the ground. Tucker made sure to rig up his backyard in case a ghost tried to invade them, and also to see if he could put his tech skills to practical uses other than just tweaking his PDA and other small devices.
"I will do my best. It seems I am able to hold the Champion form for a longer time now," Guardromon noted proudly.
"And that will come in handy when we have to fight." Tucker grinned. "Let's get back to training then! The sooner we improve, the better!"
Birdramon was flying in the sky outside of town to keep people from panicking at seeing a giant fire bird. Sam was having Birdramon flying through the trees without touching them, working on her agility. Then Birdramon would fly up and aim her Meteor Wing at boulders, trying to make sure she was as accurate as possible while in the air. Sam was riding on Birdramon's back. Both of them needed to get used to this for the battle that was coming.
They were the only ones who could fly, so Birdramon's flight was going to be needed to fight ghosts if they decide to battle in the sky. Sam was also trying to get used to riding on Birdramon while she was fighting in the air, which was different from riding Birdramon on a leisurely flight.
"Okay, let's try that dive again," Sam said.
"Are you sure, Sam? Doing that makes it difficult for you to stay on," Birdramon asked in concern. "What if I don't catch you this time?"
"It's a risk, but we have to be prepared for the fight. Danny can fly, so if worse comes to worst, we will be the ones who have to handle him." Sam replied. "I would rather not fight Danny, but if it comes to that, if we don't practice these maneuvers, he would just knock me off."
"Okay then, try to hang on tight," Birdramon said as she fly up higher to prepare the dive.
Sam looked around for a moment, seeing how high they were. She wasn't quite used to flying like this, so she needed to. "Okay, let's do this."
Birdramon began to dive down, tucking in her wings a bit to go faster. As Birdramon descended, Sam hung on tightly to Birdramon's feathery back. It was weird, sitting on a literal flaming bird, but Birdramon was able to control her flames to not burn Sam, which Sam was thankful for. As they got low, Birdramon opened up her wings, and then came the hard part, using the momentum to weave between the trees before doing the loop to avoid potential fire from an enemy.
Birdramon weaved through the trees, moving quickly with graceful agility. She had scrapped some trees, and some of her feathers during the training, but she was determined to get this right. Finally, once she was through the trees, Birdramon looped up in the sky. Sam hissed as she held on as tight as she could, but she lost her grip and began to fall. Luckily, Birdramon was quick to react and swooped under Sam, catching her.
"Thanks…" Sam said as she regained her grip. "Either I need a harness, or I need to work out and increase my gripping strength."
"You're not used to having to fly under such conditions, and I doubt you're going to learn in under a few hours," Birdramon said. "We'll just have to hope we won't need to do that trick during the battle."
"I hope so too…" Sam muttered. "But at least I'll have some experience, no matter how mediocre it is."
"We'll save them, Sam, don't worry," Birdramon said with confidence, wanting to encourage her partner.
"I hope you're right,' Sam said. "Let's land and take a snack break, we shouldn't push ourselves too hard before the battle."
Birdramon nodded. "Yeah, a snack sounds good. I'm getting kinda hungry anyway."
Birdramon landed in a clearing, letting Sam slide down off of her before she surrounded herself with fractal code, and degenerated back into Biyomon. Sam walked over to a picnic basket she brought with them just before they started the training. She set out a blanket for them to sit on, and brought out some sandwiches for them to eat.
Despite having a beak like normal birds, Biyomon was able to chew on her food like a human. She enjoyed the ham sandwich Sam brought for her. Unlike Sam, Biyomon wasn't a vegetarian, especially since she was a 'bird of prey' kind of Digimon. Though in the Digital World, meat can be grown, so Sam couldn't fault her for that either. Sam herself stuck to a salad sandwich.
"Your agility and accuracy is really spot on, Biyomon," Sam complimented. "But we still gotta work on my riding skills."
"I think you're doing well for a new rider, at least in battle," Biyomon said. "I've never had to worry about someone riding on me in battle before, so it's also something I'm getting used to as well."
"Yeah… I just hope it'll be enough to save Danny… and Takuya," Sam sighed.
Biyomon looked over at Sam. "You really like Danny, don't you?"
Sam blushed a bit. "I… Is it really that obvious?"
"I know you care about Takuya too, but I can't help but notice how you react when you talk about saving Danny. You're sad, but also angry, and you're preparing us for an outright war to get him back," Biyomon remarked. "I can also feel your feelings when I digivolve, it's pretty obvious how you feel about him."
Sam blushed even redder. "I… I can't hide anything from you, can I?"
Biyomon chuckled. "Well, considering how much Tucker and Andy teases you about it, I don't think it's that hard to see."
Sam groaned. "Okay, fine… I may have a bit of a crush on Danny…"
"Good, admitting it is the first step, or so I've heard from Andy," Biyomon said.
"Have you been talking to Andy?" Sam asked.
"Maybe a little bit?" Biyomon sheepishly said.
"Great, he's corrupted you…" Sam grumbled.
"I asked him because I wanted to understand the feelings you were feeling," Biyomon admitted.
Sam groaned. "Andy really knows how to read people…"
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get the chance to tell him sooner or later," Biyomon chuckled.
"Do you think… he might feel the same?" Sam asked.
"Well… you won't know until you tell him," Biyomon said.
"Maybe I'll think about it later, for now, we should focus on saving him… a-and Takuya, of course!" Sam quickly said, trying not to blush.
"Right," Biyomon chuckled.
Turuiemon was moving quickly to avoid the ecto beams and the missiles. The missiles had some kind of green, glowing goop inside. It was harmless to humans, and apparently to Digimon too, it was just a bit sticky. Andy joined in on the dodging course as well. He and Turuiemon were both sweating as they were moving around quickly, using their gauntlet and Fenton Rod to deflect if they had to. It wasn't just about dodging, it was about being able to deflect an attack as well, it was the best Andy was going to get when going up against a powerful ghost and Legendary Warrior.
Andy remembered how he fought with that dark reflection version of himself. It didn't feel like he was fighting against a normal human. His strength felt like it was on par with the likes of Dash or Calvin, despite not seeming to have any muscle on him. Not to mention there was that blast he used on Danny with his hand. That was only a light version of what Danny was likely capable of.
Turuiemon may be able to fight against Agunimon, and Freakshow has his own partner Digimon. We'll likely be facing against Freakshow's other ghostly minions as well, and then there's Danny. Andy frowned as he kept his body moving. Those 4 ghosts, plus Danny and Agunimon, that's about 6 we'll have to worry about. There's me, Turuiemon, Tucker, Kokuwamon, Sam, and Biyomon. So there's about 6 of us as well. But Tucker and Sam wouldn't be able to fight back against ghosts head-to-head. And I can only do so much. If we don't count ourselves, then our Digimon are outnumbered. I'm not liking our odds, but this is the best we can do. Freakshow is probably the most dangerous enemy we've faced so far, taking away two of our best fighters in one fell swoop and turning them against us. Would we really be able to pull this off?
"Andy! Look out!" Turuiemon called.
Andy gasped as he missed a missile, and it exploded into goop on him.
"Andy! Are you okay?!" Turuiemon asked as he ran over to his partner. Turuiemon grimaced as he saw Andy was covered in green goop. "Yuck… That stuff looks like green slime."
"Yeah… it's mostly used for trapping a ghost so they can't go intangible," Andy explained. "But it's good for training since it's harmless to humans and Digimon."
"Are you sure you're okay?" Turuiemon asked.
"I told you it's harmless to humans, Turuiemon," Andy sighed.
"Not that… I mean… you didn't seem to be paying attention, that's why you got caught so easily," Turuiemon pointed out.
Andy sighed again. "I'm not… sure how this is going to play out… What if we fail? We could lose more than just Danny and Takuya…"
"We can't think about the possibility of failure. The more we do, the more likely it is we will fail." Turuiemon replied. "I know it's hard, and I don't like imagining it either, but we have to focus on the task at hand."
"Yeah…" Andy said, though he was still feeling uneasy. "Let's stop for now and get cleaned up. We don't want to be exhausted before tonight."
"Alright," Turuiemon replied before he degenerated back into Lopmon. "Could we also have an early dinner too?"
"We'll be sure to eat before heading to Circus Gothica," Andy said before chuckling a little. "I hear the concession stands are overcharging people, it's outrageous."
Lopmon grimaced. "Overcharged for food? That is a crime if I ever heard of one!"
After a nice long bath, and having a little splashing competition with Lopmon, Andy got into some new clothes as he dried his hair off with a towel. Andy gave Lopmon some food, and a chocolate bar. The chocolate bar was mostly a reward for working hard, and Andy always thought it was kind of funny that a chocolate bunny liked eating chocolate.
"If this is what chocolate tastes like, I don't mind being a chocolate rabbit anymore!" Lopmon happily said as he munched on the chocolate bar.
"At least I don't have to worry about Digimon having the same diet as their real life animal counterparts," Andy muttered.
"Awww, don't be like that, Andy." Lopmon smiled. "It's not like that could happen to me."
"Just be glad you don't have to eat nothing but lettuce for the rest of your life," Andy chuckled. "Literal rabbit food."
"Oh yeah, that'd be boring," Lopmon chuckled.
Andy checked the time on his phone, seeing that it was 6 PM now. He decided this was a good time to check the news for any new development. Andy walked into the living room and turned on the TV.
When Andy turned on the TV, it showed the news reports of protests against Circus Gothica. "In the wake of parental protests, Circus Gothica ringmaster Freakshow had this challenge to his critics." The reporter announced.
Freakshow's image came up on the screen. "I invite you to attend a free performance for all parents, police, and concerned authority figures. See the show, and see for yourselves that we're harmless entertainment."
Harmless entertainment… sure you are, you almost had Sam killed. Andy grumbled.
"In other news, police got a break in the recent rash of mysterious burglaries as security cam footage revealed the ghostly culprits." The news reported continued, now showing the security footage.
Andy knew his brother and Agunimon were under Freakshow's control, but to see them doing this… it nearly broke his mind. He saw Danny Phantom phasing out of a huge vault, and Agunimon was standing by. The other 4 ghosts phased out of the vault quickly, stealing tons of money bags and gold bars.
Danny looked at the security camera and flew up to it, giving a very malicious grin, like he knew he was caught doing bad, and he liked it. He turned to Agunimon and said something to him. The security camera didn't record sound, however, so Andy could only guess what he said to Agunimon.
However, Agunimon was then shown having fire appear around his hands, and he punched the wall, which told Andy more than what he needed to know as the flames began to spread.
"The firefighters are doing everything they can to put out the flames. One of Amity's main banks will be closed down until further notice," The news reporter stated.
It was all the context Andy needed to know what happened. Damn you, Freakshow! What have you turned my brother and cousin into!?
Andy felt his fists shaking a little. Lopmon walked over to Andy, looking at him in concern, though he couldn't blame him for his anger.
"I'm appalled!"
Andy and Lopmon jumped when they saw Jack and Maddie walking in.
"These recent burglaries and arson are caused by the ghost boy and Agunimon!" Jack yelled. "The ghost boy, I figured would show his true self before long. But why would a Digimon be helping such an evil ghost!?"
"I know! And to think Andy spoke so highly of that Digimon too!" Maddie admitted.
Crud… Lopmon thought to himself.
"It's not his fault!" Andy shouted, quickly getting Jack and Maddie's attention.
"Andy? Lopmon? What do you mean it's not his fault?" Jack asked. "You saw the news, didn't you? He's working with the ghost boy and his allies to rob Amity Park dry of all of its values, and have Agunimon burn everything down."
"Something is wrong with him, and the ghost boy too!" Andy quickly said. "They're not themselves, Mom, Dad, this isn't how they usually are!"
Jack frowned. He knew Andy was protective of his friends, and that apparently included Agunimon, but as far as Jack knew, this was probably a trick. But at the same time, Jack couldn't just dismiss what Andy was saying. He had seen Agunimon in action himself, and the Digimon seemed to be a good… err… person, if not a bit rough around the edges. "I understand, Andy, but… You have to consider what he is doing. You can't just dismiss that because he is your friend."
"And the ghost boy, he was just pretending to be good to get on the people's good side, sweetie, you know that. Your father and I have taught you kids about how evil and conniving ghosts truly are," Maddie said softly.
"If you really knew who that ghost boy was, you wouldn't be saying that," Andy defied. "You two don't know him, or Agunimon. If you did, you'd know they aren't themselves, that something is wrong."
Maddie frowned. She wasn't liking Andy's tone of voice towards her. "Did you forget Agunimon attacked you before?"
"That was an accident!" Lopmon replied. "He didn't know it was Andy and there were rumors of a strong player, so it set him on edge."
"Regardless, it's clear that their actions are speaking louder than words," Jack said. "I'm sorry, Andy, but until we know for sure what's going on, we have to say both the ghost boy and Agunimon are dangerous."
"Don't worry, Andy, we'll get to the bottom of this soon," Maddie promised.
"That's not the problem!" Andy suddenly shouted, surprising his parents. "You don't know anything that's going on even when it happens right under your noses!"
"Andy…" Lopmon said, trying to get Andy to calm down.
Jack and Maddie were rather surprised by Andy's outburst as well, he was usually the calm and more rational one between the 3 boys.
Andy looked down, realizing he was shouting at them. It wasn't their fault they didn't know, this was all an outsider's problem in their point of view. "I'm… sorry I yelled… I've been… stressed out."
"It's understandable, Andy." Jack said softly. "If I was in your shoes and I saw someone I called a friend doing stuff like this, I'd feel the same way."
Maddie put a hand on Andy's head reassuringly. "Don't worry, we'll find out what's going on, at least with Agunimon."
Andy sighed, it had been a long time since his mother put a hand on his head, not since he was 7 years old, and he lost Danny in the mall.
"Just… don't attack Agunimon right away if you see him," Andy said, knowing they likely wouldn't listen if he requested the same for Danny.
"We'll see what we can do," Jack said.
"Has Danny and Takuya come back from the Digital World yet?" Maddie asked. "I get the feeling you're getting more antsy the longer they're gone, especially Danny."
"Lopmon and I plan to bring them back tonight," Andy promised.
"Then we'll let you do that." Jack said. "Your mother and I will be going to go to that circus tonight and see if we can pick up anything unusual. I've been thinking that it's odd that these robberies have occurred at the same time Freakshow's circus has been in town."
"You and Lopmon just stay away from trouble while your father and I are gone." Maddie added.
I make no promises. "We'll try our best," Andy said. "You and Dad be careful, if Freakshow has ghosts working for him, he's likely to try something nasty."
"We have everything prepared in case he sends his ghosts to attack us," Maddie promised.
"Let's get going, Mads." Jack said. "We don't want to miss getting the good seats!"
"Alright. Dinner's in the fridge, you and Jazz can microwave it. And make sure to save some for Danny and Takuya when they get back," Maddie instructed.
"Sure, Mom," Andy said.
"It wasn't the food I just ate, was it?" Lopmon asked.
"It's fine, we can alway get some Nasty Burgers later," Andy quickly said, wanting his parents to leave so they could get down to business.
"Oh, Lopmon… What are we going to do with you?" Jack sighed, but there was humor in his voice.
"Nasty Burgers it is, then." Maddie chuckled.
"Digimon, they eat a lot, what can you do?" Andy chuckled sheepishly. "Have fun at the circus you two. Let me know how it goes."
Jack gave Andy a thumbs up. "You get we will, Andyroo!"
Lopmon snickered at Andy's nickname.
"Dad! Stop using that nickname!" Andy huffed.
Jack and Maddie both laughed as they walked out of the house. Now with the adults gone, Andy knew it was time to get down to business.
"We have a lot to do, Lopmon," Andy said. "Are you ready?"
Lopmon nodded." You bet, Andy!" He said with a grin. "Let's go save Danny and Takuya!"
The first thing Andy did was head to Jazz's room. Lopmon hopped onto Andy's head while the boy was running around.
"Jazz, how's the video coming along?" Andy asked.
"I think I've got it done for the most part." Jazz replied as she turned to face Andy. "I saw the news, and… as much as I would like to help, I know my part is here. Are you… going out now?"
"Yeah… if we don't go soon, we'll lose our chance," Andy said. "I doubt someone as conniving as Freakshow would actually put on a show for the cops, parents, and other authority figures. He most likely would just run for it."
"Andy… Lopmon… be careful," Jazz said. "I don't want to lose two of my brothers now… and Lopmon, take care of him."
"You can count on me," Lopmon saluted with one of his ears. "I'll keep him safe."
"Are you planning to leave without me?" A voice spoke up.
Patamon came out from under Jazz's bed.
"Patamon? I thought you left," Lopmon said in surprise. "Aren't you allergic to Danny?"
"Please. I can't let some freaky human control Danny through some freaky crystal ball." Patamon retorted. "Same goes for Takuya."
Lopmon grinned. "Awww, so you do care for Danny after all!"
"Only because if Freakshow is controlling Danny, he's controlling the ghost boy of the prophecy, and that could doom us all," Patamon huffed.
"What's this about a prophecy?" Jazz asked.
"It's a long story," Andy sighed. "We'll tell you later. For now, Patamon, if you are joining us, then follow me. We're going to get ready for battle."
Patamon followed Andy and Lopmon out of Jazz's room to prepare.
Andy walked down the stairs and headed to the lab. Patamon flew after him. There was a tense atmosphere between the 3 of them. They were all determined to save Danny and Takuya from Freakshow's clutches. Andy walked over to a drawer and opened it, taking out a familiar looking hazmat suit. This one looked similar to Danny's, only it was mostly white, and the gloves, boots, and belt were dark blue instead of black.
"This is my own hazmat suit," Andy explained to the Digimon. "Our parents made one for each of us. Danny's suit fused onto him when he… well, became a halfa, and the colors inverted."
"Why do you plan to wear it?" Lopmon asked.
"It's my best protection against ghost attacks," Andy explained as he began to slip the suit on over his clothes.
"That's a smart move." Patamon admitted. "But a hazmat suit isn't all you'll be needing. You'll need some actual weapons too."
"I know," Andy said as he zipped up the hazmat suit on his chest. "I'll be taking my trusty Fenton Rod, and a small ecto gun. But I haven't been trained in using most of these weapons, and I rather travel light. I should warn you though, Freakshow doesn't just have Agunimon as his only Digimon, he has a Devimon partner as well."
"Devimon?" Patamon frowned, his fur ruffling a bit at that name.
"Yeah, from what we can tell, he's pretty strong," Andy answered. "So we'll likely be facing him too."
"Devimon… isn't a name I thought I'd hear though." Patamon admitted. "He's… a devil type Digimon, the opposite of my evolution line. He's everything I am not, just as I am everything he is not."
"Really? So what, are you some kind of angel?" Andy asked.
"Seraphimon's line is," Patamon answered. "He's a Celestial Digimon for a reason."
"Right," Andy sheepishly said.
"Yeah, sorry, we've never seen Seraphimon before, so we didn't know you were an angel," Lopmon chuckled sheepishly.
Patamon gave a sigh. "But… despite that, it's possible I… could become a Devimon if I let myself fall to a dark route. Any Digimon can become corrupted, just as any human can become a criminal."
Andy frowned as he pocketed his Fenton Rod.
Lopmon frowned as well before he spoke up. "Is that what Salamon meant before? When she said you could fall to the darkness if you go through with your plan?"
"Essentially, yes." Patamom admitted. "Which is why I am… hesitant to carry it out." I almost did at one point, but… something stopped me… and I haven't been able to do it since. I'm so pathetic…
Andy looked at Patamon for a moment before he gave a smile. "I think it's about time you and Danny had a talk, once we finally get him out of Freakshow's clutches. Danny misses you, Patamon. And I'm sure you've been missing him too."
"Whatever, how he feels isn't important," Patamon grumbled. "Are you ready now? We should be heading out soon."
"Yes, I'm going to make a couple of phone calls," Andy said as he took out his phone and dialed a number.
Sam turned off the TV in her room. She just saw the news and it left a foul taste in her mouth.
"Things are looking worse than I thought." Biyomon, who was roosting on one of the bed's poles, noted with concern.
"Tell me about it." Sam grumbled. "I really dislike Freakshow now. Before, I thought he was cool and edgy, but now, not anymore. He's nothing more than a kidnapper and a thief."
Sam then sighed. "I guess… I hate to admit it, but… my parents may have had a point… At least about Freakshow anyway. As cool as his circus is, he's not the person I thought he was."
"I like dark and spooky stuff too, in fact, sometimes I wished I could've digivolved into a DemiDevimon or a Tsukaimon," Biyomon admitted. "Maybe I could become a Saberdramon? Ah, I'm getting off track. What I'm trying to say is that someone who dedicates themselves to something so dark and twisted might be… a little messed up in the head, don't you think? We may like dark and spooky stuff, but Freakshow seems to take it to a whole new level. Moderation is good, but too much is just an unhealthy obsession."
Sam nodded. "I think… I have to agree with you, Biyomon. We can't let that rule us like it does Freakshow. We have to keep ourselves controlled with it."
"I guess that's why I'm bright and pink, to show you not all bright and pink stuff are as bad as your parents made you think," Biyomon chuckled.
Sam chuckled as well. "Maybe, I used to like pink until my parents oversaturated it for me. Don't tell anyone I said that."
"My beak is sealed," Biyomon promised.
Sam's phone suddenly began ringing, and it showed Andy's ID caller on it.
"Oh! That's Andy!" Sam said as she activated her phone. "Hello?"
"Sam? Did you see the news?" Andy asked.
"Hold on…" Sam turned on her laptop, she quickly got Tucker on chat.
"Sam! Did you see-"
"Yes, I saw the news," Sam said to Tucker and Andy. "Andy, I have Tucker on the laptop, so I'm putting you on speaker phone."
"Okay, thanks," Andy said.
"Is it time to go and save Danny and Takuya? I don't think Amity Park can take another arson from a Legendary Warrior," Tucker said, looking rather troubled.
"Yes, my parents just left. Jazz is almost done with the video. Lopmon and Patamon are ready to go," Andy said. "Are you sure you're ready for this?"
"To be honest, no. But if we don't do something to save them both, then who will?" Tucker replied. "That means it's up to us."
Sam nodded in agreement. "I don't like having to fight Takuya or Danny, but we have no choice. If we want to save them, then we need to act now."
"I will help Tucker the best I can." Kokuwamon said as he came on screen as well.
Sam then let out a sigh.
"What is it?" Andy asked.
"Nothing, it's just… how ironic that I'm stuck under house arrest while my parents goes to a free Circus Gothica show?" Sam grumbled.
"Only slightly less ironic that they were right about it being evil?" Tucker replied.
"It doesn't matter, we have to go there ourselves. Let's stay out of the tent and head for the train. The last thing we need is for our parents to start lecturing us because they saw us sneaking into the circus," Andy instructed.
"The train? I get what you mean, but wouldn't it be more logical to find Danny and Takuya in the tent?" Biyomon questioned. "Isn't that where Freakshow plans to use the ghosts to perform for the show?"
"It's… just a feeling I have. I doubt Freakshow would actually perform anything to these authority figures, and would likely take the train and leave," Andy answered.
Sam frowned. "That… actually sounds like something he would do." She admitted. "Wow… Our parents have fallen for the act while we are the ones going after Freakshow."
"Well, regardless, we have to get moving to save Danny and Takuya." Tucker said.
"I'll meet you guys there." Andy said before hanging up.
Sam looked over at Biyomon. "Can you help me out the window, Biyomon?"
"Of course," Biyomon said.
Sam opened up the window. She then held onto Biyomon's talons as Biyomon began flapping her wings to lift both herself and Sam out. Biyomon slowly had them descend to the ground.
As soon as Sam was on the ground, Biyomon landed on her right shoulder. Sam began running when she suddenly saw her grandmother looking at her.
"I had a feeling you'd try to get out," Ida Mansion said with a chuckle.
"Grandma, please! I need to go and save a couple of friends of mine!" Sam pleaded with her grandmother. "If I don't do this, then who else will?!"
Ida Manson smiled at her granddaughter. "You know, I had a wild streak when I was your age." She said as she took out a photo album and flipped it open to show her younger self to Sam.
Sam raised an eyebrow. "Why are you showing me this?"
Ida gave Sam a knowing smile. "Who knows? I may be old and babbling, or maybe you should sneak out and save your two friends while I'm lost in my memories. And also, that's quite a pet you've got there."
"Yeah… hehe… a very rare breed from… overseas…" Sam said a little nervously, and Biyomon was trying hard not to talk.
"... Squawk?" Biyomon 'said', hoping she sounded like a real world bird.
Sam decided to give her grandmother a grateful kiss before she ran off. Ida smiled as Sam ran off.
"Oh Sammy… if only you knew what I did back in the old days," Ida chuckled. "I know a Digimon when I see one."
Andy, Lopmon, and Patamon were the first ones to arrive at Circus Gothica, or rather, they were the first of their group. Many people, specifically parents, were lined up at the tent for Circus Gothica already.
Pamela and Jeremy were sitting in the front row seats. Pamela had a clipboard and a pen with her.
"I'm keeping a detailed list of anything I find objectionable, immoral, or obnoxious," Pamela stated.
"You might as well put yourselves on the list…" Jack muttered, who was sitting close by with Maddie.
Pamela frowned, and was very tempted to put down the Fentons on the list, but since they were not really doing anything she deemed objectionable, immoral, or obnoxious, she decided to leave them off the list… for now anyway.
"Let's hope they don't ruin the show," Jeremy grumbled.
Andy decided to head for the train while that was going on. He looked up at the train while Lopmon and Patamon looked up as well.
"There's another reason why you told them to come here and not the tent," Lopmon said. "And I know it wasn't because your parents are there."
Patamon frowned as he looked at them. "You could tell he was hiding something?"
"Well, it was kinda obvious…" Lopmon admitted sheepishly. "I mean, where would Freakshow be having Danny, Agunimon, and the other ghosts take all of that stuff that was stolen?"
Andy sighed. "Remember when I told you about that dream I had? After we came back from the Ghost Zone with Valerie and Salamon? We were on top of a dark looking train, fighting against Danny and Agunimon. This train looked… just like the one from my dream. And both Danny and Agunimon had red pupils like they do now…"
"Oh…" Lopmon trailed off, not liking what he was hearing at all. "So you figured this was that train…"
"What… happened at the end of the dream?" Patamon asked.
Andy looked down.
"Andy… what happened?" Patamon frowned.
"He… fell into a ravine," Lopmon answered softly.
"So… you're saying you'll die?" Patamon questioned in concern.
"It's… possible," Andy said.
Patamon and Lopmon both looked at each other with frowns on their faces before Lopmon looked back at Andy with a grin. "Well, we won't let that happen to you!"
"How can you be so sure? If this is a prophetic dream, how would you stop it?" Patamon asked. "Prophecies can't be stopped so easily…"
"You never know until you try." Lopmon said with a shrug. "Nothing is set in stone with the future, right?"
Patamon frowned, not sure how to answer that, before he looked at Andy. "Despite knowing you could die… you still came out here?"
"I want to save my brother and Takuya," Andy said. "I'd be no better than Freakshow if I just sat back and did nothing. Besides… if I do end up dying, maybe I'll come back as a ghost."
Lopmon shivered. "Was that an attempt at a joke, or were you being serious? Because if it was a joke, that wasn't funny…"
"Half and half," Andy said. "I mean… don't get me wrong, I definitely don't want to die. But if… if I do, I'd like to be able to come back at least, even if it's as a ghost."
Patamon frowned. "Let's just focus on what we plan to do. Thinking about the possibilities will only make it harder for us to succeed."
Suddenly a shadow of a bat appeared on the train, causing Andy, Patamon, and Lopmon to spin around, ready to attack. Patamon already expanded himself to do a Boom Bubble, Lopmon took in a breath, and Andy took out his Fenton Rod.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Hold your fire! It's just us!" Tucker yelled, wearing a hat that had a bat on it.
"I told you that it was a bad idea to go snooping at the gift shop first, Tucker," Kokuwamon sighed.
"Hey, at least it told us where Danny wasn't…" Tucker grumbled.
"Yeah, and you snagged that hat." Sam huffed.
"Wearing it while sneaking around certainly didn't help…" Biyomon muttered.
"Come on, it's a pretty cool hat, isn't it?" Tucker asked.
Andy walked up to Tucker and hit the bat hat with his rod and gave Tucker a very annoyed look.
"Okay, I guess I deserved that…" Tucker grumbled.
"Yes, you did." Sam agreed with a smug grin.
"C'mon, let's check out the train." Lopmon said.
"How will we get in? All the doors are closed," Patamon asked.
"We go on the roof. Some trains have trap doors that can't lock in case of an emergency," Tucker pointed up.
"Come on, there's a ladder here we can climb," Sam said as she went over to a ladder built on the train's car.
Biyomon, Kokuwamon, and Patamon just flew up, while the kids climbed up on top of the roof. Lopmon stayed on Andy's head.
Once at the top of the train, Sam found a hatch on the train's roof. "Hey, we can get in through here!"
Sam ran over and opened the hatch, seeing it led into the car they were on top of. "Let's go, you guys!" She said before jumping into the train car.
Everyone hopped down into the car. Andy and Lopmon immediately recognized where they were.
"Hey… this is where Freakyboy keeps his treasure," Andy noted. "Or maybe he keeps them in more than one car…"
"Considering how many valuables he's been stealing, it's likely the latter. One train car wouldn't be able to hold that much hoard, especially since gold is pretty heavy," Kokuwamon remarked.
"Then that means there's a possibility every train car has some of the loot in it." Tucker noted in agreement. "But if that's the case, we need to be more careful, since we don't know where Freakshow, or his mind-controlled minions, are."
"Or his partner," Lopmon added. "Remember, we saw Devimon in one of the cars, he could still be around."
"Devimon? I'm surprised a Digimon like that could even find a partner." Biyomon frowned.
"Less talking, more looking," Andy said.
As the group began to look around, they saw all sorts of portraits from the art museum, as well as expensive looking items lying around. There were piles and piles of gold coins, wads of dollars, and gem stones.
"It's like we're in a dragon's hoard or something, you don't see this stuff every day…" Tucker muttered. "You sure we can't take a few of these things back with us?"
"Tucker, thievery is frowned upon." Kokuwamon warned. "Just because Freakshow stole it doesn't make it okay to steal it for yourself."
Tucker pouted, but he didn't reach to take any of it. "Apparently you're also my conscience…"
"Let's see if we can find anything of note or of importance here." Sam suggested.
If Andy hadn't been so focused on saving Danny and Takuya, he would've likely been tempted to take some of this stuff as well. He didn't blame Tucker for thinking about it at least. This was a lot of moolah, and it was likely at least a few gold coins wouldn't be missed. But Andy shook his head, he wasn't here for wealth, he was here for his family.
"Hey, I see something red over there," Lopmon spoke up, pointing with his hand and his ear.
The group looked to where Lopmon was pointing, and saw the staff with the crystal ball on it. It was in a pile of gold coins.
"What?" Andy blinked, shocked and confused.
"We found the crystal ball, let's grab it and get out of here," Sam said.
Sam was about to move forward when Andy grabbed her arm and stopped her. "Wait. Don't you think this is too convenient? Every time we saw Freakshow he was holding that staff. Why is it now in a car?"
Sam frowned. "That's… a good point…" She admitted. Now that she thought about it, it did seem too convenient for them to grab. "But if it's here, then does that mean Freakshow is nearby?"
"A strong energy is nearby!" Biyomon suddenly warned.
"I feel it too." Lopmon frowned.
"Look out!" Kokuwamon warned.
A blast of green energy shot out from the shadows. Kokuwamon and Biyomon quickly shielded their partners from the blast, but the force was enough to knock them out of the train. Andy, Lopmon, and Patamon gasped, seeing Danny coming out of the shadows, grinning sinisterly, and his hands glowing with ecto energy. Freakshow walked out from the shadow as well, and he had a DemiDevimon on his shoulder.
"I told ya they would come back~" DemiDevimon grinned.
"You!" Patamon hissed, looking at DemiDevimon. "You're that Devimon Andy and Lopmon saw earlier, weren't you?"
"Oh? So they told you about me? I'm flattered~" DemiDevimon sneered, showing off his many pointy fangs.
"Only you could become a Devimon." Patamon hissed, his fur bristling. Patamon looked a bit larger now due to his fur standing on end.
Is Patamon part cat? Andy blinked, but turned his attention on Freakshow.
"I warned that friend of yours earlier not to cross me, young man," Freakshow said as he looked at Andy. "Little did I know that you three have Digimon of your own. Then again, that girl did have Agunimon with her, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. Still, I'm rather surprised you were able to bring Digimon into this world. How did you do it?"
"Like I'm going to tell you anything," Andy hissed.
Lopmon jumped down from Andy's head and stood in front of him to protect him. Patamon stayed beside Andy, glaring heatedly at DemiDevimon.
Andy felt the train vibrating a little. "What's going on?"
"Didn't you know? I'm moving my circus now~" Freakshow grinned. "There's nothing left in Amity Park that I want anyways."
Andy gasped as he looked out the window and saw they were indeed moving. Oh shoooooot! I'm stuck on a moving train with a madman controlling Danny!
Sam and Tucker were holding their partners after they had shielded them from Danny's ghost ray.
"Are you okay?" Sam asked in concern.
"I'm fine… it burns a little, but I'll be okay," Biyomon answered.
"Everything is working fine," Kokuwamon said. "We should get back-"
The train began moving, leaving them behind.
"... Is the train supposed to be leaving?" Tucker frowned.
"Oh, c'mon!" Sam groaned. "We have to catch that train!"
Sam stood up and began to follow the train, Biyomon still in her grasp. "C'mon, Tucker! Get Kokuwamon and let's move! Andy, Lopmon, and Patamon will need our help!"
"We'll never catch them like this!" Tucker yelled as they began running after the now moving train.
Sam frowned, she knew Tucker was right. They could run and run, but they would never be able to catch the train. But… they may still have a chance. Sam looked down at Biyomon.
"Tucker, we have our Digimon," Sam said. "We can use them to catch up!"
Tucker grinned. "Now that's a plan I can get behind!"
"Biyomon, can you help us?" Sam asked Biyomon.
"Can I count on you, Kokuwamon?" Tucker asked his own partner Digimon.
"Of course!" Biyomon said with determination.
"I'm always ready to help!" Kokuwamon replied.
"Then digivolve!" Both of their partners exclaimed.
Biyomon and Kokuwamon's bodies were surrounded with fractal code.
"Biyomon, digivolve to…"
"Kokuwamon, digivolve to…"
Biyomon felt her skin and feathers being stripped away and then she felt new feathers coming in, bright orange feathers in color. Her beak elongated and changed to a lighter orange color. She felt herself growing in size, becoming large enough to carry Sam. The fractal code dissipated, revealing her in her Champion form."Birdramon!"
Kokuwamon felt his metal plating shifting around, becoming more streamlined and a bronze color. His wings became thicker and attached to his back, becoming boosters. His eyes turned green, and he grew in size, enough for Tucker to ride on him. The fractal code dissipated, revealing his Champion form. "Guardromon!"
Now evolved, both Birdramon and Guardromon let their partners climb onto them before beginning to move faster. Birdramon took flight after the train while Guardromon engaged his boosters, beginning to catch up to the train.
Andy knew Sam and Tucker wouldn't let Freakshow get away with this so easily, they would be here soon, he knew.
"So what do you plan to do with me?" Andy asked. "Obviously I'm not a ghost or a Digimon, I can't be controlled by your crystal ball."
"I was gonna have someone clean up the garbage," Freakshow said. "I'll take these two, however. Once you're out of the way, they won't be partner Digimon anymore, and they'll be affected by my crystal ball~"
"Once you're out of the way, we won't have to worry about being followed by the cops, they'll be too busy looking into a missing child." DemiDevimon grinned.
Andy paled, realizing that Freakshow was going to have Danny throw him out of a moving train.
"Slave, take this boy and dump him out, that's what we do with trash," Freakshow ordered.
"Not so fast! Blazing Ice!" Lopmon fired out an icy wind at Freakshow's face, freezing up his face.
DemiDevimon flew up and Patamon flew up to him as well. "Boom Bubble!"
"Wah!? You little pest!" DemiDevimon shouted as the air bubble shot him down.
Danny was a bit confused on what to do since his master was under distress, but he gave him an order to dump this boy out.
"Hurry, Andy, this way!" Lopmon quickly said, pointing at the hatch above.
Andy didn't waste any time to start climbing up to the hatch. He had to get out quickly.
Lopmon was waiting for Andy at the top. Andy climbed out, but as soon as he was out of the train car, Danny flew up, phasing through the train car easily in front of Andy.
"Going somewhere?" Danny asked in a sinister voice.
Andy, Lopmon, and Patamon backed up a bit. 3 of the other ghosts came up from the train's roof as well. Though one ghost was missing, it was the cloaked tattoo ghost that was gone. But Andy didn't have time to worry about that now. The other 3 were blocking them from running the other direction.
Andy, Lopmon, and Patamon turned to Danny.
This might be our only chance. Andy decided. "Danny, it's me, your brother Andy. And this is your partner Digimon, Patamon. You know us, don't you?"
Danny seemed to be staring at them evilly before he narrowed his red eyes a bit, as if trying to remember something. "W-wha… Andy… Patamon?" Danny asked, as if confused. He seemed to be resisting the crystal ball's effects for a few tense moments, his eyes turning to glowing green. Then, his eyes flashed red again. "I… am a ghost! I have no brother or Digimon partner!"
"Don't waste your breath, boy!"
Andy, Lopmon, and Patamon turned, seeing Freakshow coming up while holding the crystal ball. Beside him was Agunimon. Freakshow must've brought Agunimon with him. DemiDevimon was back on Freakshow's shoulder, wanting to watch this metaphorical train wreck.
"He's under my control now," Freakshow remarked. "My Digital slave, go take care of that boy!"
Agunimon grinned, showing his sharp canine teeth easily. "With pleasure~"
Agunimon got up on the roof of the train and ran at Andy, only this time, Agunimon attacking Andy was no accident. This time, it was intentional. Agunimon didn't even bother coating his fist in fire, he was strong enough to do some damage with just his physical strength.
Lopmon quickly got in front of Agunimon. "I won't let you hurt him!"
"Agunimon… it's me… Andy… don't you recognize me?" Andy attempted to call out, wishing he could use Takuya's real name, but he couldn't, not with Freakshow here.
Agunimon did stop, looking at Andy. For a moment, there was recognition in those red eyes. Agunimon's eyes shifted back to their normal blue for a moment. He seemed to be fighting off the staff's control, with more success than Danny, but it faded and his eyes turned red again. The confused look on his face was replaced with malice as he grinned sinisterly. "Of course. You're the boy who wants to interfere with the Master. But I won't let you, boy!"
Freakshow laughed. "As you can see, I control them now~ Don't even waste your breath, child. It will do you no good!"
"Lopmon, looks like we have no choice but to fight," Andy said.
"Yeah…" Lopmon frowned. "Agunimon, I don't want to do this, but you leave me no choice."
Andy's D-Arc beeped as Lopmon began to digivolve.
"Lopmon, digivolve to…" Fractal code surrounded Lopmon as his skin began to peel away from his body on his face, and then his legs lost their skin as well. His ears also lost their skin before his skin began to come back, but on his legs and feet first. Lopmon's legs gained shoes and yellow pants with a belt and yellow top that matched, two blades appeared as his hands regained their skin and red gloves, grasping the blades in both hands. The skin on Lopmon's head and face came back, just as a blue bandanna appeared around his neck as well. "Turuiemon!"
The fractal code dissipated, revealing Turuiemon in Lopmon's place. "Let's do this, Andy."
"Turuiemon, I'll be counting on you to fight Agunimon. Patamon and I will face Danny," Andy said.
"Is this a good idea?" Patamon frowned. "What about the other 3?"
"You're delusional if you think you can defeat my minions, boy," Freakshow laughed. "Especially with your pitiful Digimon."
Freakshow looked at the bulky ghost. "Grab that boy."
The big bulky ghost flew at Andy. Andy yelped as he quickly moved away from the ghost, but it was difficult to move around on top of a moving train. He didn't train for this. It was too easy to lose his balance.
The smaller ghost and the elastic girl ghost flew past Turuiemon, who was busy with Agunimon, and headed for Andy as well.
"Hey! 4 on 2 just isn't fair, don't you think?" Andy grumbled as he and Patamon were trying to fight off these ghosts.
Andy was swinging his Fenton Rod to try to keep the ghosts off of him while Patamon was trying to blow them back with Boom Bubble.
"Leave Andy alone!" Turuiemon shouted.
"Don't turn your back on the enemy~" Agunimon grinned before he pulled back his hand. "Pyro Punch!"
Turuiemon yelped as Agunimon punched his side, leaving a burn mark.
"Ugh… That's gonna hurt tomorrow…" Turuiemon grunted as he turned back to face Agunimon. "Let's see if this will snap you out of this mind-control! Gauntlet Claw!" Turuiemon ran at Agunimon, slashing at him with his gauntlets.
Andy was twirling his Fenton Rod to try to avoid getting hit as much as possible. The Rod was able to deflect ghost rays, but only from the front. Patamon was trying to fight back behind Andy, though it wasn't difficult for him, especially since he couldn't fly due to the train moving, he had to stay on the ground. It made it more difficult to fire out his Boom Bubble, as expanding himself while on the ground made him lose his balance as his feet couldn't keep holding him.
But before Patamon could be hit by the ghost he was fighting, a large orange shape came slamming into the ghost, knocking the ghost away.
"Nice aim, Birdramon!" A familiar voice called out.
Freakshow was surprised when he saw a large flaming bird was flying next to them.
"What is this?" Freakshow frowned.
"Looks like they brought in more Digimon," DemiDevimon noted in annoyance.
"Sam! Birdramon! Am I glad to see you!" Andy called out. "Where's Tucker and Kokuwamon!?"
"We're right here!" Tucker's voice shouted from beside the train.
Sure enough, Guardromon was keeping pace with the train.
Andy knew if the train got past a certain point, the cops wouldn't be able to catch up to Freakshow, and Freakshow could easily get away. "Tucker! Can you and Guardromon try to slow this train down!?"
"Sure can! Just buy us some time!" Tucker replied back.
Guardromon moved closer to the train's caboose and grabbed onto the side. "I do not know how well this will work, Tucker!"
"We have to keep trying!" Tucker called back.
"What are you 3 doing!? Stop them!" Freakshow shouted at the 3 ghosts. "I'll have my two strongest minions take care of these 3 here."
The bulky ghost flew at Tucker and Guardromon, while the elastic girl and the midget ghost flew at Sam and Birdramon.
"Incoming!" Tucker yelled.
The bulky ghost grabbed onto Guardromon's shoulders, trying to pry him off of the train.
The elastic ghost girl wrapped herself around Birdramon's wings to try to keep her from flying.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, unless you want to be burned!" Birdramon hissed.
The ghost girl let out a yelp as her body was soon burned from the flaming feathers of Birdramon, releasing her wings. The midget ghost flew at Sam directly, trying to knock her off of Birdramon.
"Fly up!" Sam quickly said.
Birdramon quickly flew up in the air, causing the midget ghost to grab onto Birdramon's stomach instead, and his hands were getting burned. Hissing, the girl ghost fired eye beams at Birdramon. Birdramon was now moving to dodge their attacks.
"Warning Laser!" Guardromon fired eye lasers at the bulky ghost, trying to get him off.
Tucker began pushing against the bulky ghost himself. He really wished he thought about getting weapons from Fenton Works before coming here.
With the others fighting, Turuiemon was focusing on Agunimon. The two of them seemed to be about evenly matched. Thanks to Andy's training, Turuiemon was able to move much faster despite being on a moving train. He was quick to counter Agunimon's Pyro Punches with his own Gauntlet Claws.
However, while Turuiemon and Agunimon were about even, the same couldn't be said for Andy and Danny. While Andy had Patamon to help him, Danny was still much stronger than both of them.
Danny came in for a punch, which Andy knew he couldn't dodge due to the moving train making it difficult for him to move, so instead he tried to block it with his Fenton Rod. His arms felt like they were about to break trying to hold Danny back. Patamon gasped, trying to tackle Danny away from Andy. Danny just grinned as he turned himself intangible for a split second, making Patamon go through him.
"Pathetic, I can't believe we were ever partners to begin with," Danny sneered. "No wonder you ran away like a coward. You can't do anything."
Patamon felt the sting of Danny's comment. It was true, he did run away. "You don't know…"
"I don't need to know to know you're a bad partner," Danny replied before looking at Andy. "And you… you are just so sad. Look at you, trying to fight back against a ghost. Are you really trying to be like our parents? Are you going to dissect me next?"
"No! I'm trying to save you!" Andy shouted, still barely hanging on to the Fenton Rod as Danny was pushing him back with ease.
"Of course you are. Trying to save me for our parents to dissect, right?" Danny taunted. "All ghost hunters are the same. Good thing I only need Master now. He appreciates me, unlike you!"
"When did I ever show I wanted to be like our parents?" Andy asked before Danny shoved him into the ground.
"You were always looking at me like you were looking at a different specimen," Danny hissed as he began to put pressure on Andy's chest with his own Fenton Rod, making it hard for Andy to breathe. "You're envious of me, aren't you? You've always wanted your own ghost powers, don't you? Well, you can have ghost powers, bro, at the cost of your humanity~"
Patamon decided enough was enough, he couldn't let this continue. If he wanted to save Danny, he would need to bring out everything he had. Patamon took out a familiar red dagger from his fractal code and held onto the hilt.
"I said… let him go!" Patamon shouted as he launched forward and slashed Danny's back with the dagger, causing a cut on his back.
Danny yelped in pain as he felt the burn of the blade cutting into his ectoplasmic body. He let go of Andy, hissing in agony.
"What the hell was that!?" Danny growled as he turned to face Patamon, who was still holding the red dagger that was dripping with Danny's ectoplasm.
"It's a special dagger… made with the properties of Blood Blossoms. A special flower that was grown to hurt and deflect ghosts," Patamon explained coldly. "It's one of the few things in this world that can truly hurt a ghost, barring human technology."
Danny hissed like an angry cat when he heard that explanation.
"Blood Blossoms? So, you plan to hurt me as well? You plan to kill me, because I am a ghost?" Danny growled out, his red eyes seeming to turn even redder.
"Patamon?" Andy blinked, he knew Patamon was planning something with the ghost boy from the prophecy, and it was still doubtful that was even Danny to begin with, but he didn't know just how far Patamon was going to go to try to prevent that prophecy.
Patamon took a moment to take a breath. It was time to confess his sin. "Yes, it's all true! I was planning to kill you, because you may be the ghost that would bring doom to all 3 worlds! I couldn't let that happen."
Danny narrowed his eyes further. "You were planning to backstab me all this time!?"
"No," Patamon replied. "I didn't know you were a ghost until recently. We had truly bonded before then… So why are you getting mad at me!? You were the one who kept this secret from me! You're the one who gave me the choice of killing you or to remain in hiding like a coward!"
"So why didn't you do it!? You've had the chance before, didn't you!?" Danny snapped. "Was I not worth killing then!?"
"Because I can't kill you!" Patamon shouted before he realized what he even said.
Danny blinked, thrown for a loop. "You… can't kill me?"
Andy managed to get back onto his feet as this conversation was happening.
"You can't kill him… because you're partners," Andy realized. "Or more like, you don't want to kill him. Danny, don't you see? Patamon truly does care about you. If he didn't, he would've killed you a long time ago!"
Danny stared for a moment, as if truly seeing what was going on. "I… He…"
While Danny was starting to break out of the control, Freakshow held up his crystal ball, making sure Danny could see it.
"... It doesn't matter, this is where I am now," Danny stated.
Damn it! It's that crystal ball! We have to get it away from Freakshow! Andy hissed, seeing that they had been so close to breaking Danny out of Freakshow's control.
"My digital pet, make sure they can't get to me!" Freakshow called, seeing that Andy was giving him the look with the intent to kill.
Agunimon however, was busy fighting Turuiemon, which made it difficult to get to Freakshow's side. But he managed to kick Turuiemon back to break off to get to his master's side.
Agunimon created a Plasma Sphere around Freakshow, making sure nobody could get past him and get to his master.
"Good, digital pet~" Freakshow grinned.
Of course! This can never be easy… Andy groaned.
Andy twirled his Fenton Rod to deflect a ghost ray from Danny, though the ghost ray was so strong that he pushed Andy back a few feet. Patamon was careful to not slash or stab at any of Danny's vital organs with the dagger, even though he was in his ghost form, he still… likely functioned as a human. He needed to slow Danny down, not butcher him.
Damn it, Lydia, what is taking you so long? Freakshow hissed.
Meanwhile, back at the tent, nobody knew that the train had left, and that it was being pursued by a few children with their Digimon. They were all waiting for the show to start.
"How long has it been? Is the show going to start soon?" Maddie questioned.
"I don't know." Jack frowned. "I don't like this. Something feels… off."
Just then, a form emerged from the ceiling, becoming tangible. It was a cloak wearing form, and it had red eyes. Jack felt a chill creeping down his back at seeing the form just appear out of nowhere.
The form reached up and pulled back the hood, revealing a green-skinned, red-eyed, glowing female form. The ghostly, yes, ghostly, form had spiked black hair and tattoos all over the body, and even had piercings on the face.
As soon as the ghost was revealed, the tattoos on its body began to move, coming off of the ghost. Then, the ghost sent its new mini minions to cause trouble in the audience.
Jack knew what this was, as did Maddie.
"GHOST!" The two of them exclaimed, getting ready for battle. Maddie even flipped up her hood and goggles as she and Jack stood up.
"I knew this would happen!" Jack shouted.
"Come on, Jack, let's show them that our ghost expertise is more than just for show!" Maddie called out.
Both of them hopped into the gray, their hazmat suits armed to the teeth with small, yet effective, ghost weapons.
While that was going on, Jazz was at her computer at home. She was also talking to Floramon on her laptop.
"Is everything going alright?" Floramon asked in concern. "You think this video will help them track down that freak guy?"
Jazz had told Floramon everything that happened, especially since Floramon was her only form of comfort right now.
"I hope it does." Jazz said before something caught her attention. "Wait… what's… going on?" Jazz could see the video she was working on was slowly being pixelated. "Is… Something's wrong… the video is getting… pixelated…"
"What?" Floramon frowned.
Jazz quickly picked up her cell phone and called Tucker. She needed to know what was going on.
When Tucker picked up, Jazz could hear a lot of loud noises coming from his end, some of it sounded like explosions and yelling, and a screeching sound like metal being forced on a hard surface to move.
"Uh… kinda busy, Jazz! Is this important!?" Tucker yelled over the noise.
"The video is becoming pixelated! Like something is messing with it!" Jazz shouted back.
"Pixelated!? It sounds like a virus is trying to eat away at it!" Tucker shouted. "Do you have any anti-virus programs!?"
Floramon frowned as she was watching the conversation. "I don't think any anti-virus program is going to help. I'm sensing a Digimon's data in your system."
"Oh, c'mon! Is nothing ever easy?!" Jazz exclaimed. "Just how the hell am I supposed to stop a Digimon in my computer system?!"
"I'm sorry! I wish I could help, but I have to go! I almost dropped my phone… Good luck!" Tucker called out before hanging up.
"Great, we're on our own, Floramon." Jazz said as she put her phone down. "How do we stop this Digimon?"
"It's possible that Digimon was transported there by that freak man or his Digimon partner to try to stop you from showing anyone that video. That Digimon might've been tracking Andy and Lopmon down to find your computer system," Floramon theorized. "If a Digimon can get in, then so can I! I'll be right back, Jazz!"
Floramon ran off into the castle somewhere.
Jazz blinked, wondering what Floramon intended to do. Then all of a sudden, Jazz heard Floramon's voice coming from… her computer?
"Hey Jazz!"
Jazz looked at her computer screen, only to see Floramon waving at her… from her monitor. "Floramon?!"
"Yep! It seems it worked!" Floramon said with a big grin. "I went to talk to Sorcermon about the situation, and he helped me get in here."
"What? But you were only gone for a second!" Jazz pointed out.
"Time differences, remember?" Floramon chuckled. "When we're not in direct contact with each other on the website, time flows differently for us."
Logically, Jazz knew about the time differences between this world and the Digital World, but it was her first time seeing it in action from the real world.
"Okay, I'm gonna dive into the video's system and flush out this Digimon," Floramon said.
Jazz nodded. "Good luck. I'll be here to back you up… Um… in the best way I can from here that is." She added quickly.
Floramon moved into Jazz's computer system, beginning her search for the virus Digimon that was trying to delete the video.
Jazz was surprised when her monitor was following Floramon, allowing her to see where her Digimon partner was going. She could see wires, and data being transported at high speed.
Floramon was looking around as she floated in cyberspace. "Hmm, where are you, you little troublemaker?"
"Floramon, behind you!" Jazz called out, seeing something moving.
Floramon turned around, surprised to see something was eating up the data that was making the video. It was a Digimon that was gray in color, with spindly arms and fingers. It had only tentacles from its yellow collar, and had a large bulbous head with green and black eyes, and two thin antennae extensions from its head. It had a big mouth filled with sharp teeth as well.
"What is that?" Jazz frowned.
"It's a Digimon alright… but not one I've seen before…" Floramon frowned.
"It's eating up the data, can't you stop it?" Jazz asked.
"I'll try. Poison Ivy!" Floramon shot out her vines from her hands at the Digimon, grabbing it and pulling it away from the data it was eating and threw it into a wall.
"Nice job, Floramon!" Jazz exclaimed before her eyes went wide. "Wait… Did that even stun it?"
Sure enough, the Digimon Floramon had grabbed and thrown away seemed to be moving still. It looked at Floramon and sneered, showing its large mouth. "Network Flapping!" As if on cue, a loud sound began to emit from its mouth.
Floramon yelped as she moved around in the air to avoid the attack.
"My name is Keramon. It would seem someone likes interrupting my meal, I don't like that," The Digimon that identified itself as 'Keramon' remarked.
"Look out, Floramon!" Jazz called.
Keramon flew at Floramon with alarming speed. "Bug Blaster!"
Keramon began firing out bullets of light energy at Floramon. Floramon yelped as she attempted to dodge, but she was hit quickly, and rapidly. Keramon kept firing the bullets from his mouth.
"Floramon!" Jazz yelled in worry.
"Little flower wilts so easily," Keramon muttered after he finally stopped his attack. "And this data is fresh and tasty."
Jazz knew she had to act fast. This Keramon was dangerous, and she had to get the video out now. "Floramon! You can do it! We have to save everyone!"
Floramon opened her eyes, feeling Jazz's desire to protect her family flowing through her, and she was surrounded by fractal code.
"Floramon, digivolve to…" Floramon felt her skin coming away all over her body. She felt her arms fade away as feathers seemed to sprout from her body. Her legs became avian-like in appearance, and her head became bird-like. Her eyes turned green, and a white helmet came over her head. Green leaves that looked like hair came out from under the helmet. "Kiwimon!"
The fractal code dissipated, revealing Kiwimon in Floramon's place.
Keramon looked impressed. "Oh, you got stronger? This should be interesting~"
But Kiwimon wasn't going to allow Keramon time to taunt or even counter. She was on the move quickly. At the same time, Kiwimon brought out her mini Kiwimon in her best move. "Pummel Peck!"
Kiwimon shot the mini Kiwimon at Keramon in rapid succession.
Keramon yelped as he didn't expect Kiwimon to go in for a brutal attack. Kiwimon didn't let up, she spat out more mini Kiwimon from her beak. "Pummel Peck!"
"Pummel Peck!"
"Pummel Peck!"
Kiwimon didn't let up, she couldn't afford to let this Digimon attack her or get any stronger. They needed this Digimon out of here now.
To make sure it was finished, Kiwimon ran at the Keramon, who was covered in mini Kiwimon. "High Jumping Kick!"
Kiwimon jumped and brought down her talons onto Keramon. His body burst into data.
Jazz had never felt so relieved in her life. She slumped in her chair, lifting up her hands to see them shaking. "Wow… That was… intense…" Talk about cutting it close…
Jazz then smiled at Kiwimon. "Nice work, Kiwimon. You did good out there."
Kiwimon was exhausted, but she nodded. "Thanks… I'll head back… to the portal… to my world… you get that… video out…"
Kiwimon began floating her way out of the computer.
"Thanks, Floramon, you're the best partner I could ever ask for." Jazz smiled.
Little did they know, the bits of data that was scattered began to disappear into the internet.
Titanic X: ZAFT: Glad you liked the twist here! XD You will see what happens to free Danny and Takuya~ :3
DarkFoxKit: Admittedly, I wasn't sure how we'd get Takuya under Freakshow's control without having to include Lopmon and Patamon as well, because if it works on Digimon, then it should've worked on them too. But eventually we went with it because partner Digimon are immune to mind controlling things. At least for now, things like the Dark Rings from Digimon 02 could still happen after all.
Akhemphi: DarkFoxKit: Well, if we decide to use Dragon Andy, we'll see what we can do with it. Heck, it took us this long to decide if we wanted to keep Andy human or become a halfa like his brother, which we're still not gonna reveal what we went with until season 2. We're also trying to come up with ways the Digimon partner could still be useful for a halfa like Danny.
As for the secondary traits, that part was more ZAFT's idea, so I'll let her handle that.
ZAFT: So, if we did a secondary trait for Andy if we did Dragon Andy then yes, we would probably do more of the mental traits of a dragon or features that are less noticeable. A pair of wings would be noticeable unless we did it in his ghost form instead. That kinda would blend better since Andy's ghost form is already ghostly, and having ghostly wings would fit better there. But we would have to have a trade off-like if Andy had the wings, we'd make it so he can't fly without the wings. That's kinda how I would suggest we do it anyway.
But I'm glad you like the idea of the twins being the bridge between the three worlds. But to agree with you, yes, it is hard to work it out, but I think we're doing okay with it.
DarkFoxKit: The whole being a bridge between three worlds was the original idea too, we're just trying to find ways to balance them out more, especially with the Digimon partner and halfa thing. That was always going to be the hardest one to figure out. It's not like a human and a Digimon after all. But I like to think we may have gotten something working. You'll likely see it some time after the Control Freaks episode.
