Welcome to chapter two of The fallen Lute

————–—————–—————–————

Lute wakes in a cold sweat having had a nightmare that her bleeding heart sister had betrayed them and almost killed her. Only for Lute to realize it wasn't a dream as she sees the room she woke up in was not hers there was no rock posters, no pictures of her and her sisters, no poster of her dad. Instead the room was dark, warmer than comfortable, and there were lots of goat merchandise from stuffed animals to pictures.

Lute goes to stand but nearly topples over from the pain in her leg only staying upright thanks to the desk next to her. "Fuck! This is pain?!" *Lute asks herself as she gently sits back down. Noticing her sword is gone Lute checks the bed trying not to bump her leg as she feels naked without her blade. "Ah where is it?" She had removed everything from the bed and found nothing leaving her defenseless should a demon enter and with her leg messed up she knew she would not win that fight.

Just then the door opens and a 6ft tall pale white demon woman walks in with a try with food and a drink on it and two small demon goats flying in behind her one trying to get the try as if trying to carry it for her. "No Razzle I told you I can carry it haha." Charlie laughs out only to pause as she sees Lute is awake and glaring at her. "Oh morning I'm Charlie! How are you feeling?" She asks excited to see her guest was up. Lute recognized Charlie the second she saw her face. This was that bastard Lucifer's daughter, one of three demons she and her sisters were banned from killing.

"I'm fine and I'll be going now." Lute says as she tries to leave leaning on the desk only for Charlie to push her back into the bed. "What no way you can leave with that messed up leg you'll get yourself killed!" Charlie yells as if she was genuinely worried. It was a good act Lute was actually impressed that a demon could look so innocent of course Lute knew what this truly was just lucifer's brat playing with her to get her to lower her guard. "Has if you care bitch!" Lute sneers out. "Of course I care , I would have left you in the alley if I didn't." Charlie retorts.

Lute pauses as she didn't know that Charlie had been the one to save and bandage up her leg though it made sense if she was the one bringing Lute food but why? Why would the daughter of the most evil man in all of creation save her? To torture her? To use her as a hostage? Whatever the case Lute was reminded of something her dad once said "we always pay back our debts even if the one we owe is a douchebag got it kids?" So Lute begrudgingly knew what she had to do for this life debt even if it made every fiber of her being burn in hatred and revulsion.

"I Lute pledge to serve you until I repay my debt." She ground out through clenched teeth. Charlie, surprised, quickly sets the food down and waves her hands in front of her. "No no that's ok you don't owe me anything really." Charlie says sheepishly. Damn this hell spawn was a great actor if Lute didn't know better she might have believed her but either way her dad would be disappointed if she tried to back out of a debt not to mention what this bitch might do to her. "I insist I will not leave a debt unpaid. So I shall guard you until I repay you." Lute really hated life now as she was to serve this hell spawn. who knows what disgusting, depraved things she would be forced to do.

"Uh fine I guess I'll accept that but if you don't want to do something I'm not going to force you. Oh this is Razzle and this is Dazzle my two bodyguards slash pets." Charlie says with a smile. Lute looks at the goats and even she has to admit they are rather cute for hell spawn. "So what depraved shit am I to do first?" Lute asks with a glare. "D-Depraved? Haha oh no no no no-nothing like that just rest up and heal you can't walk with a hole in your leg. speaking of which I need to check your bandages so lay back please." Charlie says blushing. Lute can't believe this demon she's acting just like that fool Emily does. It's kinda creepy. Lute lays back still glaring at Charlie as she waits for her to try to attack her.

Charlie bends over and removes the bandages and throws the old disgusting gold blood covered bandages in the trash as she applies the new one. "So um… What are your favorite foods? I'll try to make sure we keep them in stock here." Charlie asks as she wraps Lute's leg. Lute glare intensifies at the question. Was this demon trying to poison her with her favorite foods? No poison wouldn't work so maybe she was just making conversation? Well Lute would rather eat food that tastes good over whatever it was in hell they ate. "I… rather like sweets and meat lamb especially." Charlie smiles at the non-hostile tone. "Ok sweets and lamb, that's easy. I like sweets too dark chocolate especially!" Charlie says with her usual smile and cheer, happy to finally have a friend to talk to. This demon was weird. Lute didn't like how convincing she was at playing innocent. Razzle hands Lute the try of food with a dopey smile, his tongue sticking out of his lips. "Um… thanks?" Lute says taking the try and she starts eating.

It's been three months since Lute woke up in hell. For the first three weeks Lute was bed ridden after that her days consisted of following Charlie around the palace and talking lots of talking Lute discovered four things in those long three months. The first was that this palace was huge and empty. It was just Charlie, Razzle, Dazzle and Lute. The second Charlie was not allowed to leave the palace. Third, Charlie was planning on leaving the palace to try to redeem sinners or at least that's the lie she told. Lute wasn't buying it after all sinners couldn't be redeemed and even if they could there's no way Charlie actually cared about them enough to try. It was probably just another ploy to mess with Lute's head.

Though her biggest and most regretful find was that her wings were not growing back. She was stuck here in hell at least Until the next extermination than she could find dad and explain what's happening to him. He was probably worried about her. After all, she was his favorite. She was the one that actually listened, not like that bitch Vaggie who was always questioning him about why they had to kill the sinners or why he acted so mean to women. It always pissed Lute off when Vaggie would question dad. He was dad, he was thee fucking man, he was their leader and caregiver, sure they were adults now but dad was just… perfect. He was smart, strong and he actually cared for them unlike mom. Who ran off shortly after they were born. Corrupted by that asshole lucifer and his whore wife.

Lute nearly attacked out of instinct when Charlie touched her shoulder. Was she that lost in thought? Dad would kill her if he knew she let her guard down while in hell. But it was just something about Charlie that made it hard to focus. Probably some demon trick like her whole innocent act. "What? My bad I was lost in thought." Lute says with a glare though her glares lack their usual steel it seems more like it was just a habit at this point.

"Oh sorry I didn't mean to interrupt. But I um… wanted to know if you were ready to go? This will probably be our only shot as dad is away on a business meeting." Charlie says delicately as she learned Lute really hates being bothered when she is thinking but Charlie was ok with that after all Lute was her best and only friend… well besides Razzle and Dazzle but they were more pets than friends. "Are you sure you want to do this? It doesn't make much sense to just run away. Especially for something as stupid as trying to redeem sinners." Lute asks with a slight huff.

"Of course Lute, I need to save my people. The extermination is only 9 months away. And my dream isn't stupid sinners can be redeemed. I'll show you and everyone else." Charlie says with conviction. This was a topic of a lot of their conversations. Charlie loved brainstorming ways to redeem sinners and Lute would shoot her down every time for this reason or that. But Lute was still willing to come with her so even if they didn't share the same views it was nice of Lute to still support her even if she was being kinda a bitch about it.

"Fine but I'm taking a sword." Lute says with a roll of her eyes as she walks past Charlie to the armory. "I-is it really necessary? I mean we want to save them, not kill them." Charlie asks following Lute with a shy, nervous smile.

"Of course it's necessary, it's hell. It's full of vile filth in need of purging. And if you want to save them then you need to be alive so I shall guard you. I need a weapon for that and swords are what I am best with." Lute replies without pause as they get to the armory Lute smirks at all the holy weapons. This was by far her favorite room in this realm so full of weapons of all kinds. lined wall to wall were spears, axes, bows, pitchforks, clubs, and her favorite swords of every make and model. Lute often slept in here Charlie thinks her love for weapons is kinda creepy Especially the smile she gets when she holds one. Lute looks over the swords and sees one that makes her nearly fan girl. It was the archangel Michael's flaming sword, the very one he had stabbed into Lucifer when he was cast out. Lute grabbed it without a single hesitation. This was hers now even if it was nearly as big as she was she'd train with it and learn its deepest, darkest secrets. Charlie hated that sword; it was a reminder that her family were hated simply for having a dream. "Really that one? Of all the swords you had to pick the one I actually detest." Charlie says with annoyance heavy in her voice. "It's perfect." Lute purrs as she stares lovingly into the blade as pure white fire dances across it.

Lute looks up and sees a pitchfork with a black handle with a gold snake wrapping up its length, the blades exiting out of a red apple. Lute grabs it and tosses it to charlie. "There a pitchfork for the devil." Lute jokes.

Charlie catches the pitchfork with a nervous laugh as she begrudgingly puts it on her back after all Lute might be right they could need to defend themselves. And with that Charlie, Razzle, Dazzle, and Lute all snuck out of the palace of hell ready to try to save sinners or well Charlie was the other three were just following their naive leader into literal hell.

And that is chapter two of the messy thing I call a story. I tried to make this chapter longer than the last as just three paragraphs seemed way too little though I may have stretched it a bit and really avoided a lot of stuff but I'm gonna try to have more actual speaking in the next chapter. Thanks for reading my mess and thanks for the follows and review. It was a surprise and actually made me smile
