After having raced to the meeting room, all the bots assembled including Lancex. Once gathered, Agent Fowler revealed the reason for the alert – that there was an imposter Optimus running loose who was stealing high tech mechanics and destroying valuable government equipment. All the Autobots were stunned, though Optimus wasn't exactly surprised, and Lancex was quiet. Optimus knew the cons fought dirty and figured this was likely one of their idiotic ideas, but said nothing for now. "I need you to handle this false Optimus" Fowler emphatically stated.
"I will handle it" Lancex piped up before any other Autobot could respond.
"Who are you?" Fowler rudely demanded to know.
"Lancex. I'm new here" Lancex explained, not taking the bait from Fowler. Fowler looked to Optimus who just nodded. Fowler then nodded as well, not wanting to ask further.
"Lancex, why are you taking this on?" Optimus queried.
"This false Optimus may know the rest of the Autobot voices as well as abilities and weaknesses and cause issues. Since I am new here and relatively unknown, I would have the best advantage since I am unknown" Lancex explained. It made perfect sense put in that manner. Optimus quickly agreed. "Plus, others may not trust the real Optimus Prime while this fake one is on the loose." And with that, Lancex left, though only Ratchet could tell that this bothered Optimus and likely why.
Lancex soon arrived that the destination he had been given, he pulled out of of his weapons – the katana of the warrior – and hunted for this Nemesis Prime. It didn't take long for Lancex to find his quarry, which was also being controlled by some strange and deranged human named Silas, though Lancex did not know the name. He could tell this human was not to be trusted. Silas was stunned to see this strange new bot. Silas had figured on one of the known Autobots to show up and Optimus would have been icing on the cake, but this unknown Autobot threw a wrench in the plan.
But, being the evil devious human that he was, he figured he could capture this new bot and his team could "study" this new bot. Little did this detestable human realize he was messing with the wrong bot.
Sensing an imminent attack, Lancex raised his Katana and blocked the strike that had come at him. Lancex looked at the bot who had attempted to punch Lancex and found it to be a darkened version of Optimus. Silas demanded to know who this strange new bot was, but Lancex refused to answer, instead attacking at the foul bot and its creator. Soon, they appear to be at a stand still, but Lancex stepped back, took in a deep breath, and then called out "single sword style draw and rebirth, dragon song."
Just as Silas was wondering what the garbage gibberish was, well at least gibberish to him, Lancex soon vanished and then reappeared behind Silas and the Nemesis Prime. And before Silas or Nemesis Prime can make another move, Lancex struck them down, destroying Nemesis Prime and going after the disgusting injured human.
But as Lancex approached, he felt a sting in his neck and was soon out cold. Silas didn't see what happened as he was just lucky to escape mostly intact. Shockwave, pleased at how well the sedative worked, soon carried off the desired bot. Well, desired by Megatron. Shockwave didn't ask why. When Megatron gave the bot an order, Shockwave followed the order to the letter, unlike Starscream. Soon enough, Shockwave and the out of it Lancex were gone, arriving on the floating con base. Megatron smiled and evil smile. At least this time, his bot didn't fail to complete his orders.
