So, it feels like this story needs to have more attention.
Fret not, as it will be updated.
Though, this is going to be a very short story for the anthology because I am currently focusing on three projects at the moment.
Dark Souls: Tales of the Other Embers

A Normal Job
'A Story of a Hero who did a normal job.'
Morning loomed over the city of Mantle.
All residents began their day by following their usual routine.
Including a particular individual.
Ash is currently standing at the Zebra crossing, holding a 'stop' sign in his hand. As ridiculous as this may be, this was different. Having replaced Jaune's place to escort some preschool children to their destination.
He turned his head around and saw the schoolchildren looking at him with a scared look. This made him sigh and turn around to level his body to their height. "I'm not scary. Just follow me and don't even think about that, okay?"
Though his voice was cold and lacked any filter of empathy, the little children nodded at him. Ash got up and resumed escorting them to their destination.
Along the way, he glanced to the sideway and saw the kids' young mothers giving flirting gestures and even some winks at him. Seeing this made him roll his eyes. He wasn't the type who would fall in love and feel the opposite. "Why are they doing that? Don't they have their own husbands?" He asked himself with a heavy dose of cynicism.
A Few minutes passed, and Ash and the preschool kids finally arrived at their destination. "Go on." He gestured towards the kids. "You finally arrived at your destination."
The small kids passed by him and ran to the school, giggling happily as they anticipated to do their things throughout the day. Seeing this made him realise how grateful he was to be in this Era. These were children he was protecting. Children that was the complete opposite of what he saw during his own journey throughout Lothric.
It's too bad he got distracted, as he didn't see a blonde woman in a red coat walking towards him with a recently cooked casserole. When he noticed her, it was too late to tell her to leave. "Hey, I don't need that. I was only doing my job." Ash told her, holding back his cold cynicism and apathy.
The blonde woman didn't seem to care at all. Instead, she'd repeatedly attempted to hand the Casserole to the Unkindled before she forcefully shoved it into his arms, which made her strike a pose while blushing. She didn't seem to be aware that Ash didn't feel the extreme heat that the tray carrying the Casserole appeared to burn his hands.
The blonde woman eventually walked away, causing Ash to release a sigh. "This is what I get in the First Mission as a Hunter? I'm not going to eat all of this. However…"
-Scene Change-
"Welcome back, Ashen One," The Firekeeper greeted him as he entered their dorm. "How was thy mission?"
"It went well." The Unkindled responded as he walked to a certain part of the dorm. "However, I got something from them in return." He placed the Casserole onto the desk. He was lucky that his Pyromancy kept the food warm.
The Firekeeper sniffed a few times before asking, "Is that food I smell?"
"Yes," The Unkindled responded. "You want to have some?"
The Firekeeper smiled at him. "Of course. I want to try some delicacy."
Ash had expected to her this response from her. "Alright then, let my grab some plates and then enjoy this food." He walked out of the room to grab the necessities before he and his friend indulge on the still-warm casserole.
I really wish I can write more. But I feel like I want others to participate in writing a story. But not the ones I have written surrounding Ash, Patches, Olivia, and the Tale of the Porcelain Masked Woman.
It is an anthology after all.
Feel free to put your ideas if you want to. I want to allow others to show their creativity.
