BRANCH-881:

"Trust me, you will be thankful for my explanation of this new world." The Watcher stated as he eyed the universe. "This world is the perfect example of an incursion done correctly. Two completely different realities being merged together by a powerful force." He then watched as Spider-Man was swinging through the city as he went about his daily routine, just like always. There was nothing special about the day; he would usually go through his usual routine of fighting enemies, saving lives, and then going home to sleep it all off. But today was something different. "Luckily this world's mightiest heroes were able to defeat the threat and save their universe from certain destruction. But what none of the heroes of this reality know is that they were going to have all of their worlds flipped upside down with this incursion they weren't even aware of. A perfect incursion that wasn't capable of being undone, and the people of the incursed universe..."

Peter had just finished helping his friends and colleagues fight off this multidimensional monster known as Kang the Conqueror. They had fought him before, but this time it was a little different because he was dragging different timelines and people from other worlds into their own. Luckily, Strange was able to undo everything and send everyone back to their regular dimensions with help from Reed with minimal changes. Or so they thought.

Exhausted from the fight, Peter swung his way to his apartment. But before he could swing open the window to his apartment, he heard what sounded like a baby crying. He froze and looked around the area, expecting to find a mother or family trying to soothe the crying baby. But after a few moments had passed and the baby's cries continued, he began to wonder what was wrong.

Peter's movements were swift and calculated as he weaved his way through the area, his ears tuned to the sound of crying. His search led him to a desolate alleyway, shrouded in darkness and riddled with litter. He edged his way down the wall, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of danger. As he approached the source of the weeping, his heart sank at the sight of two tiny figures, nestled together in a makeshift box. The girls looked almost like infants, their faces stained with tears as they whimpered softly. Peter's mind raced with questions as he wondered how such young children could have ended up in such a forlorn place.

"Hey," Peter said as he approached them. But it seemed he scared the older girl, as the younger one was only a few months old. "Oh, it's okay." He then removed his mask to appear more friendly to the girls. "I'm a friend."

As he walked closer to the two girls, he observed their features in detail. He immediately noticed that the older girl was likely three or four years old, and she was blessed with beautiful blue eyes that sparkled in the sunlight. Her rosy cheeks added to her youthful appearance, while her thin pink lips and small nose gave her a delicate look. Her short platinum-blonde hair framed her face perfectly, and her fair skin had a light dusting of freckles, giving her an innocent and pure look.

Looking at the younger child in her sister's arms, he observed that she too was beautiful. Unlike her sister, she had fair skin that was almost translucent, making her turquoise-blue eyes shine even brighter. Her rosy cheeks matched those of her sister, and her thin pink lips and small nose gave her a similar delicate appearance. She had short, scruffy strawberry-blonde hair that went down to her neck.

"What are you two doing out here by yourselves?" Peter wondered as he looked around, expecting to find any sign of their parents. "Where are your parents?" He then wondered if these children could even talk. "Can you understand me? What's your name?"

The older girl smiled when she heard the question and giggled. "Elsa."

Peter saw that she at least knew her name but didn't seem to understand what had happened to her. "Alright, Elsa. Nice to meet you. Is this your sister?"

"Anna," Elsa said, looking down at her sister.

Peter then held his hand out to her, knowing there was no way he was going to leave the two little girls out there. Elsa was a little confused as she took Peter's hand and got up to her feet. Peter then took Anna and soothed her as she started to fuss.

"Shh, it's okay," Peter said as Anna started to calm down. "I'm going to help you guys out. And I know someone who can help."

Dr. Christine Palmer is a surgeon at Metro-General Hospital and a former colleague of Stephen Strange. She was also his girlfriend until they broke up due to his egotistical personality. While Palmer remained on good terms with Strange, she was never able to reciprocate his feelings for her in the same way as he had for her.

Over time and again, she had found herself playing doctor for a handful of superheroes who had secret identities and couldn't visit normal doctors. With her connection to Strange, she now found herself in the middle of a battle or an emergency room filled with dozens of other heroes.

She was actually happy to help them, and those whose identities she learned while treating their injuries promised to never speak and to keep their identities to themselves.

While she went about her normal routine around the hospital, she made her way into the closet to get some more materials. But she screamed when she was surprised to see Spider-Man standing there with a little girl in his arms and another clinging to his leg.

Christine was surprised and exclaimed, "Peter! Don't do that again."

Peter said, "Sorry, Christine. But I needed you to help me with something."

"What's with the kids?" Christine asked, knowing that Peter wasn't married and didn't have any children. "Are you babysitting?"

Peter explained, "No, I found them in the middle of the street. I couldn't find their parents, and I wanted to know if they were in good health. And you were the only doctor I could think of."

Christine looked at the kids and sighed; she knew that she didn't have any actual patients who needed her urgently, so she had a few moments to help out. She kept them in the closet while she ran a few standard tests that she would do on all of her patients.

"Well, despite the strange pale skin on the older one, I'd say that they're as fit as can be," Christine reported to Peter. Peter was relieved to hear that Elsa and Anna had started to play and giggle. "What are you gonna do now?"

"I can't really do much," said Peter as he shrugged, gesturing to the children. "I'll take them to child services or something... Is it cold in here?" He started to rub his arms and noticed Christine was also getting cold. "You guys have an AC in the closet?"

"You kidding?" Christine asked. "The AC is never this cold." She was shocked when she saw a snowflake pass her face. "When was the last time it snowed in July?"

Peter was taken aback by the sudden flurry of a dozen snowflakes swirling around them. He instinctively glanced at the little girl who was standing next to him, and they both looked for the origin of this unexpected snowfall.

They were coming from Elsa.

Elsa waved her hands around and played with Anna, who was holding a handful of snow. Peter and Christine were also jumping to conclusions about why they were alone on the street. They thought Elsa might be a mutant.

Most mutants only get their powers around puberty, and Elsa was definitely too young to be going through that since she was easily three years old. But they came to an easy conclusion that this was probably why they were abandoned. Because they had abilities, or Elsa had abilities and they figured so did Anna.

"So, they are Mutants?" Christine took the guess.

Peter knelt down in front of Elsa and was surprised when she reached out and took his hand; her hand felt warm, unlike it had been making snow just moments before.

Peter said, "Guess so," and locked eyes with Elsa without breaking his gaze. He said, "You're quite a special little girl, aren't you?"

Elsa only giggled as she started playing with his web shooter, sending a strand at the wall. Peter chuckled and decided to let her have some fun; he handed her one of his Web shooters. He then watched as they played with the strands while he backed off to talk to Christine.

"So, now what do we do?" Christine asked. "Can you bring them to Charles?"

"No, Charles has enough on his plate right now with rebuilding the school," Peter said sadly. The School for Gifted Youngsters had been recently attacked by Kang and was completely annihilated. "Not to mention he deals with kids, not babies." He sighed when he looked at the girls and was worried about what would happen to them. "And if I were to bring them to an orphanage, there's a likelihood that some government agency or AIM or someone would come after them."

"Then what can we do?" Christine asks.

Peter sighed as he leaned against the wall and wondered what to do next. He asked, "Could you help me with something else?"

"Help you out with what exactly?" Christine wondered.

"How about helping me out with keeping an eye on them until we can work out the adoption issues?" he asks her.

Christine was shocked when she heard that he wanted to adopt those two girls. "Are you sure about this?"

"Not entirely," Peter said with a chuckle. "But I can convince myself by this time tomorrow." He added with another chuckle. "Great, making dad jokes already."

"You've been making them for years; it's just official now." Christine was sorry to tell him.

"So that means you'll help?" Peter asks her.

Christine sighed and shrugged at the idea. "I'll see what I can do, but it'll take more than me."

Peter assured her he had a literal network of people who would stand up for him. He was confident the Avengers would help too if he needed them.

CHAPTER 9

Heal What Has Been Hurt

And that's how everything started.

Fortunately, Stark came to their rescue and helped them create a convincing background story. Since Elsa and Anna were so young and didn't really comprehend the situation they were in, no one questioned them much. After the hard part was over, Peter began the process of adopting the two girls, and many of his friends and acquaintances, including Tony, Susan Storm, and Christine, helped him out with the adoption process.

To ensure that Peter and the girls could adjust to their new life, Stark loaned him some money so that he could move into a bigger apartment. Tony even offered Peter a job as head of his science department, so he could spend more time at home with his family. This was a big relief to Peter, who was struggling to make ends meet and would need more so he could provide for the two girls.

When it came to finding a babysitter for certain times, Peter turned to Doreen Green, also known as Squirrel Girl. Doreen was a mutant with powers of her own, so she was no stranger to being around people with special abilities like Elsa's. Although Doreen had never babysat before, she was up for the challenge and did a great job of taking care of Elsa and Anna and made it a service for herself to look after other children.

In the end, everything worked out for Peter, Elsa, and Anna. With the help of his friends, he was able to provide a safe and loving home for the two sisters. They were finally able to settle down and enjoy their new life together, knowing that they had a family that loved and cared for them.

A FEW YEARS LATER...

Peter had been living alone in an apartment building for quite some time. Every day, he would swing and land on the roof of the building, feeling the wind blowing through his hair. But as he entered the apartment, he would feel a sense of loneliness that was almost unbearable. It was just a place to sleep, and there was no warmth or love in it.

However, everything changed when he adopted two girls named Anna and Elsa. They brought a new meaning to his life, and the apartment was no longer just a place to sleep. It had become a home filled with love, laughter, and warmth. The girls had become an integral part of his life, and he was grateful for them every single day.

Peter's story wasn't unique. Many kids were showing up around the world without any origin except for their names. Dr. Strange adopted a young girl named Asha and made her his apprentice as she had a knack for sorcery. She became close to the Parker family and saw Elsa and Anna as sisters.

A strange house appeared in the woods near the X-Mansion with an entire family of Mutant-like powers and abilities. The Guardians encountered strange aliens and civilizations that seemed to pop out of nowhere over space or even Hawaii. Most of the heroes nowadays have a kid of their own that they discovered in some strange location throughout the world.

Christine never lost touch with Peter after everything that went on. She would regularly visit the family to make sure that Elsa was not in any harm due to her powers. But she was happy to say that Elsa was in perfect health.

When Peter changed into his normal clothes, he hid his Spider-Man suit in his backpack before making his way downstairs. He entered the complex and made his way downstairs to reach his apartment. When he unlocked the door, he saw that Doreen had begun cleaning up the table.

"Hey, Doreen." Peter sighed as he placed his bag on a hook. "I can take care of that; you are off the hook."

"Nah, I got it, I'll clean this up before I go," Doreen promised and gestured to the doorway.

"Any problems?" Peter wondered.

"Just a little mishap with Elsa's powers, but nothing a professional like me can't handle," Doreen promised.

"What kind of mishap?" Peter was a little worried to hear.

Doreen wasn't sure how to explain it and gestured for Peter to follow. When Peter followed and entered the kid's playroom, he was surprised the entire room was covered in snow. Elsa was now currently ten with Anna now going on seven. The room was filled with snow and was even covered with a small ice-like lake in the middle of the room. Anna was giggling as they slid down a slide that was made entirely out of snow and ice.

"Tickle bumps!" Anna cheered as she flew into a pile of snow followed by Elsa.

"Oh, wow." Peter had to admit, this wasn't something he didn't really expected. But he saw Elsa was cautious and put snow everywhere to keep them from harm. "Okay, I can take it from here. You can go, Doreen. Thanks again."

"No problem," Dorreen said as she made her leave.

Peter watched as his girls were still unaware of his prescience and were even beginning to make a snowman. "Hey, girls!"

Elsa and Anna turned in surprise to see Peter and Chester. "Dad!" Elsa cried as she ran to hug her father.

"Daddy's back!" Anna cheered as she ran over and grabbed Peter by the leg to hug him.

"Looks like you guys missed me." Peter chuckled as he bent down and eyed the winter wonderland Elsa made. "So, seems you girls have been busy."

"Sorry." Elsa blushed as she was playing with her braided hair. "It was really an accident at first."

"Nah, it looks like you were being safe," Peter said as he felt the snow and saw it wasn't as cold as it should really be. "But we should really talk to Tony about getting you your own snow space to practice your powers in. I don't think it's safe to keep this up in our home. One accident, and we could burn the building down with a socket shortening out."

"Okay." Elsa agreed.

"Okay, Doreen said you girls had dinner, so I think it's time for bed." Peter said, noticing the time. "You gotta be up for school, and I need to get some sleep. Daddy had to fight Kraven and the Lizard today."

"Did you beat them up?" Anna asked as Peter picked up the girls and made it towards their bedroom.

"I try not to just beat them up," Peter explained how to be a hero to Anna. "Connors needed me to help him, he isn't in control of his mind. But Kraven? He is a crazy hunter who wants to be the best."

"Do you think that we could be heroes one day?" Elsa asked as she jumped into bed.

Peter chuckled and wasn't exactly thrilled by the question. But it was bound to come eventually. "One day. But you need to learn to control these powers and know their limits like I did. You have powers and with great power..."

"Comes great responsibility." Elsa finished the saying, knowing what her dad was thinking.

"What about me?" Anna asks. "I don't have powers. How can I be a hero?"

Peter sighed as he tucked Anna in. "Well, Uncle Tony doesn't have powers, right? Neither does your Aunt Nat, Uncle Clint. A lot of heroes don't have powers, and they still use their heads. Nat can fight, maybe she can start teaching you. That won't just help you be a hero, but protect yourself."

"What about superhero costumes?" Elsa asks.

Peter chuckled and saw these kids were getting too engrossed in the idea. "Okay, how about we save this conversation for a later day? You kids got school in the morning."

Elsa and Anna started to jump into bed and Peter was about to turn off the lights when Elsa called out. "Hey, Dad?" He turned to face his daughter. "Are people afraid of us?"

Peter wondered what she was talking about. "What do you mean? Who would be scared of you?"

"Doreen said that the X-Men fight people scared of people with powers," Anna explained to her dad.

Peter sighed and knew that was going to have to come up. He walked over and took a seat between the two of them. "Look...there are some people out there who are scared because we have powers."

"Why?" Elsa asks.

Peter wondered how to explain it. "Well, people fear what they don't understand. And they're especially scared of the idea of someone holding more power than someone else. Some people will want that kind of power for themselves so that they can hurt others, while a few are more worried we will hurt them."

"But we would never do that," Elsa promised.

Peter chuckled and leaned to hold her hand. "I know that. You know that. But people aren't comforted by words or even sometimes actions. I'm Spider-Man, I protect people everywhere, but they still think I'm dangerous."

"That's not fair," Anna stated in a grumpy tone.

"No. it's not." Peter agreed with her. "That's why we need to keep showing them we're not all bad people. And one day...you'll have the chance to show them what you can do. But for now, you just need to worry about being kids. Because it's my job to protect you. And I will."

Peter then got up and walked over to Anna, pecking her on the head and tucking her in. He caressed some of her hair before turning off the lamp next to her bed.

"If happiness was a tangible thing, It would be you." Peter started to slowly sing them a lullaby. They'd usually fall asleep as children when he sang, and he just loved to watch them drift to sleep. "If you'd have told me the feeling you'd bring, I'd think it untrue." Then he started to undo the braids in her hair so that she could sleep peacefully. "And people search for a wonder like you. All of their lives, you still amaze me after all this time." He then made his way over to Elsa, who held her hair up for him to undo for her. "You pull me in like some kind of wind. Mesmerized by the hold I'm in." He then helped Elsa get tucked in. "Leave you here, I don't wanna, I wanna. Promise as one does I, I will protect you at all costs." Then he tucked the blanket in and pecked her head. "Keep you safe here in my arms I, I will protect you at all costs. At all costs. What's pain? When I look at you? No way I could explain you, even if tried to I'll never dream like used to do. If someone tried to hurt you, I don't see how that could happen. I'd fight for you in ways you can't imagine." He caressed her cheek as he moved some hair out of her face and watched her drift off. "Felt this, no, I haven't, I hope. It would be all right to stay right here beside you. And promise as one does I, I will protect you at all costs. Keep you safe here in my arms."

Peter started to walk over and strolled his way over to the doorway. He then looked back and saw they were slowly drifting off. He looked over and saw Anna was drifting and even slightly snoring, which he only chuckled at.

"I will protect you at all costs. At all costs. If you're ever feeling like you're lost, I'll come find you. Man all fronts, there's no ocean I won't swim across to be right by you." He loved these girls with all of his heart. They were his heart, if he lost them he didn't know what he would do. "And not just once, here and now I swear on my response, I'll remind you. And promise as one does I, I will protect you at all costs. Keep you safe here in my arms." Then he started to slowly open the door to their bedroom. "I, I will protect you at all costs." Then he started to slowly close the door when he stepped into the hallway. "At all costs..."

"Night, Dad," Elsa said as she drifted off to sleep.

"Night, Daddy..." Anna slurred as she was next to drift to sleep.

Peter made his way over to the living room to sit and relax for a moment when his phone rang. He saw it was Christine and wondered what was wrong. When he answered, he heard a sigh of relief.

"Oh, good. I saw on the news you were fighting Kraven and Lizard." Christine told him. "Just wanted to make sure you got home okay."

"Yeah, I'm fine," Peter said as he groaned. "My hip is a little sore; Kraven gashed it with his spear."

"You alright? Do you need me to come over?" Christine asks in shock.

"No, no, I'm fine," Peter promised.

"Alright. How are the girls?" Christine asks him.

"They're great. Elsa is getting a little extreme with these powers, but she's got a good grasp on them." Peter said as he approached the kitchen. "Anything exciting today on your end?"

"Not much. A car crash left a gash in a young girl, but we got this new girl around. She came from the Madrigal family. Her powers help her cook anything to heal injuries." Christine tells him and can hear Peter questioning it in silence. "Yeah, how does that work?"

"Well, is it her who's magical, or is it the food she cooks?" Peter wonders.

"I have no idea." Christine chuckled. "Sorry, I guess I just missed you and the girls, I had to find some excuse to call."

"Well, you know, I and the girls were going to go upstate for Morgan Stark's sixth birthday party, you...wanna maybe join us?" Peter asks, not entirely sure if he had just asked Christine out on a date or not.

He waited for Christine to respond and waited for her response. "Sure. It's a date."

Before Peter could realize what he said, he was already set on saying something. "Great, see you then." Then when he hung up, that was when realized what she said. "Wait, what?"

That weekend, Peter was getting the girls ready to head out so they could meet the others. Tony lived out with the family in a cabin upstate, figuring it was the best place for his family and a place where he could keep himself and his family separate from the life of superheroes and his home life.

"Girls, we gotta get going!" Peter called out as he knew Christine had arrived and was waiting out at the car.

"Coming!" Anna called as she ran down the stairs wearing a sunflower dress with her hair down in pigtails.

"Where's your sister?" Peter wonders.

Elsa came running down the stairs and was wearing an ice-blue dress. "I'm here! I'm ready."

Peter then grabbed his keys and started to head on out as he locked the door behind him and the girls. The three of them made their way down where they saw Christine was waiting for them. And the girls immediately got excited seeing their favorite aunt. Don't tell Natasha.

"Aunty Christine!" Elsa and Anna cried as they ran over to hug their aunt.

"Hey, girls!" Christine was as happy to see them as they were to see her. "Oh, it's been so long! You girls are getting so big!"

"Ready to get going?" Peter asked, swinging his keys in his fingers.

Taking the drive out to Stark's cabin, things were quiet and peaceful, with some small talk between the girls and Christine catching up with everything that had been going on since last they saw each other.

"I started taking dance lessons," Anna tells Christine.

"Really? What brought that along?" Christine asks.

"She watched a video on YouTube and thought it could be a nice way to pass the time while I'm out working or can't get home on time," Peter confessed as he kept driving them down the forest. "I think it's pretty sweet."

"What about you, Elsa?" Christine wonders. "What are you up to?"

"Nothing." Elsa shrugged.

"She did try out for choir, but she got too nervous," Peter admitted.

"What?" Christine asked as she looked back to Elsa. "You got nervous? Elsa, you have an amazing voice. I remember hearing you guys sing together as kids. You have nothing to be nervous about."

"I...I don't know." Elsa seemed too shy about the idea as she curled up. She didn't like to get out of her comfort zone.

"Well, we'll discuss it later. We're here." Peter said as they arrived at the party. They exited the car and approached the other heroes and kids who were with their parents for Morgan's birthday. "Tony. Pepper."

"Peter!" Pepper was happy to see him as she walked over to hug him. "Oh, it is so good to see you."

"Hey, Parker." Tony greeted him. "You guys have any trouble getting up here?"

"No, it was smooth sailing. But getting me out of the city was easier than I thought." Peter admitted.

"Yeah, trust me, assuring him the city won't die with him out of the city for one day was hard," Christine stated as she walked over and shook Stark's hand. "Tony."

"Christine. Hey, didn't expect Pete to be bringing a plus one." Tony admitted.

"Yeah, I didn't have much going on, and I do love spending time with the girls," Christine admitted and even gave Peter a pat on the shoulder. "And Peter could use the help from time to time."

"Well, with everyone here, you really just have to worry about someone here," Tony stated, looking over to the heroes. "Let the city be for the day. They'll be fine."

Oh, Tony Stark could eat his words.

As a rift in the multiverse was formed and ripped open by the red construction of a knife, which then shrank down and returned to its original location of origin, a Red Lantern ring emerged. It was followed closely by someone carrying the ring - none other than Spider-Man, wearing a brand-new suit. This suit was none like any other - it was the Red Lantern Suit. Primarily black in color, with a striking red spider symbol and red eye lenses, it evoked a much darker look for Spider-Man than most other suits. He was now known as the Red Spider amongst the Spider Society.

Following him was another figure, a face from one of the first realities - Web-Man, who was also the murderer of Lex Luthor. He wore a new suit that followed a blue and red color scheme. The body, head, outer arms, upper hip, and knee-high boots were blue, while the inner arms, upper legs, and outer torso were matt red. The colors were in a bright tone, especially among the blue coloring. The eye lenses were black on the outline and white in the middle.

As they both exited the portal, they began to scan the reality they had landed in to make sure they had landed in the right place. The surroundings were unfamiliar, and they wanted to ensure that they were exactly where they intended to be.

"Is this the reality?" Red-Spider asks.

Web-Man started to scan the dimensions and found that they were indeed where they should be. "Yes. We have reached the right BRANCH." He then activated a map to start to look around the dimension. "And all we need to do now is follow the Mirror's directions."

"I can't believe we need to follow directions from a mirror." Red Spider growled. "Where is this cure?"

"Just follow me," Web-Man tells him as he shoots out a web. "And try not to draw attention. That's been the mistakes that brought the Sorceror down on us."

Peter was getting some food for himself and the girls and watched as Elsa and Anna were hanging out with the other kids. He sighed and was happy to see them being able to be kids when they're around people they're comfortable with.

"The kids seem to be having a good time," Christine said as she walked over.

Peter chuckled as he agreed. "Yeah, I am just waiting for someone to ask Elsa to start making snow for them to play with."

"That's happened before?" Christine asked.

"Yeah, not many know about her powers, but those who do love to see her use her powers," Peter explained with a chuckle. "That's why they're always confused about why other people are scared of people like us."

Christine smiled and leaned to give him a small hug. "They are lucky to have you."

"I am lucky to have them." Peter corrected with a smile. He then looked over to Christine and smiled. "And they are lucky to have you. I don't really get a lot of time between them and my job, so it's nice that they have a mother figure." Then he realized what he said and looked at Christine. "Uh, did I make this weird?"

Christine chuckled and saw how that sounded. "Yeah, a little. But... I get the gesture." She then looked over towards the girls and smiled. "They've been a light in my life as well."

Peter then looked at Christine and was starting to grow some courage to ask her something. "Hey, Christine, I was wondering...you wanna...maybe..."

"Yeah?" Christine felt she knew what he was going to ask and was waiting to hear him ask.

"Well...if you aren't doing anything tonight, maybe..." Peter wasn't sure how to go forward.

Christine sighed and decided to go ahead and do it herself. "I'd love to."

Peter was now lost. "How did you...?"

"I took a shot." Christine shrugged.

Peter smild and was actually pretty excited. "Okay. Tonight?"

"8. I'll make the reservation." Christine promised.

That night, Peter was so nervous about going out that he had flashed between a dozen outfits. Each time he switched outfits he would head over to Elsa and Anna to seek their approval. They were sitting down and coming down from their sugar high from the cake and other foods they ate at the party.

"How does this look?" Peter asked his daughters, as he showed off his latest outfit which was a simple red sweater over a white button-up shirt, jeans.

"You look very handsome daddy!" Anna said happily.

"Auntie Christine's gonna love it!" Elsa was just as excited as her sister. Seeing their dad so excited made them happy since they saw that he put so much time into them that he never really had time for a real personal life.

"You're sure you guys are ok with this?" Peter sat down between his kids. "I can cancel my date and spend the night with you two; you know just the three of us against the world."

"We're totally fine with it!" Elsa argued.

"Yeah! We love Auntie Christine!" Anna agreed. "And isn't it rude to cancel now?"

"Yeah, don't make me give you real cold feet." Elsa dared with a chuckle, she definitely picked up Peter's dad sense of humor.

"Ok, ok, if you guys insist you're fine with it." Peter smiled gratefully at his daughters. Their guidance was exactly what he needed to calm his nerves. "Thank you, girls. You both have such big hearts, I am so happy that I have you in my life. I just don't want you to think I'm forcing Christine to be your mom."

As he finished getting ready, Peter contemplated the evening ahead. The thought of spending quality time with Christine filled him with warmth. He wanted to show her how much she meant to him and how grateful he was to have her in his life.

"We would be okay with that," Elsa admitted.

"Is she going to be our mom?" Anna sounded excited for the answer.

Peter chucked and saw they were getting a little too invested. "We'll have to see."

Then there was a knock at the door and Peter stood up to answer and saw it was Doreen here to babysit for him. "Doreen. Thanks for coming. Sorry for the short notice."

"No, it's okay," Doreen promised as she strolled inside. "Not much going on down at the Mansion anyway, so I was free." She then looked at Peter's outfit. "Wow, Christine is in for a fancy Peter. Didn't know it had it in you."

"Well, again, thanks," Peter said as he went to get his keys. "They should already be ready to pass out, they ate so much candy and sugar at the party."

Peter was now adorned in his sleek Spider-Man suit, swung through the city, his heart pounding with excitement. As he gracefully landed on the rooftop, Peter quickly changed into his civilian attire.

With a nervous grin, he made his way to the restaurant where they had planned to meet. The soft glow of candlelight and the aroma of delicious food filled the air, setting the perfect ambiance for their special evening.

Inside the restaurant, Peter spotted Christine, her radiant smile captivating him instantly. He approached her table, feeling a mix of anticipation and butterflies in his stomach. "Hi, Christine," he greeted, his voice revealing a hint of nervousness.

"Peter!" Christine's eyes sparkled with joy as she stood up to greet him. "You look amazing!" she complimented, causing a blush to creep across Peter's cheeks.

As they settled into their seats, Peter couldn't help but steal glances at his date. The conversation flowed effortlessly as they shared stories and laughed together. Peter marveled at Christine's intelligence and compassion, finding himself more captivated by her with every passing moment.

Their meal arrived, and they savored the delectable dishes while engaging in playful banter. Peter found himself feeling more comfortable, his worries about maintaining his secret identity fading away in Christine's presence. For this one night, he could just be Peter, the ordinary guy.

In the midst of their conversation, a commotion erupted outside the restaurant. Peter's Spidey senses tingled, alerting him to potential danger. Excusing himself for a moment, he rushed to the window, discreetly checking the situation.

A group of masked criminals were causing havoc on the streets below. Peter knew he had a responsibility to protect the city, but he didn't want to leave Christine alone. With a heavy heart, he made a quick decision.

Returning to the table, Peter explained the situation to Christine. "I'm so sorry, Christine, but duty calls. There's trouble outside, and I need to help."

Christine's eyes widened with understanding, her admiration for Peter growing even more. "Of course, Peter. Go and do what you need to do. I'll be here waiting for you," she assured him, her voice filled with unwavering support.

Peter smiled gratefully, his heart swelling with affection for Christine. He quickly slipped out of the restaurant, leaving her behind, but not without promising to return as soon as he could.

As Spider-Man swung into action, battling the criminals with his incredible agility and web-slinging prowess, he couldn't help but think about Christine. Her understanding and acceptance of his dual life only solidified his feelings for her.

After successfully foiling the criminals' plans, Spider-Man returned to the restaurant, slightly disheveled but with a triumphant smile on his face. Christine was waiting, patient, and supportive. With his suit securely hidden underneath his regular clothes once again, Peter returned to Christine at the restaurant.

As he came back, Peter couldn't help but admire Christine's grace and intelligence. Remembering his daughters' advice, he complimented her on her elegant dress, and a blush spread across her cheeks.

Throughout the evening, Peter and Christine laughed, shared stories, and discovered common interests. They talked about their careers, their dreams, and their experiences. The more they spoke, the deeper their connection grew.

As the night came to a close, Peter walked Christine home, his heart full of joy. They stopped at her doorstep, and Peter mustered the courage to speak from his heart.

"Christine, tonight has been incredible," Peter began, his voice filled with sincerity. "I've been through a lot, the constant enemies , the girls, and being Spider-Man can be challenging, but you make everything feel right. You bring a light into my life that I've only had when I was around the girls."

Christine smiled, her eyes reflecting the warmth and affection she felt for Peter. "Peter, you're an amazing person, and being with you feels like coming home. I'm grateful to have you in my life too. I am glad you decided to dump the responsibility of the girls on me that night."

"In my defense, you are the only doctor I knew who could handle kids." Peter defended.

With a gentle touch, Peter leaned in and kissed Christine, sealing their blossoming love. At that moment, they both knew that this was just the beginning of a beautiful journey together.

But then Peter's senses then alerted him once again of danger in the area. He looked over and wondered what was going on and even watched as a car went flying down the street and a lot of people were running away from something.

"What is going on?" Christine asked as she and Peter began to walk over to approach the street to see what was going on.

The scene that unfolded before them left Christine and Peter were both bewildered and confused at the sight before them. Against a backdrop of chaos and destruction, they saw a young girl with long blonde hair running for her life, chased by a man in a suit that Peter recognized as an alternative version of his own. The man was wielding a ring that emitted red beams, which created bizarre and dangerous constructs that wreaked havoc all around them. To Peter's horror, the man even created a cage construct that trapped the young girl inside.

Christine turned to Peter for help, but to her surprise, he had already vanished. Moments later, she saw Spider-Man swinging out of a nearby alley and heading straight for the danger. The superhero moved with lightning speed, firing a web at the Red Spider's face, causing him to be temporarily blinded. This allowed Spider-Man to quickly dismantle the cage construct, freeing the young girl from captivity.

As the girl fell to the ground, Peter caught her with ease and lowered her gently to the pavement. "I got ya!" he said reassuringly, as the young girl looked up at him with big, tearful eyes. "You okay?"

"I'm fine." The young girl promised in relief.

"What's your name?" Peter asked her.

"Rapunzel." She introduced herself.

"Rapunzel. Okay, you know why this guy is after you?" Peter asks.

"You mean the two of them?" Rapunzel asks.

"Two?" Peter wasn't sure he was following.

That was when Web-Man came down swinging and kicked Peter backward, crashing him into a nearby car. Web-Man then looked back over to Rapunzel and shot out a web to capture her, only to be stopped when Christine threw a bike in his path, stopping him from capturing the girl. She then ran over and grabbed Rapunzel, trying to get her to safety.

"Come on!" Christine tried to lead her to safety, only for a bus to be picked up and tossed in their direction. "Look out!"

Christine was trying to protect the young girl from the sudden danger that had come their way. A bus was flying towards them, and Christine jumped in front of the girl to shield her from the impact. But just as the bus was about to crush them, it was stopped in its tracks. The entire bus was now glowing red, and it was being lifted up in the air. It was then that they realized that Lilly Maximoff-Parker, AKA the Witch, had caught the bus with her powers.

With the bus now in her control, Lilly decided to take revenge on Web-Man. She threw the bus towards him with full force, crushing him with it. Though it wouldn't kill him, it would undoubtedly hurt him a lot. After that, Lilly began to rip the bus apart with her magic, tearing it into pieces. She then threw these pieces directly towards Red Spider.

Red Spider, however, was quick to react. He used his ring's powers to create a shield and then created fire to throw towards Lilly. But Lilly was not one to be defeated so easily. She used her Chaos Magic to form a shield around herself, protecting her from the fire.

Christine was frustrated by the situation. "One day I only asked for one normal day," She stated, and now all this chaos was unfolding before her.

But it was not over yet. Lilly had stopped shielding herself and was now on the attack. She sent a blast of Chaos Magic towards Red Spider, who used his ring's power to create spikes and threw them in her direction.

Lilly dodged the spikes, but she missed the incoming bus that slammed into her. The impact was so strong that she crashed into the ground and lost consciousness.

Web-Man then looked around and was furious at what he saw. "Where is the girl?"

"I thought you had her!" Red Spider stated.

Christine and Rapunzel were trying to escape from the chaos that had erupted around them. They thought they had managed to flee safely and were on their way to Christine's house, where they hoped to find refuge. Peter, who had crawled away from the fight to make sure the girls were okay, was following them at a distance, trying to stay hidden.

As they were walking, Rapunzel suddenly felt a sharp pain in her back, and she realized that Red Spider had caught up with them. A red beam came out of nowhere and latched onto her, pulling her towards Red Spider. Peter quickly webbed onto Rapunzel and started to pull her back towards him and Christine, but Red Spider's grip was too strong.

Just when they thought all was lost, another portal opened up, and from it emerged Peter Supreme and Spider-Gwen. They swung their way to the scene, ready to fight. Peter Supreme created a chainsaw construct with his mystical sorcerer powers and used it to cut through the rope construct that Red Spider was using to hold Rapunzel.

Gwen, who was becoming used to the chaos, quickly slid under Red Spider's reforming constructs and webbed a piece of metal to throw at him, forcing him to go on the defensive and stop his attack.

Peter Supreme, after looking back at the chaos, noticed his multiverse versions were present in the scene. Christine was there, and he figured one of his versions was dating her. But when he looked at Rapunzel, he realized he didn't know who she was. He couldn't remember ever meeting her, let alone getting her name.

"Do I know you?" He asked, confused.

Rapunzel wasn't sure what to say when they then saw Web-Man swinging his way over. "Well, well, if it isn't the Sorceror and his pets."

"Pets?" Gwen felt insulted.

"Yeah, you have been causing a lot of chaos for us throughout the multiverse." Web-Man started to monologue. "But we're here for the cure."

"Cure?" Peter Supreme asked, looking back to the girl. "What did you say your name was?"

"Rapunzel." Rapunzel introduced herself again.

Peter Supreme used a small spell to detect if she had any magic, and she indeed had magical healing properties. "Oh, god."

"What?" Gwen asked.

"Figured if the Witch wasn't going to help, we would need someone new. Found her in an orphanage," Web-Man stated. "It was just godforsaken luck nobody tried to cut her hair yet."

"You're not getting the girl." Peter Supreme promised, summoning more power to defend her.

"Oh, it's cute that you think you can stop us." Web-Man scoffed.

Then out of nowhere, a giant bubble formed around them, and they were thrown into the ground, followed by Red Spider throwing them into a building. Rapunzel saw she was left alone with them being taken down and took off running to try and escape.

"Catch her," Web-Man demanded.

As Red Spider took off to pursue Rapunzel, the Cloak of Levitation, being the only conscious one among the heroes, tried to wake them up. However, as it is a magical cloak, it can never truly be unconscious. After a few seconds of no response, the Cloak saw the young girl running past the building where they were thrown. Without wasting any time, it flew off on its own to save her and thwart the Spider Society's plan to capture her.

As the Cloak flew towards Rapunzel, it noticed that Red Spider was hot on their trail. Determined to save the girl's life, the Cloak picked her up and started to fly faster than the Red Spider could chase them. Red Spider growled in frustration when he saw that he couldn't catch up to them. He then decided to use his powers and grabbed several cars, throwing them all into the air using the Red Lantern ring.

Red Spider summoned his Red Lantern ring and grabbed several cars, throwing them into the air. The Cloak of Levitation tried its best to avoid the flying cars while carrying Rapunzel, but the situation quickly turned dire. In a split second, a red beam from Red Spider's ring turned into an anvil and crushed the Cloak. This caused the Cloak to release Rapunzel and crash onto the ground. The young girl grabbed onto the edge of the building she was dropped from in an attempt to save herself.

Meanwhile, Lilly woke up and saw the chaos happening. She knew she had to help Rapunzel and conjured up a spell to throw hellfire toward Red Spider. The villain shielded himself, but this gave Rapunzel an opportunity to escape. However, Red Spider was still intent on capturing the young girl, and Lilly had to keep him at bay.

Peter Supreme, who was the first to wake up, ran outside and saw Rapunzel falling from the building. He quickly used his magic to create a portal that would send Rapunzel right into his grasp. Unfortunately, he wasn't quick enough, and Web-Man ended up kicking him out of the way and throwing him into a nearby car, crushing it.

Web-Man finally caught Rapunzel and saw that Red Spider was still busy fending off Lilly with their magical abilities. The villain was distracted, and Web-Man saw an opportunity to escape with Rapunzel. He turned and opened a breach back to his home universe. Rapunzel fought to try and escape his grasp, but nothing worked.

The Cloak of Levitation freed itself and flew over to wrap itself around Red Spider's head, blinding him temporarily. Lilly saw this as an opportunity and shot a blast of energy to hit Red Spider. The Cloak moved out of the way to allow the blast of magic to hit him and allowed Red Spider to be knocked unconscious.

Gwen started to make a net out of her webbing to try and capture Red Spider, but it was too late as Web-Man opened another breach and escaped with the villain. Despite their best efforts, the team lost the battle.

Lilly flew down to the ground and kicked the nearest wrecked car in anger. "Oh, come on!" She then used her magic to melt the same car. "Every time that we get close, they escape!"

"Or...die," Gwen muttered.

"Uh, hi," Peter said as he and Christine exited the building. "What the hell is going on? Are you guys visiting from the multiverse?"

"Yes, that is us." Peter Supreme confirmed. "We are trying to stop these creatures from killing the multiverse."

"Doing a swell job there," Christine stated sarcastically.

"We aren't having a good week." Gwen sighed. "So, what are they going to do next if they heal Taliah?"

"My guess? They are going to go right back to conquering the multiverse." Peter Supreme sighed and looked to the sky. "Watcher!?"

The Watcher then reappeared and groaned from his ears. "Come on, you know that I can hear you anywhere. You don't need to shout."

"Sorry. Just irritated." Peter Supreme apologized. "You know their next heading?"

"Yes, but..." The Watcher looked off in confusion. "They aren't appearing to be going anywhere that can help them conquer the universe."

"Okay, where are they going?" Lily asks.

"Dimension-140. But the only thing there is..." The Watcher then gasped when he finally figured it out.

DARK BRANCHES:

Peter H stood there as he watched Rapunzel, the beautiful princess with long golden hair, being strapped up in chains and lifted off the ground. A machine was brought in and her hair was carefully placed into it, with the intention of extracting her magical powers.

Peter H realized that he was unable to use the Infinity Stones on her, as he was from a different dimension altogether. As he looked on, he could see the fear in Rapunzel's eyes, yet she seemed to comprehend what the captors wanted from her. Web-Man had confessed to everything, leaving Rapunzel in a precarious situation.

"I won't help you," Rapunzel promises him. "You will never get me to help."

"She's right." Web-Man was sorry to say. "We need her to willingly sing the incarnation if we want her healing properties to work."

As Peter H and Web-Man discussed a plan to heal their injured teammate, they realized that they needed Rapunzel's cooperation to make it work. Unfortunately, she was reluctant to sing the incarnation they needed, making the situation seem hopeless. However, Peter H was not one to give up easily and began to ponder a solution. Suddenly, he turned his attention to the Magic Mirror that had been summoned using the power of the Infinity Stones. With a determined look on his face, he spoke the words that would activate the mirror.

"Mirror, Mirror, of doom, find me a dimension that still has...the Red Room!" His companions watched in anticipation, wondering what kind of plan he had in mind.
