Gensokyo, the sealed world of magic and fantasy. The Land of Illusions where the humans and monsters alike dubbed, Yokai, live in harmony within its borders.

Many incidents have taken place in this world - no doubt more yet to come - and some of them were caused by former residents of the outside world. No one really knows how it's done, but from time to time people, artifacts and even mansions have found their way in this secluded world. Some say it's caused by the Gap Youkai, some say they've been spirited away, but nevertheless, none ever seemed to have witnessed the event, when one crosses over the border to this world. People have only imagined what such an event would look like in their minds.

That was, until this one particular morning. The one that would be remembered as the Morning of the Western Impact, especially when there's a certain outsider who got transported into the world of Gensokyo.

The Shrine Madian who has a sympathy who can be an extream grump but loving rich, and the bearer and wielder of the Hakurei Shrine. Who, along with other madians, magicians, humans, and Yokai, absolved the Incidents, Scarlet Mist, the Spring Snow, and Eternal Night plus other incidents. The maiden who never knew the meaning of the outside dangers of the world, Gensokyo's favorite hero, the over-persuasive, overbearing, melodramatic, downright insane, and powerful maiden...

"Marisa!" Reimu Hakurei yelled, eyeing her witchy friend. The snotty mischievous but humble witch, who sat calm and relaxed inside the shrine, now suddenly jumped at the sudden interruption and beheld Reimu glaring at her with an annoyed frown. "Just what are you doing?"

"Oh, hey Reimu!" She quickly hid the bag in the table and chuckled nervously. "Hehe... N- Nothing. Just stole Patchy's books like the usual-ez..." She said smiling. Reimu frowned at Marisa even more. "...and monologing to myself to figure out if there was any incidents-ez..."

"Well, cut it out! It's really annoying! As we are about to head into the Forest of Magic, because Cirno spread a rumor, one has she witnessed this Yokai thing that was roaming around."

"Sigh! Fine... let's hope it doesn't cause an incident."

Besides, that's my line in the story! Ahem! Now, where were we..? Ah, right back to the point! Reimu and Marisa had wandered into the dark focal point for all things evil, dubbed, Forest of Magic. A dark forest filled with all manner of beasts, Yokai, and dangers, where the forest's environment is extremely hazardous to both humans and youkai and both kinds typically also find the place uncomfortable. A place where Mushrooms and magicians live in this forest for the sake of increasing their magical powers with these hallucinogenic mushrooms. Also, the place where both Marisa and Alice's houses are located somewhere within the forest near to each other.

Normally a Human with any common sense would avoid this forest, let alone wander into it due the hazards of Mushrooms and wild Yokai roaming in it. But every now and then Reimu and Marisa would brave the forest's dangerous paths and terrible beasts to obtain the very thing she needed...

...A hefty batch of Rinnosuke Morichika's goods in his shop.

"Seriously Reimu, what's with the grumpy little attitude. I don't understand why you come out here." The Witch huffed. "Can't you just buy any luxury item from the market in the Village, like anyone else?" Marisa muttered. "It's really creepy out here... and Rinnosuke is probably busy right now. We could catchup to Alice since we live in separate houses."

"Nah... Remember when Alice was arguing about your mischievous behavior on steal her precious things?"

"At least she's honest with me, but alright-ze. Just hoping that Rinnosuke isn't too busy."

Reimu paused, eyed her witch friends and chuckled nervously. "Eh hehe... Well... That was unforeseeable." She continued onward. "Besides, it turned out alright when I asked Rinnosuke about the goods."

"Thanks to Rinnosuke, at least I can just be loyal to him, while I'll just steal Patchy's books." Reimu frowned at Marisa's remark.

"Well, I'm prepared for anything! I've mastered over multiple spell-cards, all capable of repelling and countering any possible threats!" she said proudly. "This forest will think twice before messing with me, huh!"

"So... Why drag me along-ze?"

"Simple..." she smiled. "Assistants and need of a partner." Marisa eyes widened as he wasn't particularly fond of that notion. "No need to worry, Marisa." she laughed. "With me around you have nothing to worry about-"

CRASH!

"WHAT WAS THAT?!? RUMIA??" She looked out furiously in-contaminating preparation. "DON'T LET HER TRY TO AMBUSH US!!!" Reimu shrieked, rearing backwards and looked around, looking annoyed but is aware of her surroundings. She screamed and ran around blindly. "RUMIA, YOU BETTER NOT TRY TO ATTACK US!"

As soon as Maris rolled her eyes, Reimu used her Stick Wand, looking around to see if Rumia plots an attack.

"'Nothing to worry about' Huh?" Marisa smugly muttered, as she less than gracefully used her broom to fly around and find Rumia, but nowhere she's been seen.

"Relax Reimu! Rumia isn't lurking in the Forest of Magic!" Marisa looked at Reimu with a frown and arms crossed.

"Oh... so she's in Murnzuka..." she chuckled. "Just being on the alert... Squee!" Marisa just rolled his eyes. The two then looked down the dark path where the loud crash was heard.

"What was that?" Marisa now asked nervously.

"I don't know..." Reimu answered. By now she was more curious than afraid. "I'm going to find out!"

"Good! I'll just go to the Scarlet Devil Mansion and..." Marisa didn't have time to finish his line as Reimu dragged her on and continued towards the direction of the noise.

The shrine maiden and her witch friend ventured carefully down the path, keeping their watchful eyes out for anything scary. Twisted, leafless branches hung like skeletal claws, while an eerie wind rustled and moved them in a frightful fashion.

Even when it was daytime, the woods were so thick that not even the sun's rays could pierce through its foliage. Marisa marched the further they ventured, clinging tightly around Reimu as her Stick Wand guided them through the dark magic woods. Reimu has experience various incidents that doesn't make her afraid, but this is one the rare moment where she felt nervous, as she carefully trotted over rocks and broken branches, looking at the numerous eyes that seemed to glare viciously at them from the shadows.

Eventually, they got the spot where the noise had originated. To Reimu's confusion, there didn't seem to anypony there. It was all quiet. Too quiet...

"I don't see anyone... Maybe it was... GAH!" Reimu suddenly tripped over something that lay in front of her, falling hard on her chin. "MARISA! What did I tripped into?"

The witch stopped and looked in the ground. She was awe but is stunned, staring at what Reimu tripped into. "Woah..." Shaking her mind, she looked at Reimu and got her up, eyed the thing she had tripped on. What Marisa saw made his eyes grow even wider. "...wh- what is that thing laying in the ground?" She pointed. Reimu turned her head.

"Hm..? GAH!"

At first she thought it was a Yokai or a magic mushroom in the Forest of Magic, but looking at it more closely she could tell that it wasn't. The thing... The creature that lay lifeless on the ground, looking like it had sleep or got knocked out by an object!

This hairless... 'ape' seemed to be male. He had brown, black streaked hair and clothes that covered the upper and lower parts of his body; blue jeans and purple shirt with light blue jacket. On his feet he wore brown shoes. And socks! White socks with blue stripes. She trotted carefully around him, keeping a safe distance as she looked him over. It's apparently an Human, one that came from the outside world

"Reimu..?" Marisa uttered, carefully approaching the human.

"Is that... an Human from the outside world? This one looked like it was wandering around the Forest of Magic." She leaned her head closer and listened. She could hear faint breathing. She put her ear to his chest and heard a heartbeat. "Whatever the Human was doing around this forest, it's alive." she said with some relief in her voice. She then lowered her Stick-Wand, pointed it at the creature and used her magic. A faint white aura covered the creature for a few seconds and faded the moment Reimu raised her Stick-Wand. "There doesn't seem to be any serious damage around this Human outsider..." she muttered. She then leaned closer to the creature's face and looked at him.

"Be careful, Reimu!" Marisa asked, concerned. "You'll get this Human to wake up any moment now."

"I wonder wh..." Suddenly, the Human's eyes flickered open, causing Reimu and Marisa to jump back in fright. "GAH!! HOLY CRACK ATTICS!!" The human sat up in shock, eyed both Reimu and Marisa, as he shrieked like a scared little boy who's seen an encounter of a girl.

SHRIEK!* "WHAT HAPPENED? WHERE AM I? WHO ARE YOU TWO???" The Human shouted as he quickly backed himself hard against a tree. He breathed quickly, keeping his eyes fixed on an equally surprised Reimu, who simply stood there with her witch companion stunned in shock, seeing the Human alive and is completely unaware on what's going one. "WHY THE HELL AM I IN A FOREST?!"

There was a moment of tense silence as Marisa finally worked up the courage to speak. "It... It's okay! She's not going to harm you!"

Reimu took a small step towards him and introduced herself and Marisa. "My name is Reimu Hakurei. This is Marisa Kirisame, my magician witch friend." Hearing Reimu speak seemed to calm the Human down as he slowed his breathing and gathered his resolve. Reimu took a few more steps towards him, but kept herself at a safe distance. "You are in the Forest of Magic, in the land of Gensokyo."

"Gensokyo?" the human muttered confused. He looked around and realized that he was in fact in a dark forest. The look of disbelief was evident in his eyes. Trying to grasp what he had just been told, he suddenly came to realize that the person in front of him was a person at all, but is somewhat able to pull of magic. "Wait... You... You're... Aren't you..? Wait... This can't be... Why did I... How...?" he struggled.

"A Sheime Marian. A human to be more precise." Reimu said with nervous smile. She could see the confusion in his eyes and wondered if this Human outsider had ever heard of the world of Gensokyo and its inhabitants of Yokais. She nervously cleared her throat, closed her eyes, took a deep breath and smiled as she reintroduced herself again. "Ahem! Like I said, my name is Reimu Hakurei. I am the Shrine Maiden of the Hakurei Shrine. So... What's your name, Human?"

THUMP!

Reimu opened her eyes and looked surprised at the human as he lay passed out on the ground.

"He fainted..." Marisa smirked, as she stood beside him looking at him with a curious and amused expression on his face. "Looks like he's seen too much or those pesky magical mushrooms fizzled out his instincts. Let's bring him back to my house for me and Alice to interview and interrogate this outsider."

"Oh Dear..."
