As the Fields that surround Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry came to meet the edge of the forbidden forest. The students, however, held no real fear of entering the forest. They had been in there on a consistent basis since their first year. The toadlike witch though did not know for what exactly she was in. Every year the announcement that the forbidden forest is off limits occurred at the opening feast and every year Harry found himself in the dark secluded woods. The toad, indeed, kept her distance assuming the worst as students do.

Harry's suspicions were proven correct as they went along their way. The pink clad toad clearly did not know her way in any woods. She was tripping and falling and fumbling with her wand at every little noise in the woods, even common ones. Soon she had her wand on Hermione, "I thought that you were taking me to the secret weapon!" The curly haired Gryffindor which turned and put her hands on her hips. She could barely tolerate the woman on a good day and that was when she had worked enough in advance to control herself. It was another for Harry and Neville lost family fighting the death eaters. She took a calm breath and then, " Are you daft. I thought that you wanted me to take you to it. So, you can follow me or not the choice is yours." Soon the woman was once more silently trailing behind the duo. The trail curved and narrowed at points.

As they passed familiar turns in the path Hermione leading Harry by the hand led the toad into the heart of the forest. The friends both knew what was in the woods, but nothing to be fear unless you intended harm. As they walked Hermione began to call out, "Gwarpy. Gwarpy!" As they walked, the toad-like which hardly the wiser since no one knew aside from them and Dumbledore about Hagrid's half-brother living in the woods.

Thunderous footfalls came towards Harry and Hermione from the trees. Branches breaking and trees bending as the full giant walked towards where he heard Hermione's voice. The familiar sounds of the late spring air did nothing to calm the movement of the foliage surrounding them. Soon they came to the clearing where they first met Gwarp! There stood the giant.

The toad-like witch not amused at all to say the very least turned bitter. She stared between the students and the giant who bent and scooped up Hermione to play. The witch had been through this two times as she and Harry had promised to care for Hagrid's Half-brother while the curt and odious woman forcibly dismissed him. So, Hermione just smiled at the giant. As she knew that he would not intentionally harm her. She said, "now Gwarpy, I brought a new friend for you to meet. This is Professor Umbridge." As the giant heard her words, he slowly began to lower Hermione calmly back to the group and lifted the Professor. This sent former Slytherin shaking. As the giant lifted her, she began to lecture, "Put me down you beast. I demand that you do so at once." Before anyone could be able to do anything, let alone realize what Gwarp was doing he threw the offending witch down hard on the forest floor, and she began to slowly bleed to death.

Harry stared at his best friend, "Was that supposed to happen?" The curly haired witch smiled showing a hint of newly straightened teeth, "Yes indeed. I knew that the woman was likely to offend Gwarp and that she would end up at least hurt and out of the way for a while. Now hurry we need to get out of here. They made their way towards the grounds. Coming towards the stables where the threstles kept by the school stayed .

As they approached the stables, they saw the rest of their friend group approaching. Neville, Luna, Ron, and Ginny stood there have gotten the better of the slytherins. The group spoke in unison, "Harry we need to talk." Harry stood there looking at his friends, "Okay so talk." He was clearly not happy with the delay in getting off the grounds to save his godfather. His friends on the other hand exchanged a glance, and Neville picked the short straw.

The taller boy cleared his throat, "You were born in our world, and have been reintroduced for a while now, but a few of us feel you've not been fully informed on our ways." Harry's expression turned to a mixture of confusion and frustration. The boy who had been so shy when they first met now was an open book, "what I mean to tell you is Gran said that I could invite you to Longbottom manor this summer rather than returning to your aunt's house if that is what you want. One of the first things you need to understand is because it had to do with Kreacher. Until you are Lord Black Kreacher can lie to you. You are not his master. You do not live with Sirius as his son, and so are not someone that he is bound too. So, unless Sirius leaves you the Black estate when he dies, Kreacher does not have to obey you or tell you the truth, or even serve you." Harry thought over the time at number twelve and realized that his friend was right. Kreacher been crass about blood traitors, mud blood, and half-bloods, and would not do as asked until Sirius commanded it, then even he often did so complain, and whining while at the tasks. The green-eyed wizard looked at the group of pure bloods, "What do you suggest then instead?" Luna ever the Ravenclaw, creative and practical wisdom driven, smiled, "Do I really need to tell you Harry?" The boy nodded, "Write to Sirius and check on him, but use one of the school owls, Hedwig is too distinctive." Harry nodded, agreeing to the plan.

The group soon made their way back to the common room where Harry could craft his letter. Using the excuse that Neville had invited him to Longbottom manor he crafted a note:

"Padfoot, I have received an invitation to stay with one of my dormmates, Neville, this summer. Do I have your permission? Also, he says that I should check in with you about Black family history. Is there something that I need to know there?

-Harry"

From there Harry made his way up to the owlery. The green-eyed wizard smiled as his companion the past few summers and years swooped and gave his finger an affection nip, as he fed her a treat. Then, sent a letter off to one of the school barn owls. The wait would be excruciating for Harry, but he knew that his friends were right, and maybe even saved his life. If Sirius responded it meant that obviously he was alive and well, but busy and unable to respond to the call. Then, Harry returned to Gryffindor tower for an exceptionally long wait.
