Becky's POV:

I can't believe that the game is tomorrow. It feels like it was just Friday and now it's Sunday.

Monday is the game against the Trojans. Honestly, the Trojans are lowdown, slimy players that cheat every chance they get.

"Hey, Becky. You want to throw around the ball for a bit?" Rasheed "Hot Hands" Hanon asked, picking up one of the footballs.

"Sure." I looked over to see that Junior and Spike had joined the circle. I grinned at Spike, who grinned back.

Hanon passed the football to me, then I passed it to Spike, who passed it to Billy Patterson. It went around the circle until it came back to Hanon. He caught it, no problem.

"Yeah! That's it, Hanon. You do that for tomorrow's game when we do the Annexation of Puerto Rico, and we've got this game in the bag." I said, slapping hands with him.

"Coach Danny says that we'll still do silver streak to Hanon on 2, just like we did in the first big game. We're a lot better than we used to be, so now we have an advantage." Junior said.

"Hell yeah, we do!" Murphy shouted, banging his fist on the green grass. "I need to tackle something or someone!"

Murphy came running at me, I literally felt the wind being rushed right outta me. I lost all my breath, I couldn't breathe. "You asshole! You could've hurt her! What's your freaking problem?!" I heard Spike shout, as he ran to me.

"Becks, are you ok? Can you breathe?" I shook my head, because I couldn't speak. "Let's go get you some water.

Spike walked me to where the water coolers where. My dad ran over, looking concerned. "You alright, Becky? What happened?"

"Sean Murphy got a little too excited about the game tomorrow and tackled her to the ground. She just got the wind knocked out of her, so I brought her over here to the cooler."

"Spike, you've been taking care of Becky for a while now. What's up?" Dad stared at him, as he blushed. "Wait, a minute. Does that mean what I think it means? Are you guys dating?"

I looked at Spike, waiting for his answer. Because honestly, I was curious too. I mean, we've already kissed and I know that I like him. So make your decision!

Suddenly, he looked up at my dad. "Would it bother you if we were?"

My dad contemplated that for a moment, then he grinned. "As long as you treat her right, Spike, I've got no problem with you dating Becky."

"Yes!" Spike cried, throwing his fists up in the air. He blushed as he realized that the whole football team was staring at him. And me.

"Spike's dating the Icebox? Since when?" Tad Simpson wondered.

"Woah, woah. What?! You mean to tell me that Spike Hammersmith and Becky "Icebox" O'Shea are actually dating?" Sean exclaimed, with eyes wide. "That don't sound right."

"Why?" I asked. I frowned at him.

"Because I remember how you two felt about each other four years, when we were 10. You hated each other. It was like hate at first sight, instead of love."

I blushed, remembering back to the first time we'd ever met. I really couldn't stand him. It took me almost a full year to even warm up to him. He was always showing off at practice. But now, he's a lot better. He's definitely a lot more nicer.

"Well?" I asked, point blankly at Spike.

"Well what?"

"Well, are we dating or not?" I was waiting on a straight answer; no fooling around.

"I mean, yeah. I want to be your boyfriend, but I'm not sure if you want to be my girlfriend. Do you really want to?" Spike grinned, hopefully.

I thought about my answer for a second, then gave it. "Yes, I really do want to be your girlfriend, Spike." I grinned back at him. "More than you'll ever know."

All of our teammates erupted into loud cheers, slapping him on the back. "I still can't believe it. I really never thought that Spike Hammersmith would end up with Becky O'Shea." Sean was still trying to grasp the concept of us dating.

"Get over it, Murph." I said, laughing.

"I'll try, but it'll be hard."

I laughed as we continued on with our practice. Once it was done, Spike and I rode our bikes to Cherry Hill.

"You ready?" He wiggled his eyebrows as I stopped my bike beside him. "Don't be so sure that you'll win today. I just might surprise ya."

I laughed. "We'll see about that." I smiled at him. "One."

"Two." Spike said, as he leaned forward a little bit.

"Three!" As we shouted the last word, we zoomed down the hill.

However, Spike was true to his word and he made it down the hill first. But seeing the smile on his face, made me not get mad.

"You really did beat me this time, didn't you?" I smiled, as I rode up beside him.

I accidentally hit his bike, which caused our bikes to get tangled. "Oops, sorry. I'll try to get it loose."

Just as Spike said, "Hang on. I'll get it."

Our hands touched as we both reached to untangle our bikes. His fingers closed around mine and I looked up at him to see him smiling at me.

I leaned up to his face, and I stared up into his eyes as our lips got closer and closer, until I felt his lips on mine.

I moved to the motions I hoped I'd never get sick of.

Spike's POV:

It doesn't even really feel like it should be time for the game against the Trojans. But it is Sunday practice, for a Monday game.

If I'm being completely honest, those Trojans are a slimy team. Last year, even after they beat us, they totally trashed our locker room. I want to beat them, just so they can know what it's like to lose.

We joined a circle, Becky in the lead, passing the football around. I looked over at Becky, who grinned at me. I had to grin right back at her.

Hanon passed the ball to Becky, then she passed it to me, I passed it to Billy Patterson. It went around the circle until Sean Murphy passed it to Hanon, who caught it, not a single fault.

Becky grinned. "Yeah! That's it, Hanon! You do that for tomorrow's game, when we do the Annexation of Puerto Rico, and we've got this thing in the bag!" She gave him a high five.

"Coach Danny says that we'll still do silver streak to Hanon on 2, just like we did in the first big game." Junior said. "Let's be honest. We're a lot better than we used to be, so now we have an advantage."

"Hell yeah, we do!" Sean shouted, banging his fist on the green grass. "I need to tackle something or someone!"

It happened so fast, I barely even noticed it. Sean went flying at Becks. She went flying to the ground and I could just tell she had the wind knocked straight out of her.

I jumped up and pushed Sean to the ground. "You asshole! You could've hurt her! What's your freaking problem, Murphy?!" I ran over to Becks. "Becks, are you ok? Can you breathe?"

I saw her shake her head. "Let's go get you some water." I helped her over to the water coolers.

Coach Danny walked over to us, concern etched across his forehead. "You alright, Becky? What happened?"

"Sean Murphy got a little too excited about the game tomorrow and tackled her to the ground. She just got the wind knocked out of her, so I brought her over here to the cooler."

"Spike, you've been taking care of Becky for a while now. What's up?" I blushed, as I felt Coach Danny stare at me. "Wait, a minute. Does that mean what I think it means? Are you guys dating?"

I saw Becky look at me. I knew she was waiting on me to just admit that I liked her and want her to be my girlfriend.

I looked up at Coach Danny. "Would it bother you if we were?"

He seemed to be contemplating it for a minute or two, then he grinned at us. "As long as you treat her right, Spike, I've got no problem with you dating Becky."

"Yes!" I exclaimed, as I threw my fist up in the air. But I didn't notice all they other guys on the team staring at me. And Becks.

"Spike's dating the Icebox? Since when?" Tad Simpson exclaimed.

"Woah, woah. What?! You mean to tell me that Spike Hammersmith and Becky "Icebox" O'Shea are actually dating?" Sean exclaimed, with wide eyes. "That don't sound right."

"Why?" Becks asked, frowning at him.

"Because I remember how you two felt about each other four years ago, when we were 10. You hated each other. It was like hate at first sight, instead of love."

I remembered it, that's for sure. When our teams got combined, she wouldn't even talk to me for the first few months. But a little after a year, she warmed up to me and we became friends.

"Well?" Becky asked, staring at me.

"Well what?" I didn't know what she wanted me to say.

"Well, are we dating or not?"

"I mean, yeah. I want to be your boyfriend, but I'm not sure if you want to be my girlfriend. Do you really want to?" I grinned at her, hopefully.

She looked like she was really considering saying no, but then out of nowhere, she grinned at me. "Yes, I really do want to be your girlfriend, Spike." She said. "More than you'll ever know."

All of the guys shouted, cheered, and hooted, slapping me on the back. "I still can't believe it. I really never thought that Spike Hammersmith would end up with Becky O'Shea." Sean was still having trouble believing that we're dating.

"Get over it, Murph." Becky laughed.

"I'll try, but it'll be hard."

In no time, practice was over and Becky and I were on our way to Cherry Hill.

We came to a sudden stop as we neared the top of the hill. "You ready?" I wiggled my eyebrows as she stopped her bike right beside mine. "Don't be so sure that you'll win today. I just might surprise ya."

She laughed. "We'll see about that." She grinned at me. "One."

"Two." I leaned forward a little bit.

"Three!" We cried, as we zoomed down the hill. She was on my tail the whole time, but in the end, my adrenaline took over and I beat her.

I had the biggest smile on my face as I waited on Becks at the bottom of the hill. "You really beat me this time, didn't you?" She asked as she rolled her bike up next to mine.

She accidentally hit my bike, which caused our bikes to get tangled. "Oops, sorry. I'll try to get it loose." She reached out.

I reached out at the same time. "Hang on. I'll get it."

Our hands touched and it sent electricity shocks up my arm. I wonder if she felt it too. I closed my fingers around hers and smiled at her.

She leaned up close to my face, staring into my brown eyes. While I stared into her brown eyes.

Our lips got closer and closer, until I finally put my lips on hers and kissed her.

This is something I'll never grow old of. I love Becks O'Shea. Holy crap...
