Spike's POV:
When I went to sleep last night, I had a smile on my face, knowing that Becky and I had made up.
When I woke up, I was still smiling and I had a pep in my step. I sat up in my bed, and turned on the tv.
Murphy woke up and stared at me. He grinned. "You seem happy."
I grinned back at him. "You bet I am. Because Becks and I made up. I couldn't be happier."
"You know what? You probably wouldn't have if I hadn't told Junior what really happened. I just don't know why Debbie would do something like this to her cousin."
I stared at him. "C'mon. It's Debbie. She's always been like this. Remember when Becks had a crush on Junior?"
Murphy's mouth gaped open. "Wait, what? I didn't know that Becky had a crush on him, at all. Mainly because he's her stepbrother. That's weird."
"No, no. It was before their parents got married. Back during the play off game back when we were 10. Everyone knew that she had a crush on him. Like it was hard to tell."
"Oh, yeah. I forgot about that." Murphy rubbed his eyelids as the phone rang.
"I'll get it." I said, walking out into the hallway. I picked up the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey, it's Becky. I was wondering if you wanted to do something today."
"Yeah? Like what?" I wondered.
"I don't know. Maybe we can go to the movies or go somewhere out to eat." She said.
"Ok, sounds good. You just pick the time and place and I'll be there. Just call me back to let me know what you're doing." I said.
"Ok. Bye, love you."
"Bye, love you too." I said, hanging up the phone. I looked up and saw that Murphy was staring at me. "What is it? Do I have something on my face?" I brought my hand up to my face.
"No. You don't." He shook his head. "But I'm just curious."
"About what?"
"How did Debbie know where you were? I mean, I didn't say anything."
"Coach Kevin probably mentioned something to them. I guess." I was curious too. But then I saw the guilty look on Murphy's face. "Wait a minute. Did you tell her where I was? Man, tell me the truth!"
His face turned as pale as a piece of paper. Then he folded. "I did. I'm sorry that I did. I regret doing it, but Debbie's really convincing. She's conniving."
I rolled my eyes. "Don't I know it. I feel like she really botched the relationship between her and Becks. It'll never be the same as it was before."
"You got it!" Murphy said. Then he got up. "I'm going to eat some breakfast. You coming?"
"Yeah." I said, as the phone rang again. "It's probably Becks calling back to tell us when our date is." I stared at him until he finally got the clue.
"Oh, I see how it is," He grinned. "I'll be out of your hair now."
I grabbed the phone and answered it. "Hello?"
"Spike? Can we make the date at 2:30? Or at least 3'o'clock? I have to help Patty with the shopping today. And we have to pick out Junior's birthday present. I think we're getting him some new Reebok cleats."
"Ok, sounds good to me." I smiled. "Are y'all planning a party for him? Tonight?"
"Yeah, we are. Most of the guys on the football team know and it's a surprise party. Has Murph mentioned anything about it to you?"
"No, he hasn't."
"Ok, good. He wasn't lying when he said he wouldn't tell anyone."
For some reason, those words hurt my heart a little bit. "Did you think that if he did, I'd tell Junior? Becks, I wouldn't tell him if you asked me not to."
"No! I was going to tell you. And anyway, we just realized that we were doing the party yesterday. So, it's not like it'd been planned for months. Just 10 hours, really."
"Oh, ok." I said, thankful that she did trust me. "Well, I guess I'll see you later."
"Yeah, later." She hung up the phone.
I put in back down on its receiver and opened our room door. I walked into the kitchen, to see Mrs. Murphy making breakfast. "Good morning, Spike, son. Did you sleep well?" Mr. Murphy asked, looking up from his newspaper.
"Yes, sir, I did." I sat down at the table, as Mrs. Murphy came into the dining room, holding a tray of breakfast.
"Here you guys go. Dig in!" She placed it on the table.
I got a load of bacon, eggs, and a biscuit. "Thanks, Mrs. Murphy. It looks good."
"Oh, you're welcome, Spike." She said, as she took the seat next to Mr. Murphy.
Mr. Murphy looked at me as he put down the newspaper. "So, what do you guys have planned for today? Perhaps a little football? Or fishing?"
"No, sir. I'm actually meeting up with my girlfriend at the movies at 2:30."
Mrs. Murphy glanced over at me. "Oh, you have a girlfriend? What's her name?"
"It's Becky. Coach Danny's daughter."
They both blinked, then looked over at their son, who shook his head, grinning. "Well, I never pegged you for dating Danny's daughter. She's quite the little tomboy, ain't she?" Mr. Murphy laughed.
"Yeah, but she's a little bit more feminine than she was 4 years ago. But she's definitely still a tomboy."
"Oh! Would you look at the time? I'm going to be late for work!" With that, Mr. Murphy got up and walked out the door and to his car.
"Well, boys, I've also got to go. I've got a meeting today and the superintendent is making his annual 'surprise visit'."
"Ok, Mom. See you later." Murphy said, as she walked out to her car. "So, what do you want to do while you wait on Becky to get done with all the stuff that she has to do?"
"Well, I guess we can go fishing or maybe go swimming in your pool." I looked out the backyard window, that faced his pool.
"We could, if you want to." Then the phone rang and I was closest to it, so I picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Um, hi. Is Sean there? This is Melanie Perkins. Can I speak to him, please?"
"Yeah, sure." I held the phone out towards him. "It's for you. Says her name is Melanie Perkins."
Before I could barely even finish saying her last name, he ripped the phone out of my hand and put it to his ear.
In a few minutes, he put the phone back down on it's receiver and he had a goofy grin on his face. "Gee, I'm sorry, but I need to take a rain check on swimming today. I just got asked out."
"Hey, don't worry about it. I'll just go into town to do some things for mine and Becky's date today. Might buy her some flowers or something like that."
"Yeah, but if you buy her flowers, buy her something sports wise too. I remember one time at one of her birthday parties. My mom bought her a necklace and a dress, let's just say the table with the cake on it, got flipped."
My eyes widened, in obvious surprise. "Wow. Was your mom shocked?"
"You bet." Murphy was throwing on his clothes. "Well, I'll see you later. Have fun with Becky today."
"Yeah, I hope you and Melanie have a good time too." And after I said that, he was out the door, heading to his date.
I walked out the door after him and hopped on my bike, heading towards town.
Becky's POV:
When I woke up, I couldn't stop smiling. It felt so good to be back with Spike. He made me feel so happy.
I pulled myself up to a sitting position and grabbed the phone off my nightstand. I dialed Murphy's home number. "Hello?" I smiled, as I recognized Spike's voice.
"Hey, it's Becky. I was wondering if you wanted to do something today."
"Yeah? Like what?" He inquired.
"I don't know. Maybe we can go to the movies or go somewhere to eat." I said, rattling off a few ideas for a date. That didn't cost a lot of money.
"Ok, sounds good. You just pick the time and the place and I'll be there. Just call me back to let me know what you're doing."
"Ok, bye. Love you."
"Bye, love you too." Oh, how those words sent butterflies throughout my whole stomach.
I walked into the kitchen, to see if Patty needed my help with the shopping today. "Patty? Do you need me to help you run errands today? Especially since you're getting all that stuff for Junior's surprise party tonight?"
"Thanks for offering to help, Becky! I'm always looking for extra hands to help." She smiled at me.
"But what time do you think we'll be done?"
"Hmm. Maybe around 2o'clock? Why?"
"Well, I'm planning a date with Spike. I thought that we could come and help you set up the party after we get done with the movie."
"Ok. Sounds good to me. Hope you two have fun." I smiled at her.
"Thanks." I ran back to the phone to call Spike back.
"Hello?" I heard Spike ask, as he answered the phone.
"Spike? Can we make the date at 2:30? Or at least 3o'clock? I have to help Patty with the shopping today. And we have to pick up Junior's birthday presents. I think we're getting him some new Reebok cleats."
"Ok, sounds good to me." He said.
He sounded hurt as he talked. "Did you think that if he did, I'd tell Junior? Becks, I wouldn't tell him if you asked me not to."
"No! I was going to tell you. And anyway, we just realized we were doing the party yesterday. So, it's not like it's been planned for ten months. Just 10 hours, really."
"Oh, ok." He sounded relieved that I trusted him. And I did. "Well, I guess I'll see you later."
"Yeah, later." I hung up the phone.
Then I went to pick out my clothes for going shopping with Patty. Since I'm still not a girly girl, I just picked out a white t-shirt and my new pair of army green jeans. Then I threw on my black and white Converse.
I walked into the living room, to see Patty waiting on me. My dad was nowhere in sight. "You ready, Becky, dear?"
"Yes. Say, where's my dad?" I wondered.
"He's at the park with Junior, Kaden, and Brian. He's throwing the football around with them. Hopefully he can keep Junior there for a few hours."
We walked outside and got in her car and drove into town to pick up everything we needed for Junior's party.
We pulled the car into a parking spot in front of the new Party City, just to grab a few decorations. "What do you think, Becky? Would he want plain plates or football plates?"
"Isn't your friend making him a football cake?"
"Yes..."
"Well, then get him football plates, cups, and napkins. At least, it's not ladybugs." I laughed, as she laughed too.
"Well, ok then. You see, Becky? That's exactly why I needed help. I never know what to do right."
I laughed, as we went to pay for the supplies we picked out. Then we headed for the towns sport store. To pick out some cleats for Junior.
"What kind of cleats do you think he'll like? These?" She held up a pair of black and red ones.
"Hmm. Probably not. Try these." I picked up a pair of blue and silver Reebok cleats.
"Thanks, Becky!" She exclaimed, as she grabbed the box and went up to the counter to pay.
As we left, I saw someone pull up in front of the sports store on their bike. It take too long to realize that it was Spike. He had some red roses in his basket.
I gasped, realizing that those were probably for me. And why is he going into the sports store? To get something for Junior?
We'll just have to wait until the party tonight. We went to McDonald's, to grab some breakfast. "What do you want, Becky?" Patty turned to me.
"I want an egg McMuffin, please. And a orange juice."
"Ok." She pulled up to the window to order and within a few minutes, we had it and started to head to her friend, Maria Wilcox's house. "Stay in here while I go get the cake. I promise, I won't be gone long."
She was true to her word. In five minutes or less, she was back in the car and we were headed back home.
When we got there, I think Patty was happy to see that Dad and the others are still at the park.
As soon as we came in, we started to decorate. Streamers went everywhere, she sat out the plates, napkins, and cups on the kitchen island. After she cleaned it, though. We're not slobs. Expect for when we eat, I thought, laughing.
I looked around the room at all of our handiwork, amazed at how just two girls (my bad, two STRONG girls) can get so much done in just a few hours.
I looked at the clock, and was shocked to see that it said that it's already 2:00. So, I just put on my new Nirvana t-shirt.
I picked up the phone so that way I could call Spike and tell him that I'm ready. "Hello?" It sounded very loud, wherever he was at.
"Hey. I'm ready. Where do you want to meet at?"
"Um, meet me at the park. Then we'll head to the movie."
"Wait, why the park? Spike, what are you planning?" But he hung up the phone, so he never even answered my question.
I grabbed my helmet from my room and headed towards the garage to grab my bike. I rode the short ride and stopped my bike by a tall oak tree and let it lean against it.
I saw Spike, standing in the middle of the park grass, a blanket under him, with a picnic basket next to him on the ground.
I ran over to him, smiling. "Hey. I didn't know you planned a picnic."
"That's because it was supposed to be a surprise for you." He grinned back at me and I felt butterflies in my stomach.
Oh, I love how he makes me feel and smile.
Spike's POV:
When I got into town, the first thing I did was run by Ingles to grab a picnic basket and a blanket. I had a little surprise for her.
After I got all I needed, I rode my bike to the park and set everything out. Then I rode my bike to the hardware store and went to the garden section. I grabbed Becky some red roses.
Then I headed to the sports store, but just as soon as I pulled in, I saw a car pull out that looked a bit like Patty's car. Patty is Coach Danny's wife.
I put my bike in the bike rack and walked inside to find a present for both Junior and Becky. I got Junior a new red and white football. You know, like our team's colors.
I got Becky a mouth guard, because hers is pretty much destroyed, especially after one of the last games we had. One of the guys on the team opposite us, punched her. It's hanging by a string every time we have a practice.
So, I payed then left and rode my bike back to the park. As soon as I got there, my handheld phone rang and the caller ID read, 'Becks, my baby'.
I grinned as I answered it. "Hello?" As I asked they, some kid ran by me, screaming loud enough to wake the damn dead.
"Hey. I'm ready. Where do you want to meet at?"
"Um, meet me at the park. Then we'll head to the movie."
"Wait, why the park? Spike, what are you planning?" She asked, but I just hung up the phone.
I laughed as I put it back in my pocket. Five minutes later, she rode up on her bike. She saw me, standing up next to a picnic basket.
She ran over to me, grinning. "Hey, I didn't know you planned a picnic."
I grinned at her. "That's because it was supposed to be a surprise." She grinned back at me.
I knew that she felt the same way I felt. She loved me, really and truly loved me.
We sat down on the blanket and ate our food. It was good getting to spend a lot of time with her. It felt like a breath of fresh air.
After we got done, we got on our bikes and rode to the movie theater. "So, what do you want to see today? The parent trap?" I pulled out my wallet.
"Yes!" She exclaimed as we put our bikes in the bike rack.
We walked inside and up to the first ticket booth that was available. This time it was a guy that we had. "What movie?"
"Two tickets for the parent trap, please." I pulled a ten dollar bill out of my wallet and handed it to him.
"Here you go. Enjoy the movie." He handed us our ticket stubs.
We walked into where they kept the candy, popcorn, and drinks. But we only got a small popcorn, a medium coke, and two bags of candy for us both.
We sat down in the theater, just as the lights got dim. I turned to Becky and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey, can you hand me my box of Nerds?" I asked, around a mouthful of popcorn.
"Yeah, sure." She handed me the box and I opened. I swallowed the popcorn first then I rattled the box and poured some in my mouth.
"Thanks, Becky!" I leaned over and kissed her lips.
"You're welcome." She blushed.
The movie was over in no time and we're out the front door heading to the bike rack. "Ok, so since it's 4:30, I told Patty that we'd help her set up for the party. Dad's been keeping Junior, Kaden, and Brian away from the house all day."
"Ok, let's go!" We hopped on our bikes then rode to Becks's house.
Becky's POV:
After we sat down on the blanket, Spike pulled out some red roses! (It was him, that I saw at the sports store!)
"I also got you this," He pulled out a brand new mouth guard. "You know, since yours is pretty much snapped."
I hugged him so hard, I thought he couldn't breathe. But then he opened the picnic basket. He pulled out a sub sandwich from, I think Ingles.
We ate our lunch, then got on our bikes to head to the movie theater. "So, what do you want to see today? The parent trap?" Spike pulled out his wallet.
"Yes!" I exclaimed, as we came to a stop in front of the bike racks.
We put our bikes in the bike rack then walked inside. "What movie?" The guy at the booth asked.
"Two tickets for the Parent Trap, please." Spike said, pulling some money out of his wallet.
"Here you go. Enjoy the movie." He handed both of us our own ticket stubs.
We walked inside and only got a small popcorn, a medium coke, and few things if candy. Like two. I got Now & Laters and Spike got Nerds.
By the time we got to our theater number, the lights were already dim. We took our seats and I placed both things of candy on the seat next to me.
I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. I turned to see Spike, staring at me. "Hey, can you hand me my box of Nerds?" He was still chewing on some popcorn in his mouth.
"Yeah, sure." I handed them to him and he shook the box and then tipped it up and poured some of them in his mouth.
Before either of us even knew it, the movie was over with and we were back outside, in front of the bike racks. "Ok, so since it's 4:30, I told Patty that we'd help her set up for the party. Dad's been keeping Junior, Kaden, and Brian away from the house all day."
"Ok, let's go!" He exclaimed, as we hopped on our bikes and rode back to my house.
When we got there, most of the guys from our team were already there. The only people that weren't here was Junior, my dad, Greeson, Briggs, Chanlon, and Patterson.
"Oh, hey guys." Murphy said, as he got up off the couch. "How was your date?"
"Pretty good," I said. "Look, he went to the sports store and got me a new mouth guard."
Murphy laughed. "About time! You needed a new one! Your other one was basically falling apart!"
I rolled my eyes and laughed sarcastically. "Real funny, Murph."
From beside me, I heard Spike snicker. Then the front door opened and everyone, including time, seemed to stand still.
I let out the big breath I'd been holding in when Greeson, Briggs, Chanlon, and Patterson walked in the living room, together. "What?" Patterson asked, as we all stared at him. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing. We just thought you were Junior." I said, slapping him on the back.
"Oh," Patterson laughed. "Sorry, not Junior, Becky."
But soon after, we heard a car getting closer. "Cut the lights!" Patty and I hissed.
Spike shot up and cut the switch off. We all found a hiding spot as we heard them shut the car doors. I could them talking as they got closer to the front door. "Gee, Danny. Thanks for today. It was really fun."
"You're welcome, Junior. Football's always fun with family. Your brothers made it even better."
"Yes, they did." Junior's voice sounded closer and closer. "Wait, are Mom and Becky already asleep? It's only 6:30!"
"What makes you say that?" Dad asked, as he opened the front door.
"All the lights are off!" Junior exclaimed, as he opened the door and cut on the lights.
We all jumped out of our hiding spots. "Surprise!" We cried.
Junior jumped, then began to grin. "What's going on? A surprise party?"
"Happy birthday, Junior!" I said, giving him a hug.
"I can't believe it! Thanks you guys! This means so much to me!" Junior then looked at my dad. "Thanks for helping them keep me away from the house! At first, I wasn't really having much fun, especially because Brian and Kaden were there."
"You weren't?" Dad looked shocked.
"No, I wasn't," Junior admitted. "But then it got a lot more fun, and I'm glad that you're my dad."
"Dad? You've never called me Dad before." Dad said, surprised.
"Well, I think of you as my dad. Or is that too weird for you?"
"No, it's just fine. In fact, I'd be honored if you called me your dad."
Dad and Junior hugged, as everyone in the room clapped. Then Junior clapped his hands together. "Let's get this party started!"
We all got into the kitchen, where Patty had set out the cake and 12 boxes of pizza from Little Cesar's. Yum.
Once we all got done eating, Junior opened his presents. "Thanks for the new cleats, Mom. I needed a new pair!"
Then he got down to the last two; mine and Spike's. He opened Spike's first. "Gee, thanks Spike. This football is nice!"
Spike smiled his 'your welcome' smile. "Now, who's present is this one? Oh, it's from Becky."
I grinned as he ripped open the paper. "What did you get him?" Spike whispered in my ear.
"You'll just have to wait and see." I whispered back and grinned at him. Which caused him to grin back.
Junior's eyes widened as he opened the box. "Becky, you didn't."
I laughed. "I definitely did."
I got him two things; some new shoulder pads and some ballerina shoes. He pulled them out of the box and showed them to everybody.
They all burst out laughing, while Junior's turned cherry red. "Oh, Becks. That was hilarious!" Spike exclaimed, grinning at me.
After all the excitement buzzed down, the party slowly began to fade. Everyone left, until it was just me, Spike, Junior, Patty, Dad, Brian, and Kaden.
"I think I'm going to put these guys to bed." Patty grabbed Kaden and Brian up into her arms and walked into their bedroom.
Dad got up off the couch and walked over to us. "I'm think I'm turning in early, you guys. Cut the lights off before you go to sleep." He turned to me. "Good night, sweetheart."
"Good night, Dad. Love you."
"I'm going to bed too." Junior said, and stalked off towards his room.
"Good night, Junior." Spike and I both said.
I turned to Spike. "So, how's your dad doing with the therapy?"
"I talked on the phone with him yesterday. His therapist said he's been doing amazing, but he's still not completely healed."
"I can't wait until he's completely healed and he will be the dad you always wanted him to be."
"Same here."
"Well, I think I'm going to turn in too. Love you." I started to walk away, but he grabbed me by my hand and pulled me into a kiss. Oh, how I got goosebumps as we touched.
He pulled apart from me and he walked out the front door. Then I went and laid down on my bed, and drifted off to sleep, dreaming of Spike the entire night.
Spike's POV:
When we pulled into Becky's yard, we found a spot to put our bikes then ran inside.
Most of the team was there already. Just a few of the other guys weren't. We walked towards the couch, where Murphy was sitting.
When he saw us, he got up and walked over to us. "Hey, you guys. How was your date?"
"Pretty good," Becky said. "Look, he went to the sports store and got me a new mouth guard!"
Murphy laughed out loud. "About damn time! You needed a new one! Your other one was basically falling apart."
She rolled her eyes then laughed, sarcastically. "Real funny, Murph."
I mean, it was pretty funny. I even cracked a laugh. As I laughed, the front door opened and everything became frozen in time.
But everyone was relieved when they saw it was only Greeson, Briggs, Scanlon, and Patterson.
Patterson looked confused as we all stared at him. "What? What's wrong?"
"Nothing. We just thought you were Junior." Becks said, slapping him on the back.
"Oh," He grinned. "Sorry, not Junior, Becky."
Not too long after, the sound of a car pulled into the driveway and we knew that they were here. "Cut the lights!" Patty and Becky hissed.
I jumped up as quick as I could and I flipped the light switch. Then I ran back to my hiding spot, with Becks.
Everyone found a hiding spot. I began to hear them talk as they got closer to the door. "Gee, Danny. Thanks for today. It was really fun."
"You're welcome, Junior. Football's always fun with family. Your brothers made it even better."
"Yes, they did." Junior sounded like he was right in the front step. "Wait, are Mom and Becky already asleep? It's only 6:30!"
"What makes you say that?" Coach Danny said, as he unlocked the front door then opened it.
"All the lights are off!" Junior exclaimed, as he flipped the switch and the room was bathed in bright light.
Everyone jumped out of their hiding spots. "Surprise!" We all cried.
Junior jumped a mile, then began to smile. "What's going on? A surprise party?"
Becky went over to him and gave him a big hug. "Happy birthday, Junior!"
"I can't believe it! Thanks you guys! This means so much to me!" Junior turned to Coach Danny. "Thanks for helping them keep me away from the house! At first, I wasn't really having much fun, especially because Brian and Kaden were there."
"You weren't?" Coach Danny had a shocked look on his face.
"No, I wasn't," Junior admitted, with a sheepish grin. "But then it got a lot more fun, and I'm glad that you're my dad."
"Dad? You've never called me Dad before." Coach Danny sounded surprised.
"Well, I think of you as my Dad. Or is that too weird for you?"
"No, it's just fine. In fact, I'd be honored if you called me your Dad."
Coach Danny and Junior hugged, and we all clapped. Then Junior clapped his hands and turned to us. "Let's get this party started!"
We all walked into the kitchen, where Patty had set out all the food. There was this impressive football cake and 12 or 13 boxes of pizza. Little Caesar's pizza too.
After we got done eating, Junior started to open his presents. But then he got down to the last two, mine and Becky's.
He decided to open mine first. "Gee, thanks Spike. This football is nice!" He said.
I smiled my classic 'you're welcome' smile. Then he grabbed Becky's gift. "Now, who's present is this one? Oh, it's from Becky."
He started to rip the wrapping paper and Becky had a grin on her face. One that gave me reason to believe that she had a surprise for him in that box. "What did you get him?" I whispered the question in her ear.
She grinned at me. "You'll just have to wait and see."
I grinned back at her. I saw Junior's eyes widen as he opened the top off the box. "Becky, you didn't!"
Becky laughed. "I definitely did."
Junior pulled out some new shoulder pads, (that's a nice gift, coming from Becky) but nobody was prepared for he pulled out of the box next.
She also got him some ballerina shoes. Everyone burst out laughing, as Junior turned tomato red. "Oh, Becks! That was hilarious!" I exclaimed, grinning.
Soon after, everyone began to leave. Then all that was left was me, Becky, Junior, Coach Danny, Patty, and their two little boys.
Patty grabbed Kaden and Brian up. "I think I'm going to put these guys to bed." She walked into their room.
"I think I'm going to turn in early, you guys. Cut the lights off before you go to sleep." Then he turned to Becky, and kissed her on her forehead. "Good night, sweetheart."
"Good night, Dad. Love you."
"I'm going to bed too." Junior said, as he went into his room.
"Good night, Junior." Becky and I said.
Becky turned to me. "So, how's your dad doing with the therapy?"
I felt so good about the fact that someone asked me about my dad. That she actually cared about me and my dad. "I talked on the phone with him yesterday. His therapist said he's been doing amazing, but he's still not completely healed."
"I can't wait until he's completely healed and he will be the dad you always wanted him to be."
"Same here." I said. And it's true.
"Well, I think I'm going to turn in to. Love you." She started to walk away, but I couldn't let her go without a kiss first.
I grabbed her by her hand and pulled her into a kiss, I didn't want to let her go, at all, but I knew I had to. Then I walked out the front door and hopped on my bike.
I rode to Murphy's house and put my bike and helmet in the garage.
I made my way into the house and ran upstairs. I flung open our bedroom door and jumped into bed. "Hey, Spike."
"Hey, Murph. What's up?"
"I just thought I'd let you know. I think you and Becky make a cute couple."
I smiled, before I got to sleep. "Thanks, Murph." I finally drifted off to sleep, anticipating getting to see Becks again tomorrow. I love spending time with her; she gives me a reason to live and that's why I love her so much.
