Kate smiled as the elevator opened up in the Batcave.
"Man, how I have missed this place." Kate said as she walked into the batcave.
"Really. So you missed your batsuit?" Luke asked.
"Why would I miss the only thing I had to wear for a month, since when I was stuck at the Vanishing Point, I was kind of stuck in my supersuit, we all were. Well, those of us who were wearing super suits at the time, so just me, Kara, Barry and Sara." Kate said.
"I'm assuming the other paragons didn't have costumes?" Luke asked.
"More like J'onn wouldn't put his on, but yeah, the other two didn't have costumes, even though one of them was Lex Luthor. Don't ask." Kate said, since she knew that both Bruce and Luke were aware of the truth about Lex Luthor.
"Good, because I don't even want to think about any version of Lex Luthor being viewed as a paragon. I'm just glad that when the world was reset, everyone still remembered that he's the world's most wanted man." Bruce said, since he was well aware that Lex was Clark's Joker, only even more insane, something that Bruce didn't even know was possible, but considering the Joker had only tried to blow up Gotham, while Lex Luthor had nearly blown up the entire planet and had turned the sun red.
"Wait, should we be concerned about the fact that the guy who's come closer to killing Superman than most of the aliens on this planet ever has knows who you are?" Luke asked as Bruce also looked concerned.
"Don't worry about that, for once, Mar Novu was helpful and assured me that he'd wipe all that information from Luthor's head, so now he's strictly Superman and Supergirl's pain in the ass, not mine. Mine is still in the form of a demented twin sister I need to lock up for the rest of her life until she decides she wants to stop being crazy." Kate said.
"Yeah, I've already started using our surveillance system to look for any trace of Alice." Luke said.
"Look for any trace of the bastard Cartwright, since I want to put him in a cell just like the one he put Beth in, only smaller and much crappier." Kate said angrily.
"Kate, it's not just on him. I shouldn't have stopped looking." Bruce said.
"Bruce, forget it, it wasn't your fault. We all stopped looking for her and she wants all of Gotham to pay for it. Starting with stopping her from killing my soon to be ex-stepmom, since I'm planning on putting her in prison for tampering with the search, since if it weren't for her, we might've found Beth and Mouse before Cartwright turned both of them into the psychopaths they are." Kate said.
"True, but we still need to deal with them. Mouse thankfully is still locked up in Arkham." Luke said.
"And we need to make sure that he stays there. I think that my first act as the CEO of Wayne Enterprises, after changing the name of course, will be to take a more hands-on approach in making sure that the people we dump into Arkham stay in Arkham." Kate said.
"What did you have in mind? Bruce asked.
"I think that we need to speak with the city about maybe working out some sort of deal with the city to make sure that the idiots we put in Arkham stay there." Kate said.
"Kate, trust me, I've tried that. I've poured more than a quarter of my fortune into Arkham and those bastards keep finding new ways out." Bruce said.
"It can't hurt to try." Kate said and Bruce nodded.
"Well, after tomorrow, it's not my problem anymore." Bruce said with a chuckle.
"Who knows maybe this time it'll work." Luke said.
"Whatever, I did not bring you down here to talk about what to do with Arkham, I brought you down here because I thought you'd be interested to see what I had Luke make." Bruce said with a chuckle.
"Let me guess, instead of modifying your hand me downs, you had Luke make me my own batsuit." Kate asked.
"Yep. In fact, I've already moved Bruce's suit to storage, take a look." Luke said as Kate turned to see her very familiar black and red batsuit on the display.
"Well, that looks very familiar." Kate said as she walked up to the suit.
"I thought you'd seem more excited." Luke said.
"Sorry, it's just after wearing this for a whole month, this thing has kind of lost its thrill. Though after seeing what everyone else's costumes could do, I think this thing is due for an upgrade." Kate said.
"What kind of upgrade?" Luke asked.
"Well for starters, we have got to find a way to make this thing portable, since having to come here whenever I need to change from Kate Kane to Batwoman wastes time." Kate said.
"You're not wrong, but unfortunately, Lucius was the only person who understood this tech well enough to make those kind of upgrades and he was taken from us before he had a chance to look into that." Bruce said.
"Speaking of which, why did you never look further into Lucius's death?" Kate asked, since knowing what she did now from the Executioner, it was way too obvious that Reggie Harris had been framed.
"Trust me, I am already beating myself for missing that." Bruce assured her.
"How sure are we that Reggie Harris didn't kill my dad?" Luke asked, since while he knew that Stanton and the others were corrupt, he didn't want to think about the fact that his dad's killer was still free.
"We all know it's true. And Luke I promise, we will find your dad's killer, but first, we're gonna get Reggie Harris and all the other people that unholy cabal locked up. But first, I need to get this upgraded. Bruce, do you think you can handle watching Gotham a little longer?" Kate asked and Bruce nodded.
"Yeah, besides, it gives me more time to make my exit a bit more graceful." Bruce said and Kate nodded.
"I'm going with you, since I want to see why you think someone else can upgrade your suit better than I can?" Luke asked and Kate rolled her eyes, since Luke was clearly jealous.
"Because we're going to National City to talk to a guy who apparently is from the future." Kate said.
"Okay, now I really want to meet this guy." Luke said with a smile that clearly meant he was geeking out, causing Kate to roll her eyes again.
"Okay, well before you leave, why don't I give you the full tour. Including where I stashed the batmobile." Bruce said and Kate grinned, since she and Luke had been searching for where Bruce had hidden the batmobile after she became Batwoman, but they'd given up, assuming that he'd taken it with him when he left. Now it sounded like they just hadn't looked hard enough. But Kate did not care. All she cared about was that she'd finally be able to get behind the wheel of Batman's signature ride, since while her bat bike was great, she'd always wanted to drive the batmobile and now she'd get her chance.
