To say Batwoman was surprised when she saw who was waiting for her at the lit bat signal, it was none other than her ex-girlfriend and the second in command of the Crows, Sophie Moore.

"This isn't a trap by your boss is it? An attempt to take the new bat?" Batwoman asked her, since she would not put it past her father to do that.

"No. Commander Kane doesn't even know I'm here and I'd like to keep that way." Sophie said, and that got Batwoman's attention.

"Okay, you've got me interested. What's going on?" Batwoman asked.

"I need your help with this." Sophie said as she held out a tablet to Batwoman, who took it and saw it was about several missing child cases.

"Missing children?" Batwoman asked.

"I think they were abducted." Sophie said.

"This doesn't seem like a Crows case." Batwoman pointed out.

"It's not. A friend of mine at GCPD brought it to me, since they can't really afford to tackle it on top of everything else and it's not a very high priority there." Sophie said.

"Missing children isn't a high priority?" Batwoman asked, surprised.

"That's the thing. Nearly all of these kids are orphans or runaways, GCPD doesn't think they're in trouble, they think they just ran away and unfortunately not only is this case outside of the Crows' district, but it's also not something we make money off of and the Crows don't see it as a priority, so I can't get the resources I need to look into this. But you can. I understand that with the recent breakout from Arkham you've got your hands full, but I was hoping that you might be able to look into it." Sophie said.

"This is definitely worth my time. If only to confirm that these kids really are runaways, but I have a feeling that you might be onto something after all." Batwoman said, since missing kids was definitely something in her wheelhouse. Especially since she knew this was something that Bruce would look into.

"I know this might not seem worth the time, but." Kate said after she told Helena, Luke and Mary about their new mission.

"I'm already hacking into GCPD's system to find out what else they have." Luke said, sitting down at the bat computer.

"We really need to get that Brainy guy out here for our batcave upgrade." Helena said.

"Trust me, I'm working on it, but you guys agree with the mission?" Kate asked, a bit surprised, since she honestly thought that they'd be telling her that they needed to focus on the Arkham escapees.

"Kate, we have zero leads on any of the Bat villains that busted out of Arkham and this is the kind of case dad would take back in the day." Helena said.

"Especially if he was looking for Robin 3.0 since both Dick and Jason were cases like this." Luke added.

"Let's not go that far yet. I literally just became Batwoman a few weeks ago, not sure I'm ready to establish a Robin quite yet. Besides, I have Huntress as my sidekick." Kate said with a smile, just to get a rise out of Helena.

"Partner you mean. You might be the city's title hero, but I'm not your sidekick." Helena corrected, even though she knew that Kate only said that to get a reaction from her.

"Whatever. I'm glad you guys approve." Kate said.

"I think that I'll definitely be leaking this story to Dana Dewitt about how the Crows don't care about cases like this. That should put some real heat on dad." Mary said and Kate chuckled.

"Just stay anonymous." Kate said and Mary nodded.

"On it. I think it's time that Gotham starts to see Commander Kane the way we do." Mary said and Kate nodded.

"If you're done with that, I've got something." Luke said, pulling up surveillance footage of a comic book stand in Gotham park.

"What are we looking at?" Kate asked.

"Surveillance footage of the most recent victim. A thirteen year old black girl, who like all the others is in the foster care system. She disappeared from Gotham park about a week ago." Luke said.

"What's her name?" Helena asked.

"Ryan Wilder." Luke said.
