Ruby loved Saturdays. Saturdays were her day to do whatever she wanted. Normally she would use her Saturdays to train, but seeing as she had quite the eventful night, Ruby really wanted to just relax today. She was almost done with her second year at Signal, and Yang had almost graduated. Yang would be gone for most of the day today to apply for Beacon, Ruby was still too young to apply so she wouldn't be able to join her sister. Taiyang liked to sleep in on Saturdays, so Ruby had the entire day to herself.

There was something she wanted to do however, she wanted to visit the apartment building that burned down last night and maybe help with recovery efforts. Of course, she would have to do this as Ruby Rose rather than Spider-Woman seeing as it was illegal to be a vigilante. She managed to save five people from the flaming structure, she was fairly confident that everyone made it out safely, her Spider-Sense would've told her otherwise.

Ruby slipped into her costume and put her casual clothes over it, just because she didn't intend to suit up didn't mean that she shouldn't be prepared. After stuffing her mask in her pocket, Ruby jumped down the stairs.

"First, breakfast." Ruby was too lazy to cook right now, so she just threw a pop-tart in the toaster and poured herself a glass of milk before powering on the television. "Let's see, cartoons, sports, politics, Spider-Woman, movies, cooking...wait." Ruby's thoughts ground to a halt as she processed what she had just seen. With shaking hands, Ruby flipped back to the channel that displayed a costumed hero swinging into a burning apartment building.

Ruby raised the volume as the newscaster spoke.

"Late last night, an unfortunate accident occurred at the apartment building behind me which caused it to go up in flames. The reason for the fire is currently unknown. Things were looking dire for a few of the residents still trapped in the building, but fortunately for them, they were saved by a costumed vigilante. Nothing is known about this hero besides her hero moniker, Spider-Woman. This 'Spider-Woman' lept into action without hesitation and managed to extract five citizens from the flames. No bodies were recovered from the wreckage, so we believe that everyone made it out safely. A woman that was saved by this hero has agreed to share her experience with her."

The camera shifted from the newscaster to a woman covered in bandages and ash. "I had no idea what was happening, I was asleep and all of a sudden I felt really hot and my room was really bright. By the time I woke up, my entire room was up in flames with the door already blocked off. I had to use my shirt to filter some air, I was sure I was going to die." The woman had tears in her eyes upon remembering what would've been her final moments.

"Then out of nowhere, this masked stranger smashed my door clean off its hinges and rushed to my rescue. I remember her telling me that everything was going to be okay, and I believed her. She smashed open the window and jumped out with me in her arms and brought me to safety. After rescuing me, she jumped right back into the flames and managed to rescue a family of three all by herself. It was amazing." The woman said in awe.

The camera shifted back to the reporter. "No one knows who this hero is, but it's clear that five lives would've been lost without her interference." The woman spoke softly to the camera before adding some final words.

"Right now all of Vale is asking the same question. Who is this masked stranger and what will she do next?"

Ruby stared at the television for what felt like an eternity, but in reality, it couldn't have been longer than one minute. She knew that her actions would've made the news but she didn't expect everyone to make such a big deal about it. Sure, she saved some lives but she expected to only make it into the newspaper. She never expected to be on TV so quickly.

POP

Ruby was ripped from her thoughts when the noise of the toaster popping out its contents resonated throughout the kitchen. After grabbing her breakfast and downing her milk, Ruby dashed for the front door with Crescent Rose strapped to her back.

Ruby needed to be extra careful now that she was a known figure in Vale. Sure she was only in the news once, but the VNN was the largest news network in Vale. There was no way that there weren't at least a couple hundred-thousand people watching the morning news while drinking their morning coffee. She would need to avoid huntsmen in the future, she didn't want to beat up people that were just trying to do their job.

Come to think of it, could she actually beat a Huntsman? While her spider powers definitely gave her an edge, there was no doubt that any Huntsman would be more skilled in combat compared to her. She was still a 15-year-old girl who was still in training. She was easily stronger and faster than most Huntsmen, but would that be enough to pull out a win? "I guess it all comes down to if my Spider-Sense is quick enough to allow me to react to attacks from a superior fighter."

There's also no way that she could bring Crescent Rose with her while she was in costume. That would be the quickest way to tell everyone who she was. So she would either have to make a new weapon or just rely on her fists. Or maybe I could add devices on my wrists that would infuse dust into my webbing. That would grant me a lot more options in battle. Or maybe I could create a wrist-mounted device that will cause my webbing to be released differently, a web grenade sounds awesome, or maybe I could...ok ok ok that's enough geeking out for a while.

Why did she have to be such a nerd? That's the main reason why she had no friends, no one wanted to be friends with the shy nerdy Ruby Rose. She wasn't the only nerd in school, oh no no no, but she was the only one that was very passionate about her interests. She would often ramble on and on about weapons or comics or video games. That was usually enough to get most people to not want to be her friend. Those that did stick around were usually boys that wanted to get closer to her sister.

It's hard to make friends when your sister is so awesome. Yang was always better than her, prettier than her, more skilled than her. Ruby loved her sister more than life itself but that didn't mean that she never got jealous of her sister's talents. I guess I've got nothing to be jealous of now, considering I'm many times stronger than Yang, but I wish I could make a friend that didn't want to be friends just so they could get close to Yang.

Ruby was pulled from her depressing thoughts when she came upon the charred remains of what was once a five-story apartment building. It was sad to look at. In a single night, the livelihoods of many were burnt to the ground, all because of one mistake that could've been easily avoided. Many lives were almost lost yesterday as well. They were lucky that she showed up when she did. Another minute later and she might've not been able to save everyone before the building collapsed.

Upon further inspection of the charred building, she noticed many people digging through the cooled rubble, likely looking for personal items that might've survived the inferno. It was a sad sight to see these families digging through their burnt memories.

Walking up to the rubble, Ruby was quick to assist a young woman that was struggling to lift a heavy piece of rubble. She was training to be a Huntress, so no one would question her if she was unnaturally strong.

"Please, let me help," Ruby asked politely as she gripped the remains of a wall and pretended to struggle while she lifted it off of the ground and moved it away from the woman.

The woman looked at Ruby with gratitude. "T-Thank you. I'm not exactly having the best day as you can see. I appreciate the help." The woman reached down into the hole that Ruby created and pulled out a small stuffed bear. The bear was torn in multiple places, and the left side was badly singed. It was a miracle that it was still in one piece.

The woman noticed Ruby's curious gaze. "It belongs to my little brother," The woman explained. "He'll be happy to know his favorite bear survived." It took a minute for the woman to gather her thoughts. After a moment, she sighed deeply and spoke. "I suppose I should be grateful that my entire family made it out safely, that's all I wanted. But at the same time, my home is gone, I'll have to stay at a homeless shelter for a while until they rebuild."

Ruby wished she could do more, all she could do was try to help out in little ways. She couldn't donate large amounts of money to help these people, she's only 15. "I'll be here for a while today, if you need help then just ask me." Being a hero wasn't just about saving lives, it was also about saving hope.

Turning away from the woman, Ruby's eyes scanned over the rubble to look for more people in need. She did everything she could in this situation, she would move heavy rubble, help people locate valuable items, and even help clean up when she had a free moment. After a few hours of working, Ruby was totally filthy. She had dust in her hair, her hands were blackened from the ash, and her clothes were caked in dirt. But Ruby herself didn't feel tired in the slightest. Thank you spider stamina, Ruby thought to herself.

She wasn't the only one that showed up to help, multiple volunteers just like her had come to help. Even some Huntsmen showed up to assist. A couple of the volunteers were kind enough to bring food and water for everyone who was working. It was then that Ruby realized how thirsty she was, she should've brought her own.

Deciding to take a break, Ruby took a seat under a nearby tree and opened her water. The instant the cool liquid made contact with her tongue, she couldn't stop chugging the refreshing beverage. It felt like she hadn't drunk anything in years.

"Hard day?" Called a voice from beside her. Ruby craned her neck to the left to spot a young man approaching her. He looked to be about 17 years old, with golden blonde hair that rested a bit over his shoulders. His bright blue eyes shone brightly in the afternoon sun. He wore a black hoodie with a silver and gold chest piece protecting him. He had a friendly smile and gave a friendly wave to her as he walked closer.

Oh no...human interaction! ABORT! PANIC! DEFLECT!

Ruby replied honestly and calmly despite her mounting panic. "Yeah, very hard," she said with a sigh. "Just doing my part to help this city."

The young man nodded before taking a seat next to her. As he sat down Ruby noticed a sword strapped to his waist, it looked like it had seen its fair share of battles with scratches and slight chips in the paint due to age.

"I understand," the man replied. "I like to help out whenever I get the chance, it's not often that I get to be useful to anyone."

WHAT DO I DO!? I wish I got incredible social skills as my superpower.

Ruby held out her hand and introduced herself. "My name's Ruby Rose, nice to meetcha." Ruby tried to put on her brightest smile despite the circumstances.

The man took her hand and shook it firmly before replying. "My name's Jaune Arc, short, sweet, rolls of the tongue, ladies love it," He replied with a goofy smile.

Ruby chuckled at the joke. "Do they?"

"T-They will, or at least I hope they will." The small embarrassed blush on his face wasn't convincing. He seemed friendly enough, Ruby didn't have any friends so it's not like she can compare to anyone.

Ruby eyed the sword on his waist before questioning him about it. "Are you a Huntsman in training? That sword has seen its fair share of battles." Ruby never forgot a weapon, her engineering side always wanted to learn about even the most basic of weapons. All weapons had their stories to tell. Every scratch, burn, dent, and smudge had a story behind it. The sword on Jaune's hip was clearly older than him, the paint on the sheathe is chipped in places, the color was faded, and the hilt was worn.

"Y-Yeah, I'm training to go to Beacon actually. This sword is a hand-me-down, my great-great-grandfather used it to fight in the war. I come from a long line of Huntsmen. I just want to be like them."

"Beacon? That's so cool! My big sister is going there!" Ruby squealed in excitement. "Her name's Yang, she's kinda loud and parties too much but she's friendly."

Jaune rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Well, I still gotta pass the entrance exam. I'm not guaranteed a spot yet." Jaune looked embarrassed at receiving praise. "What about you? Are you training to be a Huntress?"

"Yep!" Ruby stood up and reached behind her. "This is my baby." She said as she expanded her shining red scythe, she let the sharp tip of the blade bury itself deep into the soft dirt.

Noooooo...why did I do that? That was the one thing I wasn't supposed to do. Now he's going to run away!

"Woah! Is that a scythe?" Jaune exclaimed in shock and amazement.

...could it be?

Ruby decided to take a risk and continued gushing about her baby.

Ruby beamed with pride that someone was finally realizing how awesome her weapon is. "It's also a customizable high-impact sniper rifle."

Jaune only stared at her in confusion, clearly not understanding a word. "Wha...?"

Ruby blushed upon realizing that she was nerding out again. "I-It's also a gun," Ruby said shyly. After a few moments of embarrassed silence, Ruby decided to speak up. "What about you? What's your weapon like?"

Jaune reached to his hip to unsheathe his weapon. "I'm afraid it's not nearly as cool as yours, but I've got this sword," he said as he hefted his blade into the air. Despite the obvious wear and tear present on the weapon, it still shimmered brightly in the afternoon sun. His weapon, while old, was clearly taken care of quite well. "I've got this shield too." He pulled the sheathe from his waist only to transform it into a well-designed shield.

"Oh, so what do they do?" Ruby asked.

"W-Well...my shield gets smaller." Jaune activated some kind of mechanism on his shield to fold it back into his sheathe form. "So when I get tired of carrying it, I can just put it away." Jaune was clearly embarrassed about how simple his weapon is. Unlike most weapons nowadays, his sword only had one purpose, to slash his enemies. It had no gun, no dust enhancements, and no mecha-shift abilities apart from his shield-sheathe combo.

"But, wouldn't it still weigh the same?"

"Well yeah, but it's much easier to carry while buckled to my hip rather than on my arm."

Ruby blushed a little at not realizing that sooner. "Well I'm kind of a dork when it comes to weapons, I guess I went a little overboard in designing it." It was hardly fair to compare the two weapons. Considering that Crescent Rose is the greatest weapon in the world after all! Nothing can compare to it!

Jaune's eyes went wide at what she said. "Wait, you made that? That's so cool! You must be super talented to be able to make a weapon that awesome by yourself."

How he said that to Ruby with such genuine astonishment and wonder in his voice caused the young silver-eyed huntress's cheeks to radiate bright red from his words.

Desperate to steer the conversation away from herself and stop the blood from flowing to her face, Ruby spoke up. "W-Well your sword may not be as complicated or multifunctional as a lot of modern weapons, but I like it, not a lot of people have an appreciation for the classics these days, also it requires very little maintenance and will never malfunction because it has no moving parts. Simple but effective beats complicated and finicky every time."

"You sound like my grandfather. He never liked mecha-shift weapons for that very reason." Jaune replied

Ruby was well aware of the fact that mecha-shift weapons are prone to malfunction, that's why she was very careful when designing Crescent Rose. She went through multiple revisions and tweaks in order to make it as reliable as possible. She also regularly performed maintenance on the scythe, making sure to oil all the moving parts, and replaced old or worn-down mechanisms.

"He sounds like a wise man," Ruby replied.

Ruby and Jaune conversed for the next ten minutes about random topics that came up. Ruby learned that Jaune had seven sisters! Ruby could barely handle dealing with Yang, she could only imagine what torture Jaune had to go through dealing with all his sisters.

To Ruby's surprise, she and Jaune had a whole lot in common, they both wanted to become hunters, they were both huge nerds that loved Comics like X-Ray and Vav, which was a huge surprise to her, no one else in signal shared her interests. They both loved video games, and they both had someone who they desperately wanted to make proud. Jaune wanted to make his father proud, and Ruby wanted to make her mother proud.

They were also both socially inept people that didn't have any friends. Which made Ruby wonder why Jaune had approached her in the first place. She wasn't going to question it, if Jaune wanted to talk to her then who was she to complain?

Ruby and Jaune were so engrossed in their conversation that they failed to notice they were talking for over two hours! Ruby couldn't maintain someone's attention for more than five minutes. So for someone to willingly talk to her for two hours was mind-boggling. Jaune also looked like he was enjoying the conversation too. The only reason why they noticed how long they were talking was because of the position of the sun in the sky.

Jaune opened his mouth with a huge smile on his face. "I guess time really does fly when you're having fun. I'm glad I got to talk to you." Ruby knew he was being serious, after years of people trying to be her friend just to get close to Yang, she knew when someone was only pretending to be her friend. This wasn't one of those times. Jaune actually had a fun time with her, and Ruby genuinely enjoyed her time talking to Jaune as well.

For the first time in her life, Ruby Rose made a friend.

Ruby replied with a beaming smile. "Me too! Although I do have to ask, why did you approach me anyway?"

Jaune replied with a shrug. "Eh, why not? My mother always says strangers are just friends you haven't met yet."

Ruby chuckled. "You have a cool mom." She stood up with a grunt, stretching her arms and legs that had fallen asleep. "Anyway, I better get going, my dad is probably wondering where I am."

Jaune stood up beside Ruby, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his scroll. "Before you go, let's exchange numbers." Jaune requested with an innocent smile. Ruby happily agreed and shared her contact information with the blonde. Her contact list looked a little less bare with the new number listed. Now she had a total of four contacts.

Yang

Dad

Pizza

Jaune

Yes, her contact list was still sad, but she was happy with this improvement.

"I'll call you, I promise," Ruby said with a cheerful smile before the two parted ways.

After quickly picking up some new ammunition for Crescent Rose, as well as some oil, Ruby leisurely walked home. She would definitely be going out as Spider-Woman tonight. Her first night out as a vigilante was a sensational success. It only made sense to improve her abilities with real experience. She knew she was very strong, but she wasn't sure if she could hold her own against professional hunters. Sure, she could easily overpower any student in signal many times over. But against an opponent who was vastly superior to her in terms of pure skill, she wasn't sure if she could hold up.

She was mainly worried because she couldn't fall back on techniques that used Crescent Rose because she obviously couldn't bring her weapon with her. Her semblance was also a no go for reasons just as obvious. Her hand-to-hand combat skills were never that good...ok they sucked, but that was only because her baby was so awesome. Why would she need to use her fists when she had Crescent Rose with her at all times? Her frame was small, so she never relied on pure strength to fight, she relied on her superior agility and speed to outmaneuver her opponent.

Come to think of it, I never combined my Spider Speed with my semblance, I need to be very careful when testing that. The first time I unlocked my semblance, I gave myself a concussion and broke my everything when slamming into a tree. Using my Spider Speed and my semblance will do much more than admit me into the hospital for a few days. Thoughts for another day I suppose.

Ruby was dragged from her thoughts at the sight of a crowd of people surrounding what looked to be a dust shop. Approaching the building and using her small frame to sneak her way through the crowd, she discovered the reason why so many people were gathered in one spot.

There were multiple police cars gathered in front of the shattered windows of the building. There wasn't a single spec of dust left in the shop, it had been robbed clean. A news van had shown up at one point, likely wanting to cash in on a story. Using her enhanced senses, Ruby eavesdropped on the woman speaking to the camera.

"The latest in a long line of robberies occurred late last night at the shop behind me, known as 'Diamond's Dust Shop'. The odd thing about all these robberies is that the culprit Roman Torchwick has yet to steal a single Lien from any of these establishments, instead choosing to steal every vial of dust in sight. The authorities are working hard to apprehend this dangerous criminal. Additional security measures will be put into place in hopes of catching Torchwick in the act."

Ruby was aware of these robberies, as well as the mastermind behind them, it was hard not to know the infamous name of Roman Torchwick. He used to be a skilled huntsman in his own right, having many successful missions under his belt before he went rogue for some reason. Ruby didn't much care for the reason behind his sudden change of heart, she just knew that he had to be dealt with. This was Ruby's current objective, find and apprehend Roman Torchwick.

Finding his home base would be very hard, a guy like Torchwick isn't stupid enough to keep himself in one spot only, he likely had multiple safehouses that he could stay at. Luckily for Ruby, she didn't need to find his home base, all she needed to do was figure out where he would strike next. First, she had to rule out heavily populated areas, a thief like him isn't dumb enough to rob a shop with multiple witnesses nearby. Secondly, she wouldn't patrol around shops that had lots of huntsmen that liked to patrol nearby. Third, she would exclude the smaller dust shops, Torchwick always gets as big a haul as possible, so hitting a small shop wouldn't be a good idea. Lastly, she wouldn't look for him around areas that he had recently hit. This narrowed down her options by a lot, all that was left to do was find him.

It was dark by the time Ruby came up with a plan. Tonight she would begin her search for Roman Torchwick. With her bag of ammunition in hand, Ruby made her way home.

The soft hum of her Spider-Sense interrupted her walk. Ruby froze in place and whipped her head to the left to prepare for a fight. She expected to have to dodge a punch and counter with one of her own but instead, all she saw was a large building that appeared to be some sort of nightclub.

Why would a nightclub trigger my Spider-Sense?

Then Ruby noticed something very familiar parked a short distance from her.

Yang's motorcycle.

Ruby groaned internally as she knew full well what was about to go down. That bike obviously belonged to her sister, and Yang was no stranger to getting in bar fights. Yang didn't like to drink too often, but damn she knew how to party. She wouldn't be surprised if she saw a few guys with mild concussions and a few broken bones laying on the ground. Yang was a direct kind of person, so subtlety was not in her vocabulary.

Ruby miserably walked into the building. As expected, she saw the bouncer slumped against the wall completely unconscious. He was still breathing thankfully, but it was clear that Yang had come here with the intent to start something. I wonder why Yang came here of all places, this place is quite shady for a bar, located in the middle of nowhere in some dark part of Vale.

Yang got in trouble quite often with local authorities. It was never for anything major like assault, but she would be charged with underage drinking on more than a few occasions and for parking her motorcycle in illegal parking spots. Those never went on her permanent record because of how minor the crimes were thankfully, but if Yang decided that it would be a good idea to beat up a bar full of people then things could go south real fast.

After sparing the unconscious bouncer one more glance, as well as a check of his pulse to make sure he was still alive, Ruby made her way through the double doors into the main dancing area. As far as clubs go, it was actually very below average, or at least what Ruby assumed was below average, she never went to clubs to hang with friends so it's not like she can compare. There was a large dance floor in the center of the room with a DJ booth situated behind it. There was a bar located to the left of the dance floor as well. The music that was playing was quite good, it even sounded familiar to Ruby. What made the club below average was the complete absence of color anywhere in the club, everything was black and white, occasionally the lights above the dance floor would paint the room red for a few seconds but that was about it. Even the people were boring to look at.

What made this club interesting however was the massive fight that was taking place on the dance floor. Multiple men in red glasses and black suits were scattered about the room, with even more converging on one figure that was fighting them all off single-handedly.

Her sister, Yang-Xiao-Long.

Ruby knew this was going to happen, but that didn't mean that she was ready to deal with it. When Yang wanted something, she either got what she wanted or beat up someone for being unable to provide it. Considering the multiple groaning bodies laying about the room in various physical states, Ruby was pretty confident in guessing that Yang didn't get what she wanted.

Ruby knew that she was going to have to get involved at some point, she just hoped that her sister would be finished before she had to intervene. Yang was currently battling a pair of girls in some crazy over-the-top outfits. They were twins from what Ruby could tell, they wore matching outfits with the only differentiating feature being the color.

The pair launched a flurry of punches and kicks at her sister, she was obviously having a bit of a hard time dealing with them. Yang was a great fighter, but she wasn't too great at dealing with opponents who specialized in kicks. This was clear from Yang's performance against the twins.

The red twin launched a kick to the back of Yang's head, Yang ducked out of the way only to be met with a devastating strike to the nose by the white twin's knee. Yang corrected herself midair and blasted toward the pair with a quick discharge of the Ember Celica. Striking the ground with amazing force, causing the ground to splinter and creating a shockwave that Ruby could feel from a good distance away. The shockwave caused the twins to stagger for a moment, this small opening was all Yang needed as she blasted toward the white twin, burying her fist into her stomach while discharging Ember Celica to add extra damage. The white twin was launched like a rocket into her sister with devastating force. Aura flared to life to prevent any real damage to the twins, as they collapsed into a groaning mess on the ground.

Ruby must've arrived toward the end of the fight, as Yang was already looking quite tired. Yang could train for many hours at a time, so either her opponents were tougher than they looked or she had been fighting for a while.

Without warning, Ruby's Spider-Sense buzzed loudly in the back of her skull. Immediately alert, Ruby scanned her surroundings for danger, it wasn't long before she spotted a tall man in red glasses on top of the DJ booth carrying a massive rocket launcher.

It was aimed directly at her exhausted sister.

Reacting in an instant, Ruby blasted toward her sister with her semblance, getting a firm grip with her adhesive hands, Ruby moved out of the way with her sister in her arms just in time for the rocket to explode directly behind her, launching her forward.

Aura protected both of them from the explosion and heat, but it didn't completely nullify the pain that the explosion brought. Every nearby window shattered from the force of the blast, tables were knocked over and liquor bottles exploded, spilling the contents within.

Ruby's enhanced vision proved to be a weakness in this case because the bright flash from the rocket had overloaded her senses and temporarily blinded her. Her Spider-Sense didn't stop buzzing so she knew she was still in danger.

Ruby stood protectively over Yang while she allowed her vision to clear up. Once it did, she saw the flaming wreck of what once was a bustling nightclub. Bits of brick and stone were scattered everywhere, shattered glass was littering the concrete, smoke was billowing into the sky, and all the goons that Yang had beaten up ran out of one of the many holes blasted into the brickwork.

"Ruby?"

Ruby looked down at her sister, she was bleeding in some places and bruised in others. She wasn't doing so well. "Hey Yang, talk about crashing the party huh?" She replied with a small smile on her face. "You have a lot of explaining to do, but that can wait for now." Ruby reached behind her and grabbed the transforming scythe from its spot on her back.

The man with the rocket launcher slowly emerged from the acrid smoke. There was a new rocket already loaded up into the weapon and it was ready to be unleashed.

"Don't worry Yang, I've got this."

Ruby couldn't give the man time to react, a single second could be all the difference between life and death. Now was the time for action. Ruby activated her semblance and launched herself toward the dangerous man. Time seemed to slow down for the young huntress as her enhanced senses allowed her to think much faster than anyone else. With one quick motion from Crescent Rose, she slammed upwards into the rocket launcher, causing it to discharge into the sky above.

Not wasting another second, Ruby slammed the blunt end of her baby into the man's temple, dropping him to the concrete like a sack of bricks. The rocket that was launched continued its path upwards into the sky before exploding into a brilliant flash of fire and hot metal. Ruby covered her eyes in order to not be blinded a second time. If the authorities didn't know what was going on before, then they sure do now. They had to leave as fast as possible.

"Y-Yang, we should leave before the cops get here," Ruby said in a panicked voice as she approached her older sister. Yang was way ahead of her, she quickly ran over to her motorcycle which had somehow managed to remain undamaged throughout that entire ordeal. Ruby hopped on right behind her sister as she started the engine. Ruby could already see the flashing Red and Blue lights approaching.

Yang pulled away from the flaming wreck with incredible recklessness. She wasn't concerned about road safety laws right now, she was only concerned with not going to jail. Pulling away from the club, Yang couldn't help but mutter under her breath.

"I never got my Strawberry Sunrise."

Ruby groaned.

The ride home was spent in uncomfortable silence. Upon arriving home, Yang parked her bike and sighed loudly. "I guess we're talking about this huh?" Yang mumbled.

Ruby responded by giving her sister an annoyed glare, a cross of her arms, and her tapping her foot impatiently. Yang was always the reckless type that ran headfirst into situations without thinking of the consequences of her actions, but this was too much. Yang got into fights often, mostly it was just her beating up boys that looked at her like a piece of meat. Never had she gotten into a bar fight that ended up with the entire building going up in flames.

Their staredown lasted two minutes before it was clear to Yang that Ruby wasn't going to back down. With a loud exhale of breath, Yang spoke. "I just wanted information, I heard that Junior's was the place to go when you needed it. I went there expecting to be in and out with what I wanted, but clearly, things didn't go as planned."

Ruby nodded her head in understanding. "What did you want to know so bad that it caused you to trash a club and beat up so many people?" Yang immediately scowled, whatever it was she was looking for, it was clearly a touchy subject for her sister.

"Sorry Ruby, but this is something I need to do myself. I don't want you getting involved in my problems." Ruby expected an answer like that, but that didn't mean she was any less disappointed. Yang wasn't too hard to read, but when she really wanted to keep something hidden, then she was damn good at making sure no one found out. Even Ruby's puppy dog eyes proved completely ineffective on Yang in such a situation.

"Look, I promise I won't do something like that again. I was angry, and things just got out of hand, I don't normally lose my temper that easily," Yang said. Yang did have a point, she would only lose her temper that easily when it came to her family.

"Why did you get so angry anyway? Did they refuse to answer your questions or something?" Ruby could imagine Yang getting angry if someone had refused to provide her with the information she desperately needed.

"N-No, they...didn't know anything, that's why I got angry," Yang replied miserably.

Ruby would've thought she misheard if it wasn't for her super hearing. She stared at Yang with her mouth agape before forcing herself to speak. "W-Wait...You trashed a club, beat up dozens of people, literally brought the roof down, and needed me to bail you out, all because of something that they had no control over?!" Ruby practically yelled at her sister.

Yang at least had the decency to blush a little upon realizing how irrational she was. "W-Well when you put it like that it sounds stupid," Yang replied getting even redder.

Never before had Ruby wanted to punch Yang in the face more.

"You're lucky I was there," Ruby chastised her sister, "You could've been badly hurt had I not pulled you out of the way." Ruby didn't normally scold her sister, but that was because Yang never did anything that warranted a telling-off by her. Yang was normally the one who would scold Ruby for doing something dumb like that time she tried to make homemade cookies and used salt instead of sugar.

Yang sent her sister a soft smile, despite everything that happened tonight, Yang was still her sister, and she loved her very much. The blonde huntress pulled her younger sister into an embrace before she could react. "Thanks for the save tonight Ruby, I don't know what id do without you, I love you."

Ruby happily returned the embrace that her sister held her in. Yang drove her crazy, but at the end of the day, Yang still raised her into the young woman that she had become today. No amount of arguing could take away the love that Ruby had for her.

They separated at the sound of Ruby's stomach yelling at her to get something to eat. Ruby blushed a bit at the volume of her stomach, but Yang only burst out into laughter. "HaHa! Someone sounds hungry. I bet you haven't eaten all day," Yang said while poking Ruby in the stomach teasingly.

Her newly acquired superpowers did little for how ticklish Ruby was, some things never change. "W-Well...I am a little hungry."

Following her sister inside, Ruby dashed over to the fridge to examine it for something tasty. Being too lazy to cook, Ruby just threw a frozen pizza in the oven. Pizza was the god of all foods, she'd never get tired of it.

After devouring the entire pizza, Ruby ran upstairs and grabbed a shower. After working in the ash and rubble all day, Ruby desperately needed one. Ruby still needed to get used to her new body. She still took a few minutes every time she saw herself in the mirror to admire her physique. Ruby needed to buy new clothes because of it, it was quite an annoying ordeal but it was necessary.

After getting out of the shower, Ruby used her enhanced hearing to determine if her family was asleep. Yang's heartbeat and breathing were slowed, the same was true for her father. The coast was clear, they were both asleep.

Ruby threw her costume on and jumped out the window.

Vale was beautiful at night, it was quite clean for a major city, so there was little pollution in the air, as such, she could see every star sparkle in the sky, the light that reflected off of the shattered moon was a beautiful white. She made her mask thin so she could still breathe easily, the crisp cool air had no scent but still was pleasant to breathe in through her nose.

Ruby was currently perched on top of a tall building surveying her surroundings. There were few citizens out this late, mostly just people getting home late from work and homeless people. Occasionally a car would drive by but otherwise, it was quiet. But that was exactly what Ruby wanted, she was currently hunting for infamous criminal Roman Torchwick. After thinking about her options for a while on where the criminal would likely strike next, she determined that a quiet place far away from any of his past hits would be perfect for a robbery tonight.

Of course that still left multiple options for where he would hit next, so it was up to her Spider-Sense to tell her where danger was occurring. There were only about four places nearby that Torchwick would most likely strike next. So she set herself up a roughly equal distance from all four and expanded the range of her Spider-Sense to cover all of them. It was very exhausting to keep it up for long periods of time, so she would only expand her Spider-Sense in short bursts to conserve energy.

What the hell kind of spider bit me to give me all these amazing abilities? The wall-crawling and webs make sense as they related to a spider, but how the hell did I get super strength? Yeah, spiders can lift many times their own body weight, but that's only because they're so small. Their muscles aren't better than human muscles at all. Also what the hell is up with the Spider-Sense? Spiders could NOT detect danger before it happened. Although Spiders are the second most vibration-sensitive creature on the planet, second only to the cockroach. But how does that translate to an amazing precognition ability?"

I wonder if I have any more abilities that I haven't discovered yet. Only time will tell I suppose.

Ruby was pulled from her thoughts at the familiar feeling of her Spider-Sense flaring to life. It wasn't pointing her to the nearby dust shops, but rather only a few blocks away from her current location. Bending her knees and jumping with all her might, Ruby ejected a thick line of sticky spider silk and started swinging toward the danger. Reaching the apex of her swing, Ruby let go of the web and allowed physics to take hold of her body. Gravity pulled her toward the ground at speeds that would surely kill her had she not had any aura.

Ruby would've smashed into the concrete had her Spider-Sense not alerted her. Reacting quickly, Ruby fired a web line at the corner of a building and swung back up right before she smashed into the ground.

Ruby had plenty of momentum now as she rapidly approached her destination. Upon arrival, Ruby perched herself on a telephone pole overlooking a dark alleyway. She was quick to spot three men with knives all converging on one figure on his knees.

"Wallet, Now! Your phone too, and that watch," Yelled one of the attackers. The victim with shaky hands reached into his pocket and pulled out an expensive-looking wallet.

"H-H-Here, t-take it. Please d-don't hurt me."

"Shut up!" Another attacker yelled as he made to throw a kick at the terrified man.

He never got the chance to as his leg was suddenly wrapped in a prison of spider silk. "What the he-" His words were ripped out of his mouth as his face was webbed up and the Spider-Woman swept his feet out from under him and threw a devastating left hook to the man's jaw. Spider-Woman made sure to pull her punch a lot, it wouldn't be good for her to kill anybody, these were bad people but they didn't deserve to die.

Unfortunately, she didn't hold back enough as several teeth flew from the man's mouth, and his jaw was dislocated with a horrifying crunch. On the bright side, he was out cold instantly so he wouldn't feel any pain. "Oops, my bad man, I didn't mean to hit you that hard." She received no reply from the body, what she did receive however was a warning from her Spider-Sense coming from behind her.

Whipping her head to the side, Spider-Woman allowed a sharp blade to soar past her cheek. Snapping her hand upwards, she caught the mugger's wrist in a bone-crushing grip. Pulling with a fraction of her total strength, Spider-Woman flipped the attacker around and slammed him into the concrete so hard that a cloud of dust exploded outwards from the point of impact. All air was driven from the man's lungs as he hit the ground. Spider-Woman wasted no time in encasing him in a net of webbing to keep him stuck to the floor.

Turning around, she came face to face with the final attacker. He was sweating bullets, terrified of the masked vigilante.

"Your move," said the Spider-Woman.

Heh, I bet that sounded super cool!

The final attacker debated whether or not he should charge the Spider-Woman. She was clearly stronger, faster, tougher, and smarter than him so charging without a plan would be a bad idea. He eventually decided to haul ass in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, he didn't make it two steps before his foot was trapped in webbing. The man fell to the floor with a startled yell, his face smacked into the concrete breaking his nose in the process.

Not seeing any reason to drag this game out any longer than it needed to, the Spider-Woman wrapped his body in a prison of webbing.

The Spider-Woman examined her handiwork. She used a little too much strength in this fight and probably gave one of them a concussion. One of them was bleeding from the mouth with teeth scattered across the concrete.

Eventually, she spotted the leather wallet that belonged to the victim. Ejecting a thin web line to the wallet, it rapidly retracted into the gloved hand of the Spider-Woman. She turned around and saw the man on his rear, looking at her with awe-filled eyes.

She walked over to the awe-struck man and handed his wallet back to him. "I believe this belongs to you."

After a moment, the man regained the ability to speak. "Y-Yes, t-thank you so much."

The man reached out and shakily took his wallet back. He didn't appear to be injured at all, just a little shaken up from the mugging. "Um...w-who are you?"

Spider-Woman pointed to herself. "Who, me? I'm Spider-Woman," the vigilante proclaimed proudly.

"Can you call the cops for me? I'd rather not leave the three stooges laying here bleeding all night," Spider-Woman asked.

The man chuckled nervously at her joke. "S-Sure, no problem."

"Have a nice night sir," Spider-Woman said with a wave before jumping high into the air and swinging away.

After Ruby had reached a safe distance away from the attack, she allowed her calm and collected attitude to crumble away, she immediately started breathing heavily and tried to calm down her frantically beating heart.

I can't believe that just happened!

Ruby needed to adopt a personality while performing her vigilante activities, a hero was supposed to instill hope into scared civilians, so it wouldn't do for her to act like a scared child whenever she got into a fight. So she needed to pick a method to make people feel safe.

Ruby made her choice.

She chose something so horrifying, so unspeakably terrible that it made her shiver just thinking about it. She had nightmares about becoming this type of person since she was nine. She never in a million years ever thought that she would even consider becoming this type of person. Even now, she was second-guessing her decision.

She would...she would have to...

Act like Yang.

Yang displayed a quality that all heroes should have, confidence. She practically oozed confidence. Even in rough situations, she would still find the time to make a joke. So Ruby decided to hide how scared she was by emulating her behavior. She decided to loudly taunt her enemies and would always make a joke when such an opportunity presented itself. This was perfect because if she made jokes in the middle of a bad situation, then the people she was trying to save would know that the Spider-Woman had it all under control. Because who would make jokes when they were scared?

It would take her a while to be able to throw out witty one-liners one after the other with ease, but she had all the time in the world to practice, also she could just copy material from Yang if she needed to, not that she would ever do that, she was already terrified of the thought of acting like her sister, she wasn't about to stoop even further by copying her jokes. She would make her own jokes, and unlike Yang's, hers would actually be good.

After arriving back at the rooftop she left from, Ruby took a seat and pulled out her scroll. It was only 11 p.m., she had only been out for about an hour. Thank god it's Saturday, even though I have enhanced stamina, I can still get tired like an ordinary person. Although I could probably operate as Spider-Woman for three days without rest thanks to my Spider-Stamina and Aura.

Ruby decided to pass the time by playing some games on her scroll. Occasionally she would intensify her Spider-Sense to check her surroundings for danger, mainly Roman and his goons.

After completing a particularly difficult level in her game, Ruby felt the familiar tingle of her Spider-Sense directing her in the direction of one of the dust shops she was surveying. Ruby knew it was finally time to jump into action. This would be her first tough fight since she had gotten her powers. During combat classes at Signal, she would always hold back and draw the fight out for longer before striking the final blow. This was to ensure that no one would notice a sudden meteoric rise in ability from the young huntress, but if this was Torchwick that her Spider-Sense was pointing her to, then this would be her toughest fight yet.

Without a second thought, Spider-Woman jumped off the rooftop and swung into the distance.

Professionals have standards.

Those were words that Roman Torchwick lived by, even someone as morally corrupt as he knew where to draw the line. He would never injure or kill someone who didn't attempt to attack him, everyone who listened to instructions and cooperated would survive with no injuries. Even when he was forced to attack or even kill someone, he would try to make it as painless as possible.

He would pay his subordinates what they were worth, he would never short-change anyone. This was to ensure that they trusted him and remained loyal to him.

Up until recently, one of his standards was to never steal from someone who didn't deserve it. Stealing from someone just trying to make a living for themselves and their family wasn't something that he would ever do. Not only was there no money to be made there, but if he was ever caught then that would only make his case worse.

That was until 'She' came along.

Roman was minding his own business when out of nowhere, this no-name woman came in and said she had a proposal for him. Roman was no fool, this wasn't the first time some random nobody came up to him wanting a piece of his pie. But like always, he decided to humor her, who knows, maybe it would actually be worth it.

She wanted him and his men to work with her on a special project but when he pushed her on knowing more about this project, she refused. This was when Roman decided to end the conversation. If she didn't want to share the information then she didn't need his help.

Then she completely kicked his ass.

Not only that, but she managed to kick the shit out of Neopolitan and him at the same time. It wasn't even a fight, it was the equivalent of a fully trained and powerful huntsman against a toddler that was missing its limbs. She wasn't even trying.

For the first time in many many years, Roman Torchwick was scared.

She told him in no uncertain terms that if he refused to comply then she would kill him and Neo. Roman was a spiteful man, he would have gladly sacrificed his own life to make sure this bitch didn't get what she wanted, but he would never sacrifice his partner in crime to do so. So with little choice in the matter, he agreed to her terms.

She wanted dust, a lot of dust. Roman had never stolen dust specifically before, sure if he was robbing somebody and they had some high-quality dust on hand then he would take it. But he would never orchestrate a heist only to ignore all the money and only take dust. It was a hassle to find someone willing to buy dust from him when they could just do it legally. Sure, he would sell it at a discount but it was never worth it.

So, Roman started robbing dust shops for every spec of dust they had. He would've preferred to steal dust from shops owned by the Schnee Dust Company, but those shops were much larger than any other, and their security measures were much better too. He would need triple the men he usually brought to clean out one of their shops in the same amount of time. He wouldn't lose a single second of sleep on robbing the SDC, their CEO was a corrupt asshole who would make his employees, Human or Faunus, work in terribly unsafe conditions just to save a few Lien. The SDC deserved to be robbed.

That wasn't an option right now, so Roman was forced to rob the 'little guys'. Their shops had little security, were much smaller, and were open longer so they could make more money.

Roman looked down the street at a building packed with dust that he planned on picking clean. Several men behind him were armed and ready, they all had their orders and they were expected to follow them. He approached the shop with a cocky smirk on his face and a cigar in his mouth. Before entering the building, he snuffed out his cigar due to the sprinkler system that was mandatory to be installed in dust shops.

The bell chimed with a soft ring as he pushed open the door, and all of his men followed him inside. The owner was an elderly man that looked to be in his late 70s, the entire top of his head was bald, while the rest of his head had way too much hair. He looked at Roman and his thugs with a happy smile.

"Hello, welcome to 'From Dust Till Dawn', how can I he-" The man paused as all color drained from his face. Roman walked up to the counter while simultaneously surveying his surroundings. This shop was a little bigger than most he would raid, but it would be doable.

"Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a dust shop open this late?" Roman asked the man sarcastically. He prided himself on being a gentleman, even when robbing people blind. This was no exception. Yelling at someone and pointing a gun at their head would only make them more likely to panic, so he would be polite and respectful.

The clerk rose his hands over his head and regained the ability to speak. "P-Please, just take my Lien and leave," the man replied with a trembling voice. Good, this guy wouldn't try to play hero, that would make this much easier.

"Shh shh shh, we're not here for your money," Roman spoke softly. That didn't appear to calm the man down any, but he didn't expect it to. He turned his head to address the company he brought with him. "Grab the dust," he commanded.

Without another word, all of his men went around collecting every spec of dust in the shop. They moved with experience and fluidity, never once stumbling or moving past an important spot. Roman opened the case he brought with him and pushed it to the owner. "Please fill this up for me, I'd appreciate it very much," he said with a soft smile. The man only hesitated for a second before he started to fill up the case with shimmering crystals of the highly explosive dust.

I love it when a plan comes together, Roman thought to himself, there was no better feeling than everything going exactly the way you wanted.

The man finished packing the case full of dust crystals. "Pleasure doing business with you. Come on boys, we're all set." Roman surveyed the shop expecting to see his men all finished with their work. Instead what he was greeted with was an empty shop. Roman knew something was wrong instantly, there's no way his men would've just run away, and even if they did Roman would've seen them leave.

Cautiously walking to the corner of the shop with his weapon drawn, Roman expected to see a huntsman trying to save the day, once again he was greeted with absolutely nothing, the shop was empty.

It was only thanks to his huntsman-trained senses that he was able to hear a soft and muffled mumbling noise coming from above him. Craning his neck ever so slightly upwards, he discovered something he definitely wasn't expecting. All of the men that he brought with him were wrapped in a cocoon of spider silk hanging upside down from the ceiling.

Roman reacted just in time to avoid a powerful blow aimed directly at the back of his head.

Spider-Woman arrived at her destination just in time to spot a group of thugs entering the dust shop. She needed a plan and she needed one fast. If she hesitated then someone could get seriously hurt.

Let's see, I can't just run in there and beat up everybody, the employees could get hurt if someone manages to get a hold of them. I can't just call the police, not only will they be able to track my scroll and discover who I am, but there's no way they'll get here in time. Letting them leave the shop might be the safest solution, then I can fight them without innocents nearby, but that leaves a bigger chance of them getting away with the dust. I think my best option is sneaking in and taking them out one at a time from the shadows. It's a good thing my costume isn't too bright.

Making her decision, Spider-Woman lept into action. Approaching the building from the side, she quickly located a vent that led inside. Prying off the cover with little effort, Spider-Woman crawled inside. Ugh, my costume is going to get filthy, cleaning it is going to be a pain, ugh whatever. Navigating through the dusty vents, Spider-Woman spotted light leaking through the vent cover on the other side.

Peaking through the vent Spider-Woman spotted a total of five men, four of them were dressed in black suits with black hats and red glasses. The last one was dressed in a pristine white suit with black gloves and a black bowl hat with a red stripe running around it. His hair was bright orange with bright green eyes. Spider-Woman recognized that man anywhere. "Roman Torchwick," She said with a sneer.

"Grab the dust," she heard the man say. The four goons dispersed and began to gather all the dust that was available in the shop. She decided that now was the perfect time to act, the men were dispersed so it would be easy to pick them off one at a time without anyone knowing.

Quitely popping off the vent cover and climbing out, Spider-Woman started to scale the ceiling of the shop. Ok, how am I gonna do this? If I leave them on the floor then that leaves a chance for their buddies to spot them. I guess I gotta tie them to the ceiling.

Spider-Woman was now directly above one of the thugs. Taking careful aim, she shot a ball of webbing to cover his mouth and a web line to his back to yank him off of the ground. Spinning him midair, she wrapped his entire body in webbing before sticking him to the ceiling. That was easy, that's one down and four to go.

Crawling along the ceiling to a pair of thugs gathering dust she aimed her hands before pausing. I think I can get them both at once, I need a new plan. Thinking quickly, she released her hold on the ceiling a dropped down behind the thugs.

Before they could even register what was happing, Spider-Woman knocked them out instantly with two powerful blows to the back of their heads. She grabbed them before they could strike the ground and alert anyone, and jumped to the ceiling to get out of anyone's line of sight. She wrapped them in webs and stuck them to the ceiling before taking a quiet sigh. Ok, only two left.

Disposing of the last thugs was easy, all that remained was Roman Torchwick. Glancing in his direction indicated to her that he had noticed his goons had gone missing. Pulling out his cane, Roman slowly walked around the shop, looking for his men. Dropping from the ceiling with a quiet thud, Spider-Woman hid behind shelves in order to attempt to get the jump on Roman. Using her enhanced hearing, she tracked Roman through his footsteps.

After Roman came to a stop, she peeked around the corner to discover that Roman found the thugs that she webbed to the ceiling. Deciding that now was the moment to act, Spider-Woman quietly exited her hiding spot and threw her fist at the back of Roman's head.

Roman was barely able to react in time, he whipped his head to the left in an attempt to avoid the devastating blow coming from behind. The fist aimed at him grazed his cheek and struck his aura before Roman could move out of the way.

Jumping backward to create distance from his attacker, Roman aimed at her without a second thought. Before he even had the chance to fire, Spider-Woman's Spider-Sense buzzed in a warning. Ducking away from the powerful dust round, she ran towards the wanted man. He was able to dodge the fist that she threw at his head and attempted to counter by swinging his cane to her neck. Spider-Woman caught his wrist with a grunt and squeezed.

She could see the panic on Roman's face, his eyes widened in surprise at her reflexes. She began to punch him in the face before she was forced to disengage when he brought the barrel of his cane to her head. Spinning herself to avoid the bullet that whizzed past her head, she used the momentum from her spin to bring Roman with her and spun him around before releasing his arm and smashing him through the glass display window at the front of the shop.

Roman skipped across the tarmac, aura sparking with every impact. Spider-Woman jumped out of the window as Roman was getting to his feet. She and Roman stared each other down for a few moments before the Spider-Woman spoke up. "So I gotta ask, at what point during your day did you think it was a good idea to leave the house with that much eyeliner?"

Roman shook with rage. "Who the hell are you!?" He yelled.

"Who me?" She asked sarcastically. "I'm just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Woman!" She replied with a bright smile, not that he could see it with the mask, but the pep in her voice should help get the point across. "You know, I hear jail isn't so bad, but you might get bullied by the big kids on the playground for wearing that much makeup."

"Y-You dare!" Roman aimed his cane at Spider-Woman and fired many rapid shots at her head. The bullets whistled as they approached the masked Vigilante. Listening to her Spider-Sense, she dodged each with incredible ease, she didn't even need to move her feet to dodge every ball of lead. Eventually, her Spider-Sense calmed down and she prepared to rush the criminal, only to discover that he wasn't there anymore.

Expanding the range of her Spider-Sense directed her toward a nearby building. Darting her eyes to the right led her to her finding Roman scaling a ladder on the building.

Bending her knees, Spider-Woman could feel the blood flow to her legs, she allowed the power to build up for a moment before pushing off the tarmac with incredible strength.

She landed gracefully on the roof and spotted Roman looking off the other end. "Hey, sorry but the illegal dust robbery was at Nine O'Clock, you missed it," she quipped. If the look on his face was anything to go by then she was clearly getting on Roman's nerves. She was quite proud of that.

"You're way too damn persistent," he muttered under his breath.

Her Spider-Sense got more intense before the wind started to pick up. Spider-Woman got into a fighting stance expecting to see Roman try another trick. What she wasn't expecting was for a Bullhead to rise in front of Roman.

"Sorry to cut this short but I've got a flight to catch. See ya around bug." Roman climbed into the hovering machine before waving goodbye.

"I'm an Arachnid, you moron!"

Spider-Woman shot multiple web lines onto all of the strong points of the Bullhead and stuck her feet to the roof with all of her might. The bullhead attempted to pull away only to be anchored in place by the lone hero.

Holy shit! This is heavy! I can't keep this up, I need a plan now! The force of the bullhead's thrusters pulling on Spider-Woman caused her muscles to scream in protest. Her bones felt like they were going to snap at any moment. Her feet were skidding along the rooftop from the force. Her Spider-Sense buzzed in her skull, causing her to look up to the Bullhead. She witnessed Roman throw a briefcase at her with all his might. It soared through the air on a direct path to the Spider-Woman. When it was about five feet away, her Spider-Sense buzzed harder than it ever had before.

Roman took careful aim with his cane at the dust-filled briefcase. With pinpoint accuracy, the dust round exploded from the end of his cane and went on a direct path to the briefcase. His aim was true, striking the case with the highly combustible bullet.

Upon impact, every dust crystal in the briefcase ignited and detonated with a blind flash and deafening boom.

Right in front of Spider-Woman's face.

The last thing she saw was Roman's smug smile.

Her world went dark.

AN: This chapter was the longest by far, almost 12k words. I hate reading long stories and each chapter is only like 4k words, it just upsets me for some reason. Give me longer chapters but make fewer of them.

I stay up too late to finish these.

Whatever, I'm going to sleep.
