Chapter 2-2 Alice Winters

Alice was still trying to comprehend what Hilda had informed her about. Ethan was dead? Ethan Winters? Her brother?! No, that couldn't be right! He left that note, and he had some weapons on him! If he could survive Louisiana and the Baker family, surely he could have survived the Lycans at least! But, she still dreaded to know if the fact was true or not. "H-Hilda… w-what do you mean my brother is dead? Are you sure?!" She tried not to sound demanding, after all it wasn't the child's fault.

Hilda looked back up at the older woman, biting her lip as she had fear in her eyes. "I… I saw him. He opened the gate to Castle Dimitrescu and went in. I followed him, and I heard him scream. When I went to investigate, he was gone but a pool of his blood was left behind." She explained. That last sentence alone sent a shiver down Alice's spine. "I heard tales that Lady Dimitrescu would often kill the men who entered her castle without permission, and drain them of their blood. She must have seen him coming into her domain and took action."

Alice didn't know too much about this 'Lady Dimitrescu', but she guessed that she was one of the four people who were part of Miranda's court. Dr. Anastasia warned her that if they found any outsiders, they would torture them in their own twisted ways. For this woman, draining blood was her specialty. "Hilda, do you know where the dungeon to this castle would be?" Alice asked calmly as she looked the child in the eyes.

She nodded as she met Alice's gaze. "This tunnel will lead us right into the dungeons."

"Listen sweetie, I need you to take me inside the castle and help me find my brother. Can you do that?" Hilda responded with a yes, as she hurried to the passageway. "Make sure to stay close. If this lady is as dangerous as you say she is, it would be best not to confront her."

"Alright. I'll stay close." Hilda promised. Alice took out her flashlight from her belt and turned it on, shining the light in the darkness. Hilda walked down the stone stairs, with the older woman behind her. "And if any more of those creatures are nearby, I'll let you know."

"Appreciate it, Hilda." Alice chuckled as the two began their descent into the castle.

Alice and Hilda walked through the narrow passageway, resorting to crawling at a certain point as they began to smell the stale water and dust which coated the walls. Alice grunted a bit as she was taking one knee step after another. It became darker the further they went inside, and Alice had to be sure she was still close with Hilda. The two crawled through the small passageway. "Almost there…" Hilda promised as she was ahead, coming to a dead end, which annoyed Alice at first. The child knew better, as she started to push the rocks with all of her might, making them wobble. Alice stepped back as she watched the younger woman push through the wall and crawled to the other side.

The younger Winters soon joined her, as she looked around to see where they were. A small cubicle space of stone and dust. The floor was covered in caked dirt and dried red paint with a metallic smell to it. There was a wooden bench hanging by some chains on one side of the wall with a thin, green sheet and a white bowl placed there. "Well, this definitely looks like a dungeon." Alice noted as she checked the surroundings.

"Lady Dimitrescu places all of her prisoners down here." Hilda added. "I heard she even does experiments with them."

"Wouldn't surprise me…" Alice shrugged. Her green eyes landed on the iron bars. She hurried over to it and tried to push it open, only for it to jiggle in place. "Figured it wouldn't be that easy…" She peered through the bars as her flashlight shone through the area, keeping her orbs peeled. "I don't see anyone…"

"Alice!" Hilda whispered which made her turn to see the child on her hands and knees. She was crawling below the wooden bench, as Alice watched her disappear. When she knelt down, she could see that a hole was there, leading to another room. She quickly followed Alice, as they were now in a new cell. It was the same design, but it at least had an open cell door. She stepped outside and looked around the chambers. Alice was quickly by her side as she held onto her arm close.

"You wouldn't happen to know any way out of here, do you Hilda?" Alice asked.

"There should be a door if we keep going right." The child explained. Alice looked to the left, seeing a bunch of tables and carts blocking their way. She noticed that there were some spiky objects on a few of the surfaces. The older woman carefully escorted the child away from the sight.

"This is no place for a child to be…" She muttered as she let Hilda walk her down the passageway. Alice took notice of some of the other cells. Most of them were sealed shut with chains wrapped around the bars and door. The few rooms that were open she checked them out in case Ethan could have been inside. One room had shelves lined against the wall, with stacks of papers and bottles of medicines organized neatly. Small cages and wooden boxes also seemed to be loitered around. Upon one of the documents, she noticed that they were medicines used to keep livestock alive. Guess the Lady of the Castle wanted to make her torture last.

Another of the notes listed a bunch of names which had two categories. Candidates: Irina, Mihaela, Lois and Ingrid. The other mentioned Rejects: Dandora, Gretta, Nadine, Camelia, Dianca, Melina, Astrid, Lyudmila, Rosalinda, Lina, Stephana, and Gabriella. The most interesting aspect about this note was that these were all women's names. If Lady Dimitrescu was known for torturing men and draining them of their blood… What was the fate of the females that entered her castle? Alice knew that the longer she and Hilda stayed here, the worse their condition would be. The creaking of the chains above them kept her on edge, even though Hilda seemed pretty calm and followed the light to their destination.

Alice questioned how calm the child could be despite the fact that she was in a dungeon of blood and death. Then again, maybe Hilda was aware of this castle's history due to her living in the village. Made Alice wonder why the people who lived here put up with this dictatorship of Miranda and the Lords for so long. As they passed through the chambers, Alice took note of many barrels were inside the cells and around the hallway. Clothed bags of humanoid shape littered the grounds or were hanging from the ceiling. Some of them were even torn in half and were still dripping liquid from the beings. Bones from corpses also littered the dirt, indicating that those people had been dead for quite a long time.

Add the fact that it was pitch black and the creaking of cell doors kept Alice on edge. She made sure that her handgun was out, as she was prepared for anything to come her way. Her eyes noticed the many other torture devices that were scattered. Such as a wooden chair with spikes around every part and leather straps to hold the wrists in place. Masks lined up on the walls, prompting some different forms of pain, such as screws in the eye holes, jagged blades on the mouth, and one that looked similar to a pig for some reason? The less Alice questioned it, the better. She also found it disturbing that there were a variety of pliers against another wall. The sights alone made Alice want to hurl, but she kept it down.

Hilda made a detour to the exit as she noticed something in one of the open cells. She quickly went over and knelt to see a person slouched against a barrel and a table. "Ethan?" Alice called out, wondering if it was her brother. As she neared the figure, she became relieved to see that the corpse wasn't of a man, but of a woman in shades of red clothing. Her hair was a mixture of black and gray, put up in a bun. The way she was slouching and unmoving only meant one thing.

"She's… dead…" Hilda noted somberly as she placed a hand on the woman's face.

"Did you know this woman?" Alice asked, wondering if Hilda was familiar with her.

"Her name is Anna, she owned the church near the castle. She would let me tend to the services and keep that shrine. The church became too small for us, so we moved it, but she always kept it up to date." Hilda's smile was of a sad one, as she looked at the deceased woman. "She was one of the few people who tolerated me. I know I could have been a pain for her, but I will always be thankful for her generosity and the shelter she provided for me." Alice remained silent as she heard Hilda speak. So this Anna wasn't her mother either, at least this made the situation less depressing. But… where were her parents? And what did she mean by generosity and shelter?

"Looks like she hasn't been dead for long." Alice noted as she checked over the woman. She hadn't decomposed yet, and there was no indication of severe damage. Meaning she had been a recent victim.

The young child began to kneel over the corpse as she held her hands together in that prayer fashion. "Do you mind if I pray for her? I want to make sure she is sent off by someone who is close to her."

Alice didn't like the idea of staying here any longer, but she couldn't refuse Hilda on such a personal request. The older woman nodded, going onto her knees and held Hilda's hand. "Would it be alright if I prayed with you? I may not have known her, but I want to help her pass on and find peace."

Hilda gave a gleam over to Alice. "She always did say everyone was welcomed in her doors, even those that didn't believe in the new or old religion. So I'm sure she wouldn't mind." Hilda held onto Alice's hand, as they both began to speak in the same prayer together.

""Great ones of the past, hear our voice of reverence. We call to thee unto this request so you can deliver this poor soul into the hands of our God. For as the midnight moon rises on strong wings, let her suffering find peace at the light. In life and in death, we are connected eternally. May you be reunited with your loved ones that have passed before you."" Once that was done, Hilda and Alice stood up and dusted their clothing off.

"You mentioned that Anna believed in the new and old religion." Alice noted as she looked at the child.

"Well, her ancestors who lived in the village many centuries ago worshipped the old rules of the previous religion, before the leaders of this village changed to Mother Miranda. Even though they adapted the new testaments, they still held the old values and believed in both." Hilda explained.

"Didn't think that a pagan woman would still hold onto Christianity." Alice remarked.

Hilda raised a brow in confusion as she looked up at Alice. "Christianity?"

"Yeah… that was the religion you guys followed before the beginning of the 1900's." Alice explained. "At least from what I was told."

The child still seemed baffled. "I believe you're mistaken, Miss Winters. This village has always had a pagan lifestyle in terms of culture and religion."

This made Alice become confused just as much. "What? A-Are you sure?"

"Of course I'm sure. Miss Anna and her family had been involved with the church for generations, way before Miranda became the leader. But we had always worshipped the Black God, especially when the village was constructed by our original ruler." Hilda explained.

Alice tried to wrap her mind around this. This village was never Christian? The pagan cult had been around for much longer? That… wasn't what Dr. Anastasia told her. "But… the brief said…" Alice was interrupted in her train of thoughts at the loud sound of crashing. The two girls looked back, seeing Anna's corpse had fallen over so her face was in the ground of her own blood.

Hilda gasped, as her eyes landed on red sticks poking out of her back. "Look! Something's inside of her!" She quickly went over, placing a boot on her back as she used her strength to pull out the tool placed within the corpse. Alice reached over to help, with their combined might they managed to get the item out. It was a giant bolt cutter, a bit bloody but still functionable.

"This must have been how she died… talk about sadism…" Alice scoffed as she placed the new item into her belt. She figured it would come in handy later. "Come on, let's get out of here before we end up like her."

Hilda nodded, scooting out of the cell as she hurried to the exit. Alice was about to follow her, only to notice something out of the corner of her eye. Written in crimson paint, most likely blood, were three words: Help me, brother. It wasn't clear if Anna had written the message herself, the writing looked dried out. Still, those words alone made Alice feel a weight in her heart. "Ethan… where are you?" She questioned. Part of her wanted to hold onto the hope that he was still alive, and hopefully as far from this dungeon as he could be.

"Oh no!" Alice jumped as she heard Hilda's cry. She rushed out of the cell, heading to the child who was at a dead end as metal bolted doors blocked the way. "It's gone!"

"What's gone?" Alice questioned.

"There's a small box with a lever on the left of this door, but they don't have it anymore. It was used in order to open the passageway from this side. They must have taken it out." Hilda noted in slight disappointment.

"Which means we can't get out this way…" Alice sighed as she rubbed her temple. "Do you have any other ideas on where we could go?" Alice asked.

Hilda looked back over, taking a few steps past Alice as she pressed her hand against the wall while her eyes scanned the chambers. She was silent for a few minutes, taking in the quiet as she tried to figure an answer out. "If we go back the way we came… there should be some passageways to get us to the main hallways."

Alice wasn't sure how Hilda came to that conclusion, but she wouldn't question it if it meant she could get them out of the dungeon. "Alright, lead the way." Hilda nodded and took the older woman down the corridors until they came back to where their path was blocked before. Thankfully, Alice came prepared as she used the bolt cutters to snap the chains off of one of the cells. She opened the door, walking in and seeing the wall between the rooms had been knocked down, making it easier for them to bypass the blockade and head to the other side. As they headed further into the crypt, Alice picked up more notes which were laid on a table in one of the rooms decorated with more medical equipment. One of the notes had the names of the candidates from the previous document. Irina - Robust appetite. Mihaela - Robust appetite. Lois - Robust appetite. Ingrid - Unstable. Overly alert at times.

Alice pondered what this Lady was doing to these women. It would seem she was trying to experiment on them. Possibly create a vessel for Eva on the request of Miranda? If Lady Dimitrescu was infected with the Cadou, then it would stand to reason she would use the parasite nematode onto these victims. As for the robust appetite, what did that mean? Alice placed the note away as she headed out of the cell, going further into the chambers. Hilda jumped slightly when one of the body bags fell to the ground in front of them. Alice didn't think much of it, until Hilda held her sleeve closer. "Monsters! They're nearby!" Hilda shrieked. Alice looked down at the child, as her ears picked up the scraping of metal against stone. The sounds of groans and hissing were mixed in with the darkness. "There's about three of them!" Hilda added.

Alice readied her handgun, making sure there were enough bullets in the chamber and in her sash for a brawl. "Stay behind me." Alice advised. Hilda nodded, as she watched the older woman taking two rights in the dark until her flashlight caught the glimpse of figures. They growled as their skeletal limbs dragged their bodies over towards Alice and Hilda, wielding weapons from swords to axes. They were the same creature Alice faced in that secret catacomb. They were covered with rags, hiding their heads with cloaks, but she knew how ugly they were up close. The young Winters aimed her weapon right at their heads, using the flashlight to help her get the targets. A bullet into them stunned them for a moment, before they tried to attack again. Alice shot them, using the barrels in the center to run around to her advantage. A few nearly got to cut her, but she managed to dodge them just in time. After about fifteen bullets were wasted, twenty if you count the ones that missed, the strange figures fell to the ground unmoving. They dropped either some Lei or crystal skulls before they evaporated into dust.

The woman looked at the ground where they died then to Hilda. "You okay?"

"I'm alright, are you?"

"I'll live… but there's probably more of them down here, aren't there?" Hilda looked up at Alice, nodding slightly as she held herself. "Alright, how about this. You tell me where they are, and I'll kill them so we can have a clear path, deal?" Hilda nodded vigorously this time, as she seemed happy with that answer. They continued on, Hilda on look out while Alice was on killing duty. On their way, they encountered five more enemies. One of them even resorted to crawling out of a hole and tried attacking Hilda by grabbing her ankles. Alice quickly shot it with her arrows, since she wanted to save bullets. Thankfully there were many boxes that held certain supplies for them and the monsters managed to drop some loot. At the very least, they had money so they could always stop by the Duke's and purchase ammo if they had to.

Once all of the monsters were gone, Alice took a breather. "Well, I think it's safe to say what Lady Dimitrescu was using these torture chambers for." Alice remarked as she looked around the floor. Hilda went over to one of the dust corpses, picking up something in her tiny hands. It was a necklace with animal bones and beads on it, though based on the skull size it must have come from a small animal. "One of the monsters had a necklace?"

"It must have belonged to them when they were still human. It was said that using animal bones would be able to ward off evil." Hilda explained.

"Well clearly it didn't do her any good if this was her fate…" Alice remarked bitterly. Hilda looked up as her head tilted, which made Alice realize what she said. "Sorry… I just want to get out of here."

"It's okay… I never believed in it myself." She pocketed the necklace in her satchel. "But I don't see your brother anywhere."

"Looks like he's not here…" Alice sighed in frustration. "All of it was for nothing…"
Hilda walked over to Alice, tugging on her shirt as she smiled. "Don't lose hope. This castle is massive, he's bound to be here somewhere!"

Alice looked at the young girl, glad one of them was being optimistic. She nodded as she chuckled. "You're right… besides, I still have to find the Fungal Root as well."

"Fungal Root?" Hilda repeated.

"Uh, yeah. It's this large root that looks kind of moldy."

"You mean the Root of the Black God?" Hilda questioned.

Alice jumped, once again surprised this child was able to catch on quickly. "Y-Yeah! Let me guess, you know where it is?"

"Well, kind of." Hilda scratched her cheek. "I think the root could be found in the Tower of Worship."

"Tower of… worship?" Alice repeated.

Hilda nodded. "It used to be used as one of the churches back before Miranda took over the village. It was said many people felt close to the Black God in that place. I believe you could find the Root there, as there is a secret passageway underneath the tower."

Alice was a bit caught off guard by how much knowledge this child had. But she needed to get that sample, and the sooner she got it the quicker she could get out of the castle. "Do you know where the tower is?"

Hilda hummed as she tried to remember. "I think if we can get to the main hall of the castle, and find the hall of four, we should be able to find it! First thing's first though, we have to get out of these chambers." Alice didn't object to that, as the two of them headed out to an open area with a hole in the roof, supporting light into the room which gave Alice a chance to rest her flashlight. The girls then walked up an archway to a staircase as they found themselves in a new area. In front of them was a circular chamber, which was blocked by an iron gate that she couldn't open. So, they walked further into the chambers, going through some cells and walls.

"Seriously, who designed this place?" Alice complained as she headed up another flight of stairs with torches lighting the way. They had to go through some side rooms which were pretty cramped. A new doorway was blocked by a few planks of wood, which Alice had to literally rip from the wall just for them to get to a side room which had shelves of boxes stored with foods of sorts. There were also a few boxes of bullets which Alice took, and a fireplace against the left side of the wall.

Her nose picked up the stench of meat which came in the next room. She could see the skinned carcasses of large animals hanging on hooks on the stone structure. "Gack… do any of these women who live here cook?" She plugged her nostrils to block out the decay.

"I think the maids usually cook for the residents." Hilda pointed out as they walked into what Alice hoped was the kitchen. Though Alice didn't see any signs of these maids, she could only guess their fates from what she saw in the chambers. The scene was only worse when she saw a bunch of other entrails and fats on a bloody table with knives still inside the skin. She had to keep her composure as she needed to figure out what her next move was. Hilda went over to a large bucket that laid across a smaller table with a glowing lantern. She was reaching for the contents inside, and pulled out a red wine bottle that had silver flower emblems around the top. Alice checked it over with a raised brow as Hilda sniffed the contents to make a disgusted face. "Bleh… it has a very strong stench."

"Most alcohols usually do." Alice remarked as she looked the bottle over, seeing the label 'Sanguis Virginis' on it. "Maiden's blood…" Alice whispered under her breath.

"This must be Lady Dimitrescu's favorite wine!" Hilda stated.
"Then we better keep it with us. Might come in handy." Alice suggested, which Hilda pocketed the drink in her bag. She looked around the kitchen, wondering if there was anything else that could be of interest. She did notice a small knife stuck inside the wood of one of the shelves right next to a note. With quick eyes, she read over what was written to get more information of the history revolving around this castle.

'Another one was sent to the cellar. She had only spilled some soup… Everyone knows what happens when you're sent to the cellar. You're never seen again. They drain your blood, your soul cursed to wander the halls. I went looking for her, and when I found her, she was just skin and bones and gnawing on a rat carcass. I suspect it'll be my turn next."

So that explained the brand name of the drink. Alice now understood the dangers she was in, as well as Hilda and probably Ethan if he was here. The older woman reached over as she grabbed onto the small knife. It was pretty small, but sharp enough to do some damage. "Hilda…" Alice turned and held out the weapon to the child. "Here… if anything happens, you at least need to have a weapon."

Hilda grasped the knife, examining it as she slashed it in the air a few times. "I've never been able to have a weapon before."

"Just be careful with it and only use it for emergencies." Alice stated. "Come on, let's be careful." She walked out of the kitchen with Hilda behind her, coming to a narrow hallway with wooden decorated walls that had iron knights against the structure. They came into another area with mostly wooden structures and green walls. A large table with a white cloth laid at the center. The surface had many dishes like cups and plates, bottles of smaller and less expensive wine, candlesticks and a few stains on the cloth. Rugs covered the floor, and it was slightly chilly in the room as the fireplace was unlit. There were double iron doors leading to the outside, but Alice was unable to open them due to them being locked. There were wooden and golden double doors which had to be unlocked from their side.

Upon opening the doors, the two found themselves in a grand hall, with a mahogany staircase leading upwards in a spiral. Couches and cozy chairs hugged against the walls or were stationed on a rug next to a blazing fireplace. Lushish plants were potted in a few places along with flowers on some tables. Black and white tiles line the floors, with some circular patterns. A chandelier of many bulbs hung above the ceiling, as it casted the illumination of the room. Alice had to admit, this castle was beautiful in some places. Though it seemed a bit overkill for her. She pulled Hilda closer as they cautiously made their way towards an open doorway and down a few more flights of stairs which were carpeted with a rug. It appeared they were in an empty hallway, with only statues and paintings against the cream colored walls. Though Alice did notice four strange statues of women torsos and angelic wings, with missing heads.

"The Tower is beyond that door!" Hilda declared as she hurried over to the double iron doors underneath a stone arch and fire cauldrons. The child attempted to open the door, only for it to remain shut. Alice scurried over, attempting to do it herself, only to be just as stumpt.

"Does anything work around here?" Alice sighed as she noticed the writing on the wall, which she managed to read. "Mask the angels' blinded gaze and only then will you be saved."

"Do you think it has something to do with the statues?" Hilda questioned as she turned back to the faceless angels.

"Looks like it… maybe their heads are somewhere around the castle?" Alice scratched her head as she tried to figure out where they could be. There would be four in total, and there were still places she hadn't been to yet. Hilda's body jolted as her eyes became alert, scanning the room as she gasped. "Hilda? What is it?" Alice questioned.

"Run!" Hilda picked up her feet as she headed into a side room that was to the left of the Tower doors. She quickly went inside, waiting for Alice to follow. The younger Winters went after her, only to hear the buzzing of tiny wings. Her eyes noticed small insects swarming around. Why were there bugs in this castle? Sure there were corpses below the floors, but she didn't see any there.

Laughter could be heard as more flies started to collect themselves to form the shapes of three women, each one with distinct physical features though they all had similarities. They were dressed up in black cloaks which covered them from head to toe, revealing only their faces down to their exposed cleavages. They had on different pendants upon their chests, and choker collars with a different colored gem. Leather gloves were worn on their hands, as they surrounded Alice with black and bloody lips. Their amber eyes stared at her as they had a strange mark upon their forehead. The woman raised up her gun as she began to aim it at them, ready to shoot. "Look what we have here, sisters." The one with red hair licked her lips as she stared at Alice.

"Been a while since we've had a woman come to our castle unannounced." The one with brown hair mocked.
"Stay back!" Alice shouted as she began to shoot two bullets at the brown haired one, only to see that they were caught by the flies and deal no damage to the woman. This made Alice surprised, but she had more problems to worry about as the blond one grabbed hold of her shoulders and pushed her down.

"Let's see how good you taste!" She purred as Alice felt teeth latch onto her skin, feeling herself being bitten into as blood gushed out. With a painful howl, she kicked the crazy witch off of her. She hissed in pain as she held onto her neck, which no doubt had suffered damage. But that wasn't enough to save her, as she saw more flies surround her and cloud her vision. The next thing she knew, she felt herself being lifted up from the ground and pulled away, as if she was flying off. She struggled, but the bugs were far more annoying to her. Alice kicked and threw her arms out, but their hold on her proved stronger than she thought.

The next thing she knew, she was taken to yet another lavished room, with golden and red coloring on the rugs and bedding. A blazing fire was going in the chimney, and the daughters looked over the young woman as they had her. Alice kept struggling, only to feel cold chains around her wrists, before she felt her feet not meeting the ground. She had been hung, like one of those pieces of meat in the kitchen.

"I have to say, I was hoping for some man blood. But anything alive and fresh will do for me." The blond licked her lips as she looked at Alice.

"I am not gonna be on the menu for any one of you!" Alice tried to kick them, but they merely laughed at her attempts as they were far from her.

"How about we take her to the cellar and drain her? Then we can feast on her flesh?" The red haired one questioned.

"Why do that when we can just eat her whole, here?!" The blond purred as she went close to Alice, along with the red one as their crimson teeth showed their intentions.

"Hold on you two! You know the rules." The brown haired woman pulled them back by their shoulders and looked at them. "We have to wait for Mother to get the first taste."

"Come on, Cassandra!" The red haired rolled her eyes. "Mother has been at that meeting for hours! And It's been weeks since we had any fresh kill!"

"Daniela is right!" The blond boasted. "Besides, while mother is away, I get the say. And I say we devour her down to the bone. After all, I did capture her."

"I agree to that!" Daniela chimed in with a raised hand.

"Bela! Daniela! Don't you remember what happened the last time we ate one of the trespassers before presenting them to Mother? She put us on a liquid diet for two weeks!" Cassandra reminded them. "And I don't know about you two, but I am not going back to that life."

"But if we clean up the evidence, who will know?" Daniela pointed out as she still tried to be persuasive.

Bela, however, rubbed her chin. "Mother would be able to smell the blood here."

Cassandra raised a brow and nodded. "She should be back from her meeting very soon. Once she comes back, then we can present this woman to her and ask her to let us have her flesh!"

"Can't we at least take another bite out of her neck? Or at least take off a finger or two?" Daniela suggested.

Bela sighed as she rubbed her nose. "Cassandra is right… Mother already has enough stress to deal with these last few days. Perhaps this gift will bring out the better of her. Besides, it is an honor to meet the Lady of the castle." The blond smirked over at Alice, who glared hatefully at them.

"Then let's go scout the castle and make sure there aren't any other pests. So long as the doors are locked, she won't be going anywhere." Cassandra stated. "And once Mother comes… it will be dinner time." The ladies laughed as they headed for the door, going to it and closing Alice in. The younger Winters tried thrashing, attempting to get out but the shackles were apart from her and she could hardly get to them.

"Damnit! Crazy witches!" Alice screamed as she cursed them out. Though at the moment, her anger turned to fear as she was worried about the child that was with her. "Hilda… please be okay…"
