Chapter 6-4 Alice Winters

Alice moaned out as she felt herself coming back to reality. The last thing she remembered was encountering Karl Heisenberg when she got back to the Ceremony Site. Somehow, he pushed her against a wall and she fell unconscious as a result. Just as she was near freedom, some bastard had to take it away from her. Now, she found herself waking up to figure out what had happened to her. It was hard to see since the place was dark, with only a source of light at the end. From the looks of it, it seemed she was in a tunnel, similar to a mine shaft with wooden beams supporting rocky walls. She looked up, multiple things crossed her eyes at once. Firstly, the man that ambushed her, Heisenberg, was in front of her holding a metal chain. Said chain was connected to cuffs that were attached to Alice's wrists, making her bound. He was dragging her body along the cavern floors, hauling her like a prize.

"Hggh…" She moaned out as her face was that of resentment upon seeing the one who had captured her. His trench coat and fedora hat was unmistakable.

Her kidnapper looked over his shoulder, noticing that she was coming back. "Well, morning sleeping beauty." He mocked her as a smile was upon his whiskery face. "Perfect time to be waking up, we're almost there." He chuckled, pulling the chain again as he continued to drag her further down the tunnel.

Alice despised this situation she was forced to be in. She was on the verge of getting out of here and reuniting with her brother, only to be caught by this metallic asshole out of anyone. Biting her lip, she tried desperately to get out of this before it was too late. No doubt he was bringing her to Miranda, since he mentioned her before being knocked out. If she came face to face with that woman, who knows what that crazy prophet would do to her. She checked her body, trying to find the closest weapon to get to. Unfortunately, Heisenberg must have been one step ahead of her since all of her accessories were no longer on her person anymore. Even her headset with her communicator was gone, so there was no way to contact for help.

Even so, Alice still had some fight in her. Reaching up for the chain between her cuffs, she started to pull on it. Tugging the leash with all of her strength. Heisenberg felt this and it made him look back. He kept his firm grip on the chains, as he watched her pathetic attempts of defiance. She even got to her knees, but it was fruitless. "You don't learn, do you?" He rolled his eyes behind his sunglasses. Still, he would amuse her if only to prove a point. Holding out his arm, he dropped the iron bonds and let them fall to the ground. Alice stood there, getting onto her feet but didn't move just in case this may be a trap. "Even if you manage to escape…" Heisenberg began, a smirk spreading on his face. With a snap of his fingers, the shackles went back to his hands, like metal drawn to a magnet. He tugged on the leash, forcing Alice to be pulled to him so they were face to face. "So long as you got metal on you, I have you right where I - Aggh!"

He was cut off from his sentence as Alice resorted to bashing her head against his. It knocked him back a bit, but still stood on his feet. Plus, that did just as much damage to Alice as it did to him. With a grumble, he used his free hand to rub at the spot she hit. Then glared at his prey. "Fuck, you are really stubborn, aren't you?"

"Let. Me. Go!" Alice demanded.

"Sorry buttercup, but that ain't up for me to decide." Karl mocked. "You wandered into the Village uninvited, entered my siblings' domain, ransacked their homes, and ruined Miranda's Ceremony. Around here, such defiance would result in a slow, agonizing death. Whether you're a local or not."

"If that's the case, why bother bringing me to her instead of offing me yourself!?" Alice asked. In truth, she would rather be killed than have to face the very woman herself. Even if that meant she wouldn't be reunited with her family again, it was better than risking her mind being looked at and putting her brother and his family in danger. Not to mention, there was a chance she would become another puppet for Miranda. Alice would be damned if anyone tried to put strings on her.

Despite her plea, the metal man went on to elaborate. "Like I stated before, that isn't my decision. But, if all goes well, I'll get to have you all to myself." A chuckle escaped his lips, before he clapped a hand over her mouth. She tried to speak but it only came out in muffles. He leaned closer to her, his voice dangerously low as his oily breath could be felt on her skin. "For now, you better behave unless you want Mother Miranda to put your head on a stick to send to your brother. And that is her version of mercy." His warning made Alice tremble slightly. Even though she wasn't against death, she didn't want to leave her brother alone in this world, and have a reminder that he wasn't able to be there for her.

Still, she didn't want to imagine what her meeting with Mother Miranda would be like. She had only heard about her from other sources, but going to the main woman herself seemed to be a fate no one would want. Heisenberg found amusement in her predicament, as he chuckled while dragging her with him. Alice tried a few more times to struggle, but she failed miserably. Even so, she figured she could annoy Heisenberg, which would have been a victory for her ego. Yet her mind wondered what fate she would have upon meeting the leader of this Village.

It was a steep way to their destination. Alice could see the many conjunctions of caves and holding cells. She wasn't sure where they were going, since it was hard for her to keep track of any landmarks. The most noticeable thing was the sections of paths that contained Lycans. They howled and gnawed at her with their bloody teeth, only to be stopped by iron bars that separated the prey. As much as she hated to admit it, Alice stayed close to Heisenberg as they passed the Lycans. He noticed this and once again found himself in glee. "Don't worry, so long as you're with me they won't think twice of attacking. They may have feral instincts, but they have enough cognitive function to understand who is in charge around these parts." Upon hearing his cheerful tone while he said such words, it made Alice think being Lycan food was a better outcome for her.

Taking a backway, Heisenberg brought Alice up to a much nicer looking hallway, up some steps until they entered a room. Alice got a look around the place to figure out where she was currently. It was hard to tell, since half of the room was torn apart. Beams of iron and wood could be seen, mostly above a large platform with a wooden chair to the far right. Rugs were laid down on the floor, with some lit candles next to the steps of the podium. The moonlight trickled into the room from the open hole, but that was the least of Alice's worries. There was a second level of this room, with mahogany railing. It seemed to resemble a sort of nest with pews and chairs.

"Well, it's about time you showed up." Alice's blood froze over as she could hear the familiar aristocratic tone of a certain woman. She looked to her right and noticed the tall, vampire lady sitting in a larger chair that supported her mass. Before she could avert eye contact with Lady Dimitrescu, she stared hungrily at Alice. "And here I thought you were bluffing when you told us that you had captured this rat."

Heisenberg ignored his sister's comment and placed Alice on the floor, many feet away from the altar and placed her chain to the ground, attached to a loop. The length was shorter, to the point she couldn't even stand on her own feet. Alice tried to get out, but like before her attempts were futile. The metal man went over to the pew, opposite of where his older sister was sitting. He then began to take out a Cuban cigar and lit it with one hand, while his other was supporting the back of his head as he leaned against the board. Alice tried to figure out what was going on, gathering the information to determine how screwed she really was. This must have been the meeting room for the Lords and Miranda. Ethan mentioned he was taken to such a place when he first came to the Village. Guess she now understood how he felt at this moment.

Not long after, the door that Heisenberg and Alice entered opened. The two Lords sat up, watching as the figure came into the room. They slumped back down when they saw a woman in a black, mourning gown and veil, accompanied by her doll in the figure of a bride. "Looks like we are back here again for another take!" Angie chimed as Donna went over to the chair on the podium and sat down. Alice looked over at the doll maker, and even though she couldn't tell with the veil covering her face, she believed that Donna was looking right at her as well.

Angie hopped down and walked around the room, checking over the people who were present. Dimitrescu didn't take notice of the doll, rather she was trying to avoid eye contact with anyone. "Now all we have to do is wait for Mother… and Moreau."

"Speaking of, where is that freak?" Heisenberg asked.

"Haven't seen him. We walked past his place, but there was no sign of him." Angie explained, shrugging her jointed shoulders.

Heisenberg raised a brow as he heard this. "Really? That ugly bastard never misses a meeting. In fact, he's usually the first one here."

"Perhaps that defeat he had with Ethan Winters did him more damage than we initially thought." Alcina remarked. "Either way, once Miranda comes in, the meeting will start with or without us all present."

Alice listened to their conversation, seeing how they interacted with one another. She had faced the Lords as separate people, so seeing them all here together and talking with one another helped to show the dynamic they had for one another. Of course, the notes that she had found in their domains helped. She knew Alcina and Karl found themselves more superior compared to the others. Alcina not feeling the need to be part of such a family, and Karl who didn't want anything to do with it. Oddly enough, they weren't hiding their true feelings against each other, but not being completely honest. Maybe since they had been with one another for so long, they knew how they thought.

Alice jumped when she heard squawks and caws coming from above. She looked up and saw a bunch of birds coming down from the skylight. Black ones, most likely crows if she had to guess. They flew around in circles, clustering together until the feathers molded into a humanoid figure. Alice could only stare as a woman appeared from the mass of the midnight wings. She was covered in feathers, acting as a cloak and hood for her. Alice saw the pale woman in the golden bird mask stare at the room. The Lords fell silent as they all looked up to the leader, their mother. She stood on the podium next to Donna and Angie, as the doll crawled up her Lady's lap and sat there. Alice knew based on the appearance and the way she stole the room, this was Miranda herself.

"I trust that we are ready to start this meeting that Heisenberg has called us here for." It was not a question that Miranda was producing from her mouth, it was more of a demand. Her dull amber eyes scanned the room, briefly looking over everyone. The moment Alice felt those orbs on her, she shuddered as the Winters wondered what Miranda was thinking of her. "Moreau isn't here?" Miranda questioned, noticing the absence of her other son.

"We uh… couldn't find him…" Angie explained as she looked at the bird lady. "Alcina thinks that he's still recovering from his fight…"

Miranda noted this and hummed. "Well, it can't be helped if he misses the meeting."

"With all due respect, Mother Miranda, do we even need a meeting?" Lady Dimitrescu questioned. Alice looked over at the tall woman, better than staring at Miranda herself. "That woman has caused all of us trouble. Not only has she snuck her way into our domains, but she ruined your Ceremony. On top of that, she helped Ethan Winters escape with his daughter."

"And Mia Winters…" Miranda added before staring back over at Alice, who tried not to look scared but deep down knew she was terrified. "I had heard from some of my scouts that this woman had escorted her out." Alcina snarled lightly over at Alice, obviously it was a way to showcase her loyalty to Miranda by demonstrating her shared hatred. That, or maybe it was personal due to what Alice did to Dimitrscu's 'daughters'. "While you do bring up good points Alcina, we also have to take into account that this woman has blood relations with Ethan himself. After all, she is a Winters."

Upon hearing that, the vampire woman looked back over to the leader. Surprise written on her pale face. "Are you saying this woman is related to that man thing?"

"Donna told me herself when Alice Winters decided to spare her life in exchange for the flask." Miranda explained as she gestured to the woman in the gown and veil. Even though her face was covered, she still used Angie to talk.

"Yeah, she would have stabbed Donna right in her good eye. When she got the flask and the key, she said she was going to help her brother get his daughter back. You didn't have to be a genius to figure out who she was referring to." The doll rambled. Alice was a bit hurt that Donna would tell Miranda that, since she figured she didn't seem that bad out of her siblings. Then again, Alice was the one who blurted the fact that she and Ethan were related. Plus, Miranda probably spared the doll maker in exchange for details about Alice's suffering in the Beneviento Estate. Even though she was a victim in Miranda's experiments, she was still a Lord of the Village.

"You have to admit, she's as tough as her brother. Maybe even stronger than him." Heisenberg blurted out as he took a drag of his cigar. "And smart if she was able to not only find the Village, but solve the puzzles, especially the Giant Chalice."

Miranda turned to her only son in the room, before looking back over at Alice. "That, or she had some help." Alice kept her mouth shut. She could have made many remarks towards Miranda and the Lords, but she feared she would blurt out something and expose the Hound Wolf Squad. "I heard from my children that you worked with your brother Ethan to assemble his daughter, Rosemary. I have also been made aware that you had another child with you, a young girl." Miranda declared coldly.

Alice looked away, anger boiled in her blood as this lady was trying to learn about Hilda. She couldn't say anything, or else the child would be put in more danger. She avoided eye contact and refused to speak. Miranda however, would push. "Beneviento, what did that girl look like when you saw her?"

The woman in the veil moved her doll, making Angie speak. "Pretty young, blond hair and green eyes. Looked like a spitting image of this woman here."

Alice looked over to Lady Beneviento and her doll as they explained. She had forgotten that Donna was one of the two Lords who knew Hilda and saw her face. That meant she would rat her out to Miranda. She felt her heart race as her worry for the child grew.

"Did you recognize that child who was with this woman?" Miranda asked.

Alice gulped as she sat there. Donna had access to the Orphanage of this Village, and considering she adopted many of the children there, she would know about Hilda. The Winters grew more nervous as she wondered what the woman would say to her mother figure. Angie opened her porcelain mouth, ready to speak. Yet surprisingly, it was Donna herself who answered the question.

"She didn't look like any of the children from the Orphanage. And she didn't tell me her name." Donna answered. Upon hearing that, Alice sat there and blinked in confusion. That wasn't right, Hilda did tell Donna her name and it was clear the two knew each other to a degree. Why was she lying to Miranda? "But she did say that she was Alice's daughter." Well, that may not be an initial lie. Alice did plan on adopting Hilda after they would escape, admittedly.

"Daughter? This woman has a child?" Dimitrescu raised a brow at Alice, not amused at all.

"What? I'm 31. People around my age have a kid or two." Alice managed to say towards the tall lady. Still, she had to tread carefully and not say anything that would endanger herself and Hilda.

"Then explain why you decided to bring your daughter to a place like this?" Karl questioned her.

Figures they would be asking questions now. Though Alice was surprised Karl was buying this himself, since he mentioned he spoke to Hilda through the television after defeating Moreau. Then again, he probably didn't see her face or knew her name, so he was just as much in the dark as most of the other Lords. Donna was the only one who seemed to know about Hilda, but she was keeping the details to herself. Alice wasn't sure why, maybe because she still felt she owed Hilda for saving her life? Well, Alice should use this to her advantage. She needed to explain some truths, but knew that certain information had to be kept a secret. Such as the Hound Wolf Squad and what they were planning. If they found out about them, no doubt Miranda would go after them to foil their interference.

All eyes were on her, as they wanted her to speak. Being silent for any longer would only add to their suspicion. She had to fabricate her story to make it believable while also leaving out certain details. "I… was coming here from America with my daughter… Sheryl." Alice decided to use her mother's name for Hilda's alias. After all, naming your daughter after your dead mother was pretty convincing. "She wanted to see her uncle and niece. Ethan and I didn't have any contact with each other in three years. But he invited us to his place here in Europe and we were on our way to go see him." So far, Alice gained the attention of the Lords and Miranda, as they were watching her but not interjecting. They must be taking this information and believing it. "I… saw my brother being carried out from his house in this truck. So… we followed after them. The truck went off the road and nearly crashed into us so I had to go into the snow."

"And you both survived?" Miranda questioned.

"Well, we managed to get out of the damaged vehicle with some injuries, but nothing fatal. We walked through the woods and found ourselves in the Village, and tried to find my brother and any survivors." Alice explained.

"So you looked around for your brother and niece, figured out that Rose had been split into four flasks, and managed to piece her back together?" Miranda questioned.

"All while not dying in the process, yes." Alice remarked sarcastically. Miranda was silent for the most part after hearing this. Alice wasn't sure if she was buying it or trying to process the information.

"And where is your daughter right now?" Alcina questioned while taking a puff from her own, long cigarette.

At that moment, the Winters thought back to her and Hilda falling in the caves where the Megamycete was. She wasn't able to find Hilda, but given that she didn't see her body, the child must have survived and ran off. And since Miranda seemed to be asking about the young girl, it was clear the cult leader didn't have the child with her. Still, Alice didn't know where the survivor was, but it was better to state that she wasn't in the Village itself so they could believe searching for her would be futile. "She managed to escape with my brother after we got Rose back. And she's currently waiting for me along with Ethan." The younger sibling could only imagine how Ethan must be feeling, knowing that she hadn't gotten back yet.

"Either way, this woman is clearly guilty." Dimitrescu stated as she sounded bored. "She not only interfered with your plans, Mother Miranda, but she also helped our prisoners escape. Personally, I suggest that you give this mortal to me. My daughters have been itching to get their hands on fresh meat. And I think that giving them the woman who humiliated them would help ease their trauma. I'll even give you the finest cups of her slaughtered blood in exchange for this opportunity."

Alice scoffed at the words this old lady was speaking. Of course she wanted to kill Alice, turn her into another meal and drain her of her blood like the other victims in that Castle. Except, she doubted there would be anything left of her for the Winters to become like those undead maidens.

"If you even think about coming near me, I will-"

"You'll what?" Alcina pressed after interrupting Alice. "I don't believe you are in any position to be making demands. And frankly, with the fact you are tied down and weaponless, you possess no real threat in our eyes." A sly grin placed itself onto her dark lips, as if she got a sick kick in teasing Alice. The Winters was glaring at the Lady of House Dimitrescu, ready to chew her out more. If she couldn't fight with her fists, she could at least fight with her voice. Though it wouldn't do her any good in escaping, she would feel some pride knowing that the Lords were being called out.

Miranda didn't seem to want that as she raised a hand up towards her eldest daughter. "While you do make valid points Dimitrescu, and I wouldn't mind giving you this woman as a sacrifice. It is only fair that we hear your other siblings before we come to a verdict." The Mother of this 'family' turned her attention to the man sitting on the bench, who was puffing out a cloud of smoke from his cigar. "Heisenberg, you were the one who called this meeting and caught this woman. Do you have any suggestions on how we should punish her?"

At least Miranda was a decent leader to hear from all of her kids, those that were currently present. She may have been a fake Mother to the Lords, but she seemed sane enough to have a democratic and fair hearing. Still, as Alice looked over at the male Lord, she didn't trust that laid back attitude of his. Nor did she like all the things he said to her when Alice was in Heisenberg's factory. Even so, he tapped the ashes of the cigar and looked over at his 'Mother'. Even sitting up straight to look more proper for her. "While I do want to have another victory over my older sister, that's not the only reason I want to keep this woman alive."

Wait, did he say he didn't want to kill her? Alice was surprised, yet her faith for this man was low as she waited to hear him out. "We all know how special Ethan Winters and his kid is, but this woman here was able to outmaneuver us all, solve the Chalice puzzle, and get her family out of here before being caught by us. I think she's more skilled in survival than she is letting on." Of course Heisenberg must have realized she had gotten help this whole time. It would be pretty unthinkable to believe that someone from a small community with no training of any kind could have survived these conditions on her own. Even so, Alice figured he didn't know the whole story, but she knew he must have his suspicions. "Therefore, I think it would be a waste to just off her, given what she was able to manage. We might get more if we keep her alive."

"What?!" Alice looked over at him, stunned at his suggestion. Were they planning on using her for their Cadou experiments?! Is that why he argued about keeping her alive?

"Blasphemy!" Alcina argued. "You want to keep this woman from suffering just so she can end up being another failure? What makes you think she will even be somewhat of a success to Miranda's cause?!"

"That's why we call it experiments, dear sister. There's no guarantee that she'll be of any success to us, but if she isn't, then she'll suffer as a result." Heisenberg mused. "Best case, we get a perfect vessel. Worst case, she'll lose her mind and suffer terribly by having her humanity slip away." Alice took a step back as he said it so casually. Then again, given their history, it wouldn't surprise the Winters that this would be her fate. Once again, the idea of dying right here by even Miranda's hands, seemed far more acceptable to her.

Miranda looked at her son, her eyes lost in thought as she seemed to be thinking it over. "Beneviento, what about you?" She asked her younger 'daughter'.

Everyone expected Donna to be the one to talk, like she did upon explaining the child Alice had with her. Instead, she used her puppet to be her voice once again. "Well, she is fun to toy with, so it would be a let down to end her right here. Plus, keeping her alive might bring Ethan back to us."

Miranda raised a brow upon that response. "How so?"

This time, Donna was the one to add in. "If Alice is Ethan's sister, then he would have to come back for her, just like he did for Rosemary. We can use her as bait to lure him here, and perhaps… even her daughter."

Alice didn't like the points that Donna was making. She had wished that the doll maker had remained silent, like she usually does. It only got worse for Alice when Miranda seemed to be smiling under her bird mask, indicating that she saw the positives to the plan of keeping the Winters alive. And of course, knowing Ethan and Hilda, they would fall right into this trap.

"Upon hearing your arguments, with how persuasive you all have been, I have come to the decision that keeping Alice Winters alive would be more beneficial to all of us." Mother Miranda stared at the outsider, her very orbs trying to pierce the soul of the blond, which made Alice shudder slightly. No point in hiding the fear now, especially with what they were planning on doing. The leader then moved her gaze over to the only man in the room. "Heisenberg, I will allow this woman to be left in your care." She pointed her golden claws right at her son. That was music to his ears, as the fourth Lord grew a smirk, then tipped his hat in her direction. Alice turned to see his expression, realizing how eager the metal man was to be having Alice in the palm of his hands. Only he alone could possibly fathom the possibilities of torture that would be put onto the outsider.

"Mother Miranda! I must protest!" Lady Dimitrescu stood up, her tone livid as her eyes went from her leader then glanced over at her little brother. She took a few steps towards Alice, a graceful pose for a mutated monster. "While I'm not against keeping this mortal alive, to leave her in the care of this child is questionable." Her eyes narrowed while staring right at Heisenberg. "Have we forgotten that he allowed Ethan Winters to escape his so called 'games' which resulted in that man helping his sister in her plans. If we allow her to live, she should be with someone that can keep a close eye on her and won't let her escape."

"Let me guess, you want to be the one to have her?" Heisenberg questioned in a mocking tone. "Not a chance! You'll only just eat her while we aren't looking."

"You do have a history of lack of self-control." Angie perked up.

"At least I would ensure that this outside is kept under a secure lock and key. And my daughters would be the perfect guards for this trouble maker."

Alice wasn't sure if she was tired from being in the state she was in, or hearing the annoying voices of the people within the room, but she couldn't bite her tongue anymore. Looking up at the vampire, she shot back a remark of her own. "If you think I'll allow your fake daughters anywhere near me, then you really are bat shit crazy!"

Alcina's expression twisted upon hearing her children being insulted. "You dare to insult my daughters after what you put them through?!"

"Oh I dare and I will!" Alice's hostility increased along with her attitude. "You may be one of the Lords of this Village, but you're nothing and no one to me! Just some psychotic mother who uses puppets to make as your children! I bet your so-called daughters wouldn't even respect you if you didn't have control over them!" During her shouting, the others watched this scene and had their own reactions. Angie was pumping her fists in the air, as if she was waiting for a fight to break out while Donna was silent and still, much like Miranda. Heisenberg was chuckling as he held a hand above his lip to hide a smirk. He seemed to be the only one finding any amusement in this show.

Dimitrescu pulled her lips back in a snarl, showing her pearly teeth and fangs. Her black, gloved hand reached over to wrap around Alice's neck. With incredible strength, she lifted the Winters up so they were meeting eye level. Alice gagged from the impact of her neck, but that was the least of her worries as green eyes met raging amber ones. "You dare to come into our Village! Trespass into my Castle! Steal our property, ruin Mother Miranda's ceremony, freed her prisoners and you still have the gull to insult my daughters?!" Her voice increased in shouting with each accusation she threw to Alice, spitting in her face. Before Alice's eyes, she saw the free hand of the vampire woman raising up. Blades of blackness produced from her fingertips, ready to attack. "You will not leave this room with your vocal cords!"

As much as Alice hated the idea of being slashed to ribbons, part of her wanted it to come so she could escape this hellhole. Not to mention, if she did die, then Ethan would have no reason to truly return and would stay safe. It was cruel, knowing that in order to protect her family she would have to die. Yet it was a sacrifice that Alice was willing to take, knowing the risks this mission would entail. At least she wouldn't be a guinea pig for these freaks. Alas, it seemed that fate was once again playing tricks on her.

"DIMITRESCU! RELEASE HER NOW!" Miranda's voice shook the whole room, as everyone turned to see the woman on the stand spreading out her eight, midnight wings. A void silk cloak with a sash of black and white patterns was over her shoulders and flowed to her knees. Around her neck was the pendant of the Megamycete itself, large, gold and a symbol of hope and power for her. As everyone turned to their leader, their blood ran cold. It was as if just her words alone were enough to move the Village itself. She displayed her authority, and it worked as Alice found herself falling to the ground. Well, more specifically, in the arms of Heisenberg who managed to catch her before she hit the stone floor. She couldn't even struggle as her focus was on the bird lady who still had much to say. "My decision is final. No harm is to come to Alice Winters, unless it is experiment related. Heisenberg will take care of this woman's needs and hold her in his factory for the time being. He was the one who called this meeting and who caught this woman, therefore he may do with her what he wishes.

Once again, Heisenberg was smug as he glanced at his older sister. She was unhappy by this outcome, but it was Miranda's will, so there was nothing that could be done to change it. "Thank you, Mother Miranda." The fourth Lord bowed to his leader, still cocky as he held Alice like a prize he had won.

"If that is all to discuss, then you all may head back to your domains." Miranda stated, more calmly. "I will also allow you to do the Cadou experiment on her, Heisenberg, when you are ready. Though I do expect to see notes of any progress you have."

"Of course. But I want to get Miss Winters here settled. So it may be a while." He told his Mother.

Miranda didn't object, merely nodding before speaking again. "Very well. My only concern is that you do your best to keep her alive. I doubt Ethan Winters would risk coming back to the Village for a corpse." Miranda wasn't wrong, and it made Alice wish she could have been murdered by Lady Dumptruck at that moment. Especially knowing the kind of 'experiments' that Heisenberg did behind his factory gates.

"Of course, Mother Miranda." Snapping his fingers, the link connecting the chain to the floor was broken, freeing Alice from one confinement, only to be in the arms of another. Alcina was still hurt about the situation, but she kept quiet as she turned her back and headed out of the room. Donna picked up Angie, looking over in Alice's direction. The Winters wasn't able to see since Donna still had the veil, but wondered why she kept staring at her and remained where she was. It was something she wasn't able to ponder for long, as Heisenberg readjusted his prisoner and flung her over his shoulder. Guess she would be carried unceremoniously, not that Alice cared one way or another. "Let's get you to your new home, Alice Winters." He whispered to her, which made her pull back as she could taste the smoke he inhaled from his cigar.

Regardless, she was being carried out of the cathedral and taken back to his Factory. She once again begged for the sweet sensation of death at this point, anything to get away from the fate that she had been sentenced to. Alas, death would not come, at least not for her. All she could do was wait it out and find a way to escape on her own. Or else… become one of these freaks and live under Miranda's control.

Author's Note: Hey Everyone, CosmoK13 here. Looks like we finally made it to the end of RE Village: Alice Winters DLC. But not to worry because this is not the end! That's right, there are going to be two more sections of this series, all with 24 chapters per section. However, I am going to be taking a break from writing said chapters for the time being. Mainly because I want to focus on some other works that I need to finish, and also with Resident Evil Village DLC's coming out, I want to wait and see that to determine what other bits of Lore I can get. I mean, I know I'm making up my own lore at this point, but hey, you never know! So the idea is I want to finish up the first season of Yugioh Kaimon and publish the third season of YouTube Outcast Legends, before I get started on the second installment of Alice Winters. Like I said, this is not the end of the story, there's still more, but any new updates won't be posted until next year. I know it may seem like forever, but I promise to get to it as soon as I am able.

That being said, thank you all for enjoying this story. To those who have favorited, followed and even commented, huge shoutout to all of you. I did this story for a bit of fun, so I was surprised to see how much support it got over the last few months since it was posted. I also wanted to give a big lovely shoutout to my GF Gamerarts, who allowed me to use her oc, Alice Winters, for this work. I hope I did her justice, if not I am so sorry. Speaking of, I am planning on having Gamerarts upload this story onto her wattpad account, so it can be shared on another platform. There will also be some changes to the story, I will say. Nothing major, but if you want to see this story with better grammar, a few changes and to help out my partner, check out Gamerarts on Wattpad. She'll have this story and one called 'Daughter of a Seer', which is a Who Killed Markiplier fanfiction. Make sure to check that out and support her as much as you've supported me. With that said, Sayanoya, and stay classy my Otakus.
