Outside the Ravencroft Institute, the doors opened up, allowing one of its patients to walk out. It was Max Dillon, his protective mask over his face to keep his power contained. He was also wearing two inhibitor bracelets on his wrists to keep him from using his powers.

"So… this is it?" he asked in disbelief.

"This is it," one of the doctors, a raven-haired woman named Ashley Kafka, confirmed as she went out to meet him. "I am so proud of the progress you've made, Max. you still need to go to therapy, but I know you're going to be just fine out there."

"I owe it all to you, Dr. Kafka. Thanks."

Dr. Kafka smiled before heading back inside, leaving Max to head out into the city alone.

Meanwhile, Doc Ock was hiding out in an old steel factory, using whatever spare tools he could find to repair his arms. As he continued working, his cell phone started ringing. One of his arms reached across the room and grabbed it, holding it to his ear.

"Yes?"

"It's me," Electro answered. "I'm out."

"Excellent Maxwell," Otto replied in a joyous tone. I'm so pleased. And quite happy you decided to accept my invitation."

"Well, you were the only one to write to me in Ravencroft, Dr. Octavius."

"Well, I've taken a special interest in your case. An interest that should benefit us both."

"Yeah. love the idea of tag teaming you know who. When do we move?"

"Tonight. I'll contact you when we're ready," Ock then disconnected the call before pressing the earpiece he also had on hand. "Electro is in. Have you found the remaining hands on your end?"

"Yeah," Toomes confirmed, standing out in the prison exercise yard hoping not to draw attention to himself. "Flint Marko. Alexi Sytsevich, and Mac Gargan."

"Ah, fine choices. Be sure to contact them about tonight. Also, I need you to include the ones known as the Enforcers."

"Why? Thought you only wanted six."

"I do. They are just part of a deal I needed to make to ensure the next part of the plan. Trust me, I have it all in hand."

"If you say so, Doc," Toomes replied before walking off.

Toomes looked around the prison yard, trying to find any sign of the Enforcers. Eventually, he caught sight of Ox on a bench press with Fancy Dan spotting him and Montanna lifting some barbells nearby.

"Hey," Toomes greeted, getting their attention. "Got a little get-together happening tonight. Interested?"

"Mr. H indicated we're available," Montana confirmed, a sly smile on his face.

Toomes nodded before heading off.

Later, Toomes was charged with delivering meals to some of the inmates. As he walked along the hallway, he dipped his fingers into a small bowl containing a strange liquid. He then pressed his fingers against the wall repeatedly as he reached the wing designated for super-powered criminals. He first came across the Scorpion's cell, finding him sitting at the back of the cell with his tail bolted to the wall and the end covered up with metal casing so as not to allow him to use his scid spray. Toomes took out his tray of food in a special opening in the cell and pressed a button on the side. This allowed the opening to close and a set of metal arms to grab the food and move it to Scorpion.

"Do not approach walls or door, or tranquilizer gas will be released to contain: Gargan, Macdonald," an automated voice announced.

"I know," Scorpion grumbled.

Scorpion looked up, seeing Toomes just standing there.

"What are you looking at?"

"Someone who's had it rough," Toomes surmised. "Let me guess, Spider-Man? Bet you're wanting some payback right now."

"Who me? Nah. I just wanna talk to him. You know, take his picture, slit his throat, put his head in a dryer."

"I know some people who can make that happen. You in?"

Scorpion smirked at the prospect. "Hell yeah."

Toomes then made his way to the next prisoner in the block, the Rhino. Once again he put the food in the opening and pressed the button, allowing the tray to be sent to him.

"Do not approach walls or door, or tranquilizing gas will be released to contain: Systevich, Alexi."

"I know, Rhino responded.

"Can only guess what got you put in here," Toomes replied. "Has to do with… Spider-Man, I think."

"Dah. Wanting nothing more than to crush him," he clenched his fist on that last part.

"Well… what if I told you I know some people who can make it happen."

Rhino smiled in response, loving the sound of it.

Finally, Toomes arrived at the last cell he needed to; Sandman's. He then repeated the action of serving food as he had before.

"Do not approach walls or door, or air pressure will be activated to contain: Marko, Flint."

"I know!" Sandman cried out, looking down at the food. "A sandwich? This is a joke, right?!"

"Depends, are you laughing?" Toomes remarked.

Sandman just snarled in response. "It's raw silicates only, Toomes! I don't eat food no more!"

He then chucked the sandwich against the glass door, causing it to fall apart as it fell to the floor.

"Fine," Toomes replied. "But just save room for dessert… Spider-Man ala mode."

Meanwhile, in the far reaches of space, Colonel John Jameson's shuttle soared through the cosmos. The shuttle then flew close to a large asteroid that was floating out in space.

"There she is," John noted. "Alright, let's take her down nice and easy."

His copilot nodded as they piloted the shuttle down toward the asteroid. As they got close enough, the payload doors of the shuttle opened up, allowing a lunar module to launch out toward the asteroid with John Jameson inside.

"Jameson, how ya doin in there?" his copilot asked.

"Aside from some mild claustrophobia, I'm just dandy. How are you?"

"Mildly jealous. Not everyone can say they're the first astronaut to set foot on an asteroid."

"Trust me, it's not as glamorous as it sounds."

After some careful maneuvering, John touched down on the surface of the asteroid. Once secure, he opened up the door to the module and stepped out, looking around in awe at the sight before him.

"Whoa…" he let out. "Alright, making my way to the crater. If I don't make it out in ten minutes, start lunch without me."

"No way, John, you're buying."

Back on Earth, Max found himself in the city, looking out at Rykers Island Prison just across the river.

"Impressive, isn't it?" a new voice commented, causing Max to turn and see Otto walking toward him. "They say the prison is impenetrable. That escape isn't possible."

"They haven't met us," Max remarked, holding out his wrists.

Not missing a beat, Ock opened up his coat and allowed two of his metallic arms to snake out, grabbing the bands on Max's wrists and snapping them. With the bands removed, Max surged with energy, his face mask pulling back to reveal his face. Electro was back.

"Alright!" he cheered, let's have some fun!"

With that, he took off across the river, ready to get to work. Ock just smirked as one of his arms placed an oxygen mask on his face. Once it was secure, he leaped into the water, allowing the punchers at the end of his arms to spin rapidly, creating four propellers that allowed him to jet through the water.

At the prison, Electro touched near an electrical generator, getting the attention of some nearby guards.

"Hey," one let out as they drew their weapons. "You're not authorized to be here."

Electro just responded by zapping both of them, knocking them to the ground.

"Sorry boys," he replied before turning back to the generator. "But it's lights out!"

He then blasted the generator, destroying it and causing the power in the whole prison to go out.

Inside his cell, Rhino was listening to the same automated drivel as before when the lights cut out, the red emergency light went on, and the sound cut out.

"Finally, she shuts up!" he let out before standing up and charging forward.

He quickly rammed into his cell door, knocking it off its hinges and causing it to collide with the Sandman's cell door. The impact allowed Sandman to turn to sand and pass through the cracks in the door, returning to solid form on the other side.

"Sweet!" Sandman let out. "We're back in business!"

He then formed his hand into a giant slab, slamming it into Scorpion's cell door and breaking it down. Scorpion smiled at the sight of freedom before him, even more so when Rhino came over and broke off the restraints keeping his tail contained.

"Aw, yeah!" Scorpion let out. "The Scorpion's alive! And stinging!"

He slammed his tail down on the bench he was sitting on, shattering it to pieces. Now free, the three of them made their way down the hallway, following a set of neon arrows leading them where they needed to go. Eventually, the arrows led them to the main cellblock, allowing them to leap down just as several guards ran up to stop them.

"Hey, Alexi," Sandman spoke up. "Keep 'em busy for us."

"Be my pleasure," Rhino remarked, cracking his knuckles before running forward.

He plowed through several guards as Scorpion ran over to Toomes' cell, spraying acid on the bars of the cell, allowing it to melt away and allow him to pass through easily. Sandman meanwhile made it over to the cell the Enforcers were in and formed a sand hammer to bust the lock and allow him to open it up.

"Nice night," he remarked.

"Yeah," Fancy Dan agreed. "For a walk."

Back on the asteroid, John climbed up to the ridge of a crater before looking down inside of it.

"The base of the rock seems to be igneous," John reported. "I am entering the crater… now."

He then leaped down into the crater, touching down and looking around for anything to take back for study. As he scanned around, he noticed a shining rock in the middle of the crater. Curious, he made his way over to it.

"Hang on, I think I got something," he reported, pulling out his pick as he approached it. "Composition almost looks like… obsidian or something."

He took hold of the rock and began swinging his pick at the base of it to dislodge it. After a few swings, he felt confident the base was weak enough for him to pull it free. Gripping it with both hands, he pulled as hard as he could, finally yanking it free from the base. However, to his surprise, there seemed to be some kind of strange black goo that seemed to be coming out of the rock.

"What in the world?"

"John?"

"It's almost like the rock's… bleeding."

"Did you say bleeding?"

Just then, the ground began shaking, much to John's surprise.

"John, what's going on down there?"

"Some sort of… seismic event!"

"Get back up here, now!"

John didn't waste a moment, making his way back to the module as the ground began breaking apart around him. The instant he touched down on the ladder to the module, he climbed inside, just as it began sinking below the ground. Fortunately, John was able to activate the thrusters just in time, launching him back toward the shuttle just before the surface of the asteroid caved in on itself. John soon returned to the shuttle, unaware of just what he had unearthed.

Back at the prison, the Rhino plowed through a wall, allowing him and his fellow prisoners to get outside the prison and make a break for it. The group kept moving as several guards came rushing out, opening fire on the group, with Rhino taking the brunt of the gunshots as Sandman and Scorpion rushed forward and dispatched the guards that got in their way. Eventually, the group made their way toward the main gate.

"Just one more gate and we're home free," Sandman cheered.

"Make way for the Scorpion!" Gargan cheered, brushing past the others.

Before he could unleash his acid, however, something began pounding against the gate. Finally, one of Doc Ock's arms busted through, allowing the other three to reach out and grab both sides of the gate forcing it open as he walked inside to approach the group. Toomes smirked as he approached.

"Doctor Octopus, I presume?" he remarked.

"Indeed," Doc Ock confirmed. "Now, we just need one last member of our-"

Before he could finish, the prison power shut back on, activating the security doors and sealing the guards inside. Electro quickly flew down next to the group, smiling at his handiwork.

"That should keep em busy for a while."

"Excellent work, Maxwell," Ock commended.

"Thanks…" Electro replied, turning to him. "Though, I kinda prefer Electro, doc."

"I understand completely."

Just then, a helicopter quickly came into view, touching down on the ground in front of the prison. The doors opened up, revealing Hammerhead and his chauffeur.

"Evening, boys," Hammerhead greeted, tossing a case to Toomes.

Toomes opened it up, seeing the components for his Vulture wings, causing him to smile. Ock smiled as well before turning back to Hammerhead as the Enforcers got onto the copter.

"I trust you've arranged our transport as well?"

"Yeah. boat's all set up at the dock, ready to take you wherever."

"A pleasure doing business with you," Ock replied, mimicking a hat tip as he and his fellow villains took off.

Hammerhead closed the copter door, allowing the copter to fly away as the six villains made their way to the boat and took off as fast as it could carry them. All the while, a lone criminal managed to climb out of the hole Rhino created, making a break for it as well.

The next day at the Daily Bugle, Jameson, Betty, Ned, and Robbie watched a TV report on John Jameson's inevitable return.

"Astronauts John Jameson and Paul Stevenson are scheduled to make their long-awaited touchdown here at JFK airport," the reporter relayed as Peter got off the elevator and entered the main office. "The first time a shuttle landing has been attempted at a commercial airport. With touchdown imminent, America prepares to welcome home its newest heroes."

A round of applause broke out as Jameson beamed in with pride.

"What's going on?" Peter wondered as he approached.

"John's preparing to make touchdown," Robbie relayed.

"Awesome," Peter responded. "Congratulations, Mr. Jameson. You must be excited."

"More than you can imagine, Parker," JJ replied. "Robbie, we got someone covering the landing?"

"Eddie Brock's on his way there now," Robbie relayed. "He should be at the airport soon."

"Good. I don't want him to miss a moment of my son's return."

"And in other news, police are still baffled by the breakout at Rykers Island last night," the anchorman reported, getting Peter's attention. "The escapees of which included Flint Marko, Alexi Systevich, Mac Gargan, and Adrian Toomes. All of whom were originally arrested following battles with Spider-Man."

Hearing Toomes and the others on the loose again was certainly a shock. I knew I had track them down the first chance I got, but then something else got my attention.

"Spider-Man…" Jameson grumbled.

"Jonah, you can't honestly blame Spider-Man for the breakout," Robbie challenged.

"Maybe not, but we never saw these villains before he showed up."

"There have been other supervillains before Spider-Man," Peter reasoned. "Besides, Spider-Man's only tried to protect people."

"I've never felt protected by him. All Spider-Man has done has inspired a cavalcade of masked maniacs who leave a trail of destruction wherever they go. If he were really concerned with the well-being of this city, he would've hung up his mask a long time ago."

Peter's face dropped upon hearing that, but did his best not to show it.

"It doesn't matter anyway," Jameson continued. "Tonight, the Bugle's celebrating a real hero. My son, John!"

Meanwhile, Eddie Brock was stuck in traffic on the George Washington Bridge, surrounded by numerous cars just as frozen in place as him.

"The story of the decade, and look where I am!" he bemoaned, slamming on the horn.

At the abandoned steel mill, the six villains settled into their hideout, waiting to make their next move. Toomes got to work putting his Vulture wings back together while Electro went over to the power box and charged it, getting power for the building.

"Nice trick, sparky," Sandman remarked.

"That's nothin'," Electro replied, starting out a window toward the city. "You may see just a bunch of lights out there. But me… I see possibilities. I can see every electrical current in the city. It can make me so much more… than I could ever be."

"That's… cool and all," Sandman replied coyly.

"What about you, Sandman?" Electro asked, turning to him. "What's your deal?"

"Me? Nothing. I just want a decent score. But that ain't gonna happen as long as Spider-Man's out there."

"I can get behind that. Man's gotta eat after all."

"Exactly," Sandman agreed before cocking an eyebrow. "So… how'd you end up like that?"

Electro just shrugged. "I used to work at Oscorp. They were experimenting with harnessing electricity from living organisms. I wasn't being careful while I was working, and… I fell into a vat of genetically altered electric eels."

"Huh. No kidding? Talk about unlucky."

"Stuff happens," Electro remarked. "What about you?"

"Volunteered to be part of a science experiment. Same as Rhino over there. Said it would give me power. Didn't seem like an issue."

"It never does at first," Scorpion remarked, flipping through channels on a small TV set up in the room. "Till you realize there's no goin back."

"What's wrong, Gargan?" Sandman remarked. "Tail get twitchy while locked up?"

Sandman and Electro both chuckled as Scorpion glared at them. He then got up and swung his tail at Sandman's head, reducing it to sand before it reformed.

"Hey, watch it!"

"You laugh, but those stupid experiments have turned you guys into freaks! Just like me!"

Just then, a hand grabbed him by the throat and brought him face to face with Rhino.

"Who you calling freak? Rhino challenged.

"Let go of me, you oversized lummox!" Scorpion demanded before punching him across the face.

Rhino recoiled a bit before tossing Scorpion into a wall across from him. Shaking it off, Scorpion narrowed his eyes at Rhino before charging at him. Rhino did the same before a pair of metal arms shot between them. Both of them stopped and turned toward Doc Ock, who retracted his arms as he approached them.

"Enough," he spoke. "I did not go to the effort of breaking you out of prison just so you could quibble like children."

"Apologies, doctor," Rhino replied.

"Yeah…" Scorpion added, giving Rhino the side eye.

"I understand we all have our… frustrations," Doc Ock continued. "We've suffered much in our lives. But like Sandman said, we cannot reclaim what we have lost as long as Spider-Man lives. Once he is out of the way, our goals will be assured."

The others nodded as Ock turned away, moving back toward Vulture as he kept working on his wings.

"You didn't expect them to place nice out of the gate, did you?"

"I assumed there would be some friction," Ock admitted. "I just didn't expect it so soon. Still, the shared goal of Spider-Man destruction should keep them on the same page. At least for now."

"So how are we gonna pull that off, anyway?"

"We just need to wait until Spider-Man shows himself. Then, we close in around him," he raised one of his arms and snapped his pinchers. "Like a noose."

"Sounds like a plan," Toomes remarked. "How do you plan on finding him though."

Ock smiled as he turned toward the TV as Scorpion turned it back on.

"By watching lots of television."

Up in the shuttle, John and Paul prepared to reenter the Earth's atmosphere. After activating its thrusters, the shuttle began to reenter the Earth's atmosphere. As they braced themselves for the g-forces, something began stirring from the meteorite John Jameson recovered. A strange black goo-like substance began leaking out of a crack in the meteorite. It then seeped through the container and drip down onto the floor. It then slinked across the ground and under the door toward the cockpit.

Back at the Bugle, the team watched with bated breath as the shuttle came closer and closer to returning. Jameson himself crossed his fingers in trepidation.

"The shuttle has come out of its reentry blackout and we now go live to the astronauts."

The feed then switched to inside the shuttle, where John and Paul were preparing for their final approach.

"Control, this is victory," John relayed. "Enroute to reentry coordinates and are preparing to-"

Just then, Paul cried out in panic. John turned to see the black substance begin crawling up Paul's body, causing him to freak out. Some of the substance even made its way onto the controls, causing them to veer off course. This caused the picture to distort on the screen, much to everyone's shock.

"Get it off of me!" Paul cried out. "Help me!"

Finally, the picture cut out completely, causing Jameson to panic.

"What's happening?!" he demanded. "What's going on up there?!"

"I… I don't know," Robbie admitted.

Up in the shuttle, John did his best to keep the shuttle on course, but it was proving to be quite challenging.

"Mayday, mayday," he called out. "Mission control, do you copy?! We're veering off course! Repeat, our landing coordinates are not valid! Do you copy?!"

Back at the Bugle, Jameson slumped back in his chair as the news anchor came back on.

"It… appears mission control has lost contact with the shuttle. There's… no explanation as to why."

"John…" Jameson let out, looking down at a picture of the two of them together. "Hang on."

He's gonna pull through," Peter figured. "Right?"

"Hey, John's the best pilot there is," Ned argued. "If anyone can-"

"This just in," the news anchor cut in. "We are now receiving reports that the shuttle is off course, and is likely heading for the greater metropolitan area. Authorities are cautioning everyone to stay calm and await further instructions."

As the reporter was talking, Peter quickly fished out his cell phone and dialed May.

"Hello, Aunt May? You might need to ask Mr. Li if FEAST has a basement."

Back at the steel mill, Doctor Octopus continued watching the shuttle broadcast as the other five villains began gathering around.

"Sounds like JJ's son is in trouble," Scorpion mused. "Nice. Wish I could see him squirm."

"You got issues, man," Sandman remarked.

"Actually, this might be the opportunity we've been waiting for," Ock decided.

"How do ya figure?" Vulture asked, finishing with his wings.

"Think about it. When that shuttle crashes, who do you think will be the first one there to save its crew?"

Vulture smirked at the answer. "Spider-Man."

"I get it," Scorpion pieced together. "While Spidey's playing hero with the shuttle, that's when we jump him! He won't know what hit him!"

"Uh, question," Sandman spoke up. "How do we even know where that shuttle's gonna land?"

"I've been working on that," Ock replied, grabbing a nearby laptop and opening it up, allowing him to pull up a map of New York. "I've been tracking the trajectories of the shuttle and been able to narrow down its likely touchdown point," he began pointing on the map. "Fort Lee at the westernmost, Forest Hills at the easternmost. By my calculations… it will hit the George Washington Bridge."

Meanwhile, the shuttle continued its out-of-control descent, New York City now clearly in its sights as John continued to do his best to steer the ship away. As he did, however, the black substance began spreading up his body.

"No… no!" he cried out as it spread to his face. "Get off of me!"

"This just in," the news anchor relayed. "We've just been informed that NASA control believes that the shuttle will impact in the Hudson, within the vicinity of the George Washington Bridge."

"Come on!" Jameson let out, getting out of his seat. "We can take the chopper!"

"Jonah, wait!" Robbie spoke up. "They're not gonna let any air traffic in that area."

"I don't care! That's my son on that shuttle! I'm going!"

Jameson then took off, with Peter discretely slipping away.

"Fortunately," Peter let out, shutting the closet door closed and pulling out his Spider-Man mask. "I have a quicker way of getting there."

While Jameson made it to the roof and climbed into the copter, Peter fully suited up as Spider-Man and swung off, hoping to make it to the bridge in time.

On the bridge, Brock was listening to the news report about the shuttle on the radio.

"Authorities are advising motorists within the area to abandon their vehicles. Repeat, motorists should abandon their vehicles."

"Not in this lifetime," Brock decided, grabbing his camera. "If Parker can snap a pic like this, then so can I."

Brock then got out of his car and made his way across the bridge in the opposite direction of where everyone was fleeing.

Up in the air, the shuttle sailed high above the city, causing citizens to flee in horror, afraid it could drop down on top of them. John managed to pull some of the black substance from his face, allowing him to see at last. He then tried steering the shuttle through the city, the wing scraping against some buildings as he did.

"Gotta… make it to the river!" he let out, steering as best he could.

At the bridge, Doc Ock climbed along the side of it, trying to get a good angle on where the shuttle would land.

"It should be here any moment," Ock relayed over comms. "Is everyone in position?"

"Vulture in position," Vulture replied, perched on the top of one of the the suspension towers.

"Scorpion in position," Scorpion relayed, clinging to the cables lining the bridge.

"Electro on stand by," Electro added, on the upper deck of the bridge while draining the batteries of the abandoned cars to give him a jolt.

"Rhino ready," Rhino commented, flipping over cars and causing them to land on top of each other.

"Sandman here," Sandman finished off, shifting himself into sand and positioning himself on top of a truck before becoming solid again.

At that moment, the shuttle came into view of the bridge, much to the dismay of the crew.

"We're gonna hit it!" Paul cried out.

"Can't…. Turn!"

Seeing the shuttle fast approaching, Electro flew off, Sandman turned into sand and floated away, and Rhino ran for cover as the shuttle came in close. The shuttle's wing collided with a suspension tower, causing it to break off as the shuttle itself crashed onto the bridge. Seeing it heading right toward him, Eddie Brock leaped out of the way, narrowly avoiding it as it skidded along the road, destroying several cars along the way. It made its way toward the edge of the bridge, snapping through several cables before finally coming to a stop, the nose of the shuttle poking over the edge. Scorpion leaped off his cable and landed on the suspension tower as he looked down at the bridge.

"Welp, it looks like the doc called it," he noted.

Vulture then looked up, focusing the goggles in his helmet as he noted something fast approaching.

"And not only that… here comes the Spider-Man."

As noted, Spider-Man quickly swung onto the scene, making a beeline toward the shuttle. He quickly touched down on it, grabbing the door and tearing it off.

"Colonel Jameson!" he called out before leaping inside.

As he did though, the shuttle began to rock back and forth, signaling him that it was unstable.

"Ok, gotta watch those sudden movements," Spidey noted.

Just then, heard a groaning coming from the cockpit, causing him to spring into action. He tore the door to the cockpit open and saw John and Paul rendered unconscious from the crash.

"Oh god…" he let out.

Outside, Eddie picked himself up and made his way over to the shuttle. As he did though, Spider-Man leaped out with the astronauts and landed on a nearby truck. Eddie stopped and hit himself as Spider-Man set them down, prompting him to take some pics.

"You two should be safe here until the authorities arrive," Spidey told them before musing to himself. "How's that for a headline? 'Spidey saves publishers son'. If that doesn't get me on JJ's good side, then-"

Just then, his spider-sense went off, much to his surprise.

"Spider-sense? But what-" he looked around and saw a car flying toward him. "Whoa!"

He quickly leaped up, narrowly avoiding it as it landed on the other side of the car. As he touched down, he saw the Rhino slamming his fist down on another car, causing him in as to who attacked him.

"Rhino? Here?" Spidey questioned before firing a web. "Well, it's one baddie off the list for later."

He then swung off toward a nearby truck that was overturned and landed on it, allowing him to come face-to-face with his muscular opponent.

"Hey Rhino," Spidey greeted. Wasn't expecting to see you here. Pissy that Russia lost the space race?"

Rhino chuckled a little in response. "You is funny Spider."

"Hehe," Spidey remarked as he stood up. "Wow. I knew they taught traits in the slammer, but a sense of humor,"

Just then, his spider sense suddenly started flaring up again.

"Odd," he let out, rubbing his head. "Usually don't get the tingles when the bad guy's in plain sight-"

Just then, a sand fist sprang out of nowhere, nailing Spider-Man in the face and sending him flying into the support tower before landing on the ground.

"Sorry Spidey," Sandman remarked, landing on the truck and reforming into his original form. "Was I supposed to wait my turn?"

Spider-Man groaned a little as he picked himself up. "Oh, that's cute. You two are working together again?"

Just then, something dripped down in front of him. His eyes went wide when he realized it was acid, causing him to look up and see Scorpion clinging to the tower above him.

"Friad it ain't gonna be that easy, bug boy."

Scorpion quickly dropped down, causing Spider-Man to flip out of the way as he landed. He landed on the side of a truck, staring down his three super-powered foes. Before he could respond, Spider-Man heard a loud whirring sound, making him perk up. He gazed at the top of the tower and saw the Vulture spreading his wings and rising into the air. He then dove down at Spider-Man, prompting him to leap out of the way right before the wings sliced at the truck. He rolled backward before landing on his feet. As he stabilized himself, he suddenly heard a car alarm going off. He turned around, seeing several car alarms going off simultaneously. Just then, two of the cars were hit with a surge of electricity before being moved apart, revealing Electro as he stared down with a smirk.

"Sup, Spider-Man," Electro remarked before launching the cars at him.

Spider-Man quickly leaped onto one car and sprung off toward Electro. Before he could reach him, Scorpion's tail wrapped around his ankle and slammed him onto one of the cars. Scorpion then swung him around and launched him into the air toward Vulture. Seeing him coming, Spider-Man shot a web at Vulture and yanked hard, allowing him to launch past him toward one of the bridge cables. He grabbed the cable and swung around on it before leaping toward the ground. Before he could touchdown though, Sandman's massive hand rose up and slapped him down hard. Before he had the chance to pick himself up, Rhino charged forward and rammed into him, knocking him to the edge of the bridge. Spider-Man shook his head in pain, looking up and seeing the five of them close in on him.

Seeing a collection of my greatest enemies ganging up on me felt all too familiar to a nightmare I had recently… and it didn't end well.

"Man… heck of a club you guys got here," Spidey taunted, trying to sound brave. "Hard to believe you guys went to all this trouble just for little ole me."

"Believe it webhead," Sandman remarked. "You may have beaten us before in the past,"

"But now that the six of us have joined forces," Scorpion continued. "You don't stand a chance!"

"Six?" Spider-Man questioned. "Hate to break it to you, but there's only five of-"

Just then, Spider-Man felt his spider-sense went off one last time. He quickly turned around to see Doc Ock's arms rising up toward him. He tried to leap out of the way but one of them smacked him back, knocking him to the ground as Doc Ock pulled himself up, much to Spidey's surprise.

"Doctor Octavius…" he let out in disbelief.

Just imagine my shock. Doctor Octavius was not only alive but leading a group of supervillains with the sole purpose of taking me down… not my day.

"Now then, arachnid…" Ock spoke as his fellow villains came to his side. "Any last words?"

"Homina homina homina comes to mind," Spidey dreaded as his sinister foes closed in.
