After I showed him around we went to Sauske's compound and collected everything of use. Including of course the stupid stone which I would later grind down into dust. I can't believe that all of this bullshit happened because of some stupid rock carving by Zetsu of all things.

It was pretty obvious that in the past month there had been someone checking around the compound and grabbing documents from different houses. Joke's on them though because Sauske told me that all the scrolls and books were decoys with the important parts missing while the real ones would be hidden in compartments.

I laughed and named this the week long treasure hunt. Surprisingly it actually did take a week to get everything. Who the heck creates a hidden alcove in the middle of the dang support beam of their own house. That's just insane.

I put all of the books and scrolls in the library. Only after I had read them of course so that I could put them in the proper area. I wonder if it was common for our ancestors to write filler. I mean who cares if your kid got ten inch carrot from the garden.

"Wait one second." I yelled out before tossing the book I was putting back into the science section when Sauske had left it out. This of course made Tsun, Dere, and Sauske to jump in fright before yelling at me when they noticed me grabbing books from the filler section of the library and tossing them on the table.

"Hey Sauske go grab me some paper and a brush. I think I might have just discovered something amazing."

I heard him grumble a bit, but he did go to get the items I had asked him for.

"So mind telling me what this is about?" He asked when he came back with a couple of pieces of paper and writing supplies.

"Do you remember when I said that half of the library was made of things that were wrong or just filler?" I asked as I leaned over a book.

"Yeah, even three fourths of my families books and scrolls were filler. Even I checked them, so what's with this?" He asked while motioning towards the papers and books.

"Well while I was thinking I suddenly thought about how that was a ridiculous amount of filler to have, especially in libraries made for the two biggest clans."

"So, what are you meaning? That it isn't just filler?" Sauske asked confused.

"Exactly." I told him with a smile. "We live in a village that was made by two clans that were at war and had numerous other individuals joining as well. There was also other ninja groups who were also potential enemies. So what do you do when you need to protect important information from people outside of the clan? You make a code and use it to change the information." I answered my own question in my excitement.

"I remember everything I've read including a number of different types of code used by both your clan and mine. I'm sure that one of the codes or possibly a mixture of them will make the real information appear."

"That's amazing." Sauske exclaimed.

"Shh. We need to keep this quiet. If Tsunade finds out that there is a secret written in these books and that I'm trying to crack them then she'll confiscate all of the books just in case there's information in them that she thinks might be harmful."

"Okay, I got it. I'll go back to reading the books I already have, just let me know when you crack the code." Sauske said with a quick nod before going back to his books.

The next week flew by quickly I spent the morning with Sauske teaching him the exercises I was using and we would wake up early to do the exercises and then go on a quick patrol with the twins around the estate. After which we would eat breakfast and then do a quick spar. We would then take a bath and go to the library until lunch. After lunch we would spend the rest of the day until supper in there. After supper we would repeat what we did in the morning and take another bath before going to bed.

It was pretty repetitive, but it was the best way to utilize our time.

After the week we went back to the academy. The only difference in the schedule we had made was that instead of going to the library after our morning bath we would go to the academy until three to work on socializing. Sauske wasn't very good at talking to others and was often silent unless spoken to which made him seem aloof, but I knew that it was just that he was incredibly awkward at speaking. His family was a very conservative type of family and nobody would talk to each other unless they felt there was a need to. He put it as just enjoying the peaceful silence.

Ironically his peaceful silence was constantly broken by Sakura, Ino, and Naruto on a regular basis, which was probably why in the series he didn't like any of them. He did seem to like Shikamaru's attitude however as he rarely talked and would rather take a nap or play a game of shogi. I introduced them to each other and they would often sit together and either relax in silence or quietly play a game of shogi. I felt rather proud of myself since it seemed that Sauske was well on the way to being able to properly connect with others. Though we did still talk about what we knew of Itachi and tried to guess about who it was that caused the massacre. I already knew it was Danzo and Obito, but even if I told him I wouldn't have any proof and at worse he would rush headlong to take revenge.

I kept getting harassed by Ino and Sakura for information on why Sauske kept coming to school with me and I eventually snapped at them.

"You two don't even actually know him beyond the fact that he is good looking and is an Uchia. Do either of you even know the things that he likes or dislikes? Do you two even care about that? Honestly the both of you have been spending so much time at each others throats over him when it is blatantly obvious that he isn't interested in either of you. Get over yourselves and quit harassing anyone with any connection to him just for a single crumb of information. I swear you two are worse then stalkers, at least they know well enough to stay in the background and like a person from a distance. You two on the other hand just rush head long to attacking anyone who you feel is getting to close or opposing him without considering his feelings for even a second. So sit down, shut up, and reflect on what you have been doing." I yelled at the two in front of the whole class during lunch when they had been harassing me day in and day out for information to the point of leaving mean messages in my locker telling me to stay away from Sauske.

That was the first time I had made two girls sit at their desks and cry in silence. Did I feel bad? Maybe a little, but when things need to be said they need to be said, so I regret nothing.

Literally everyone in the class was silent and walked on eggshells around me the rest of the day. The next day Ino came to me and apologized and also apologized to Sauske for everything she had been doing. My scolding had made her see how bad she had been acting and had opened her eyes to how others saw her. She even thanked me and turned away to go to her seat, but not before I had caught the light blush she had as she had turned away.

My god I think I just caused a flag with Ino.

Sauske also caught that and would tease me about it every once in a while. He might not be interested in a relationship, but he can certainly tell how someone feels. I didn't mind though. Ino was a pretty girl and considering that the choices for relationships in this class was her, Sakura, or Hinata I didn't think Ino was a bad choice. There was other girls in the class, but honestly they were all kind of generic. Brown or black hair in different styles with Brown or black eyes. Their voices were all nearly identical, which while it wasn't bad it kind of sounded like it droned on when more than two of them were speaking at the same time.

Hinata rarely talked and was rather pretty, but she was so ridiculously in love with Naruto that I would swear the rest of the world didn't even exist to her, it was kind of scary.

I once talked to her just for the hell of it and thought about pushing them to become friends at least. Though that didn't work at all. The conversation went like this.

"Hey Hinata, how are you doing today?"

"I'm doing okay Alex, was there something you needed me for?"

"Nah, I just noticed how you were always watching Naruto and wondered why you don't try to be friends with him? He seems like he would be pretty open to being friends with pretty much anybody."

"I don't know, I'm not really good with talking with others because I get nervous really easy and Naruto is so energetic like a ball of sunshine."

"Well the only way to get over being nervous is to try to be as brave as you can and just talk to someone. After you do that a couple of times it just gets easier and easier until you don't even get nervous anymore."

"Maybe, I'll definitely give it a try. For sure."

"That's the spirit. Oh hey there's Naruto, wait why is he taking off his jumpsuit top. Wait, Hinata, HINATA!"

She had apparently fainted at the sight of Naruto starting to undress. Ironically I now knew that she was a total pervert even as a kid.

Though the fact that a person could be considered a full blown adult at the age of twelve if they became a ninja kind of made me feel a little off. Then again the fact that twelve year olds were trained to become assassins did need some sort of perks. Plus the life expectancy of people in this world was crap, what with the mountain sized monsters, the constant wars, and the fact that literally everyone who didn't live in your village and sometimes even then would slit your throat at the drop of a hat. I take back my judgement, you know what, the fact that anyone survived until twelve is already a pretty good benchmark on your ability to adult properly at this point. So you all do you and keep on kicking.

Apparently the age for having kids in this world was whenever you wanted since you could die at the drop of a hat and having kids meant more workforce. Basically the second someone hit puberty it was legally okay to have kids and get married. So good luck Hinata.

The rest of the year went pretty well and I finally got to meet Akamaru, Kiba's partner. It was hilarious when Akamaru marked Kiba the second they met. I laughed so hard at the face Kiba made. Even Tsume and Hana were laughing, but I just told Kiba that at least Akamaru cared enough about him to mark him and he was being quite possessive. That made Kiba feel a lot better.

After everyone had graduated from the third year in the academy it was finally time to start practicing ninja things. This point was also called the rain year. The reason it was called that was because students ended up dropping out of the academy like rain drops. I was also finally going to be able to start bringing Tsun and Dere to the classes since bonding with your partners while using chakra was considered to be a necessary skill for shinobi with partners.

Sakura still hadn't talked to me since that day I had yelled at her and Ino. She would try to avoid me if she could and interacted with me as little as possible when she couldn't avoid me.

Ino on the other hand had started to move a lot closer to me and was definitely taking the things I had told her to heart. She had started with learning the things that I liked as well as the things that I disliked. I had found out from Sauske that she had been asking him and the others I hung around with about me and whether I had any type of girl I had shown interest in.

Sauske was feeling rather odd about it since he wasn't sure how to feel about her change of heart. I simply told him that more often then not a womans heart could easily change at the drop of a hat. To prove my point I broke one of Tsunade's bottles of alcohol and she was about to rage against me about it until I pretended to be all innocent and told her I was planning to give her some money to buy a new one. She immediately started acting as if she was worried about whether I was hurt and left almost right after I gave her the money without even cleaning up the bottle.

"That my dear Sauske is the prime example of how fickle a womans heart can be." I said with a sagely tone.

"Women are all insane." He sighed out.

"Yes, yes they are." I nodded before cleaning up the mess.

My work on the filler library had made some headway. I had marked the books with 1 - 10 based off of the different encryptions that had been used. As only Sauske and I knew they were encrypted it just seemed as if I was trying to organize them into groups to anyone who didn't know. I had finished with that and was just waiting to start working on writing down the real information for Sauske and I to read.
