Mina and the other girls all piled into the elevator. She really hoped that she was making a good impression on Kuri. It was probably really hard for her, considering that she had left behind all of her family and friends just to go to school here. She would need plenty of new friends immediately! And getting her those friends meant hanging out. She did worry that maybe Kuri didn't really appreciate all of her efforts. She seemed to be a bit standoffish, but Mina guessed that it was just because she was a bit shy, and needed time to adjust to the new place, and the new people.

And what better way to adjust than to throw her right into the fray and force her to adapt. Just kidding! Like she would be that inconsiderate. She understood that some people needed to take things slow, but she didn't really understand why. Maybe it was just because she was so good at making friends. In any case, she was determined to make Kuri feel as comfortable as possible, whatever it called for.

They got to Kuri's room and went inside. Mina was very excited. Woohoo! I can't wait to see what she did with her room! The girls all stepped inside and looked around. Mina first noticed the bed, which held about ten different stuffed animals. Aww, that's so cute. I guess Kuri is the cuddly type. But then again, she seemed pretty stiff when I was hanging on to her arm earlier…

The other girls also began to walk around her room and inspect other aspects of it. Kuri stood by the doors to the balcony, closing her curtains, which were the same light blue color as her bedspread. She seemed stiff again, so Mina decided to go and make her feel less awkward.

"Your room is so cute, Kuri," she said with a smile. Kuri jumped slightly. Mina guessed she'd accidentally snuck up on her. She turned to look at Mina, then smiled.

"Oh, thank you." She went to go fiddle with her bedsheets next. Mina almost sighed. This girl sure was shy. She turned to Ochako, who was currently looking at something with Yao-Momo. Mina went to go see what they were staring at and found a cluster of printed photos that had been taped directly to the wall above Kuri's desk. Ochako turned to Kuri.

"Are these pictures of your family?" she asked. Kuri looked up and walked over to them.

"Well, some of them are. There are also some pictures of me with my friends, but most of them are of my family," she said. Kuri smiled and tilted her head slightly. "I put up these pictures so I could look at them whenever I missed all the people I'd left behind in America." Kuri was smiling, but Mina could see some sadness in her eyes. Like she could start crying at any second. She didn't blame her, though. She would totally miss her family too if she had to leave them for such a long time. In instinct, Mina reached out for Kuri's hand and held it. Kuri jumped at the touch, but seemed to relax after a second, and tightened her grip on Mina's hand. She smiled gratefully and gave her hand a squeeze.

Jirou, who had made her way over to them, pointed to a picture where Kuri stood with two adults. "Are those your parents?" she asked. Kuri looked at the picture and nodded. Mina leaned in to get a closer look at the photo.

In it, Kuri was wearing a dress and an orchid lei and was holding what looked like a certificate. There was a sign in the background that was in English, but Mina recognized the word "graduation", so she guessed that this photo had been taken at her middle school graduation, though she didn't really know what an American graduation looked like. Her parents stood behind her, smiling proudly. Kuri's smile looked more forced, but she still had the aura of pride for her accomplishment.

Kuri's father was the Japanese one, as Kuri had mentioned before, and he has a kind look in his eyes. He was also very tall and buff. Would it be bad for Mina to admit that he looked hot? Probably. Her mother on the other hand looked stern but was a relatively small person. Mina wondered what their quirks were, and if now would be a good time to ask.

"Ooo, are those your pet cats?" Hagakure asked suddenly. The sleeve of her t-shirt was poking up and Kuri's eyes followed to where it was pointing to the picture of two cats: one white and one black. Kuri nodded, then went on to talk about them for a minute.

While she talked, Mina's eyes drifted to some of the other photos. Her gaze passed over photos of Kuri and a couple of friends, to a grouping of photos that were all of the same guy. For a second, Mina thought that it could be Kuri's boyfriend, then she realized how closely they resembled each other, and remembered that Kuri had mentioned that she had a little brother. She smiled fondly. Kuri must really love her brother.

Speaking of crushes, that would be a perfect topic to talk about! It would probably be good for Kuri to know who liked who in class. And it would give them an excuse to talk about all of the hotties in class! But how to start the conversation… Oh, wait! How could I forget all about how Bakugo acted towards her today? We need to talk about that.

Mina suggested that they all sit down since they were pretty much done looking at the pictures. Everyone else agreed, and they all sat down around the little table on the floor.

"Hey, Kuri," Mina said. "I'm sorry about how Bakugo acted with you. He's always like that. Just make sure not to call him annoying when he's around," she said with a wink. Kuri smiled, slightly amused. I probably shouldn't paint Bakugo as a terrible person though, since he is okay sometimes. She looked up thoughtfully. "But, I guess it really was very nice of him to save you from Mineta." Tsu nodded.

"Mineta is a really awful pervert, make sure to watch out for him. Luckily, Bakugo did stop him, so I guess it means that he isn't rude all the time," Tsu said.

"You know," Ochako said. "Bakugo is pretty much fine as long as you don't try to start a fight with him. He'll pretty much ignore you unless you challenge him."

"Well, I might have pushed his buttons a bit today," Kuri said. "But I did go and apologize after, so I think things should be fine now." Mina was a bit shocked that Kuri had just been able to say sorry to Bakugo, and get away with not having to battle him, but she guessed he had made an exception for her because she's new. She grinned.

"He can be an asshole sometimes, but he's ours. But just so you know, if he gives you more trouble just tell us and we'll beat him up!"

"I think he'd beat us up before we could lay a finger on him," Jirou said with a chuckle. Mina rolled her eyes but smiled.

"Whatever. My point is, we've got your back, Kuri," she said, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"That's right," Yao-Momo said. "We want you to feel welcome here, even though you've only joined us now."

"We want you to feel right at home, Kuri, so feel free to ask us anything!" Hagakure said.

"We don't have a lot of girls in this class, which is why we need to stick together," Ochako said, linking her arm through Kuri's. Kuri gave a warm smile to them all.

"Thanks so much, you guys," she said.

After they had sat in silence for two seconds, Mina started squirming, trying to think of a way to naturally bring up the guys in class. Hey, you don't really know about the guys in class, so I think we should tell you. While we're at it, let's talk crushes! No, maybe that wasn't subtle enough. Jirou groaned, bringing everyone's attention to her.

"Mina, we all know that you want to talk about boys, so just start the conversation and spare us your struggle of trying to be subtle," she said. Mina blushed a bit and laughed. Maybe she was too predictable.

"Yeah, you caught me," she said. "But it was mostly because I thought Kuri needed to learn more about the guys in our class." Jirou rolled her eyes, but a grin crept onto her face. "I think we can start with some of the just plain-old nice guys from our class. You'll be able to get to know all of them in your own time, so I'll just mention a couple of things about them. Let's start with Iida, he's our class rep. Anyone want to go around and say something about him?"

"Oh, he's very smart, but kind of eccentric," Ochako said. "Aoyama is also kind of eccentric, but in a different way. He's just very flashy, I guess." Kuri nodded in understanding. She'd barely been here for a day, but perhaps she had already noticed how sparkly Aoyama always was. "Oh, and there's also Deku. He's a little sensitive sometimes, but he's also really strong and cool." Mina thought that she saw Ochako blush a bit, but it might've just been her imagination.

"Another nice guy in our class is Sato," Hagakure said. "Remember that time he made that cake? Oh, that was so yummy!" Mina and the other girls nodded in agreement. She almost drooled at the thought.

"Ah, there's also Koda. He's very quiet, but he's nice if you talk to him. Also, he has a pet bunny. If you ask nicely, I bet he'll let you pet it," Tsu said.

"Shoji also can be very nice, though I haven't talked to him much. But I must say that he does give off a very chivalrous air," Yao-Momo said. They all turned to Jirou, who had yet to mention any of the guys. She shifted in her seat.

"Well," she said. "It seems like you guys are purposely mentioning all the people that you guys don't have crushes on, so we can get to that later I guess. I think that just leaves Sero as the last nice guy that none of you guys have a crush on. Anyway, Sero is cool. There's not much that I can think to say about him. Now, Mina, go ahead and start talking about crushes, because I know that's what you want."

Mina jokingly frowned at her. She wasn't that predictable. But nonetheless, she cleared her throat and beamed.

"Since I'm the one who brought it up, I think it's only fair that I say who I have a crush on. And that person is…" Mina drummed her fingers against the table. "Kirishima! And now you know, Kuri. Don't tell him, okay? I've always thought that he was cool, but I'm not ready to tell him yet." Kuri raised an eyebrow.

"You don't seem shy about telling people who you like, but you can't tell him. That's kinda silly," she said. Mina was going to tell her that wasn't true, but it really was. She liked to tell other people her secrets, but for some reason, she just couldn't bring herself to tell Kirishima how she felt. Not when they were such good friends.

"Well, that's enough about me. Maybe Tsu should go next?" Mina wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. Tsu's cheeks turned pink.

"Um, Tokoyami and I are dating," she said. Kuri congratulated her.

"Okay, I want to go next!" Hagakure said. "I have a crush on Ojiro!"

"Oh, he does seem like a nice guy," Kuri said. Mina knew that the others would all deny their crushes, though it was obvious who they liked.

"Now," Mina said. "It's time to tell you about the crushes of the people in denial." She stood up and pointed at Jirou, who scooted back immediately. "This girl has a crush on Denki, but she refuses to admit it because she can't believe that she fell for him." Jirou's face turned bright red, and Kuri chuckled.

"I don't like him! He's a pervert," Jirou stammered out. Mina rolled her eyes. She knew that Denki did most of it to make her jealous because he liked her. But there was no way she was going to ruin the fun of watching them get together by just telling her that he likes her too. First, Jirou would need to admit her feelings.

She then turned to Yao-Momo, who was also giggling a bit. When she realized that the attention had turned to her, she stopped laughing. "This one really cares about Todoroki, but insists that she only likes him as a friend." Yao-Momo blushed a bit.

"I- I told you it isn't like that! He really is just a friend," Yao-Momo claimed. Kuri giggled a bit.

"There's no need to be ashamed of your feelings, Yao-Momo," Kuri said with a smile. Mina stooped back down to Kuri and went to whisper in her ear.

"You know, Todoroki totally likes her too, though I don't think he's realized either." Kuri's mouth opened in a surprised "o".

"That's so cute," Kuri whispered back. "I hope they get their feelings sorted out soon." Mina nodded, then stood back up.

"Okay, and the last one," Mina said, and pointed at Ochako. "She either has a crush on Iida or Midoriya, but she still won't tell us which one she likes!" She blushed and covered her face. She lifted into the air and began to float around in the air. Kuri giggled again.

"So which one of them do you like, Uraraka?" Kuri asked with a laugh. Mina smiled proudly. She had successfully integrated Kuri into their small group of girls. She knew that talking about crushes was the perfect way to form closer bonds.

"I keep telling you that it's not like that! I don't like either of them!" Ochako exclaimed. Now that everyone else's crushes had been named, Mina was wondering if there was anyone that Kuri liked. Whether they were back in America or if there was someone here who had caught her eye already.

"Since we're on the topic of crushes," Mina said, drawing the attention back to her. "I was wondering if there was anyone that you like, Kuri. Is there?" Kuri tilted her head and looked to the ceiling in thought for a second.

"No, not at the moment," she said. Hagakure jumped up and stuck her arm out. Mina guessed that she was doing a thumbs up.

"That's okay, because there's plenty of hotties at our school, so you'll have no problem finding someone to like," Hagakure said. "Plus, you're really pretty and nice, so I bet you'd have no trouble scoring a nice guy." Kuri paused, then smiled.

"Oh, thanks," she said. Mina was about to ask what else they wanted to talk about when Tsu turned to look at the clock.

"Looks like it's getting late. We should probably leave you now. Wouldn't want to keep you up too long on your first day here, after all," she said. Mina whined, but she understood the sentiment, and bid Kuri goodnight, then left with the other girls.

"See you tomorrow, Kuri," Mina said as she walked out of the room. Kuri returned her smile.

"See you tomorrow," she said. "Goodnight, everyone."
