Before we start I would just like to clarify that the Robin in this story is female, in case anyone was confused. Now here's chapter 2.
Chapter 2
Where Shepherds meets Steel
It has been a few days since Simon appeared in that field and he still hasn't found anything other than water. "Aaah! Where's a town? I have been walking in this field for what seems like forever. And I'm sure I passed that rook 20 times." Simon said as he pointed to a random rock in the field. "Ok it's official I lost my mind." Simon said as he pinched his nose. "Ok Simon you're tired, you're hungry, and you haven't seen nothing, but grasslands for days. You just need to find a town and get some food and sleep." Simon said to himself, before he started to walk again.
Meanwhile on another part of the field Chrom, Lissa, and a tall white skin man with hazel eyes, and mid length messy brown hair, wearing heavy Blue armor with a few patches of silver on it. A silver spear on his back, and a brown horse with blue and silver armor, with some blue fabric on it, and a saddle on it walking next to the man.
"Milord we have been walking for days and we found nothing." The man said to Chrom. "Maybe you're right Frederick. We've been at this for a while and found nothing. Maybe we should go home." Chrom said to the man.
"Chrom what is that?" Lissa said to Chrom a slim young woman. She has white skin, her eyes were closed, white hair that were tied into two ponytails that went down to her chest, she was wearing tan cloth armor with a dark violet skirt over her armor, brown boots, belt and gloves, and a light purple coat that that has a gold outline, gold buttons, and a large ring of gold at the end of the sleeves, and some eyes on the back and on the sleeves, and in her hands was a yellow book, with a sword strapped to her side.
"It's a woman." Chrom said as they all ran to the woman. "Chrom, we have to do something." Lissa said to Chrom. "What do you propose we do?" Chrom asked Lissa as the woman started to open her purple eyes. "I… I dunno…" Lissa said to Chrom, before they noticed the woman awake. "I see you're awake now." Chrom said to the woman. "Hey there!" Lissa said to the woman. "There're better places to take a nap than on the ground. You know. Give me your hand." Chrom said to the woman.
The woman didn't say anything before grabbing Chrom's hand with her right hand showing off the same symbol that was on her coat. Chrom then helped the women up. "You all right?" Chrom asked the woman. "Y-yes… Thank you, Chrom." The woman said to Chrom. "Ah, then you know who I am?" Chrom asked the woman. "No, actually I… it's strange… Your name, it just… came to me…" The woman said to Chrom. "Hmm, how curious. Tell me, what's your name? What brings you here?" Chrom asked the woman.
"My name is… it's… hmm?" The woman said to Chrom, bust struggling to think. "You don't know your own name?" Chrom asked the woman. I'm sure if… I'm sorry, but where am I, exactly?" The woman asked Chrom as she looked around. "Hey, I've heard of this. It's called Amnesia!" Lissa said to Chrom. "It's called a load of pegasus dung. We're to believe you remember Milord's name, but not your own?" Frederick said to the woman. "B-but it's the truth!" The woman said to Frederic. "What if it IS true, Frederick? We can't just leave her here, alone and confused. What sort of Shepherds would we be then?" Chrom said to Frederick.
"Just the same, milord, I must emphasise caution. Would not do to let a wolf into our flock." Frederick said to Chrom. "Right then. We'll take her back to town and sort this out there." Chrom said to everyone. "Wait just one moment. Do I have a say in this?" The woman asked Chrom. "Peace, friend. I promise we'll hear all you have to say back in town. Now come." Chrom said to everyone as they all started to walk. With Chrom and Lissa leading the way, the woman in the middle, and Federick behind the woman.
Then after walking for a little bit, the woman stopped. "What will you do with me? Am I to be your prisoner?" The woman asked Chrom. "Hah! You'll be free to go once we establish you're no enemy of Ylisse." Chrom said to the woman. "Is that where we are? Ylisse?" The woman asked Chrom with a confused look on her face. "You've never heard of the halidom? Ha! Someone pay this actor. She plays quite the fool! The furrowed brow is especially convincing…" Frederick said to everyone, but stopped when Chrom interrupted him.
"Frederick, please. This land is known as the Halidom of Ylisse. Our ruler, Emmeryn, is called the exalt. I suppose proper introductions are in order… my name is Chrom, but then, you already knew that. The delicate one here is my little sister, Lissa." Chrom said to the woman, as he jestered his hand to Lissa. "I am NOT delicate! ...Hmph!" Lissa said to Chrom getting a little mad. "Ignore my brother, please. He can be a bit thick sometimes. But you're lucky the Shepherds found you. Brigands would've been a rude awakening." Lissa said to The woman, with a cheerful voice.
"Shepherds? You tend sheep? In full armour?" The woman asked Chrom. "Heh, it's a dangerous job. Just ask Frederick the Wary here." Chrom said to the woman, as they all turned to Frederick. "A title I shall wear with pride. Gods forbid one of us keeps an appropriate level of caution. I have every wish to trust you, stranger, but my station mandates otherwise." Frederick said to the woman. "I understand, sir. I would do no less myself. My name is Robin I just remembered that. How odd. I suppose that's one mystery solved." Robin said to Frederick, as Lissa turned away from the group.
"Robin? Is that foreign? As, well. We can discuss it later. We're almost to town. Once we-." Chrom said to Robin, but was interrupted by Lissa yelling. "Chrom look! The town!" Lissa yelled to Chrom in a panic fluid voice. Everyone then turns to see a nearby town on fire.
"Damn it! The town is ablaze! Those blasted brigands, no doubt. Frederick, Lissa! Quickly!" Chrom said to Lissa and Frederick. "What about her?" Frederick asked Chrom. "Unless she's on fire as well, it can wait!" Chrom said to Frederick. "Aptly out, milord." Frederick said to Chrom. "Let's go already!" Lissa said before everyone but Robin started to run. "But what about- Hmm." Robin said before she started to think. Then after a second of thinking she ran after the others.
Meanwhile walking to the town form another direction. Simon was poking at his Dynamax band, not paying attention to where he was going. "What's the deal with this thing?" Simon said as he felt something hard under his feet. Simon then stopped poking at his Dynamax band and looked down, and noticed that he was walking on a stone path. Then Simon looked up and finally noticed that he was in the town.
"Finally a town. Now things can finally get better." Simon said as he walked around a connor. Then he noticed that the town was on fire. "Or not." Simon said to himself. Then Simon noticed a man in front of a church talking to a small group. "Gwa ha ha! Get to it, lads! Grab anything shiny, and put the rest to the torch! We gots an example to set for these Ylissean types! Ain't that right, lass?" The man probably, the leader said to his men.
"Great bandits. Just my luck. Best to leave before this becomes my problem." Simon said as he turned around. "S-stay away from me! Please! Someone! HEEEEELP!" A young woman yelled as she ran away from a few bandits. "Now it's my problem." Simon said as he turned around again and ran to the woman.
Then Simon got in between the Woman and the bandits chasing her. "Look what we got here, a kid trying to play hero." One of the bandits said to Simon. "Run, I hold them back." Simon said to the woman. "But what about you?" The woman asked Simon. "I'll be fine. Just go." Simon said to the woman, as he pushed her forward. The woman looked at Simon before going. "Do you really think you can bet the two of us alone." One of the bandits asked Simon.
"I believe you missed count." Simon said to the bandits. "Oh really because all I see is just one fool and the two of us." One of the bandits said to Simon. "You're right, but you forgot about my four Pokemon. Come on out Copperajah, Excadrill, Mawile, Perrserker." Simon said as he threw his four Heavy Balls into the air. Where they all opened.
The first one is a large dark blue green Pokemon, with a block body, grey eyes, with four round legs, with three outlines of toes on its legs, with a copper outline over the front of the toes. Four bumps on the top of its head, a large trunk with three metal bumps on the end of it, to street short metal tusk, two triangle shaped ears with three bumps on the end of them, a tail with a teal tip, and a teal underbelly, a teal tip on the end of it's trunk, and had patches of copper on its body, with a long stretch of copper on the back of it's trunk, and a copper mask on its face.
The second one was a mole that was a about 2 feet tall, with white eyes, it had brown fur, with some red spots, and a white long face, with a pink noise, and two red lines on it's cheeks, and had three metal claws with two sharp blades on the back of the middle claw, and a metal horn with two sharp blades on top of it.
The third one was a small human-like creature with red eyes, a yellow body, with black hands and feet, and black hair with a large ponytail. But the ponytail was actually a large mouth with multiple sharp white teeth and a yellow circle on it.
The last one was a large, very hairy grey cat with some of its hair being lighter and darker then other parts, it stand on two legs, had a mess of hair that looked like a beard under its mouth, which had sharp white teeth, orange eyes and a black helmet on top of it's head, with two curved horns on the side with a silver tip, two small spicks. And a silver coin in the middle of the helmet.
"What can you summon those monsters?!" One of the bandits asked Simon. "They're not Monsters. Their Pokemon. Now let me show you our sigure move. Everyone uses Iron Head!" Simon said to his Pokemon. "Copperajah/ Excadrill/ Mawile/ Perrserker." All of Simon's Pokemon said as, the four bumps on the Copperajah head turned grey and rough, the horn on Excadrill's head grew and turned grey and rough, the top of Mawile's ponytail turned grey and rough, and Perrseker's helmet turned grey and rough.
"What the?" The bandits said, before Excadrill and Perrserker slammed their heads into one of the bandits, sanding him flying, and as Mawile slammed her Iron Head from below sending the other bandit into the air, once in the air, Copperajah charged and hit the bandit hard sending him flying just like the other bandit. Then both bandits landed in the middle of the rest of the bandits.
This made the other bandits and their leader turn to Simon. "So who's next?" Simon asked the bandits. This made the bandit leader crack a smile. "Intasting. Men kill that hero and capture his monster. We can get a lot of money from selling them." The bandit leader said to him men. "But sir those things look strong?" One of the bandits said to the bandit leader. "Then geather everyone." The bandit leader said to the bandit. "Yes sir." The bandit said as he went to go gather more bandits that were scattered throughout the town.
"Are you all ready?" Simon asked his Pokemon as bandits circled them. "Copperajah/ Excadrill/ Mawile/ Perrserker." All of Simon's Pokemon said as they got into their battle stans. "Then let's get this party started." Simon said as he got ready to fight.
Meanwhile a few blocks away from Simon Lissa, Chrom, and Frederick, came into the town, with Frederick riding his horse. "Chrom, we have to stop them!" Lissa said as she looked at the destruction. "Don't worry, after today, these bandits won't be bothering anyone ever again…" Chrom said to Lissa, as Robin appeared. "Wait!" Robin said to Chrom. "Robin! You followed us! Why?" Chrom asked Robin.
"I… I'm not certain myself. But I'm armed, and I know my way around a fight, if you'll have me." Robin said to Chrom. "Of course, strength in number. Just stay close!" Chrom said to Robin, as the woman that Simon saved came running at them. "Please, you got to help me?" The woman asked Chrom. "Easy what happened?" Chrom asked the woman. "I was being cached by these bandits, when a young man in weird clothes got in between me and the bandits. He told me to run while he held them off." The woman said to Chrom.
"Is this man crazy or brave." Frederick asked the woman. "Whatever he is, he needs help. Where is he?" Chrom said to Frederick, and asked the woman. "He's a few blocks down that way." The woman said to Chrom pointing down the street she came from. "Chrom the bandits are all heading in that same direction." Robin said to Chrom. "Then we don't have a moment to lose." Chrom said as they all started to move.
"Remember, Robin, we face practised thieves and murderers. They will grant us no quarter. It's kill or be killed." Frederick said to Robin. "Right." Robin said as she noticed a bandit coming. Robin then opened her book. "So, Robin, I see you wear a sword. Is it, wait, is that a tome? You know magic?" Chrom asked Robin. "I… Believe so? I suppose I should check." Robin said to Chrom. "You believe so? Perhaps I'll just keep a few paces behind you for the time being." Chrom said to Robin. "No, I can control it, I'm sure. Now, how did this work again? Ah, yes…" Robin said to Chrom as she flipped through her book.
Then Robin noticed a bandit nearby. "Thunder." Robin said as she opened her book and fired a bolt of electricity from hands. This bolt stopped the bandit, but it didn't kill the bandit. "Guess it worked." Robin said to Chrom. "Nice work Robin." Chrom said to Robin before finishing off the bandit. "Lissa where's your weapon?" Robin asked Lissa, as she noticed a staff in Lissa's hands.
"I'm not a fighter. I'm a healer." Lissa said to Robin. "Chrom was right, you are delicate." Robin said to Lissa. "We'll see who's delicate! I may not be able to fight like Chrom, but when you get injured? I'LL be the one stitching your bones back together, care of my trusty staff! Just tell me who needs healing." Lissa said to Robin. "Surely the man that faces all these bandits alone will need that."Frederick said to Lissa. "He's right we got to find him before it's too late." Chrom said to everyone, as they continued to look for Simon, not that they knew it's hom.
"Is anyone hurt? It would be foolish to leave a wound untreated." Chrom said to everyone after they dealt with a few bandits. "Indeed. Timely use of a staff or a vulnerary should prevent the worst." Chrom said to everyone. "Lucky no one is hurt so can we please go help the only person who might be hurt." Lissa said to everyone, as they started to move again.
"Still with us, Robin?" Chrom asked Robin as they got closer to Simon. "Hmm… It's strange. Here on the battlefield, I can… Well, I can "see" things." Robin said to Chrom. "See things? Like what?" Chrom asked Robin. "The enemy's strength, their weaponry, the flow of battle... I must have studied this somewhere." Robin said to Chrom. "So, you're saying you can size up the enemy at a glance?" Chrom asked Robin. "Yes, it would seem so. And perhaps more, if i apply myself…" Robin said to Chrom before getting lost in thought just before they ran into another group of bandits.
"Are you all right, Robin? Don't rush into danger." Chrom said to Robin after they defeated the group of bandits. "I'm fine, Chrom. Don't worry." Robin said to Chrom. "You've lent us your strength, and that makes you a friend. Having an ally by side gives me courage." Chrom said to Robin. "Thank you, but… I think there's more to it than that." Robin said to Chrom. "What do you mean?" Chrom asked Robin. "I believe there's a tactical advantage to fighting side by side. It's fuzzy… Wait, yes: working in pairs improves strength, defence, speed… Yes, yes, I'm sure of it!" Robin said to Chrom.
Then after a few more steps they all stopped. "Where is this guy? Don't tell me where we're too late." Chrom said to everyone as they looked around for Simon. "AAAAH!" A bandits yelled as he was sent flying into the hall next to everyone. "Where did this guy come from?" Robin asked everyone, as she, Chrom, and Frederick looked at the bandit. "And why is he all scratch upped?" Chrom asked everyone. "Could it be the guy we're looking for?" Robin asked everyone. "But that still doesn't explain how he's all searched up." Frederick said to everyone.
"Ah Chrom, you might want to see this." Lissa said to Chrom. Then everyone turned to see Simon with his Steel uniform having a few tears on it, some cuts on his arms, and tired. And surrounding him was Copperajah, Excadrill, Mawile, Perrserker standing around Simon, not as hurt as Simon, but just as tired. "Is that all you got?" Simon asked The Bandit leader. "Ha ha you got, spunk kid, but your monsters will be ours." The bandit leader said to Simon.
"Is that the guy the woman told us about?" Lissa asked everyone, as they all looked at Simon. "Well he's wearing weird clothes." Robin said to Everyone. "But the woman said that he was alone? So where did those creatures come from, and what are those creatures?" Chrom asked everyone. "I don't know what they are, milord. But they look dangerous." Frederick said to Chrom. "I don't think they are." Robin said to everyone, as they all turned to Simon.
"Ok Mawile be a good girl, use Crunch. Perrserker be a bad boy and use Metal Claw. Excadrill shows them the power of the little guy by using Drill Run. And Copperajah let them feel the power of my leading lady by using Heavy Slam." Simon said to his Pokemon.
"Mawile." Mawile said as she opened her ponytail and let the teeth in it grow and become sharper. Then Mawile claimed her ponytail onto the head of one of the bandits. "AAAAH!" the bandit yelled as he dropped his weapon and started to run around trying to get Mawile off his head. "Perrserker." Perrserker said as two dark grey daggers came out from his wrist. Then the dagger turned to bright silver. Perrserker then slashed down on one of the bandits, cutting through the bandits armor and leaving a deep slash on the bandits chest.
"Excadrill." Excadrill said as he lunged forward and into the air and clammed his claws with his horn, and started to spin, clockwise. Excadrill then went through a few of the bandits sending them flying all over the place. Then Copperajah used her trunk to launch herself into the air. "AAAH!" One of the bandits yelled as he ran from Copperajah. But it didn't work. Copperajah landed right on top of the bandit dealing a lot of damage. "Copperajah." Copperajah roared.
"Tell me something kid. Why do you protect this pathetic little Ylissean town?" The bandit leader asked Simon. "It's simple. I can't turn my back on people in need. I may not know what's going on or where I am. But I can't just stand there and do nothing while people cry for help." Simon said to The bandit leader.
Chrom, Lissa, Robin, and Frederick were surprised by his words. "I guess this guy is both crazy and brave." Lissa said to everyone. "Come on we got to help him." Chrom said to everyone, as he took a few steps. "Milord, are you sure. What if he's an enemy." Frederick said to Chrom, making Chrom stop. "Would an enemy defend the people of his enemy." Chrom said to Frederick before he started to run to Simon. "I'm going with you." Robin said to Chrom before going after him. "I'm going too, he needs a healer." Lissa said as she went after Chrom. "I still think this is a bad idea." Frederick said as he went after everyone.
"Well then kid it's time to finish this." The bandit leader said as the other bandits started to move in. "Thunder." Robin said striking one of the bandits. "What the?" Simon said as a confused look appeared on his and his Pokemon faces. Then Chrom slashed through another bendit, at the same time Frederick rammed his spear through another bandit. "Here let me heal you." Lissa said to Simon, as she raised her staff. Then Simon gowled light green for a few seconds, then the light faded and his scratches were gone. "What did you do? Who are you? And who are these people" Simon asked Lissa, whie pointing to Chrom, .
"I'm Lissa, I healed you, and we're the Shepherds." Lissa said to Simon. "The Shepherds?" Simon asked Lissa. "Here, sheepy sheepy! Come to the slaughter!" The bandit leader said to Simon and Lissa. "We can talk later for now let's finish these bandits." Simon said to everyone. "He's right, let's finish this." Chrom said as he charged at the bandit leader. "I won't fall that easy." The bandit leader said before pulling out a funny looking axe.
"What is that?" Simon asked everyone. "Milord, look out." Frederick said as he tried to go to his Chrom's side, but was stopped when a bandit got in Frederick's way. "Out of my way." Frederick said to the bandit, as he launched his spear. At the same time the bandit leader threw his axe. "Chrom." Robin said as she pushed Chrom out of the way of the axe. "Thanks Robin." Chrom said to Robin, as Simon watched the axe returned to its owner.
"So it's a boomerang axe." Simon said to himself. "Mawile." Mawile said, getting Simon's attention. Simon then noticed that Mawile was pointing to a thick piece of wood. Simon then nodded his head, getting what Mawile's idea was. "So who is next to fall?" The bandit Leader asked everyone. "Big talk from a guy who can just throw his weapon." Simon said to the bandit leader. "What did you say to me?" The bandit leader asked Simon. "You heard me, all you do is throw your weapon. I doubt you can hit the broadside of the barn." Simon said to the bandit leader.
"We'll see about that kid." The bandit leader said to Simon as he got ready to throw his axe. "Mawile." Mawile said as she used Iron head to send the piece of wood flying towards Simon, at the same time the bandit tossed his axe. Lucky Simon was able to catch the piece of wood Mawile sent flying, and used it as a shield. Then the bandits leader's axe smashed into the wood, and broke through most of it, but it stuck
after it broke through the wood, but before it hit Simon.
"It worked. I was worried that it won't work." Simon said as he looked at the axe. "Hey my axe." The bandit leader said to Simon. "Sorry it's not your axe any more. And you got bigger problems." Simon said to the bandit leader. "Like what?" The bandit leader asked Simon. "Us!" Chrom said as he and Robin, charged at the bandit leader, with swords in hand, and Robin's book on her side.
"Bwaaargh!" The bandit leader said as Chrom and Robin slashed across his chest finishing the bandit leader. "Curse those monsters." the bandit leader said with his final breath. "Well, that's the end of that." Robin said to everyone. "Lucky for the town we were close by. Bu holy wow, Robin! You were incredible! Sword, sorcery, AND strategy! Is there anything you can't do?" Lissa said to Robin, as she and Frederick made their way to Robin and Chrom. "You're certainly no helpless victim, that much if for sure." Chrom said to Robin.
"Indeed. Perhaps you might even be capable of an explanation for how you came here?" Frederick said to Robin. "I understand your scepticism, Sir Frederick. And I cannot explain why only some knowledge has returned to me. But please, believe me. I have shared all that I know." Robin said to Frederick. "You fought to save Ylissean lives. My heart says that's enough." Chrom said to Robin.
"And your mind, milord? Will you not heed its counsel as well?" Frederick asked Chrom. "Frederick, the Shepherds could use someone with Robin's talents. We've brigands and unruly neighbours, all looking to bloody our soil. Would you really have us lose such an able tactician? Besides, I believe her story, odd as it might be." Chrom said to Fredrick. "Th-thank you, Chrom." Robin said to Chrom. "So how about it? Will you join us, Robin?" Chrom asked Robin. "I would be honoured." Robin said to Chrom. "I hate to ask this milord, but what should we do with the stranger?" Frederick asked Chrom, as they all turned to see Simon pulling the boomerang axe out of the wood with his Pokemon by his side.
"There got it." Simon said as he finally pulled the axe out of the wood. "I can probably get a few meals." Simon said, as he looked at the axe. "Hello." Chrom said as he walked to Simon. "Ah hello." Simon said to Chrom. "I would like to thank you for helping defend this town." Chrom said to Simon. "Don't. I didn't want to get involved." Simon said to Chrom. "And yet you did why?" Chrom asked Simon. "Simple. I heard a cry for help. I may not like it, but what kind of man would I be if I ignored it." Simon said to Chrom.
"A bad person, but you don't seem like a bad person." Chrom said to Simon. "I'm not. But that doesn't mean I'm a good person." Simon said to Chrom. "What are you talking about? You totally saved a woman you didn't know. If that doesn't make you a good guy then I don't know what does?" Lissa said to Simon. "I'm not a good guy or a bad guy. I'm just me." Simon said to Lissa. "And who are you?" Chrom asked Simon.
"I'm Simon." Simon said to Chrom. "And what are those creatures with you Simon. I've never seen anything like them." Chrom said to Simon. "You never seen Pokemon before?" Simon asked Chrom. "Pokemon?" Chrom asked Simon. "You know the powerful, diverse creatures that live everywhere, in the water, the forest, the desert, the sky, even in our cities. Those creatures?" Simon asked Chrom. "Doesn't ring a bell." Chrom said to Simon. Then Simon pinched his nose, as he realised that he was in another world.
"What kind of mess I got myself into." Simon said to himself. "I don't know but we can help." Chrom said to Simon "What!?" Simon said, surprised by Chrom's words. "Milord, are you sure we should help him?" Frederick asked Chrom. "This man protected our people. I think we can count him as a friend." Chrom said to Frederick. "I don't think we should trust him so suddenly." Frederick said to Chrom. "I agree with the guy on the horse. How can you trust me so easily." Simon said to Chrom.
"I don't see why not." Chrom said to Simon. "Well I can see a few reasons not to trust you all." Simon said to Chrom. "And what's that?" Chrom asked Simon. "I gave you my name, but you haven't given me your name, or the names of your friends." Simon said to Chrom. "Easily fixed. I'm Chrom. This is my little sister Lissa. The man on the horse is Fredrick. And the woman is Robin." Chrom said to everyone, pointed to everyone in order of name. "And this is Copperajah, Excadrill, Mawile, and Perrserker. My Pokemon and most trusted allies." Simon said to Chrom, pointing to his Pokemon in order.
"Then may I ask if you and your trusted allies would like to join the Shepherds." Chrom said to Simon. "What!?" Frederick and Simon said at the same time. "Milord. Robin is one thing. But you're asking a man with a very dangerous beast to join us." Frederick said to Chrom. "Fred- whatever his name is, is right. You just asked a stranger who you just met to join, I believe you called it the Shepherds?" Simon said to Chrom.
"He sounds like Frederick." Robin whispered to Lissa. "Hopely he's not another Frederick. One's more than enough." Lisa whispered to Robin. "What was that?" Frederick asked Lissa. "Nothing." Lissa said to Frederick.
"Anyway. Look I appreciate the offer. But I do things my way, with my Pokemon. I don't work with Humans." Simon said to Chrom. "May I ask why?" Chrom asked Simon. "Do you really have to ask why. Look around you. These bandits would prefer to raid and hurt innocent people all because they're greedy. Humans only ever think of themselves. They never think of others, where they are other humans or Pokemon. I've learned that the hard way." Simon said to Chrom. "
I don't know what experience you had in the past. But I can assure you the Shepherds only want to help people. And I think you would be a good addition" Chrom said to Simon. "I still don't know if I should go with you." Simon said to Chrom. "I say you should. After all, I've only known Chrom for a little while and I think he's a good person." Robin said to Simon. "Thanks Robin." Chrom said to Robin. "Look, Robin? You can say all the nice things you can about your boyfriend but that still doesn't change my mind." Simon said to Robin.
"He is not my boyfriend." Robin said to Simon. "Whatever. Now if that's everything I'm going." Simon said to Robin before he started to leave. "Then who needs you I'm sure we can handle these creatures if we run into them." Robin said to Simon, making him stop and turned to Robin. "They're called Pokemon. And some of them are dangerous if you mess with them." Simon said to Robin. "What do you know?" Robin asked Simon with a cocky smile on her face. "I know a lot about Pokemon. I know so much that it will blow your mind." Simon said to Robin.
"Oh really then care to enlighten us?" Robin asked Simon. "I'll be glad to." Simon said to Robin. "Sorry but you have to be a Shepherd to teach us." Robin said to Simon. "Well in that case. Chrom count me in. I'll join the Shepherds." Simon said to Chrom, as he held out a hand. "It's good to have you." Chrom said to Simon as Chrom shocked Simon's hand.
"Good to be apart… of… the… Shepherds…?" Simon said, realizing what he said. "Wait a minute you trick me." Simon said to Robin, as he removed his hand from Chrom's and pointed it at Robin. "I have no idea what you're talking about?" Robin said as she turned away from Simon with both her hand on the back of her head.
"I can't believe I fell for a trick like that." Simon said as he slapped his hand into his face. "But know your part of the Shepherds." Lissa said to Simon. "I suppose it's safer to travel in a group if people like these are around. By the way who are these guys? Are they just some random bandits or part of a large criminal group?" Simon asked everyone. "I don't know." Chrom said to Simon.
"Didn't you notice, milord? The brigands spoke with a Plegian accent." Frederick said to Chrom. "Plegian? What's that?" Robin asked Frederick. "Yeah care to fill in the peanut gallery here?" Simon asked Frederick. "Plegia is Ylisse's westerly neighbour. They send small bands into our territory, hoping to instigate a war." Chrom said to Robin and Simon. "Sounds like a charming country." Simon said, in a sarcastic tune.
"And it's the poor townsfolk who suffer! Totally innocent, and totally helpless…" Lissa said to everyone, as she looked around. "They do have us, milady: Shepherds to protect the sheep." Frederick said to Lissa. "So the sheep of the Shepherds are the people of this land?" Simon asked Frederick. "Do not be swept up in your anger. It will cloud your judgement." Frederick said to Lissa ignoring Simon, making him slap his hand into his face again.
"I know, I know… Don't worry. I'll get used to all this." Lissa said to Frederick. "I don't think that's a good thing." Simon said to Lissa, as a man walked next to them. "Milord , please! You must stay the night! We are simple folk of simple means, but we would gladly toast your valour with a feast!" The man said to Chrom. "A feast." Simon said as he started to drop a little bit. "A most generous offer, sir, and no doubt your hospitality would be grand… But I'm afraid we must hurry back to Ylisstol." Frederick said to the man.
"I want five triple large salads, and a gallon of your sweetest drink." Simon said to the man, obviously he didn't hear Frederick. "And I like Dark meat only for me, medium well, and no salt in the soup. I simply-." Lissa said to the man, before she and Simon realised what Frederick said. "Wait, what?! We're not staying?!" Simon and Lissa said to Frederick. "But I haven't eaten anything for days, or slept in a real bed." Simon said to Frederick. "And it's nearly dark Frederick!" Lissa said to Frederick.
"When night falls, we'll camo. Eat off the land, make our bed of twigs and the like… I believe Lissa mentioned it as "I'll get used to this"?" Frederick said to Lissa and Simon. "Frederick? Sometimes I hate you." Lissa said to Frederick. "I'm with Lissa on this." Simon said to Frederick. "You've quite the stern lieutenant there." Robin said to Lissa and Chrom.
"Yeah, well , "Stern" is one name for it. I can think of a few others!" Lissa said to Robin. "Frederick only smiles when he's about to bring down the axe." Chrom said to Robin. "Duly noted." Robin said to Chrom. "Ahem. You do realise I AM still present?" Frederick said to everyone. "Oh, we realise." Chrom said to Frederick, making everyone laugh a little. "Milord remianis as amusing as ever. Now then, shall we be going?" Frederick said to Chrom.
"All right, all right. Ready to go, Simon, Robin? The capital isn't far." Chrom said to everyone. "Ok let's go." Robin said as everyone started to take a few steps. "Wait!" A female voice said, making everyone stop. Then they turned to see the woman Simon saved running towards them with a basket with fruit in it. "Here. I made you a fruit basket. Consider it a thank you for saying out town." The woman said to everyone as she handed Simon the basket. Then Simon, Copperajah, Excadrill, Mawile, and Perrserker, stared at the fruit basket with wide eyes, and drooling.
"Thank you. But there's no need for you to do it." Frederick said to the woman. "Ignore him, we appreciate the gift. It will be perfect for din-." Lissa said to the woman, but was interrupted by Simon, Copperajah, Excadrill, Mawile, and Perrserker, scarfing down the entire basket.
After a minute Simon, Copperajah, Excadrill, Mawile, and Perrserker, finished all the fruit and toar the basket appart, then all of them burped with smiles on their faces. "Ah now that was a good meal." Simon said, as he noticed everyone looking at them with weird looks on their faces. "What. We haven't eaten anything for days. You all would have done the same." Simon said to everyone, as he pointed to everyone.
"Well there goes dinner." Lissa said to everyone. "We'll find something to eat." Frederick said to Lissa. "It's going to be, bear meat again. I just know it." Lissa said, as everyone started to move. "Wait what?" Simon asked, wondering if he heard Lissa right, with the boomerang axe still in his hands. _
