Here we are at Chapter 38. First to the one who made the kosa comment in the reviews and then said not to worry about it, thanks for that. I was confused about it when I first saw it. Anyway, class is in session, and hopefully no one will get detention or nothing will explode. It's time for more RWBY KEPL Chibi! I do not own RWBY. They belong to roosterteeth. I only own my OCs. Here's chapter 38. Enjoy.
Chapter 38: Cold Lessons
Skit 1: New Teacher
"So, apparently, Professor Peach had some family matters to attend to and will be gone for a few days at least. As such, we'll be getting a substitute teacher to take her place and handle her lessons," Weiss explains.
In one of the classrooms, Teams RWBY, KEPL, and JNPR are all in their seats, waiting for class to begin. With the news that they'd be getting a substitute teacher for a little while, curiosity as to who the teacher would be started to rise.
"Hey, think it might be Uncle Qrow?" Ruby asks.
"Um, I doubt Ozpin would let, even if he did teach at Signal. And Dad is still teaching at Signal, so he's out," Yang replies.
Just then, the classroom door opens up. Everyone turns and all of them take on looks of shock and dismay while Weiss has a look of glee.
"Winter!" Weiss is ecstatic to see her sister again.
"Silence!" Winter commands and everyone freezes as she walks up to the front of the class. "Now then, for the time being I, Winter Schnee, will be your substitute teacher. It will be my job to get you children into shape in both body and mind to prepare you for the outside world as future huntsmen and huntresses. As such, I will work you all to the bone and I will not accept any talk back from any of you. Now, let's begin," she claps her hands.
"Um, have you ever taught a class before-," Lloyd asks before a black glyph shoots him up into the ceiling and then back down.
"That's Professor Schnee to you. Do not speak unless spoken to. Got it!" Winter commands.
…
Outside in the courtyard, Winter has several glyphs out firing a storm of ice shards at the students. Normally, that wouldn't be an issue. However, Winter did add one stipulation to this little training exercise.
"Remember, no semblances, no weapons, and no auras. Work like your life depended on it, because it does!" Winter shouts.
Everyone races around the area, doing whatever they can to stay alive. While some focus on evading the ice shards of death, other take cover behind trees, architecture, each other, whatever they can to survive.
"Weiss, I blame you for this!" Khazhak yells while ducking under one flying ice shard.
"Yeah, this is your fault!" Yang yells while hiding behind a tree.
"My fault?! How is this my fault?!" Weiss retorts as she runs around, ice shards hitting the ground behind her.
"You were the one who asked Winter to come and visit. If you hadn't, then she wouldn't have shown up and become our substitute teacher. And we wouldn't be one icicle away from being skewered to death!" Lloyd argues.
"Did I say you could talk? If you have time to talk, you have time to run! Now move it, maggots!" Winter yells, creating a few more glyphs to fire fireballs now.
"AAAAAHHHHH!" Teams RWBY, KEPL, and JNPR scream as they try to not die.
…
After the lesson of Hell by Winter is over, everyone is still alive... mostly. Jaune and Blake look traumatized. Ruby is passed out beside Edom. Ren has his head stuck in a trashcan while Pyrrha is shaking under a bench that has holes in it. Lloyd dug a makeshift grave for himself. Porphyrius is stuck in a tree. Weiss is pinned to a wall by one ice shard that hit her bolero jacket. Nora is laughing faintly as she tries to recover her sanity (if she ever had one) while one the ground. And Khazhak is slowly, painfully crawling on the ground.
"Well, you all survived. I must admit that I am impressed. Well, it appears class is over for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings and prepare for tomorrow's lesson. I'll be adding summons into the mix to add to the danger level pf the lesson. Good day now," Winter walks off.
Khazhak glares at her retreating back, "Oh, she is gonna pay," he falls back down while the others just groan in pain and agony.
Skit 2: Love Advice
At a café in Vale, Khazhak and Voshkie'ahk are having a couple of drinks and snacks with Saphron and Terracotta.
"So, you two have been married for a while now, correct?" Voshkie'ahk asks.
"Yep. It's been quite some time. When I first met Terra, it was practically love at first sight. It took a little while, but I whittled her down," Saphron says, lightly nudging Terracotta's arm.
"Come on, I wasn't that bad," Terracotta retorts.
"But yeah, things just fell into place shortly after that. And I'm glad they did," Saphron says.
"Yes, that's what I wanted to talk to you about. I've been dating Yukari for a while now. Now, I'm not saying that I'm planning on proposing to her just yet, but I wanted some advice from two women who have been together for a long time," Voshkie'ahk says.
"And I'm here to make sure Yukari isn't listening in and to make sure Voshkie gets good advice. I can barely trust that hussy whenever my sister is concerned," Khazhak says.
Voshkie'ahk sighs, "I told you I can handle this myself, Khazzy. Besides, while Yukari can be intense at times, she means well and would never want to hurt me,"
"That's a matter of opinion," Khazhak retorts, crossing his arms.
"So, as I was saying, was there any time when one proved to be a bit intense for the other? What did you guys do? I don't mean to intrude. I just want some advice on how to better handle Yukari at times," Voshkie'ahk asks.
"Hmm, well that's a tough one. There were times when Terracotta could be a bit of a workaholic," Saphron recollects.
"I was busy at times, okay!" Terracotta exclaims.
"So, I had to help her learn how to relax at times. Now, I'm not saying that's what you need to do here. But, once you know exactly how your significant other thinks and acts, it'll make things easier when it comes to finding common ground and laying some lines down between you. Your girlfriend at times wants to put you in rather... bold situations, correct?" Saphron asks.
At the mention of 'bold' Khazhak crushes the teacup he was holding.
"Heh-heh, something like that," Voshkie'ahk scratches her cheek.
"Being away from each other due to work can cause that. What you need to do is find ways to help calm her more... intense tendencies. Set some ground rules," Saphron says.
"You need to tell her when it's okay and when it's not. Give her limits," Terracotta adds.
"Right, and if that's not enough, something that keeps her occupied and help her while you're away on missions. Yukari like to design clothes, right?"
"Yeah, that's her profession," Voshkie'ahk replies.
"And she designed your combat outfits. Maybe try on some of her designs and send her pictures. She can keep those as in a photo album or something. This way, she'll always have you nearby when she's thinking of you," Terracotta suggests.
"Would that really work?" Voshkie'ahk asks.
"I believe it would at least be a start. Provided she doesn't make you wear anything that would make you uncomfortable," Saphron says.
At the mention of that, the siblings remember when Yukari had Voshkie'ahk try on a fox priestess outfit. And the chaos that happened afterwards.
"I'LL KILL HER!" Khazhak shouts as he runs off to find and slaughter Yukari.
"Khazhak, wait! Don't kill Yukari! I love her!" Voshkie'ahk chases after her.
"Yeah, I'm not sure that was the best advice to give them. Khazhak's about as overprotective as they come," Terracotta notes.
"Probably. Come on, let's go pick up Adrian from daycare," Saphron says nonchalantly before they leave to pick up their son.
Skit 3: Babysitting
"So, how exactly did you get stuck in this situation again?" Lloyd asks.
In the school lounge area for students, Lloyd finds Jaune babysitting his nephew, Adrian. The blonde is currently rocking him to get him to sleep.
"Well, Saphron and Terracotta wanted to have a chance to do a little date night with just the two of them, and I agreed to watch over Adrian for the evening. That, and I owed my sister for helping me on that one thing that... that we don't need to talk about," Jaune says, glancing away at the last part.
Lloyd cocks an eyebrow, "Do you even know how to babysit a toddler?"
"Do you?" Jaune retorts as he lays Adrian down to sleep.
"Well-hey, don't avoid the question by asking another question!" Lloyd argues.
"Ssshh, Adrian just fell asleep. Be quiet," Jaune shushes him. The pair lean over the crib, watching the little boy sleep. "Ah, isn't he just cute when he's asleep?"
"Well, at least he's not crying or vomiting, or that other thing," Lloyd deadpans.
"Well, hopefully he should be asleep for a while, so we can relax as long as nothing wakes him up," Jaune says.
Lloyd glares at him, "You idiot. You just HAD to say it,"
Not even three seconds later, Blake suddenly slams the door open, running like her life depended on it. Well, when it comes to Blake and getting as far away as possible from Zwei, it probably does. The little corgi runs inside, chasing her while barking. Right behind them is Ruby.
"Zwei, if I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times, Blake is not a chew toy!" Ruby yells.
All the noise and chaos is enough to wake up Adrian and he starts crying. The two girls and the dog run around, with Blake jumping off Lloyd's face, followed by Zwei and then Ruby doing the same thing, eventually knocking him to the ground.
"No, no, no, no! It's okay, Adrian! Here, Uncle Jaune is here!" Jaune starts rocking Adrian again to try and get him back to sleep.
Lloyd groans, "I told you so,"
"Oh no, how do I get him to go back to sleep. What do I do?" Jaune is starting to get worried.
Lloyd sighs, "In times like this, we need an expert,"
…
Later, Adrian is back asleep in his crib. Jaune and Lloyd, who look like they just went through the Initiation Exam all over again, sigh with relief as they watch Taiyang step back.
"There, he should be fine now," Taiyang wipes his hands.
"How'd you get so good at this, Taiyang?" Jaune asks.
"Uh, hello? I raised two daughters. I've learned a thing or two about babies, thank you very much," Taiyang replies.
"Huh, I guess being a single dad has its advantages after all. Maybe you're not so uncool after all," Lloyd notes.
"Hey, I'm a very cool single dad, thank you. Who do you think taught Yang and Ruby about responsibility, or about doing the right thing," Taiyang retorts.
"Didn't they burn down a nightclub one time?" Jaune mutters.
"And didn't they accidently rob a bank another time with Weiss and Blake too?" Lloyd recollects.
"Those were complete accidents, and their uncle is to blame for that. He is such a bad influence, that dusty old Qrow," Taiyang says.
"Okay... so what do you do when you need to change a baby's diaper?" Jaune asks.
Taiyang glances away, "Uh... that was Summer's job, actually. I'm not really sure about that,"
And just like that, their hopes come crashing down. It's made more apparent when Adrian suddenly farts, and they groan.
And that's the chapter. Hopefully, Jaune will be able to take good care of his nephew before Saphron finds out... maybe. Anyway, who knows what hijinks will happen next. Until then, please Read and Review.
