Here we are at Chapter 46. Let's have a little more fun. It's time for more RWBY KEPL Chibi! I do not own RWBY. They belong to roosterteeth. I only own my OCs. Here's chapter 46. Enjoy.
Chapter 46: Combat Complications
Skit 1: Heavyweight
In the Beacon cafeteria, Teams RWBY, KEPL, and JNPR are having their lunch together at their usual table. A nice little break in between classes. While some were enjoying their meals calmly, others were reading or studying, and then a few others were scarfing down their food like they haven't had anything to eat or drink in weeks. However, there was one person at this table that was in a foul mood right now.
"Nora... are you okay?" Pyrrha asks tentatively.
"Not really, Pyrrha," Nora groans, having barely touched her plate which is a first.
"What's got you bent out of shape this time?" Khazhak asks.
"Our next class is Professor Goodwitch's combat training course," Nora answers.
"How's that a bad thing? We get to fight and beat each other up half to death. It's the best class in the whole school. If only the teacher wasn't always a stick in the mud," Yang notes.
"You'd better hope Professor Goodwitch doesn't find our you said that," Weiss notes.
"That still doesn't answer what has Nora in a bad mood. What's up, Nora?" Ruby asks.
"It's because I think Professor Goodwitch has it out for me. For the past few classes, she's been having me go up against members of Team KEPL and I've lost every single match. I lost to Khazhak because he didn't use his semblance, Lloyd because he did use his, and even Edom beat me," Nora complains, resting her head on the table.
"Hey, I don't think it's that crazy. These matchups are randomized. You've just been having a round of bad luck. Besides, you can't honestly expect to beat my comrades, did you?" Khazhak asks.
"That doesn't make me feel any better!" Nora yells.
"Well, would it make you feel better to have a rematch against me? Give you a chance to even the score with me at least," Edom offers.
"No! Never again! You used that fear semblance of yours and I started having hallucinations of Ren making pancakes for everyone EXCEPT me! Please, don't torture me again!" Nora's close to crying now.
"Okay, but that doesn't answer why you think Glynda has it out for you. She's strict with everyone. Hell, she's even strict with the teachers and I heard she even makes sure Ozpin doesn't have too much coffee on a daily basis to monitor his health," Jaune says.
"You'll be fine, Nora. Besides, I always make sure to save some pancakes for you, knowing your appetite," Ren attempts to soothe her.
"Okay, but what if I do end up against one of your teammates again?" Nora asks Khazhak.
"Then good luck to you... and hope you don't die from it," Khazhak shrugs his shoulders.
"Khazhak, you're not helping," Ruby elbows him in the ribs.
"Good," Khazhak smirks.
"Well, you can't run from this, so you might as well deal with it. Not unless you want a failing grade," Weiss says.
"Of course, you would be focused only grades, Ice Queen," Porphyrius rolls his eye.
"Hey!" Weiss retorts.
"Come on, lunch is almost over. Let's finish up and get this over with," Khazhak says.
…
Later on, in Professor Goodwitch's class, Nora's fears come true as Glynda pits her against another member of Team KEPL. Porphyrius Darkwing. The pair stand face-to-face in the arena, weapons ready.
"Sorry, Porphyrius, but I can't lose this one. I'm gonna smash your face in!" Nora twirls her hammer around, while Porphyrius stares on, uninterested.
"And... begin!" Goodwitch calls out.
Nora runs at Porphyrius, but he aims his left rifle and fires off a few gravity shots. The shots hit Nora's hammer and the added weight forces it to the ground, stopping her in place. She tries to pick it up, but it's no use. She turns back to Porphyrius, who aims his rifles... and fires. And thus, it was Nora's fourth loss against a member of Team KEPL. Of course, this setup had nothing to do with Glynda setting Nora up because she dropped a jar of syrup on her head one time during lunch. Nah, nothing like that.
Skit 2: Fight Cold with Grumpy
To say that students in Beacon were relieved would be an understatement. They were practically getting down on their knees, hands clasped in front of them, and praying to the gods for this boon they have gifted them. That boon being that Winter's days as a substitute teacher were finally coming to an end. She would be heading back to Atlas now that her duties were done in Vale for the time being. With the exception of a certain Ice Queen (Hey!), everyone is glad to see her and her drill Seargent from Hell ways leaving with her. Of course, that did still leave one clear problem: they still have one more class with Winter before she goes.
"So, anyone else want to bet who dies first in Winter's last class at Beacon?" Lloyd jokes, though he's not smiling.
"My money's on Ruby this time. Jaune surprised me before, I don't want to lose anymore lien," Edom says.
"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?! I bet I can last way longer than Weiss!" Ruby retorts.
"Hey, don't bring me into your gambling problems. And for the record, I can last longer than all of you." Weiss scoffs.
"You were the third one to pass out in her last class, just after Jaune and Ren," Khazhak notes, making Weiss groan.
Blake sighs, "Let's just get this over with already. As long as we don't all die, then we can finally have some semblance of peace here,"
"When has Beacon ever been peaceful?" Ren asks.
"Good point," Blake replies.
…
In Winter's class, everyone is lined up with empty looks in their eyes. Almost like they've resigned themselves to a terrible and painful demise.
Winter walks in front of them, "Alright, you insignificant worms, I'm sure you're all aware that this will be my last class at Beacon. Perhaps some of you ae even glad at the thought. However! I will make sure you are all proper future huntsmen and huntresses before I leave these school grounds, and I intend to make you bleed for it. Now then, I have created a new series of tests and trials in the Emerald Forest for you all to complete. If even one of you fails, then I'll make you all repeat the whole course until everyone either passes or dies. Is that clear?!"
"No!" a sudden voice rings out.
"Huh? Who said that?!" Winter glares.
"Winter!" that voice calls out again and everyone looks to see Klein stride in, eyes burning red.
"Klein?! What are you doing here? I'm in the middle of teaching a class," Winter says.
"That's precisely why I'm here, young missy. I know who you've been putting these precious students, all Weiss' friends I might add, through the wringer to such an extent that the medical staff as an office right outside this classroom. I even came to learn that Weiss became a regular there because of YOUR class! I know I raised you better than to be a crazy drill Seargent. What is the meaning of this?!" Grumpy Klein demands.
"W-Why are you questioning me? I'm only trying to get these students into tip-top shape. We need the best soldiers we can find after all," Winter tries to defend herself.
"We're not in Atlas, young lady. However, just because we're not in Atlas, that don't mean you can get off from me giving you another lesson. Remember, I raised you since you were barely out of your diapers," Klein argues, making Team KEPL snicker.
"Klein, these kids don't need to know that!" now Winter is embarrassed.
"Ah-ah, no lip from you, young lady. Now come on, it's time for a little reeducation of my own for you," Klein grabs Winter by the ear and starts pulling her along.
"Please, anything but the bitter red stuff! Anything but that!" Winter cries as she's dragged out of the classroom while everyone just watches.
"...So, I guess class is over now," Khazhak says.
"Yay!" everyone cheers now that they're free from Winter's Hellish lessons.
Skit 3: Payback at the Plate
The weather is just right today. The sky is clear, the clouds are calm, and the birds are jumping. Nothing could break this tranquil setting... except...
"LET'S PLAY BALL!" A sudden shout from Nora breaks the peaceful atmosphere.
Out in the Emerald Forest, the gang is all out on the makeshift baseball field they play on once before. The teams are the same as before as well. Apparently, Nora couldn't stand the loss her team suffered last time and wanted a rematch. The others only agreed to a new game only so Nora would stop pestering them and screaming in their ears. The game had gone off from a crazy start, right from the first pitch. The reason being because Nora decided to be the pitcher for her team since she wasn't last time. Khazhak's team didn't think much of it until Nora started throwing fast balls aimed not at the catcher (the catcher being Pyrrha after Jaune was knocked unconscious by Nora' pitch), but at the batters' heads. They realized that Nora was playing for keeps, and they needed to as well. The game continued on, and they reached the 9th inning. Both teams were tied at 3 runs each, and Khazhak's team was up to bat. A few members of his team, those being Weiss, Edom, and Blake, got injured due to Nora's murder throws.
"Alright, bring out the next victim. I want to see some blood on this diamond before I win this game!" Nora yells, a crazy looks in her eye.
Ren leans in, "Uh, you mean before our TEAM wins, right Nora?"
"Yes, that's exactly what I said. Now, hurry up and bring out your next victim!" Nora yells while tossing up a baseball in her hand.
Khazhak's team has two outs and Porphyrius is on third base, ready to go for the gold and win the game. Up next to bat is Khazhak. Nora gets a hungry look in her eye. Though she hit his pitch and socked him right in the eye with it, it still got her out and cost her team the game. Such humiliation must not go unpunished.
"Khazhak, this won't end like last time," Nora says.
"If you're talking about how you hit me in the eye with a baseball, then you're right. That won't happen again. But, if you're referring to how my team kicked your team's butt; well... You know what they say about history repeating itself," Khazhak replies, readying his bat to swing.
"I'm gonna strike you out so bad, you're gonna wish you stayed unconscious from the last game," Nora threatens him.
"Enough with the trash talk, let's get to it!" Khazhak yells, narrowing his eyes.
Nora will throw the fastest fat ball she can muster. She winds up her pitch. Khazhak grips his bat tightly. In slow motion, Nora throws her pitch, but Khazhak charges up his bat with his lightning semblance and makes his swing. He hit the ball so hard that it goes flying right through Nora's outstretched glove, flies back and hits a tree, then bounces off it and flies right back to hit Nora in the back of the head and smash her face into the dirt. By the time everyone else returned to their senses, Khazhak had already made it to first base and Porphyrius had made it to home plate. Thus, Khazhak's team had won the baseball game once again.
"And thus, history repeats once again. Good game, Nora. I'm always up for another round when you are... Well, after you heal up in the school infirmary," Khazhak says as he and his team walk by Nora.
Nora glances up, "That no-good walking lightning rod," she groans before passing out again.
And that's the chapter. For the one who requested the Ruby Halloween birthday skit, I'm saving that for her actual birthday so it'll feel more special. Just be patient. Until then, please Read and Review.
