Yuri sat on his bed looking up at the ceiling expectantly, his violin in his hands. It was currently 1:59PM. Every day, at exactly 2PM, his upstairs neighbor rickrolled their neighbors with a variety of different musical instruments, before playing other songs. Yuri wondered if they were actually playing all those instruments themself, or if they were playing the music on a player. Well, today Yuri planned to join in. He glanced over at the clock on his nightstand.
The clock changed to 2PM.
Right on cue, the upstairs neighbor began playing Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley. Today's instrument was apparently the flute. Yuri let the neighbor play alone until the chorus, before joining in on his violin.
Suddenly, Yuri heard his next-door neighbor yell through the wall, "OH COME ON! NOT YOU TOO!" At the same time, he could hear the upstairs neighbor stop playing their flute to laugh. The faint sound of someone in the apartment above Yuri's next-door neighbor could be heard next, "Did you really join in?"
The upstairs neighbor continued laughing for a bit while Yuri went on playing his violin, before calming down enough to rejoin with their flute. The cabbage-haired young man had to admit that it was actually pretty fun. It had been a while since he'd played his violin with someone else. It was… nice. Really nice.
