Episode 8: Clefairy and the Moon Stone
(Insert "I Choose You" from Pokémon)
Last time, Ash, Pikachu and Mary Melody faced their toughest challenge yet, matches against a Pokémon Gym Leader. Mary went first, then Ash. Both Trainers won Boulder Badges, their first step toward competing in the Pokémon League Championships. They also reunited with Shirley the Loon, who proves to be a great teacher in Pokémon Training to Ash. Mary breaks off from the group for now to find more of her missing friends. Joined by the Gym Leader Brock, Ash and his friends continued their journey. But as they left Pewter City, little did they suspect that their next adventure would be out of this world!
(End Music)
Elsewhere, Mary Melody, Hamton J. Pig and Fowlmouth had already finished exploring Mt. Moon and were on their way to Cerulean City. They arrived to a part of the road that was divided. And there was sign there too. "I've been making good progress. I got two new Pokémon; a Clefairy and a Sandshrew. Plus, that Seymour guy was generous enough to lend me a Helix fossil, which can be revived into the Pokémon it belonged to once we get to the cloning lab at Cinnabar Island," said Mary. Just then, they saw the sign.
"Judging by that sign, we're going the right way," said Fowlmouth.
"Hey, what's that below it?" asked Hamton.
"Some people like to write messages on sign," said Mary. She saw the message, but what it read didn't make her happy. It said "Gary was here. Ash and Mary are losers."
"That Gary. He's always judging us when he doesn't even know our capabilities," said Mary.
"He doesn't sound like a nice guy," said Hamton.
"He doesn't," said Mary.
"Oh yeah. I got a little something for that bleep," said Fowlmouth. He grinned as he got out a red pen and began to alter the message. After writing the new message, he chuckled.
"There. Now Gary will be on the receiving end of the insult. And when people see this, they'll address Gary as the person he really is," sniggered Fowlmouth.
"Oh Fowlmouth," said Mary. And the three resumed their journey to Cerulean City.
Ash and his friends hiked toward Mt. Moon to catch up with Mary Melody. Many strange and astonishing tales have been told about this mysterious place. And the group is about to discover that all of them are true. As they were walking, Pikachu was sleeping on top of Ash's backpack. At this point, Brock had already been told about why the toons were here. "Mt. Moon. Doesn't the name sound romantic?" asked Misty.
"People say that a huge meteor crashed into the mountain back in prehistoric times," said Brock.
"A meteor," said Ash.
"Yeah. Like the one that crashed into Mexico and wiped out the dinosaurs back at home," said Buster.
"Is it really true?" asked Misty.
"The meteor's called the Moon Stone," said Brock.
"Now that's romantic," said Misty.
"Oui," said Fifi.
(Insert "Raid" from Pokémon)
Just then, everybody heard a scream, which woke up Pikachu. "Pi?" asked Pikachu.
"Look, over there!" said Ash. Ash and the group began to run toward the source of the scream. They saw a flock of a small, blue bat-like Pokémon attacking a man. They had two long, skinny legs. Their faces lacked any eyes and a nose. The insides of the Pokémon's ears and undersides of its wings were purple. The bats' wings are supported by elongated 'fingers', and four teeth can be discerned from inside its mouth, two on the lower jaw and two on the upper. Males had longer fangs than females. "That's a bunch of Zubat" said Ash.
"They're attacking that guy!" said Misty.
"Dexter, analyze," said Ash. Ash took out his Pokédex to get data on them.
"Zubat, blind Pokémon with supersonic powers. Zubat live in caves and hate to fly outside in daylight," said the Pokédex.
"Not these Zubat," said Ash.
"This is no time for jokes, this guy needs our help," said Shirley.
"You're right. I'm sorry. Pikachu, Thundershock!," said Ash. Pikachu's cheeks began to spark with electrical power. "Ehh?" asked the man. Pikachu jumped off Ash's head and fired electricity at the Zubat.
"Pikachuuuuuuuuuu!" said Pikachu. He zapped the entire flock of Zubat. The Zubat shrieked and began to flee back into the cave.
(End Music)
The man sighed with relief. Ash then went up to the man. "Are you okay?" asked Ash. He got a closer look at the guy. He had brown hair, wore glasses and wore the clothes of a scientist, lab coat and all. Then, he got up and began to hug Ash.
"Wow! You guys are the greatest!" said the man.
"Really, it was nothing," said Ash in a muffled voice.
"The best rescue I ever had!" said the man. Unfortunately, Pikachu was getting squished in between Ash and the man. Suddenly, he let off a jolt of electricity that zapped both Ash and the man.
"Le ouch," said Fifi. The man fell to the ground, but got back up.
(Insert "Pikachu Appears" from Pokémon)
"They say man's best friend is a Pokémon. And with you two, I believe it," said the man.
"Oh, that's nice," said Ash.
"I'm so moved. Such friendship I thought I'd never see when the Zubat began attacking me. I thought I was done for when who should arrive. Thanks to my hero, I'm alive! I'M ALIVE! Thank you so much! Thank you!" said the man.
"He certainly doesn't look like the poetic type," said Misty.
"Did I mention how grateful I am," said the man.
"Yeah. Anyway, why were the Zubat attacking you, Mister?" asked Ash. The man gasped.
"Never call me Mister! My name's Seymour, Seymour the Scientist of the Pewter City Museum! Knowledge, research, I am Seymour the Scientist!" said the man.
(End Music)
"By ze way, deed a girl named Mary Melody come by here by any chance?" asked Fifi.
"She did, yesterday. She mentioned about trying to find some missing friends who are talking animals who aren't Pokémon. I even gave her a Pokémon fossil to her. Are you more of her friends?" asked Seymour.
"We are. She was traveling with us before she decide to venture ahead of us," said Shirley.
"We're going to meet up with her in Cerulean City," said Buster.
It was long before everybody began to venture into the cave. "See, the cave is all lit up inside. Somebody strung these lights through the whole cave. But the Pokémon in this cave need the dark. These lights are upsetting them and making them confused," said Seymour.
"Which is probably why the Zubat left the cave and attacked you," said Brock.
"Look here, these Paras are planting their mushrooms everywhere. And the hot lights are drying up these Sandshrew," said Seymour.
"Pi," said Pikachu. Ash felt sorry for the Sandshrew and was overcome with compassion. He got out a water bottle and carefully approached the Sandshrew.
"Hey, little guy. I'm not gonna hurt you," said Ash. He removed the cap from the bottle. "Want some water?" asked Ash. The Sandshrew slowly got up a bit. Ash offered up the bottle to it. The yellow Ground-type Pokémon grabbed the bottle and began to guzzle up the water.
"You're so compassionate, Ash, even toward Wild Pokémon," said Fifi.
"I couldn't let the poor little guy dehydrate to death," said Ash.
"One thing we can also do, is take out these lights," said Shirley. She used her psychic powers to short out the lights, one by one as they ventured further into the cave. "
That's why I'm here. On patrol against the troublemakers that attack these caves," said Seymour.
"Troublemakers?" asked Buster.
"Why attack a cave?" asked Misty.
(Insert "The Moon Stone" from Pokémon)
"I'm afraid it's because of the Moon Stone," said Seymour.
"The Moon Stone?" asked Shirley. "Exactly. The Moon Stone is an awesome boulder. A million years old or even older. Deep in these caves, the meteor hides. No explorer has found the place of the legendary rock from space. We've studied its fragments for many an hour and discovered it increases a Pokémon's power. And that is why the attackers are here. They've come to take the Moon Stone or so I fear. Ever since I was a little boy, I believed the Pokémon came to Earth on Outer Space," said Seymour.
"From Outer Space?" asked Ash & Co.
"Yes. And you ask where is the spacecraft that brought them to Earth? In this cave, it's the Moon Stone," said Seymour.
"It sure is an original theory," said Misty.
"But don't you see? It means the Moon Stone belongs to the Pokémon. We humans must not take it from them," said Seymour. He turned to Ash.
"You agree with me, don't you," said Seymour. Ash nodded.
(End Music)
Just then, a peculiar Pokemon passed by the group. It was a pink Pokémon with three fingers, ears with brown tips, a small fang in it's mouth, a curl on it's forehead and small wings on its back. It was carrying a Moon Stone shard. "Clefairy," said the Pokemon.
"That looks like a . . . Clefairy," said Brock.
"It's so cute," said Misty. Ash took out his Pokédex.
"Clefairy. This impish Pokémon is friendly and peaceful. It is believed to live inside Mt. Moon, although very few have ever been seen by humans," said the Pokédex.
"Oh, I gotta catch it! Then I'll have a dragon buster on my side!" said Ash, taking out an empty Pokéball.
"You can't!" said Seymour, grabbing Ash's arm.
"Huh?" asked Ash.
"Sorry. Its best that you let it stay here. I hope you understand," said Seymour.
"Sure, Seymour. I understand," said Ash. Just then, they heard the Clefairy scream.
"Huh?" asked Ash & the group.
"Sounds like the Clefairy's in trouble," said Buster. Bookworm nodded. They began to run to where Clefairy was at. Clefairy was confronted by Meowth.
"Don't be scared of Meowth," said Meowth. Ash and his friends arrived to the area and spotted Meowth.
"It's Meowth!" cried Ash.
"Meowth! What are you doing here?" asked Meowth.
"Looking for troublemakers like you," said Ash. Pikachu then went to the Clefairy.
"Pika," said Pikachu.
"Clefairy," said Clefairy.
"So, Team Rocket ees causing all ze trouble around here," said Fifi.
"What a surprise," said Shirley sarcastically.
"We gotta stop them before they start any more trouble," said Brock.
"Trouble?" asked Jessie.
"Make that double," said James.
(Insert "Team Rocket Motto, Kanto-Johto Version" from Pokémon)
Jessie and James appeared from the shadows. Jessie carried a shovel, while James carried a pick axe. "To protect the world from devastation," said Jessie.
"To unite all people within our nation!" said James.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love," said Jessie.
"To extend our reach to the stars above," said James.
"Jessie," said Jessie.
"James," said James.
"Team Rocket, blasting off at the speed of light!" said Jessie.
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!" said James.
"Meowth, that's right!" said Meowth.
(End Music)
"They sure are show offs," said Seymour.
"Don't you guys get tired of saying the same things over and over?" asked Ash.
"You're just jealous, boy," said Jessie.
"Because we won't let you join us," said James.
"I'd never join up with you!" said Ash.
"You put the lights in this cave! It's your fault that the Pokémon who live here are so confused!" said Brock.
"What a shame," said Jessie sarcastically.
"How will we ever forgive ourselves?" asked James mockingly.
"We wanna get our hands on the Moon Stone so we can power up our Pokémon with it," said Meowth.
"With the Moon Stone in our hands, nothing will stop us!" said Jessie.
"We won't let you get away with it!" said Ash.
"Besides, I started turning off the lights in the cave. So no way you'll find it now," said Shirley.
"What?!" asked Team Rocket.
"You wanna rock?! Take one of these and get lost!" said Buster.
"Get lost? How rude!" said Jessie.
"Let's teach him manners," said James. Jessie and James threw aside their digging tools. Ash and Brock took out Poké Balls.
"Misty, Shirley, Bookworm, keep an eye on Seymour and Clefairy. Make a run for it when you get the chance," said Ash.
"Right," said Misty.
"Like, sure," said Shirley.
"Abra," said Abra.
(End Music)
(Insert "Kanto Wild Pokémon Battle" from Pokémon)
Team Rocket got their Pokéballs ready. "Ready or not!" said Jessie & James as they threw the Pokéballs containing Ekans and Koffing.
"Ekans!" said Jessie.
"Koffing!" said James.
"Butterfree, I choose you!" said Ash, throwing Butterfree's Pokéball.
"Here we go!" said Brock, throwing a Pokéball. Ekans and Koffing emerged from their Pokéballs. Butterfree emerged from his. What came out of Brock's Pokéball was a Zubat.
"A Zubat!" said Ash.
"I captured it just before we entered the cave," said Brock.
"Aw, I should have caught one," said Ash.
"Don't be sad. Zere are other Pokémon out zere," said Fifi.
"Koffing, Smog Attack!" said James.
"Koffing!" said Koffing as he began to billow smog from it's pores.
"Butterfree, Whirlwind!" said Ash.
"Zubat, Double Team now!" said Brock. Butterfree blew the smog, right at Team Rocket with his wings.
"What's this?" asked James.
"Not bad!" said Ash.
"Now's our chance!" said Misty. Misty and the others then fled. Ekans charged and bit at Butterfree.
"Butterfree!" cried Ash. Koffing tackled Zubat.
"Zubat, hang on!" said Brock. Meowth began to sneak past the heroes. "Go, Supersonic!" said Brock. Then, Zubat began to emit supersonic waves from it's mouth, right at Koffing and Ekans.
"Koffing?" asked Koffing.
"Ekans?" asked Ekans.
"Oh no!" cried James. The, Koffing and Ekans began to fight each other. The Supersonic attack confused the two Pokemon.
"Ekans, Koffing," said Jessie.
"What's the matter with you, weaklings?" asked James.
"What's happening?" asked Buster.
"Ekans and Koffing are getting confused," said Brock.
"I see. So confused that they can't tell friend from foe," said Buster.
"Oui," said Fifi.
"Butterfree, Whirlwind now! Blow them all the way out of the cave!" said Ash. Butterfree began to flap it's wings real fast, creating a strong wind.
"Look's like Team Rocket's blasting off!" cried James.
"You may have won this round, but we'll be back!" cried Jessie. And Jessie, James, Ekans and Koffing were blown away.
"Au revoir," said Fifi.
"We did it! Yeah!" said Ash. And Ash and Brock banged their elbows together.
"Excellent teamwork!" said Brock.
(End Music)
"Hey, wait a second. Aren't we forgetting something?" asked Ash.
"Yeah. Something's missing," said Brock.
"Where's Meowth?!" asked Ash and Brock.
"Zat slimy cat must've slipped past us while we were fighting," said Fifi. Misty, Shirley and Seymour followed the Clefairy out of the cave.
"Oh no! Clefairy's running away!" cried Misty.
(Insert "A Huge Free-for-All" from Pokémon)
Clefairy hopped up a mountain ledge as Shirley and the others followed it by climbing. "Clefairy, come back!" said Seymour.
"Don't hop too far away," said Shirley. As Clefairy was hopping, suddenly, Meowth stood in front of it.
"Meowth's got you now!" said Meowth. Then, they heard Clefairy's voice.
"Clefairy!" said Shirley. Clefairy jumped off a stone bridge and toward Shirley and the others.
"Clefairy!" cried Clefairy. Then, she fell on Misty and she along with everybody else fell into the water below. Meowth landed on a nearby rock.
"Alright, give Meowth that Moon Stone!" said Meowth. Meowth showed his claws.
"Meowth, I'm sure we can be reasonable about this," said Seymour.
"No! We can't," said Meowth. He charged at Clefairy. But Abra got close to Clefairy and teleported themselves out of Meowth's path. Meowth hit the water instead with a splash.
"Over here, you fleabag," said Abra.
"Hey! No fair!" said Meowth.
"Not so fast, Meowth!" said Misty, taking out a Pokéball. She threw it into the water and a Pokémon came out of it. It was a Pokémon with a pliable, golden-brown star-shaped Pokémon. Between its five appendages, at the very center of its body, was an exterior organ called the core, which was held in place by a gold piece. The core resembled a red jewel and functions similarly to a madreporite. Lopped around its left leg is a golden ring that seems to hold the core in place. "Staryu, Swift Attack!" said Misty. Staryu began to fire yellow energy stars at Meowth.
"Meow, meow, meow!" cried Meowth as he got hit.
"Water Gun, Staryu!" said Misty. Staryu began to fire water from the tip of it's top appendage. The water went into Meowth's mouth. The cat Pokémon gurgled helpless as the water began to inflate him like a water balloon. Once Meowth was inflated at a maximum capacity, Staryu stopped firing water. All the water began to gush out of Meowth's mouth and he gurgled as he was sent flying into the distance like a leaky water balloon. "Bye Meowth. Have a nice drip," said Misty, waving.
"Clefairy," said Clefairy in amazement.
"Staryu, return," said Misty. She returned her Staryu into it's Pokéball.
(End Music)
Ash and others arrived. Ash turned to Misty, Seymour and Clefairy. "Is everybody all right?" asked Ash.
"We won't be bothered by Meowth anymore, thanks to Misty the Mighty," said Misty. Sweetie had seen Meowth's humiliation and was laughing her head off.
"Da putty tats were always good for a laugh! If I keep trailing Team Rocket, I'm bound to see dat Meowth get humiliated almost every single time they try to steal from dose kids," said Sweetie. And she resumed laughing.
The sun was now setting at Mt. Moon. Brock was feeding his Zubat some sort of Pokémon food. "What's that?" asked Ash.
"This is Pokémon food made from my own secret recipe. The ingredients are specially blended for each Pokémon," said Brock. Ash's Butterfree was out of their Pokéballs currently. Ash offered a piece of Butterfree. The bug Pokémon began to eat it. It liked the taste of it.
"How's it taste?" asked Ash.
"I've been developing it for years. I keep improving on the recipe. I'll make a batch for Pikachu and the other Pokémon," said Brock.
"I'll try some," said Seymour. He grabbed a piece and ate it.
"Not bad," said Seymour.
"Really?" asked Ash. Fifi looked at a small piece of Pokémon food.
"Hmm. Eet kind of looks like pet food like kibbles for dogs back at home," said Fifi. Pikachu was busying talking to Clefairy.
"Pikachu makes friends so easily. I wonder what they're talking about?" said Ash.
"Pika pi," said Ash.
"Clefairy," said Clefairy.
"What's up, Pikachu?" asked Ash. Clefairy began to hop away, with Pikachu following.
(Insert "Creeping Shadow" from Pokémon)
Ash and his friends followed the two Pokémon. Night had fallen and Ash and his friends continued to follow Pikachu and Clefairy. Fifi did her usual prancing.
"Pikachu, where on Earth are you taking us?" asked Ash.
"Where are you going?" asked Fifi. Very soon, they saw the entrance to a large cave. "Eet's another cave," said Fifi. The heroes then ventured into it. Inside the center of the cave, was the giant Moonstone that crashed into Mt. Moon millions of years ago. Around it were Moon Stone shards. "It's the core of the Moon Stone," said Seymour. Lined up around it was a bunch of Moon Stone shards.
"This feels like a dream," said Misty.
"So the Moon Stone legend is true," said Brock.
"Look, Clefairy's doing something," said Ash. Clefairy put the shard it was holding where the other shards were at.
(End Music)
The shards began to glow a bright blue along with the giant Moon Stone. As the stones were glowing, more Clefairy began to gather in the cave.
"Zere are so many of zem," said Fifi. One of the Clefairy began to speak.
"I think it's saying hello," said Buster.
"Yeah," said Brock.
"Look at zem," said Fifi. All of them began hopping around the Moon Stone.
"Amazing. These Clefairy form their own society. This is an incredible sight," said Seymour. Once again Pikachu and Clefairy were talking about something.
"Hey, Pikachu. What's been Clefairy telling you about anyway?" asked Ash. Pikachu began to talk to Ash. Ash could actually understand Pikachu as he explained everything.
"The Clefairy are praying to the Moon Stone. Amazing," said Ash.
"Is it because the Moon Stone fell from the heavens?" asked Seymour.
"Then maybe the legends are true. Maybe the Moon Stone really did come from space," said Misty.
"Yeah," said Ash.
"Of course. It all makes sense now," said Seymour.
"What does?" asked Fifi.
"Outer space. Pokémon and the human will ride the Moon Stone to outer space. First to the moon, then to Mars, then together to the stars!" said Seymour.
(Insert "Team Rocket Motto, Kanto-Johto Version" from Pokémon)
"Stars? That's our cue!" said a voice. Everybody turned around and saw that it was Meowth. Jessie and James were with him too.
"You guys don't know when to quit," said Ash. Misty stuck out her tongue. Then, Seymour ran in front of Ash and his friends and extended his arms.
"You keep away from the Moon Stone or else!" said Seymour.
"Pikachu," said Pikachu.
"Clefairy!" said Clefairy.
"Or else what?" asked James.
"I think we've been threatened," said Jessie.
"The Moon Stone belongs to the Clefairy, not to you troublemakers! Leave this cave at once!" said Seymour.
"What's that unusual sound?" asked James.
"His knees are shaking!" said Jessie. And they were.
"Hmm, sounds like a wimp!" said Meowth.
"I'll show you," said Seymour as he charged at Team Rocket.
"Don't, Seymour," said Seymour. He let out a battle cry as he charged. But Meowth tripped him and he fell to the ground.
(End Music)
"Heh. Did you have a nice trip?" asked Meowth. Seymour got back up, but his glasses were off.
"My glasses. I can't see a thing," said Seymour.
"Oh, Seymour," said Misty.
"That wasn't fair!" said Ash.
(Insert "Who is Stronger? Epic Battle!" from Pokémon)
"All is fair in a Pokémon match, boy!" said Jessie as she got out her Poké Ball.
"Enough talk!" said James, taking out his own.
"I agree! Let's go, Pikachu," said Ash.
"Pika!" said Pikachu as he charged.
"Onix, let's go!" said Brock. Koffing and Ekans were summoned first.
"Koffing!" said Koffing.
"Ekansssssss!" hissed Ekans. The Clefairy whimpered due to Team Rocket trying to steal the Moon Stone. Onix roared when it was summoned. Pikachu jumped on top of Onix's head.
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu as his cheeks sparked.
"Let's show them that size doesn't matter! Ekans, underground," said Jessie.
"Koffing, smokescreen!" said James.
"Ekansssss!" said Ekans as she burrowed into the ground.
"Koffing!" said Koffing as he let out his smoke from all his pours.
"Pikachu . . . ," said Pikachu. Everybody began to cough.
"Smoke won't stop us! Pidgeotto, I choose you!" said Ash. He threw the ball and Pidgeotto was summoned.
"Pidgeotto!" squawked Pidgeotto.
"Pidgeotto, whirlwind the smoke!" said Ash. Pidgeotto began to flap its wings, blowing away the smoke.
(End Music)
But when the smoke was blown away, there was no sign of Team Rocket or the Moon Stone. "Huh? The Moon Stone is gone!" said Ash.
"Team Rocket stole it!" asked Misty.
"The match was just a trick so they could sneak away with it!" said Buster.
"Those creeps!" said Shirley.
"All right, Onix! Follow them underground!" said Brock. Onix burrowed into the ground to pursue Team Rocket.
"Zere's still a chance to catch zem!" said Fifi as she and the others exited the cave.
Seymour was still looking for his glasses when one of the Clefairy brought them to him.
"Clefairy?" asked Clefairy.
"I beg your par . . . ," said Seymour.
"Clefairy," said Clefairy. Seymour put his glasses back on.
"Oh, thank you! But why aren't you chasing after the robbers who took your Moon Stone?" asked Seymour.
"Clefairy?" asked the Clefairy.
"The Moon Stone is sacred to you, isn't it? It's your responsibility to take it back from those robbers. Do you understand me?" asked Seymour.
"Clefairy," said Clefairy.
Team Rocket laughed as they sledded down the hill with the Moon Stone tied to a large sled. "Nice guys always . . . ," began Jessie.
"Finish last!" finished James.
"We just went from worst to first, heh!" said Meowth. Suddenly, Onix burst out of the ground in front of them, roaring. Team Rocket screamed as they tried to stop. But it was too late. CRASH! The sled impacted with Onix, sending Team Rocket, their Pokémon and the Moon Stone crashing to the ground.
"Got them!" said Ash.
"Nice work, Onix!" said Brock.
"That saying of nice guys finish last. That is wrong!" said Buster.
"No, it's not true," objected Jessie.
"But eet ees, you idiots," said Fifi.
"There's one thing you should know," said Shirley.
"What?" asked Meowth.
"The Moon Stone only works with certain Pokémon. And yours aren't any of them," said Shirley.
"No. It can't be true either!" said James.
"We worked too hard to get this Moon Stone and we're not about to allow you twerps and toons to deny us getting what we want ever again!" said Meowth.
"Onix, grab them, now!" said Brock. Onix charged at Team Rocket.
"Koffing, counterattack!" said James.
"Koffing!" said Koffing as it charged at Onix. But it just bounced off of Onix's strong body. Koffing fell to the ground. James gasped.
"Did you really think a Poison-type Pokémon like Koffing could beat a Ground-type like Onix?" asked Shirley.
"Hey, look!" said Ash. Seymour emerged from the hole.
"It's Seymour!" said Misty. All the Clefairy started to jump out of the hole.
"Meowth! What's going on?" asked Meowth.
"Clefairy!" said the head Clefairy. All the Clefairy began to wave their fingers, chanting.
"What are they doing?" asked Jessie.
"Waving their fingers," said James. Suddenly, Team Rocket started to tilt back and forth in rhythm with their finger waving.
"This way and that way, this way and that way," said Meowth. Everybody else was following their pattern too.
"I'm getting dizzy," said Misty.
"This is an attack that Clefairy use called the Metronome," said Seymour.
"Pika?" asked Pikachu.
"I've never seen the Clefairy use the Metronome before. Who knows what'll happen!," said Seymour.
"Clefairy!" said the Clefairy.
Suddenly, all the Clefairy started to glow. The ground underneath Team Rocket started to crack. This was followed by a massive explosion that blew the Moon Stone to pieces. Some of the Clefairy were sent flying away from the explosion. Team Rocket were sent flying into the air. Meowth had dizzy eyes.
"Well, it looks like Team Rocket is . . . ," said Jessie.
"Blasting off again!" said James.
"That was the Metronome?" saked Meowth.
"I give it two thumbs down," said Jessie.
"Me too!" said James.
"Meowth three!" said Meowth. And they disappeared into the distance.
"Wow!" said Ash.
"Sacrebleu! Zat's what Metronome does?!" asked Fifi.
"From what I read, Metronome randomly selects a Pokémon attack for the user to execute. But it's sometimes a risky move cause it may result in a weak attack," said Shirley. Just then, everybody saw Moon Stone shards started to rain down.
"The Moon Stone," said Seymour.
(Insert "All's Well That Ends Well" from Pokémon)
Some of the shards that fell on the Clefairy were causing them to evolve. Their new forms were noticeably much taller than Clefairy, but still retained its vague star shape. They remained a tailed biped, but their ears were now much longer and almost completely the same color as its body, with small brown tips. The Pokémon's wings were now much larger and a deeper shade of pink, but they were incapable of flight. Upon evolving, they lose the elongated left fang and the nails on theirs fingers that it had as Clefairy, but gain an extra clawed toe on each foot. The undersides of their feet have a circular dark pink pattern. "Clefable," said some of them.
"The Clefairy are . . . ," said Brock.
"Evolving," said Misty.

Ash took out his Pokédex to get data. "Clefable, an advanced form of Clefairy. These unique creatures are among the rarest Pokémon in the world," said the Pokédex.

"The power of the Moon Stone did this," said Seymour.
Once again, the Clefairy and the Clefable were dancing around the place where the giant Moon Stone used to be. Now in it's place, was a pile of Moon Stone shards. "I've decided to live here with the Clefairy," said Seymour.
"Huh?" asked Ash.
"It's been my life's dream to find the Moon Stone. Someday I will travel to the stars with the Clefairy," said Seymour.
"Wow," said Misty.
"When you do visit Outer Space, I hope you'll remember to send us a postcard," said Brock.
"Pikachu," said Pikachu.
It was now morning, and it was time to go. "So long, Seymour. Goodbye, Clefairy," said Ash.
"Goodbye Ash. Goodbye Pikachu. And thank you all," said Seymour. "
Do you think the Clefairy came from space?" asked Ash.
"Its fun to imagine they did," said Misty.
"Oui," said Fifi.

Very soon, Ash and co. arrived to the part of the road where the sign that Mary Meolody, Hamton Pig and Fowlmouth were at yesterday. "This road leads to Cerulean City. Well, I guess we're headed the right way," said Brock. Misty had a sad look. Something about that city made her feel down. "And there's something else scribbled here," said Brock.
"Yeah. They say kids like to write silly notes on these signs," said Ash. Ash looked at it. "It looks like Gary originally wrote it to insult Mary and I, but somebody altered it so that Gary is being insulted," said Ash.
"What does it say?" asked Shirley.
"It says, 'Gary is a prick. Ash and Mary are not losers'," said Ash.
"Pretty daring for whoever scribbled eet to use ze P word," said Fifi.
"And I can only think of one toon who would write something rude like that; Fowlmouth," said Buster.
"Fowlmouth?" asked Brock.
"The protégé of Foghorn Leghorn the Rooster. He says some of the most dirty stuff when angered," said Shirley.
"Oh. I get it. Fowl as in bird," chuckled Brock.
"Ze next time we encounter Gary, we're gonna give heem a piece of our minds," said Fifi. And the group began to walk to Cerulean City. But little did they know that they were being followed, by the Sandshrew that Ash gave water to.
Our heroes have finished their adventure at Mt. Moon and are heading toward Cerulean City to meet up with Mary Melody, unaware that Sandshrew is following them. Not to mention, they learned that there are some people who are not afraid to insult Gary. What will happen when Gary finds out his insult toward Ash has been changed to insult him instead? Will Gary do a violent retaliation or will he be the butt of another of the toons' jokes? You'll need to tune in to future episodes as the journey continues.

Sneak Peek
On the next episode of "Tiny Toon Adventures in Kanto", Ash and co. arrive at Cerulean City. They learned that there are three Gym Leaders who happen to be Misty's older sisters; Daisy, Violet and Lily. The problem is that all their Pokémon are out of commission and Misty is the only one who can battle Ash. Ash wants to send Pikachu to battle Misty, but he doesn't want to fight her. But Fifi will have none of that. Will Ash beat Misty? Can Fifi "persuade" Pikachu to fight Misty? And what happens when Team Rocket decide to come and steal the Pokémon at the Gym?! Find out, in "The Water Flowers of Cerulean City" on "Tiny Toon Adventures in Kanto"!
I hope you enjoyed reading the latest episode. As you read, Fowlmouth changed Gary's insult toward Ash and Mary so that he would be on the receiving end. Gary will find out what Fowlmouth did later and you can bet, he won't be happy. Plus, the Sandshrew that Ash gave water is now following them. I plan to have it join Ash in "The School of Hard Knocks". Next episode will show the end of Mary's battle against Misty's sisters. This time, Pikachu will battle Misty's Pokémon. As for how Fifi gets Pikachu to fight, you'll see how she does it.
