The next day, we had to bring Jeff to the airport. He had to catch a flight for noon to go back to California, so we couldn't make it to church that day.

On Monday, I realized I forgot to study yesterday, but teachers let you study for a few extra minutes, so I wasn't too worried.

After school, I was walking home when Jack came by with his car and said, "Rick and I are on our way to be with Sam, so do you want to join us so that you can hang out with Kristy?"

"Sure," I said. "I'll have to text Dad first."

"Why?" asked Rick.

"Big deal. I always do that," I said.

Oh, my lord. Why can't they mind their business? I texted Dad to let him know and he says it was fine. I wasn't going to let them to tell me what and what not to do. At the mansion, I was able to be with Kristy while Sam was with the guys, so it wasn't a problem.

"Seriously, I think I'm going out of my mind with those two guys," I said.

"What happened?" asked Kristy.

"They asked me why I had to tell Dad where I was going, I told that I always do that," I said.

"Of course," said Kristy. "I thought they were nice."

"Me, too," I said.

We hung out for awhile until Charlie offered me a ride home since Kristy had to baby-sit in that area while the guys were staying for a bit longer.

The following day, I could smell something in my purse before going to school while that was making me sick and when I looked, it was weeds. I don't how I got them. I don't do weeds- I'm a minor. But I knew that wasn't mine and knew it belonged to the guys. How could they have done that to me? I didn't know they did that and I don't think they realized it. I didn't know what to expect. Were those two trying to get me in trouble? Thank god I'm in middle school, not in high school with them because I'm starting to get fed up with those idiots.

Later, after school, I was at the park to meet up with the guys. I threw the weeds back to them. They saw that I was not happy with them.

"Hey! What was that for?" asked Rick.

"Were you insane about putting these weeds in my purse?" I asked. "And, were you trying to get me in trouble?"

"But we thought you'd be into that," said Jack.

"Absolutely not," I said.

"Why?" asked Rick.

"Because I said so," I said. "I was taught at an early age to never get into drugs. And, I was also taught to say no to drugs."

I am glad to say no, but I wonder I might be seeing red flags about these guys. Were they trying to change me for who I am? I decided to have a talk with Dad later on. He'd know what to do. I remembered he always tells me if I have any problems with anything, I can go to him and he will help me solve it.

Later that evening, when I got back home, it was time for dinner. In the middle of it, I left the table without a word.

"Is it me or is Mary Anne in a bad mood?" asked Dawn.

"That is so strange," said Carlos.

"I just noticed she didn't talk much tonight. Something must have happened," said Dad. "I'll go talk to her."

Dad knocked on my door and came in to be with me.

"Did something happened?" asked Dad. "I noticed you looked unhappy."

"I saw the weeds in my purse this morning before school. I knew they weren't mine. I knew they belonged to them. I ended up giving back to them. They saw I wasn't happy with them when I threw the weeds at them," I said as I sat up. "When they thought I'd give the weeds a try, I said no way. I didn't want to mention this to you because I was afraid you'd be mad at me."

"I'm proud of you doing the right thing," said Dad.

"I did remembered you taught me at an early age," I said.

"That's right," said Dad.

"Dad, can I ask you a couple of questions?" I asked.

"Sure," said Dad.

"Did anyone tried to pressure to do things while you're growing up?" I asked.

"No," said Dad.

"You're lucky," I said. "I had no idea they were going to do that."

"No one can tell right away," said Dad.

"Is that a sign they're trying to change me for who I am?" I asked.

"I can tell that you're in a rough spot," said Dad.

"Yes," I said.

"It's good that you came to me for any issues," said Dad.

"I did remembered that you told me if I had issues, I'd go to you," I said.

"That's true," said Dad.

"I just don't know what to do," I said. "Should I keep tabs on them before I make any tough decisions?"

"That would be a small step to take," said Dad.

"I forgot to tell you that they asked me why did I had to tell you where I was going, I just said I always do that," I said. "I was on the edge to tell them to mind their business. There is no way I'd let them get me into trouble."

"Oh, before I forget, the bill comes in tomorrow, so I'll let you know how much you'll owe me," said Dad.

"Okay," I said.
