Cells POV
No one would forget his announcement. He flew above a convoy.
Soon, he will fight Goku, and then he will kill his friends.
His energy pushed cars to the side.
Cell couldn't stop thinking about Vegeta's mistake and his patience.
Everything turned out in his favor. His ego killed off every worry he may have had.
He was perfect.
He could have everything.
Nothing would stand in his way.
After a highway, Cell found himself surrounded by a massive forest. He flew over it but took his time. Why should he hurry? He was the strongest. He was perfect. Even if Goku and his friends managed to get much stronger after such a short time, they could not reach him.
Cell still asked himself how they accomplished something like that. It was like they only trained one day to become better. How did they do it? Did they have a machine? A new master? What was their secret? It couldn't be Roshi... And who thought Goku this very intriguing technique?
All of a sudden, he noticed something shiny out of the corner of his eyes.
He stopped and looked around. Nothing but forest.
To the east, a village
Then, he saw something red between the trees. Looked like a human.
The hunt is on.
When he flew closer, he identified the person to be a woman.
She didn't notice him when he landed behind her.
He wanted to follow her for a bit, but she looked his way and... ignored him?
What?
She just continued walking, as though nothing happened.
Oh, of course!
A hillbilly.
He followed her.
"I guess someone didn't watch TV today!" He said out loud. She stopped and looked at him.
A confused "Hu?" was all he got. That ruined his day just a bit.
"Don't play dumb, everyone knows who I am, since my announcement. Dumb or not, I will have fun with you."
Her face didn't show any concern. He thought of her to be a dumb chick. With her next sentence, she confirmed his assumption.
"Didn't you say ten days?" Oh boy. She said it in a silly innocent voice. 'She thinks I'm going to kill humans only after I won my tournament!? What?!' Cell crossed his arms and wanted to lecture her about her misfortune, but she interrupted him:
"Oh, I would love to see your tournament! Imagine who would participate! All the fighting techniques! Maybe Son Goku and Tenshinhan show up too?" She told him, with such a high-pitched voice, that he wanted to make her shut up. Her voice got on his nerves.
Wait...
What? Why was she talking about Goku and Tien all of a sudden? Is she familiar with them?
Maybe this is his chance to get information about Gokus training and his technique.
"Oh, looks like someone enjoys martial arts." He asked with a surprising tone.
"I love martial arts! But I love Tenshinhan more! His shoulders are so dreamy!"
What was wrong with this woman!?
He wasn't sure anymore if she was familiar, or if she was just a fan.
"Can I come to your tournament too?" Either she was naive or dumb as hell. He thought later was the case.
"It was an open invite." Cell said while thinking she was crazy.
"Oh great! See you at your tournament!" and with that, she continued walking.
He thought she was a stupid chick. Let alone, how dressed up she came to a forest.
"Ts"
'disrespectful'
And he flew off to the village to the east.
He wanted to cause a bit of trouble there, but only a tiny bit. He wanted to spare himself a good chunk for after his tournament. After that, he would go on his mission to kill every single human. The woman was already gone from his mind.
Before entering the village, a truck driver saw Cell, and he was rightfully shocked. Cell looked at him with an arrogant smile and noticed, that the driver didn't pay attention to the road. Then, the disaster took place.
The truck drove into a gas station and there was a huge explosion. Fire spread like crazy and Cell heard screams from all over the place. He just stopped in midair and watched as some people tried to put the fire out and more tried to flee from him.
Some saw him and yelled something, but he didn't listen, he didn't care. He was busy enjoying the chaos.
Everything caught fire.
Trees,
bushes,
humans...
He didn't have to do anything, but jet, there was a question burning in his skull. What if the dragon balls did exist and Goku wanted to revive everyone he killed. Would these people be inserted in the wish, or do they need a second one? Was this accident his fault? Cell didn't do anything. The driver could have looked out for the road. Or is it how wish is formulated?
Cell tried to remember when Kuririn or Yamcha got killed. Or Tien...wait...what if the woman knew something? She knew the names... But on the other hand, it could be that she just really likes martial arts. If Cells information were also true for this timeline, then Tien wasn't interested in women at all. There was nothing between him and Lunch. If he only had her name...then he would know how important her relationship was. Maybe she's one of Yamchu's ex? Cell heard he had a lot. If she was related or even friends with Goku or company, then she maybe knew something about his training and technique.
The sky turned dark from the smoke. The village turned into a sea of flames. There wasn't anything to see anymore. Maybe he should find the dumb chick again. Just one direct question and done. She wouldn't lie or else...
He flew back and hoped she was still around.
Of course, she wasn't there anymore.
He should try again tomorrow. She probably lived nearby. Or...maybe not. The world was fleeing from him, and she would be dumb if she wouldn't do the same. But on the other hand, she probably was already really dumb.
Cell returned to his tournament ring.
He wanted to show what he thought about the world.
Without a concrete destiny in mind, he flew from spot to spot to kill innocent people and cause destruction.
The world needed to know that there wasn't a place where anyone would be safe or could hide from him.
After some time, he reminded himself, that he wanted to look after the chick.
If he didn't find her, it wasn't a big deal to him. He didn't have to know Gokus secrets too badly.
Also, he wanted to travel a lot and 'everyone meets twice in life'. The forest wasn't too far away, but when he came across a village, he had to destroy it. He was too fast. Cell seriously had to restrain himself from killing more, or else he wouldn't have enough for after his tournament.
He arrived in the forest and looked around if he could find her.
There was still smoke coming from the east village. He was curious if he could find something interesting there, so he flew towards it.
He was lucky.
Who was there?
The chick.
He couldn't see what she was doing down there, but he assumed she searched for something.
All of a sudden, he questioned if she searched for a dragon ball, but that couldn't be the case. Piccolo and Kami are one. The dragon balls are no more. Or...?
Goku was alive in this timeline, so maybe more things are different or work differently? Everything could be possible.
Cell watched her until she stumbled over a burned leg. She looked like she was shocked, and she turned and trudged back to her car. That probably messed with her head. The way she walked seemed off.
He landed in front of her and cut her off from reaching her car.
"Oh, did you get lost?" He could have sworn she looked surprised for a moment, but now she looked more like she didn't care he was there.
"No, I just wanted to see what you do in your spare time." Her casual, sassy tone reminded him of Goku. Her voice was so different. So... normal.
He tried to read her expression. She looked unconcerned. Like it wasn't a big deal, meeting him again. But her cheeks looked a bit flushed. Why? Why was she flushing? Angst? Drunken? That would fit her walking style...
"Aren't you supposed to be in-" He cut her off, "I was already there and enjoyed it much."
He remembered the screams. Oh yes, that fulfilled him much.
"Why are you here? Do you search for someone?"
"Is that so important? I wanted to leave now, so it doesn't matter." She is hiding something...
"You knew this place was destroyed, but you still came here?"
"Don't you have something better to do? Ehm...eh... I mean... I don't want to sound sassy, but really, why do you care?" Now she looked really interested. Did she find out about him spying on her? Cell didn't want to give his thoughts away.
He crossed his arms and looked to the left. Maybe he was wrong.
He was sure that she didn't know Goku or company in any way. Or...?
Everything was possible.
"Well, could have been that..." He didn't want to give himself away, "nothing. Forget it."
"What could have been?" She was very confused.
"It's ok, it was a coincidence." He couldn't continue like this. But he was too proud to flatly ask for her name.
"Hu? Cell." The woman shook her head. "Let's start again. I don't know what you want. What is going on?" The conversation was over. He took off and flew away.
She was so different. Somewhat more ...
The day before, he thought she was a stupid chick and now, she could have been a completely different person.
Doesn't matter.
He had better things to do than to think about a stupid human.
Also, not knowing about the technique and the training didn't do much for him. He was perfect, after all. Or...
No. He is. That will never change.
He flew much faster now and came across a city, that hadn't the pleasure of meeting Cell. It was his enjoyment to change that.
