Holy Britannian Empire, Area 11, Tokyo, Ikaruga, Three hours after the battle of Strasbourg
The tension in the bridge of the Ikaruga was rising. It had been four hours after Kaguya and Xingke went to meet with the Britannian ambassador and they haven't returned. Everyone assumed the Britannians might've been busy due to ongoing war in Europe, except for Chiba who thought the Britannians were just making them wait. After Lelouch took the throne, there had been no response on whatsoever on the deal they had made with Schneizel. They were only able to finally get a meeting with the Britannian ambassador after 3 weeks.
Ohgi meanwhile was walking back and forth, getting impatient. Villeta noticing this tries to calm Ohgi down.
"Ohgi relax, they might be on their way." Villetta tries to comfort him with a smile.
"What if they are not, what if the Britannian ambassador delayed the meeting?" Ohgi says.
"I doubt it, the ambassador didn't seem like he had any motive to do so." Tohdoh states.
"Ha, please its Britannians, it wouldn't be out of the question." Chiba remarked.
"Kinda racist, don't you think?" Sugiyama says a little angry.
"You of all should know better, not all Britannians are like that." Minami says.
"Just because Kozuki is a half? Look I respect Kozuki, but just because she is nice to us doesn't mean that I should start liking all Britannians." Chiba retorts.
"You're lucky that, Kallen and Tamaki aren't here." Sugiyama muttered quietly.
After Lelouch's takeover of the Britannian throne, Kallen has been sort of distancing herself from the Black Knights. She rarely ever shows up for meetings, training or even simply hanging out. And just today, she requested a leave of absence, saying that she wants to go see, her mother and friends from her old school to check if they were okay. But everyone knew why she had taken a leave of absence, and it was because of Ohgi. After the whole revelation, Ohgi has been absolutely unhinged for the past weeks, anytime Kallen criticizes everyone on the whole coup, he would snap and start a whole argument over how Zero- Lelouch betrayed them. Heck its the same thing if anyone make some comments about his new Britannian girlfriend, funnily enough she would be the one that would try to calm the situation down.
Tamaki on the other hand, had resigned from the Black Knights, returning back to Horai island about a week ago. He honestly has gotten fed up over everything that has happened and again it was Ohgi that had pushed him to edge. He keeps contact with Sugiyama, Minami and Kallen, but started to cut ties with Ohgi.
"Chiba!" Tohdoh shouts her name. "That's enough."
Chiba shrinks at the General's orders. "Yes, General."
Xiangling went up to Tohdoh. "Thank you, she was starting to piss me off." She whispered.
Tohdoh sighed. "Don't be, Chiba is a good person. It's just that she never had a good experience with Britannians." He told her quietly.
"Doesn't every Japanese have one?" Xiangling questioned.
"Chiba's is different. I will tell you about it later," said Tohdoh, looking at the short-haired Japanese woman.
"Huh, I'm guessing it's not pleasant." Xiangling asks, to which Tohdoh nods.
Soon Kaguya and Xingke returned from their meeting with the Britannian ambassador, and everyone could tell it was bad news. Ohgi rushed toward the Chairwoman and Marshall.
"Well how did the meeting go? Is Japan ours?" Ohgi immediately asks.
Kaguya let out a sigh before she began. "Unfortunately, due to former Prime Minister Schneizel being branded as a traitor by the new regime, the deal that we made is invalid. Japan is still Britannian territory," Kaguya revealed.
Everyone in the room went into outrage. Their goal of freeing Japan from Britannia had been destroyed; Lelouch had taken it away from them. This was his revenge on them for betraying him by giving him to Schneizel, and now they had to pay the consequences.
"I wasn't done yet," Kaguya cut them off. "Though the deal is off, the Britannian government is willing to let the Black Knights forces remain in Tokyo until the damage caused by the F.L.E.I.J.A is resolved. So we can stay here for three months. But only to help repair the damage to the Tokyo settlement." Kaguya stated.
The Black Knights' high command all pondered over her statement. They only had three months to stay in Japan, and that was only to help repair the Tokyo settlement. Honestly, not a bad deal; if they could get to stay here for three more months, they could at least use this time to spread their influence throughout Tokyo, putting pressure on the Britannian government to give Japan to the U.F.N.
How were they confident in the Britannian government granting Japan independence by doing this? Because, as it stands, right now, Britannia is unstable due to the nobility uprisings and now the war with the E.U., which is certainly causing instability within the Empire. If they are dealing with mass protests and riots in Japan, they will soon be pressured to grant Japan independence.
"Alright we'll do it. If it's three months it's more then enough time to increase our influence in Japan." Ohgi says. Getting nods from everyone.
Meanwhile, Xingke, Tohdoh, and Kaguya all gather together, while everyone else heads off to their respective tasks.
Xingke began, "I don't like this."
"Me neither," Tohdoh agreed with the Chinese Marshall. "Something feels off about that deal. Lelouch wouldn't just let us stay here for three months."
"I agree," said Kaguya. "There's something going on here." She nodded in agreement with Tohdoh, noting that something seemed off about the deal. "We need to stay alert; we don't know what he's planning."
The two men nod in agreement. Though they are unsure of what Lelouch is planning, the fact remains that he is unpredictable; he could strike them at any moment and they would not even know. They must be cautious; right now, things are unstable as it is, from Zero's reveal to his becoming Emperor, the current world order is now crumbling down as they knew it.
As the trio left to continue their investigation, Tohdoh meanwhile went to his private quarters, getting inside he sat down in front of his computer and took out a USB drive. Inserting it, an encryption screen appeared. Tohdoh tried several passwords, but all were unsuccessful. He then slouched on his chair, thinking of the time when he received the USB drive.
Flashback to a few days prior, after questioning members of Zero Squadron following their raid in the Takalaman Desert. Tohdoh appeared to be leaving the room after questioning another member of Zero squad. He then headed to the hanger where the damaged, gold Vincent was being stored in the Ikaruga.
When questioning some of the members of zero squad, all of them told him to check the logs of the Vincent, saying that the pilot had been part of Zero's inner circle. It might have been likely that there were some information about the true nature of the facility. Going through the files he had found nothing, as the data had all been deleted. When he was about to leave, a mechanic had seen him leave the hanger.
"I was wondering when someone come around here." The mechanic says, getting Tohdoh's attention.
"Is there a problem?" Tohdoh asked.
"Not really, it's just that a month ago, that purist, Jeremiah told me to give this to anyone who came to check up on that Vincent." The mechanic took out a USB drive.
Tohdoh eyes widened in shock. Jeremiah was here? If so why, why did he give a USB drive to a random mechanic. "Did he tell you what it is?" Tohdoh asked.
The mechanic shrugged. "Not a clue, tried to check it myself, but it's encrypted." The mechanic threw the USB drive to Tohdoh, who managed to catch it. "Better luck figuring out the encryption to that drive." The mechanic left before Tohdoh could ask more questions.
Come to today, Tohdoh still hasn't figured out the password to the USB drive. The fact that Jeremiah came here around a month ago, knowing that someone would come to check the Vincent's logs, is certainly. It would mean that something was off, maybe they were deceived by Schneizel all along. For now he would keep it to himself and once he finds the password to the drive, he will tell everyone about his discovery.
Ikaruga, hanger bay
Waiting for the Vtol that would take her to Tokyo, Kallen waited around the hanger in her civilian clothing with a bag her back. She looked at the Tokyo Settlement, specifically the large gaping crater, only two months had passed since the F.L.E.I.J.A incident and yet as of now the crater is nearly full of water, thanks to the heavy downpour in Tokyo for the past few weeks... Things have awfully changed, from the coup that Ohgi and the rest of the command staff had started to Lelouch's takeover of the Empire and now the second Britannia-Europia war.
She has had a hard time accepting everything; she still can't forget what Lelouch told her. It's still stuck in her heart - why did Lelouch say that, just why did he? She needs to know. But for now, there is someone else that she needs to find first.
"Captain Kouzuki!" A voice called her name. Causing Kallen to turn around, and getting surprised hugged by a short petite brunette girl.
"What the? who, wait... Benio? Is that you?" Kallen asked the girl, who looked up with teary eyes to her face and nod.
"Ahhhhh! I mis-sed y-ou, th-ey s-aid you wer-e captu-red by the Brit-annians. We all thought you were dead. Wahhhhh!" Benio continued to cry as she finally was once again reunited with her saviour and idol. Though she was hugging rather tightly.
"Be-Benio, if you kee-keep hugging m-me like that I-I might actually- die." Kallen tried to tell her as she kept breathing.
Benio hearing the redheads words unwrapped her hands from her and starts to bow down apologising. "Sorry, Ms Kallen. It's just been so long since you were taken prisoner by the Britannians. A lot has changed since you were gone." Benio tells her as Kallen coughs hardly.
"I can tell, you've been doing well. How is Kagari? How is she doing, its been a while since I saw her." Kallen asked her junior.
"Ah, she is doing fine. Last I heard she was in India, apparently they found a way to mass produce the radiant wave surger." Benio revealed.
"Wait, really! That sure took them a while." Kallen comments.
"Well, we do have funding from basically from the entire former Chinese Federation and former E.U. states." Benio pointed out.
"You got a point."
"Where are you headed?" Benio asked.
"To Tokyo, I'm going to see if some people I know are okay." Kallen tells her, as the Vtol could be seen arriving.
"Well I hope the best, I have to go now. I still have duties to attend to." Benio waved her goodbye as she left to continue her duties.
Kallen watched as Benio left, she had grown a lot since the last time she saw her. Honestly it is assuring to know that there was one good person she knows around. Even if Minami and Sugiyama were nice, they still side with Ohgi with the whole situation. But let's forget about them and go see if her Mom was still alive. She couldn't get her Mom out of Japan during the new SAZ, since it was already difficult enough for them to blend in and enter the new SAZ. Whatever it takes she must find her no matter, after all she is the 'only' family she has left.
Europia United, Coast of Gabon, Britannian Super Carrier The Alwin, Three and a half hours after the Battle of Strasbourg
Britannian Sutherlands and Gloucesters could be seen landing on the coasts of Gabon, along with Infantry and many other support vehicles as they are being gunned down by E.U. coastal defences that were stationed on the cliffs. The Britannian Knightmares took no effort to take down the static defense's but were being held down by Panzer Hummels, that were right next to the bunkers.
Back in the Super carrier, the Alwin. The Knight of One, Elijah Lamperouge, could be seen in his pilot suit as he is being briefed by the situation by the officers in the bridge.
"The E.U. has been putting up a good defense; our forces haven't been able to get through whatever." An officer briefed.
"If we don't make a breakthrough and establish a beachhead soon, the E.U. will definitely reorganize themselves sooner or later. We need to take control of west coast of Gabon and the Congo, to cut off their naval access, before its too late." A officer urged.
Elijah looked indifferent upon receiving the information he was given; in fact, he kept looking at the beachfront. It was as if he was thinking of a plan to get through the E.U.'s defenses. After analyzing the whole area, Elijah made his way to the hangar. "I'll take care of it."
Upon arriving at the hangar, two engineers hurried toward him. The two men saluted the Knight of One before speaking. "My lord, we have completed the final adjustments; it should operate perfectly now."
"Better be, or else it will be your paycheck," Elijah joked, getting a laugh from the two engineers.
Standing before Elijah, was his Knightmare, the Bedivere. It's appearance was that of the Lancelot Albion, except it had the head of a Vincent Ward and had no energy wings installed. It was painted white and red. Its armaments consisted of one Super VARIS rifle and two MVS lances similar to what the original Vincent used, it was even equipped with blaze luminous shields including a needle blazer. It also had an intergrated float system, similar to the Gareths but much more smaller.
Elijah got into his Knightmare as it was being lifted to the flight deck. Once inside and the Bedivere already attached to the catapult, Elijah was getting used to the systems. Though he had used a Vincent Commander model during the Nobility Uprising, the specs and systems were vastly different from that of a Vincent. After getting somewhat adjusted, Elijah gave the go-ahead for the bridge and the catapult system quickly launched the Bedivere. Elijah activated the float system and immediately sped up the Knightmare. This was Elijah's specialty - speed.
Like his sister, he is also someone who can pilot Knightmares at extremely high speeds. Although it can't be compared to the Flash, his sister can achieve the impossible. But if she can do the impossible, so can he.
He arrived at the beach within less than twenty seconds and was now behind enemy lines, landing in a area full of E.U. Knightmares and static defenses. In a maater of seconds he was surrounded by Panzer Hummels and Wespe's, as they all turned to the Bedivere with their weapons.
"Surrender, we have you surrounded Britannian." The commander of the E.U. force told him.
Unfortunately for them, Elijah had no intention of surrendering. Instead he smiled at the situation, finding it kind of amusing on how the E.U. forces think that they are going to win against him.
In a blink of an eye, the Bedivere took out it's Super VARIS and starts firing at the E.U. forces. He managed to create some confusion and aimed his VARIS at the bunkers and destroyed all of them. Soon the remaining Panzer Hummels and Wespe's all gathered up and started firing at him.
Elijah activates the Bedivere's Blaze Luminous, causing all of the bullets to deflect off. Elijah makes a retreat by slowly skidding backwards, moving closer to the edge of the cliff and activating his float system. Once in the air, he once again aims his VARIS rifle at them, and fires a cluster shot at them. The cluster shot destroyed about half of the Panzer units, with rest either being damaged or immobile.
Elijah decides to put the VARIS away, and takes out the MVS blades. He then swiftly maneuvered the Bedivere around the Panzers, while also slicing them down in one strike. For the last two Panzer Hummel and Wespe, he then combines the MVS blades, creating a double edged blade. The Beivere sliced the Panzer Hummel as it tried to charge at him, while stabbing the Panzer Wespe, with the other side of the blade.
Within a few minutes the battle ended, the Britannian forces were now easily taking care of the other defences, as they used the broken position as a way to take them out from behind. They were even able to take the nearby town, where the E.U. military was operating from.
Elijah returned back to the Alwin, after helping to round up all the POW's that they have captured. Once he returned back, he was greeted by the officers that he had just had a meeting with earlier.
"We are happy to report that we have just taken over the entire coast of Gabon. Sir Lamperouge." One of the officers informed. While that was certainly good news, Elijah knew there was also some bad news as well.
"The bad news?"
"Our forces in the Congo, sustained heavy losses while attempting to take over the port city of Matadi. They are requesting reinforcements." The officer reported, disappointed and scared. They assumed that the Knight of One would reprimand them for the information they had provided. Well, who could blame them, they were previously under the command of Dorothea Ernst, so what else was there to say?
However to their surprise, he... sighed. "...Well it can't be helped. Tell them I'll arrive their as soon as possible. I trust that you can handle everything here, right?" Elijah asked. The officers were too stunned to even respond as they couldn't believe what was happening. "Right?"
The second time he said it, they all snapped back and immediately gave their answer. "Yes sir, leave everything to us." All of them place their fist on their heart. The Knight of One then took his leave, heading to the bridge.
"Ummm, did we just not get yelled by a Knight of the Round." An officer asked. A moment of silence passes, as they all still tried to process their encounter. Eventually one officer broke tye silence.
"I think we just did."
Northern Congo, At the same time
The E.U. forces could be seen retreating in a frenzy as they were being destroyed by incoming attacks of red deaths and machine gun fire. However the thing is, the Britannian Knightmares are actually just consisted of a bunch of Vincent Wards. The one that is causing all the destruction was one single Knightmare.
The Knightmare had a very strange design, it's frame was similar to that of the Gawain, but it's head was like a miniaturized version of a Bamides. Both of its arms were equipped with two triple gatling guns and like the previous Gawain it had shoulder mounted Hadron canon as well. It was also equipped with shields similar to that of the Mordred, along with its missile salvo that is equipped in a similar way to the Mordred. It also had a pistol similar to the one used by the Vercingetorix. It was coloured in Dark green and grey colours, with brown trimmings to show off its militaristic look. It also was equipped with an integrated float system like the original Gawain as well. It's name, Mama Bear. Though it was originally named Gawain Heavy, but the Knight of Two didn't like it, so she changed it herself.
"HAHAHAHAHA!" Inside the cockpit, it's pilot, the Knight of Two, was laughed maniacally, as she kept firing at the E.U. Knightmares. It didn't look like she was gonna leave any survivors, but soon enough one of the Vincent Wards tries to stop the bloodbath.
"Dame Hector, I think that's far enough. Don't you think?" The soldier nervously tells her.
For a moment, Margaret stopped firing and thought about it for a while "...Nah." And again continues to fire on the E.U. forces.
The soldier tries again. "Dame Hector, do you think the Emperor would approve such methods?!" The soldier tells back. Her reply to that, was an gatling gun at the Vincent Ward.
"First of all, no one except my husband, calls me Dame. And second I don't care what he thinks, do you think he lifted a finger when received the reports of how I handle in the battlefield? No, he didn't care." Margaret states to the pilot inside, who was currently on the verge of pissing himself.
"But I'll commend you for your bravery. You got guts." She lowered the Knightmare's gatling gun, much to the Vincent Ward's pilot's relief. "I was going to take some of them alive because of the boy scout, but ehh, whatever."
After that Margaret returned back to her G1 base, after leaving her Knightmare in the hanger. Once inside the bridge, she sits down on her little throne like chair with her legs crossed as she rested her face on her hand. The soldiers all looked tense as they all tried to be careful not to piss her off. After all she was one peculiar superior officer, one moment she would be lazily sitting around and even groaning when ever someone tries to brief her. Then whenever her family calls she would get all cheery and cute acting tye complete of when she was before. Yet when she actually starts getting serious, it honestly is scary. By GOD, how is the Knight of One even friends with this woman.
suddenly a transmission was being hailed.
"Uhhh, Dame Hector, you have a transmission." The communications officer tells her. To which she ignored. "It's from the Knight of One." Now that got her attention as she excitingly straightened herself with a big smile on her face.
"Quickly put him on!" She shouted excitingly. The Officer complied but however was still processing her sudden change in emotion.
The screen changes to the Knight of One, who had somewhat of a tired expression, like as if he wasn't looking forward to the call. "Margaret, nice to see you."
"Eli! How you been, you boy scout." She began, ignoring the various guffaws and offended gasps. "How are things in Gabon." She smiled playfully, getting a sigh from Elijah.
"Margaret... You need to follow procedure."
Margaret could only pout at his words. "Uuuggghhhhh, but Elijah, it's so annoying. Don't you remember why I deserted the military years ago, before your whole little assassination?" She reminded him.
"Yes I do, but you are a Knight of the Round, you have to show an example to the other soldiers." Elijah states, only getting an annoyed sigh from her.
"Ugh, Boring, If I wanted to show an example, I would've brought my little angels here. But no, they are back in Pendragon, with my husband." Margaret complained, letting out huge groan. "When can this whole war be over? I wanna go back to my husband and kids. I haven't seen them in over a month." She gritted her teeth impatiently.
"From what our experts say, three months. This is mostly because of the amount of defenses in the United Republic of Britain and Ireland." Elijah says, making Margaret chuckle a little.
"Ironic that our previous homeland was well more defended than the leading nation of the E.U. Don't you think, Eli?" Margaret inquired, getting a small smirk from him. "After two hundred years, the British isles will be ours again."
"Truly, after two hundred years. We will return back the isles of Britain." Elijah's words were heard by everyone. Every Britannian dreamed of going back to their old Homeland, it was after all where everything, their history, legends, battles, wars, etc, all began. They're ancestors might be partying in the afterlife at this moment as well, celebrating the coming day.
"Yeah, I wonder if my ancestor, Richard Hector would react to this." Margaret also had such ambitions. While she never was interested in Britannian politics as a whole, she did want to achieve the Hector family's -which might also be Britannia's ultimate goal- retaking the isles. Her mother and father had already told her stories about their old homeland. Her parents died before they could ever go, so she wanted her children to see their ancestors home.
"He probably would be partying in his grave like the rest of our ancestors." That earned a small laugh from everyone, including Margaret. "Anyways, the reason why I called. Quickly finish your operations in Northern Congo and meet up with me in the capital of the Congo."
That got her confused. She was all the way up in the Northern Congo, while he was in the east, it would take her days to reach his position, especially to the capital of the country. "Can't you request that George guy for help? He is closer to you."
"Unfortunately he is prioritising on capturing the Eastern Congo." Elijah says. This certainly surprises her.
Margaret asks, "Is it because of the minerals in the Shaba and Kivu regions?"
Elijah nods in confirmation. "His majesty is prioritising in taking these territories as soon as possible. It will be beneficial to us in his future plans."
Margaret could only shrug. "Guess it can't be helped," she said. "I will rendezvous with you as soon as I can."
"Then I will wait for your arrival." He says. But before Elijah cuts off the transmission, Margaret said something that she really shouldn't have said.
"Also stop calling your own nephew, Emperor. Didn't the kid say it was okay since you two are family." She tells him. Suddenly, everyone in the command froze in shock to what they had just heard.
Yes, even though he has revealed his relation to the Emperor, he didn't make it public at all. Which was mostly because, Elijah didn't want it to. He planned on revealing it after the Nobility uprisings and now after the war. Since if he revealed it earlier, his poor nephew would've been criticised for such a move. It was already controversial, when he had appointed, sir Kururugi as the Knight of Zero.
"Margaret... please shut up." Elijah says irritated before he cut off the transmission.
There was a brief moment of silence in the room. No one spoke a word and not even one person made a single move, they were all too absorbed by the revelation of the Knight of One's relationship with the Emperor. Yet for some reason, the Knight of Two didn't seem to mind at all.
"What's he getting mad about, he was going to reveal it sooner or later." Margaret commented. Slouching lazily on her throne. To which everyone just stares at her fascinated.
At the end of the day, everyone who has now been under her command, is still fascinated by her actions and behaviour. They have never seen such a laidback commander, yet at the same time a completely ruthless woman who shows no mercy to her enemies.
Margaret noticing all the stares get annoyed and stomps her foot down on the ground, which made everyone snap back to attention. "Found something interesting?" She asked, making everyone turn to different directions. "The hell are you standing around for! We're in a war, not a classroom! Get back to what you were doing NOW!" She yelled, getting everyone to go back to what they were originally doing.
She truly is someone they can never understand, heck it seems that the Knight of One doesn't even understand her. Which begs the question, how did her husband win her over? That is certainly a story for another time.
Eastern Congo, Shaba, Four hours after the battle of Strasbourg
"Someone save me-" A Panzer Wespe gets stabbed in the back.
The Knightmare which stabbed looked like like an exact copy of the Percival which Luciano Bradley used, instead it was coloured in grey. Taking out the Percival's Drill lance, it turned back to see the rest of the battlefield...
If you can call it one.
Panzer Hummels, Panzer Wespe's and Alexander's could be seen all destroyed as parts of it were laying around the ground. Some of them had holes in their cockpits from the Percival's drill lance, and some could be seen on fire. But the one thing that they couldn't see, were E.U. survivors, not even a wounded one.
All of this was done by one man, the man who was feared by the Britannian forces in South Africa. One so dangerous that even a Knight of the Round couldn't defeat him. George Morris, the butcher.
"Hey George, couldn't you have left some for us?" the Grey Percival turned around to four red and grey Vincents.
The four Vincents appeared to be stabbing the cockpits of the E.U. Knightmares, they were making sure there were no survivors.
"I told you already, keep some survivors. The Emperor had ordered all of us specifically." George reminded them.
"Nah, where's the fun in that." One of them, a man, Themba replied.
"Exactly, I love it when they all try to beg and ask us to spare their lives." Another one, a woman, Amara added. As another Vincent stabs an Alexander.
"Amara, you do realise that was a drone you just stabbed." Her comrade, Themba tell her in a mocking tone.
"Oh I know, but it's just so fun stabbing these Knightmares." She says, stabbing a Panzer Hummel, with a pilot inside.
"I told you Themba, Amara is just Psycho." Another one of their teammates, Abidemi says.
"You're talking as if we aren't all Psycho's." The last one of their teammates, Masego says. "Am I right, George?"
George chuckled a little. "Of course, Masego. But please be a dear and leave some prisoners alive."
"Such a meanie, your no fun anymore, George." Amara says, annoyed.
"Yeah, ever since you got out of Guantanamo, you've been weird." Themba says agreeing.
"Are you complaining, everyone? After I have given you better chance at killing people without being branded as criminals?" George questions them.
"I ain't complaining."
"Like Amara said, why would we complain with such an amazing opportunity like this."
George smiled. "That's better, now let's move along. We have a city to take." Percival turns to the city Lubumbashi. Behind the him the four Vincents lined up. From behind the mountain, a Longress class aerial ship can be seen escorted by five Caerleon aerial ships along with Sutherland's equipped with float systems.
George's smile turns malicious. "Let us get going, my four horsemen."
Europia United, German Federation, Offenburg, Avalon, 8 hours after the battle of Strasbourg
Meanwhile, in the European mainland, Lelouch is now making his move into the E.U. by advancing to the German Federation. They are already heading to their destination which is the German city of Offenburg. Taking the city is vital for future operations, as they can secure a supply chain for their forces. Lelouch of course is in taking command of the attack.
Meanwhile with Suzaku, he was already inside the Lancelot Albion's cockpit. The Lancelot had been fully repaired after its battle with the Ghost of Hannibal, though the damage wasn't too severe, it did make Lloyd throw a fit. Luckily Cecile was there to calm him down. Inside, Suzaku was snacking on some food that he had taken from the break room earlier, watching the recording of his battle with the Ghost of Hannibal. Though people may ask why he would, given that the Lancelot Albion like two generations ahead of the Alexander Liberte.
Suzaku was not the vengeful sort of person -ignoring all of his mishaps with Lelouch- however he does like a fair fight. So he felt that he could at least give the Ghsot of Hannibal a good fight. Then again he isn't the sort of person to play fair.
"Uhh, my lord?" Suzaku turned around to see who it was.
"It's me Thomas." Thomas says.
"Oh Thomas, what brings you here?" Suzaku asks, putting away his snack.
"Nothing much, just thought I tell you the simulations went well." Thomas tells him, getting Suzaku interested.
"Oh, how did it go?" Suzaku asked.
"Scored around 87 percent. Not that bad if you ask me." Thomas said proudly.
"For a Vincent Ward, yes. But the Knightmare you are piloting is equipped with a radiant wave surger. You need more than 90 percent to fully use it." Suzaku tells him, demotivating the brown haired Britannian.
"You don't say." Thomas says a little demotivated.
Suzaku chuckles softly. "But, compared to the other test pilots, you are already doing better than others."
Thomas suddenly gets motivated again. "You don't say."
"I'm serious, all the others scored around 70 or 75 percent. Honestly you have a shot at piloting the Vincent Arm. Hey, it might even be yours someday." Suzaku praised the soldier, making Thomas flushed a little.
"You flatter me, my lord." Thomas says. Suzaku giving a light tap on Thomas on shoulder.
"Just call me Suzaku." Suzaku tells him. "We are gonna be working together more often from now on."
"Uhh, right, of course, Suzaku." Thomas says a little awkward.
"That's better, I feel a lot better since you are older than me." Suzaku says.
"I know, kinda weird being under someone who is younger then me." Thomas says. Well who wouldn't be awkward, when their superior is actually younger then them.
Suzaku also let's a awkward chuckle. "Yeah, we're now in a world where young people like us, are now in charge of armies and nations."
Thomas nodded in agreement. "Well the world is a funny place."
Suzaku was silent for a moment, remembering a time when he was still the Knight of Seven. Suzaku then remembered two boys, one was a blonde Britannian boy and the other was fair brown skinned honorary Britannian. Thinking back to a time, where he had good comrades during his time as the Knight of seven. While he hates his past as the Knight of Seven, there were at least some good times.
Suzaku smiled. "Thomas, thank you." Suzaku thanked. Confusing the new Knight
"Uhh, for what?" Thomas asked.
Suzaku snap back at that moment. "Oh sorry, I was lost in thought for a moment." Suzaku tells him flustered.
Thomas still confused, but immediately shrugs it off. "Don't sweat it." Thomas offered a wide smile.
Suddenly the alarm turned on, as all the pilots in the hanger then started rushing to their Knightmares. "All forces, to your stations, we're now approaching Offenburg. I repeat all forces to your stations."
"Well, probably should be going now." Thomas says, getting out of the Lancelot's.
"Good luck, Thomas." Suzaku tells him.
"Aye, chief." Thomas says, getting out and rushing to the Vincent Arm.
Closing the the entrance to the cockpit behind him. Suzaku inserts the key of the Lancelot Albion, activating the Knightmare's systems. As he prepares the Lancelot for take off, the elevator, lifts the Lancelot up to the Catapult deck. Once inside the catapult deck, Suzaku had a clear view of the German city.
Suzaku took a deep breath as he takes his controls. His earlier conversation with Thomas had made Suzaku, remember a certain blonde boy, that he had once let down."I hope you're doing well, Schnee."
A/N
Unfortunately we have no Lelouch for this chapter. I know, disapointing, but hey at least we got to see the other Knights of the Round, and their Knightmares.
Look, naming the Knightmares were a tough decision ok. I chose Bedivere for Elijah, because I recently Watched Fate grand order, let's just say I fell in love with Bedivere. Man's loyalty can surpasses Jeremiah's. That's saying something.
Mama Bear... Look, as I said before, This was inspired by His Britannia and I made this fic, because every other CG Fic of Lelouch taking over the world has Suzaku not on his side. So I didn't exactly have a General plan for this fic. So yes, Margaret is basically Peter Thomson, except a woman and is married. At least the name matches her, like she is mother and she loves her kids. So Mama Bear for the win.
For now, the Percival will remain as the Percival. Yes, so George is what's basically Luciano's long lost brother. Except he is more sane. Though that's a low bar. He does bloodthirsty tendencies, but he keeps it mostly to himself. But his team is a while other story. They are essentially George's version of the Valkyrie squadron, except they are the Four Horsemen squadron, or better known as the Apocalypse squadron. I only hope that I do good job with writing these Psycho's.
We won't be seeing C.C. for few chapters, since I want to show the different POV's of the other characters of the aftermath of Strasbourg. But rest assured she will return, and we will have even more Lelouch and C.C.
Benio has been introduced to the story, which means only one more character from Lancelot and Guren manga is left. Schnee will make his appearance soon, rest assured.
Until then,
Peace
