Harry sat at a small table in the corner of the inn, sat anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Weasley Family. He'd remained here for over 20 minutes after finishing his food, contemplating who and how to tell about what he knew about Voldermort's plans. Hermione would probably cause too many issues, immediately flocking over to Dumbledore and not leave until the whole castle was put on lockdown, whilst Ron would prove little help to answer his worries or reassure him, instead opting to charge head on. For someone with so much strategy in quidditch and chess, he shure lacked the ability to plan in more pivotal situations where his planning would be better used instead.

The fireplace in the pub roared a ferocious green, followed by a cautious, red headed witch stepping out of it, followed by her son with a similarly vibrant head of hair. Harry deduced that Mrs Weasley had decided to bring Ron along to make Harry more comfortable, but left the rest of her children at home, as to not cause as much of an inconvenience to everyone who was trying to enjoy a nice quiet meal.

Harry stood up almost instantly, and practically sprinted over to embrace his best friend. Ron initially seemed shocked and surprised at his normally reserved friends sudden show of friendship, but quickly returned the gesture. Once Ron had let go, Mrs Weasley embraced Harry in what could only be described as attempted murder, by way of squeezing him so tight that all of his internal organs would make their way up and out of his body. Letting go of the boy, she nodded towards the fireplace and forced a bag of floo powder into Harry's hand, giving him a strong lecture on the importance of

"correct pronunciation". to which Ron promptly reminder him of the "Diagonally" incident from his second year.

Harry thanked Mrs Weasley for the reminder, then grabbed a handful of the powder, before stepping into the firepit, and clearly announcing "The Burrow" and disappearing in a flash of green that rivalled the colour of his eyes.

The atmosphere almost instantly changed. One moment he stood on solid ground, embraced by the warmth of the fire listening to nothing but the crackle of the fire, and the next he was sprawled out on a carpeted floor, a cacophony of noise coming from all directions, and a distinct feel of homeliness he only ever got from the burrow and hogwarts. This had led him to assume he was in the burrow, but his vision seemed to fail him, due to the lack of his glasses from his face that must have fallen off when he hit the floor.

Harry mustered up the strength to push himself up off the floor, standing upright, he again realised that he still didn't have his glasses on, although Hermione quickly solved this for him, placing the rims back onto his face. Taking in the scene, he saw the distinct faces and hair of the wizarding family he'd became an honorary part of. Hermione stood Infront of him looking concerned for Harry. Mr Weasley stood not far behind, a similar look of concern on his face. At the back of the room, Ginny and the twins stood doubled over in laughter at the comical method that Harry had entered into their house.

Saving Harry from any more ridicule and embarrassment, the fire roared in another vibrant flash of green, closely followed by the sudden appearance of the youngest of the Weasley boys, shortly joined by the matriarch of the family.

Mrs Weasley quickly made her way through the room towards Harry, ensuring he'd made it safely, before immediately starting questioning how he'd been eating and looking after himself whilst he'd been staying at the Dursleys.

Harry looked around again, properly this time, and saw 2 more Weasley children that he didn't recognise, which he immediately gathered must have been Bill and Charlie, the 2 sons that had already finished hogwarts by the time he had gottem there.

Charlie, the one who Ron said had been working in Romania with dragons, extended out a hand towards Harry, who quickly returned the gesture in the friendly greeting. Despite his description as the second best Griffindor seeker ever, he had a slightly atypical build for the position, having the shorter height, but being significantly more bulkier than the typical seeker build.

Bill followed suit with his own handshake. Bill was clearly the most rebellious in terms of appearance, and almost definitely had set the standards for the twins rule breaking. His hair was tied back into a long ponytail, and was wearing a fang for an earring.

Ron quickly entered into the room in order to whisk Harry away upstairs to his room under the pretence of "showing him where he would be sleeping" but Harry knew that Ron wanted, or was being forced by Hermione, to have a conversation about what had happened at the end of last year, and the very little updates he'd been providing over the holidays.

On the way up the stairs to convene with Hermione, they were intercepted by a very annoyed Percy.

"Hi, Percy" Harry had said, assuming him to be welcoming him into the house.

"Oh, hello," came the response, "Would you mind keeping the noise down in future, I'll let you off because your new here, but I've got some rather important work to be doing that cannot be done with people thundering around outside."

"What are you working on?" Harry replied, feigning faint interest in order to appear at least somewhat like he wanted to be there.

"aa report for the Department of International Magical Co-operation," Percy replied, sounding as though Harry would be amazed at it, "We're trying to standardise cauldron thickness. Some of these foreign imports are just a shade to thin - leakages have been increasing at a rate of three percent a year -"

Ron decided to cut him off, exclaiming "Front page of the Daily Profit this will be Harry, doing God's work on these cauldron leaks."

Using this excuse to leave, Harry continued up the stairs towards Ron's room, as despite needing to be "shown where he'll be sleeping" he knew perfectly well considering the last time he had stayed here in second year.

Harry made his way into his room, assuming it would be empty, but rather walked in on Hermione and Ginny deep in conversation about how they would be spending the next day before they went to the world cup. Hermione had arrived a little before Harry, due to "light traffic" as he'd heard Ron say, clearly not understanding the ideas of cars and traffic jams, as he commented "Can't they just all drive at the same speed, doesn't matter how many there are."

Hermione embraced him almost before he'd made it through the door, immediately questioning him on the state of his homework.

"Hermione, I've done it, I promise" Harry replied, ready to be quizzed on every last letter he'd put down on the page.

"Are you sure? Is the potions essay long enough? I was an inch short on my first try. What about transfiguration, have you done that?" she replied, clearly skeptical about Harry's miraculous academic transformation.

"Ron's done if it, I checked a minute ago, he's not even unpacked from Hogwarts - "

Hermione was interrupted by Ron, who quickly jumped in with "What's the point unpacking, I'm going back in a few weeks, and I can do the homework at school, I work better that way."

Harry and Hermione both shot a look at each other, acknowledging the effort that they were going to have to go through just to get Ron to do any of the homework.

Ginny was the first to say anything after Ron's interruption, asking "How was your summer then Harry, you've not told anyone very much besides that you'd made a start with your Homework on the first day back."

"It was alright, I threatened my Uncle with Sirius so I could keep my school supplies, so I've spent a lot of the time preparing for next year." Harry replied, keeping his answer lengthy, but devoid of any real details to give anything away.

Hermione quickly responded, "How did you get your books already, they only gave out the list today, and I doubt you were even able to get to London living with your relatives."

Harry, in an attempt to cover up his change of subjects, gave the half-hearted answer of "I asked McGonagall at the end of the year, knew I should be productive this summer, then just talk the nightbus to the Alley, wasn't even noticed that I left the house ".

Deciding to go help with dinner, the 4 youngest made their way downstairs into the kitchen, just in time for Mrs Weasley to try and pick up her wand, only for it to squeak and turn into a giant mouse.

Seeing her anger begening to build up, they decided to continue to outside, where they would be sitting to cater for all 11 of them.

Of course, the twins were not the only ones starting up some chaos. Outside, Bill and Charlie both stood with wanda out, forcing to tables to fight to the death above the garden, which resulted in a table leg being knocked off, and sent flying towards Percy's bedroom window. Everyone looked up the see Percy's head leaning out of the window on the second floor.

"Will you keep it down?" He bellowed out, clearing frustrated at the constant noise that he was living in.

"Sorry, Percy" gave a chorus of replies, clearly holding in laughter at his response.

Deciding enough was enough, both tables were quickly repaired then placed back down on the floor, before quickly conjuring table cloths out of the tip of his wand.

Throughout the dinner, Harry made very little effort to pay attention, instead choosing to enjoy Mrs Weasley expert cooking of pie, boiled potatoes and salad, which was leagues ahead of the stale cake that he had spent most of the summer living off of.

At the end of the table, Percy was telling his father all about the cauldron bottom report he has been working on.

"I've told Mr Crouch that I'll have it ready by Tuesday," Percy was saying pompously. "That's a bit sooner than be expected it. but I like to keep on top of things. I think he'll be grateful I've done it in good time. I mean, it's extremely busy with the Quidditch world cup, and the other thing that's going on."

Harry quickly nudged Ron to his left, asking "What is this 'other thing' Percy's on about?

Ron quickly replied "It involves hogwarts, thats all we know, him and Dad have been ridiculously secretive about it, you'd have thought that one of them would have slipped up by now, the amount they seem to talk about it, but none of us know, not for a lack of trying."

"Do you recon it's worth me having a shot at it?" Harry asked, "Your dad seems more relaxed, maybe I'll tell him the exact function of a rubber duck first to loosen him up and try and get him to spill."

The rest of the dinner carried on as expected with only a few comment from Mrs Weasley about "the horrible gray fang" that was hanging from Bills ear, as well as his "silly hair". Mrs Weasley clearly wasn't supportive of how Bill had returned from work looking, and was desperate to make a last impact on him before he left into the adult world.

Everyone else was actively engaged in conversation to do with the world cup. Everyone seemed to be in favour of Ireland, although Fred had speculated as to how good Krum might be for the Bulgarian team. Harry had been disappointed to learn the rest of the UKs attempt in the cup.

His thoughts were quickly dismissed by Mrs Weasley sending them off for an early bed, ready for an early get up in order to get to the game the next morning. Harry informed Mrs Weasley that he'd already bought his school supplies whilst he was staying in Diagon Alley, hoping it would save her a bit of time on her shopping, and save the confusion of finding him and Ron a different set of books.

AN: thank you for reading. I took a bit longer than I expected, I had very little ideas on what to actually say about this part of the story. It should pick up once we get to Hogwarts in the 4th chapter.
