I don't own Hazbin Hotel, nor anything from the SCP foundation.

"Reading"

this is a story that just popped into my head.

enjoy.

It was over.

The world was wabout to die in the flames of a red sun, melting every living being that dared to stand in it's light.

It all came so suddenly.

Even with all the precautions that could have been taken, one couldn't simply stop what was happening.

Why?

Because SCP 001, When day breaks came to be.

And it's dffect was stronger than everything enticipated.

The only things that were safe from it's wrath were the few that adapted fast enough.

(With SCP 049)

"Something isn't right. It feels like the Pestilence, but stronger...

Way stronger."

Looking out of his cell, he found complete darkness.

"How odd.

Normally there would at least be a few guards, but none at all?

I have to get out. Maybe i can still cure them."

With that he simply unhinged the Door.

"If they would put more money into the containment aspect of their work, they probably would have less to worry about containment breaches."

(Outside the cell)

049 was confused. The entire facility seems to be abandoned, but the fleshy sound of molten organic material said otherwise.

Carefully following them, his trusted bag in hand, he came across multiple other broken doors, some of them having pieces of flesh on them.

In the distance of the dark Hallway, 049 spotted moving masses, and his senses went haywire.

The pestilence

It felt like the mass was made out of it.

The gurgling speach of the bodies spoke of the outside, and that everyone should joyn them, but 049 could hear their screams of agony, and their begging.

It is almost nausiating to see so many suffer whilst he could do nothing but stand there.

"All of them are pleading for death...

For an end to their agony...

What am i doing, just standing here.

I have to do something.

I have never felt such a strong case of the Pestilence."

And so, he stepped closer to the mass, his hand streched out.

And when he touched the mass of flesh, it died and solidified back into the bodies they once were.

"I'm sorry I couldn't help you.

I have never dealt with such a strong case of the pestilence."

(Sometime later, site 19)

We find 049 near facility 23, where the Clockwork machine 914 is placed.

Why did he decide to go there, he himself didn't know

There was just something in the back of his mind telling him to go there.

"I think I have heard of this machine once."

The feeling intensified, like it was telling 049 to enter the room, to enter the machine.

The still somewhat confused doctor, not having a clear goal in mind, did what this feeling told him.

The doors closed and something pressed the button that activated the whole thing.

The setting?

Very Fine.

049 felt wierd, like everything organ inside his body got rearranged.

Cross that, It felt like every atom of his body got rearranged.

It was pain, and he defenetly doesn't want to experience it again. ever.

The machine opened, and a thick fog rolled out of it.

After that, the steps of boots could be heard, and 049 finally emerged.

"I feel like... it is the first time that I see.

like it is the first time that I breath.

like it is the first time that I stand."

Optically, nothing really changed, except for a darkening of it's mask-face and a slight blue-ish glow insid said masked eyes.

the thing that is truely interesting now isn't the change to his appearence, but the change to his capabilities.

He could feel that he can finally controll his deathly touch, and maybe do more than just turn it off and on.

aditionally, he felt like he has full controll over his bodily functions, his musculatur, nervs, bones and more reacting to his will.

(Somewhere outside site 19)

The red sun, SCP 001 stood high up in the sky, the world under it in total chaos.

this is, what 049 first saw when he got outside the site he was contained in previously.

The sun almost felt like it was glaring at him directly.

049 looked upon the world basically burning to the ground without him being able to do anything about it.

"Even with what new powers i have, i need a miracle to save what's left of this world."

with these thoughts, that feeling came again, like something was calling out to him.

(Back inside site 19)

Inside the dim hallways of the site, a lone figure was wandering in a trance like state.

the destination?

unknown, at least for it.

the closer the figure, 049 got to whatever was calling out to it, the stronger the thought of getting to said destination became.

after a few more minutes of wandering, he arrived at something.

he didn't know where he was, but whatever it was is being held inside a vault.

and yet again, something told him to open the door.

(Inside the vault)

049 stepped inside, and the first thing he noticed was some kind of machine?

some kind of device?

Whatever it was, the plague doctor almost wasn't able to keep the information inside his mind, almost as it tried to erase itself.

Thanks to the clockwork machine from earlier, that didn't instantly happen.

the room was roughly 5x5x2.5 meters.

As 049 approached whatever it was, he noticed something written on it.

It he couldn't fully comprehend what was written.

whatever was written spoke of the opposite of selfishness and the opposite of infecting.

the only other thing he noticed was a small monitor and keypad.

on it, there was something written that he didn't instantly forgot.

"To save this world, one must willingly sacrifice his own existance.

Please press enter to sacrifice your existance in this reality."

It was a beautiful day outside site 19.

Inside one of the many facilities, there was a man digitalizing the physical copies of the SCP entries of SCP 040 to SCP 050

there was a small problem, when he got to 049, because when he looked at it's file, it was completely empty.

"Where was I? Oh yes. SCP 050."

(Somewhere in another reality)

A masked individual in a plague doctor outfit was looking at a red sky Illuminated by a Pentagram.

The last thing the individual remembered was a screen.

"Thank you for your sacrifice. It will not be remembered."
