Chapter 47

Monday, SVU Manhattan 16th Precinct, Summer 2013

Although it had been difficult for both of them, they had agreed to spend the weekend at their respective homes. Olivia hoped they could both get some much needed rest, catch up on some sleep. As much as she loved her younger lover, she couldn't deny that he was a distraction, of the best kind, but still he was not the best company to have around if she wanted to get any work done, or to sit back and relax, and try to embrace the peace and quiet she could only find at home. He would fill the silence with intriguing conversation or else put his mouth to use in a different but equally distracting way.

Olivia went in to work early Monday, after their previously chaotic week. Fin and Munch had held down the fort for her while she was resting, but Dodd's had been sniffing around, asking too many questions about where she disappeared to last week, especially when two of her squad members had faced flying bullets, and only one had come out of the encounter unscathed.

Fin had reported that she had been feeling under the weather, he vouched that the hospital had come to the same diagnosis, and that a weekend at home, to rest and rehydrate was just what the doctor had ordered.

Still her two colleagues had kept her in the loop, not only on Dodds, but on their actual cases too. She had responded to any urgent messages, but now in her rapidly warming office on a summer morning, she was perusing her emails, playing catch-up on everything else she had missed.

Olivia hated the paperwork and politics, but a small part of her did appreciate how important she was to the department. It was one of the first times in her life that she had ever felt needed.

She sighed, and hummed happily as her hand landed on her growing abdomen. This little person would need her too, and all because of the way their Daddy had needed her.

Olivia shook her head slightly, no… Elliot had wanted her. Had chosen her. And as their relationship progressed, and they grew together, then he had needed her. But she was his choice, and that made her feel even more loved.

"Wow, haven't seen you look so happy and relaxed since I started here Cap, guess taking a few days off really works for yah?" Carisi spoke softly from her doorway, not wanting to spook her.

Olivia gave him a small smile, "Thank you Detective, and if I wasn't your boss, I would highly recommend it. Why are you in so early?"

Carisi chuckled as he entered her office, seeing her wave him in, "Well actually Cap, that's kinda a perfect segue for the reason I'm here. I was hoping to talk to you before shift started."

Olivia sat back in her chair, and laced her fingers together, placing them over her stomach, "What's up?"

Despite being their CO, Olivia had tried to maintain a certain level of a relationship with most of her colleagues. Cragen had always been a father figure to her, just as Fin was like the older brother she never had. And if Fin was her brother, then Munch was her quirky Uncle, annoying her with his rants and conspiracy theories, but she wouldn't replace him with anybody. Nick was like her work husband, especially when they were partners for over a decade. Along came Rollins and Carisi too, filling the void that having a little sister would have filled, and Carisi, their jovial, cannoli loving, Italian cousin who nobody knows quite how they're related to, but who shows up at every birthday party and holiday celebration.

As Olivia regarded him, she noticed he had never looked so nervous, a trait that she did not often associate with her work-cousin.

"Ummm, look this isn't easy to say, so I'm just gonna come out and say it…" Carisi paused, and Olivia swore his face was turning green. Suddenly a thought occurred to her, and she sat up straight, spitting it out just as he opened his mouth again.

"I'm leaving SVU."

"Is Amanda pregnant?"

They stared across her desk, as the others words sank in.

"Wait-you're what?"

"Amanda's not pregnant…"

They spoke again at the same time.

"You first," Olivia held up a hand, to indicate that he should speak.

Carisi furrowed his brows, and looked down at the floor, "I just wanna start by sayin' that I appreciate all the time, and resources you personally have put in to making me a better Detective but…" he finally looked up, and made eye contact with a woman he respected almost more than anyone else in his life.

"But as you know I was studying to be a lawyer, and I passed the bar a while ago. I didn't wanna leave SVU, so I put it off for a while, but the DA has offered me an entry level job, prosecuting SVU cases… Well assisting ADAs who prosecute SVU and other departments cases, I'll be working under Novak, and some new hot shot they've hired, think his name is Barba. Anyways I know this is a lot, and I'll be starting over from the bottom, but it's a move I'm excited to make. It'll bring new challenges, and hopefully new opportunities that will open new doors for me professionally and-"

"Personally so you and Rollins can finally date out in the open?" Olivia quirked an eyebrow, unable to keep the smirk off her face.

"Uhhhh…" Carisi trailed off, unsure if he was being reprimanded or not.

Olivia stood and walked around her desk, reaching forward she made no mistake as she gave Sonny a hug. She could feel his body trembling as she released him, and sat back against her desk.

"First allow me to say congratulations, I will sincerely miss you as my Detective, but I think this is a great step for your professional future, and you'll make a fantastic lawyer. And second, I'm not naïve enough to think that you didn't consider your personal future when you made this decision," Olivia continued.

"I've known you two separately, and I've watched you guys get together from afar, you're both amazing people, but you're even better together, I'm happy you're taking this road forward, together Carisi," Olivia smiled and patted his shoulder.

"Breathe Detective," Olivia chuckled, standing and walking back to her chair, "Or should I say Counsellor?"

Carisi took a deep breath, "Th-thanks Liv. We're at a point in our relationship that we don't want to hide anymore, and we'd like to move in together to be honest. Can't really have the same address on our files huh."

'Don't I know it,' Olivia thought. "That's great Sonny," she clapped her hands together, "So when can I expect the change to take place?"

She saw Carisi open his mouth to respond, but she beat him to it.

"The job title, not the-I mean congrats on moving too, but I meant when will you be leaving the department for the DA's office?"

"Oh," Olivia visibly saw the way his shoulders relaxed, "You have me until the end of July." Carisi reached into the messenger bag he had carried in with him, "Before I forget…"

Sonny handed her a few papers, the top one featured the words of his resignation.

"Well, we'll have to throw you a party sometime before then," she said, watching Carisi duck his head, as she nodded fondly and placed his papers on her desk.

"Meant what I said Liv, I've learned more from you in these last few years, than I did in all my years before them. I know you've only been my CO for less than 12 months, but you taught me more about partnership, and how to treat other's above and below your rank without being condescending, you have this natural grace, that I only hope I can one day achieve," Carisi muttered, somewhat embarrassingly.

"Don't let that office darken your heart Sonny Carisi, but more importantly don't let it take your soul. Remember who you're fighting for at the end of the day," Olivia smiled, knowing if anybody could go from cop to lawyer, it was Carisi.

"Thanks Liv, I'm gonna…" Carisi pointed behind him with his thumb.

Olivia nodded, she could feel the burning sensation behind her eyes that started before her tears would fall. God help her friends and colleagues, she had a feeling her hormones were going to wreak havoc on her mood. Not seeing Carisi every day would be hard, she didn't know how she was going to handle Elliot's departure.

Speaking of…

"Knock knock," Elliot said, standing where Carisi had been minutes before.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were off this week?" Olivia asked as she motioned for him to close the door.

"I am, but IAB has some questions, and Amaro and I need to file our paperwork and statements," Elliot walked slowly towards her desk.

"Hi," he smiled placing both hands on top of her desk, staring down at her.

Olivia couldn't stop her lips from turning upwards, "Hi."

She wasn't even sure why but she could feel a blush coating her cheeks. Here she was, a grown ass woman, a Captain in the NYPD no less, yet one word, hell sometimes just a look, had her blushing like a school girl, as the Captain of the football team smiled at her.

"Missed you this weekend," Elliot whispered.

"How's Baby B?" he inquired, just like he had multiple times each day over the past weekend.

"Misses you, if my queasy gut over the last couple days is any indication…"

"You know I would've snuck out if you wanted me-"

Olivia sighed heavily, "That's the problem though isn't it?"

"What's that?" Elliot asked, maneuvering around her desk.

"If we lived together you wouldn't have to sneak out to see me," Olivia huffed, not angry at him, but upset by their entire situation.

"Wouldn't have to sneak out if we disclosed either," Elliot looked around, making sure the coast was clear, before crouching down hidden from view by her desk, he placed both hands on her upper thighs.

Olivia's eyes nearly bugged out of her head, "Are you crazy? It's eight in the morning anyone could walk in here!"

Elliot chuckled placing his lips over her knee, "I love where your mind goes, but actually I was just here to do this…"

Elliot leaned forward and kissed her stomach through her blouse, "Good morning," he mumbled against her shirt.

Olivia tipped her head back and stared at the ceiling in her office, once again fighting back tears.

She rested her hand on Elliot's head as he spoke softly against her stomach, rubbing his ear back and forth with her thumb.

She felt Elliot move, standing to his full height after one more kiss to their growing baby.

"What's this?" he asked, tapping the papers Carisi had given her.

Olivia gave him a sad smile, she was really going to miss Sonny, "The end of a guy, and the beginning of a man."

"Hah sorry?" Elliot didn't understand what his girlfriend was saying.

"Carisi's next step in life. A step he is taking, a move he is making to probably better his, and Amanda's life, no matter the consequences…" Olivia trailed off as she glanced at the paper in question.

"Hmmm, wow, can't believe he's finally doing it, sucks for him, having to start again from the bottom," Elliot shrugged, as his phone dinged indicating a new message.

"For some people it's worth it," she muttered.

Olivia watched as he slipped his phone out of his pocket, "That's Nick, I gotta-" he tipped his head towards the bullpen. "Um I have some files and stuff for you too, but they're already waiting for me, I'll try to remember to drop them off later, they've been growing old in my locker since before I got shot."

"'Course, good luck, let me know if you guys need anything," Olivia waved him off, but she was unable to stop herself from keeping a close eye on her ex-partner, and her newest employee, she worried about both of them.

Olivia didn't enjoy her day, it was long, tedious, and filled with boring administrative work, the part of the job she had never been fond of.

Elliot has messaged her earlier, telling her he and Nick were hung up with their investigation, and could she fetch his paperwork from his locker.

It was just past 8 o'clock at night when she settled back in her office chair.

Dr. Warner would probably consider a 12-hour shift to be a long day, but Amanda had surprised her with takeout for dinner, and they had ended up talking for two hours.

Olivia appreciated the break from her headache induced boredom, but after Rollins' confessed to everything that everybody already knew, their conversation had somehow turned, to the more intimate details of her and Sonny's relationship. Olivia wasn't exactly shocked or surprised to hear they had crossed the line more than once in the precincts, but she had to feign surprise, as her relationship with Stabler was still under wraps, and unlike the couple who came to her today, her relationship seemed to be stalled.

She also couldn't reprimand either of them, when she knew her and Elliot had done much more, multiple times.

The conversation brightened her mood considerably, but also had a negative affect on her too. Hearing Amanda talk about their sexual escapades, had her either picturing her and Elliot in the same situation, or else provoked her into reliving some of her own.

The conversation inadvertently resulted in a very aroused Captain, damn her hormones. If they weren't making her cry, then they were increasing her libido, she should consider herself fortunate she wasn't having any insane food cravings yet. She had even turned on the A/C unit in her office to help her cool down.

Taking the thumb drive she had found in Elliot's locker with a post-it note with her name attached to it, she plugged the tiny device into her computer.

Olivia sat back in her chair as it loaded, and bit her lip. She was trying not to think about the things she and Elliot had done in that room.

The wall, the couch, over and under her desk. Olivia squeezed her thighs together, she could feel a warm tingling sensation in her lower abdomen, and a slickness between her folds.

Finally the USB stick loaded, revealing multiple files. There appeared to be a few documents, two copies of one file. One labeled personal, and the other professional. Olivia gasped as she realized what she was seeing.

Elliot had given her his resignation letter, both a personal and a professional one, as well as a transfer request form, and an updated emergency contact file.

Looking at the dates, she could tell he had written and filled out the electronic paperwork, before he'd taken those bullets last week.

"Hah," Olivia chuckled out loud, and swiped a few tears that had escaped down her cheek.

Clicking on the personal resignation letter, his words appeared on her screen.

Olivia almost moaned, he had written a letter explaining why he was resigning from SVU, and requesting a transfer to another unit.

Elliot had listed in detail, the reasons he wanted to leave, and although he recognized that he would be starting from the bottom in a new department again, that his relationship with her was more valuable than any job could ever be. He went on to say that he appreciated everything his colleagues from SVU had taught him, things that he would take with him to any new department, as well as lessons he would carry with him for the rest of his life. He was sorry to be leaving SVU, but by doing so he truly believed he would be moving forward, and taking steps to better his life, and the life of his girlfriend, forever. Lastly he thought if he didn't leave now he'd probably be fired in the near future because he had broken a vital rule in policing, he had fallen in love with his Captain, and there was no going back on those feelings.

"Well that's not the reaction I wanted to provoke," Elliot whispered as he closed her office door behind him.

Olivia stood from her desk, with tears streaming down her face she took a deep steadying breath, trying to rein in her emotions.

With one last shaky exhale, she quickly rounded her desk, walking fast she threw her body into Elliot's, trusting him to keep them both upright, she grasped his head in both hands, and crashed their lips together.

"Mmmm," Elliot moaned, catching her around the waist as they stumbled into the wall beside her door, the blinds rattling from their impact.

Elliot broke their kiss, "Damn that wasn't the reaction I had expected either if I'm being honest-"

Olivia grabbed the back of his head and pulled him towards her, she sucked his bottom lip, nipping softly, she let go, "Less talking, there are more important things you could be doing with that mouth of yours Stabler."

Elliot gulped loudly as she walked backwards, pulling him towards her desk.

"Liv?" he looked at her closed blinds, "Liv it's barely past 8, not that I'm objecting but isn't this a little risky, even for us?"

Olivia shook her head, "Don't care need you," she maneuvered them until he was standing behind her as they both faced the large table in the room.

Reaching down she tugged on her belt as she began to bend over her desk.

"God damn Benson," Elliot placed his hands over hers, stilling them in his grasp, "Are you-are you horny Captain?"

Olivia whimpered, moving around the little space she had she was able wriggle out of her pants, "El fuck, please don't tease me right now."

The day had kept building on her, from the way he knelt at her feet in the morning, to her girl talk with Rollins, the final straw was his resignation letter, she wouldn't make it home in the state she was in.

"Shhh, I got you," Elliot whispered kissing the side of her head. He stepped forward, letting her feel his chest against her back, "But not like this."

"You don't want me?" Olivia questioned, clearly not thinking straight.

Elliot chuckled darkly, and thrust his hips against her ass, "You know I do, I just meant we can't do it this way, it's too hard for your stomach against this desk, and as much as we both want it, I'd go too far… too deep."

They both moaned, as their bodies prepared for the very thing they knew they couldn't do.

"Come 'ere," Elliot demanded, spinning her around until she was a foot from her chair. He dropped to his knees again just like that morning, except this time he yanked off her pants.

"El?" she asked, but he pressed her back until her bare ass hit her chair.

"Much better, now let me put my mouth to work, like you pointed out a few minutes ago!" Elliot exclaimed kneeling on the floor between her legs. Not quite satisfied he lifted each leg onto the armrest of her chair, once again loving how flexible his girlfriend was. He shoved her discarded shoes and pants under her desk, and glanced at the beautiful view in front of him.

They were both breathing deeply as he assessed his gorgeous girlfriend. Her chest was straining against the buttons on her blouse, and as much as he wished he had taken the time to rid her of the clothes on her upper body, his mind was too preoccupied with her bottom half. With the position he had put her in, she was spread wide open. He could make out every nook and cranny, her core was glistening from her juices.

Elliot placed his hands on her inner thighs, massaging them softly, he dove in, swiping his tongue from her perineum all the way up to her engorged clit.

"Yessss," he heard her hiss in pleasure.

"Oh yes, yes, yes,-" she repeated over and over.

"Benson can I come in?" Elliot heard from behind her closed door as well as a series of knocks.

"Yesssss," Olivia chanted in ecstasy, only opening her eyes and slipping back down in her chair as Elliot scrambled underneath her desk.

"Hey Liv hows it going?" Tucker asked as he entered her office, noticing her disheveled appearance.

Olivia was so stunned by the sudden turn in events that it took Elliot pinching her leg for her to respond.

"I-uhhh, hi, hey-I mean um good, things are good, and ho-how are you?" she stuttered, fully aware that if he were looking at her from any other angle, he'd most likely see that she was wearing nothing below her belt.

Olivia tried to concentrate on the man sitting in the chair in front of her desk, not the one sitting underneath it. She recalled another time Elliot hid under her desk and she had an unwanted visitor, she believed Fin had been the culprit then.

Evidently the presence of another person was still not a deterrent for her younger lover as he spread her knees apart.

"You okay Liv?" Tucker inquired, noticing her quick breath, and flushed face.

"Me, yeah-yep, good, I'm fine-sorry you were saying?" she huffed, trying to stay in the moment.

"I asked you how Elliot was making out?"

"Oh yessss," Olivia practically purred, at the same moment Tucker asked that, Elliot had sucked one of her folds into his mouth, while his tongue stroked along the smooth silky skin beside her pulsating clit.

Olivia reached down and cupped the back of his head, she ran her fingers through his hair, and scratched his scalp, holding him against her.

"He's good he's so good, ahhh," she exclaimed when he bit her inner thigh, "He's great, he's he is absolutely fantastic." She knew Elliot was pleased with her response when he reattached his mouth to her weeping core, finally probing her entrance with his firm tongue.

"So you've spoken to him since the incident?" Tucker continued his line of question, seeming to dismiss Olivia's somewhat odd behaviour in favour of getting information on his Godson.

"I most certainly have, and pending a doctor's signature, I think he'll be more than fit for duty when the time comes, judging from his current physical abilities…" she trailed off and bit her lip to keep from screaming.

Unbeknownst to Tucker his Godson was currently demonstrating another type of physical ability as he simultaneously thrust two thick fingers into her clenching pussy, while he sucked on her clit, thrumming the small bud off to one side just the way she liked it.

"That's good, I gotta admit I rest a little easier at night knowing he's working under you, that he has you to learn from, and to guide him," Tucker smiled warmly as he stood up and walked towards her door.

"Thanks again Benson, if you hear anything different-"

Olivia cut him off in an effort to get him out of her office, "Not a problem."

Tucker paused at her door, "I know I got pretty drunk the night we went to the Governor's mansion, any chance of getting a redo date?"

Olivia refrained from rolling her eyes, but she nearly jumped from her chair as she felt another bite on her opposite thigh.

"Nu-no I'm sorry, I'm sorry," she replied as she rubbed comforting circles on the back of Elliot's head, "But I think with all things considered that we should keep our relationship strictly business from now on."

Tucker smiled sadly but nodded, "Yeah guess it'd be kinda awkward if my Godson ever dropped by and saw you walking around my apartment half naked, only wearing my shirt."

"That's a very specific scenario…"

Tucker shrugged, "Call it a dream."

"Well I'm sorry but that's going to stay a dream, besides I was thinking more along the lines of how awkward it'd be when we'd break up and I'd still be you Godson's CO-"

"Gotcha, just colleagues then, for what it's worth Benson… you deserve the best, I hope you get your happy ending," Tucker declared as he closed her office door behind him.

"God damnit!" Olivia bit her hand, as the other one clung to her boyfriend's neck. She felt her body spasm in her office chair, as Elliot sucked harder on her buzzing bundle of nerves.

His fingers remained as deep as they could go, as her walls clenched around them, her warm wet heat coating his digits as she succumbed to her orgasm at the hands of her Detective.

"I swear you were trying to blow our cover," Olivia mumbled, panting in her chair, as her head rested on the high back, lolling from side to side.

Elliot chuckled and using his mouth, he proceeded to lick her clean, being careful to slowly remove his fingers, and to stay away from her overly sensitive clit.

He started from her post-orgasmic gaping hole, which he was eager to fill with his hard cock. He probed her entrance, swiped his tongue along her folds, and the crease between her thighs. She had been wet before he even started, and her skin was shining everywhere from her arousal.

Satisfied that he hadn't missed a drop, he hummed, "My Godfather was right, you did get a happy ending."

Olivia chuckled, and removed her arm from where she had been covering her eyes with it. Glancing down her watery gaze connected with his.

"Your Godfather was right about a few things, you do work well under me, and I have taught you, and guided you, he just meant it in a different way…"

Elliot grabbed onto the armrests on her chair and slowly pulled himself up, pausing to kiss her stomach, "I hope you slept through that," he commented to their baby. He paused again at her heaving breasts, "I don't think there's a chance Tucker didn't notice these," he indicated by kissing each of her hard nipples, that were clearly visible through her blouse. "Thank God you have you're A/C jacked up!"

He smoothed his hand under her chin, to thread his fingers through her hair, and wrap around the back of her neck.

He kissed her softly, one, two, three times, knowing she could taste herself on his lips.

Elliot felt her cup him through his slacks, "What about you?" she asked against his parted lips.

Elliot tried to clear his thick throat, "I'm… great," he paused, giving her a small knowing smirk, "And as much as I still wanna bend you over your desk, we've already almost got caught once tonight."

Olivia reached down to grab her heeled boots, and pants, standing to redress, "So you want to move this to someplace more private?"

Elliot opened his mouth to respond, just as the phone on her desk began to ring.

"Ughhh please not another case tonight," she prayed, as she tugged up her pants, leaving her ruined underwear on her chair. "Can you hit speaker for me?" she tipped her head towards her phone.

"Benson," she answered, while continuing to fix her clothes.

"Hi Captain Benson, I'm so happy I caught you, this is Dr. Singh I performed your mandatory department physical on you a couple weeks ago."

"Of course, sorry things have been so hectic since then, was there a problem?"

"Well yes and no, your physical was perfectly fine but the routine bloodwork we did showed us something unexpected. I'm not sure how to say this but judging by your blood work, you're a few months pregnant Captain, all those prolonged flu symptoms must have been the early months of pregnancy."

Elliot and Olivia stared at one another, and tried to fight their grins, "Thank you for letting me know doctor, I was recently made aware of this myself, and have an appointment set up with an OB/GYN, for help with the rest of my pregnancy."

"That's great news Captain, I recommend disclosing to your boss soon too."

"That's the plan."

"Congratulations then Captain, all the best."

Olivia cut the call, and together they broke out laughing. Figures the department physical would be the last to inform them of her results.

"You wanna rush out of here, or do you have a few minutes to talk about what's on the USB stick?" Elliot inquired, not shying away from the hurdles in front of them. Ironically, he realized in that moment, she was the reason he had the confidence now to have these hard conversations, and not run from them.

'No,' he thought, if he had anything to say about it both their days of running were over.

A/N: Apologize for the…well whatever this was, I wrote most of it heavilyyyyyyy medicated. Any comments/reviews are appreciated, always.
