(Humming as I type) Okay, just a few modifications here and a few changes there… (sees the camera on) Oh, hey guys. Don't mind me. I'm just finishing up on this latest chapter for Rowan's adventures. (Typing noises) Done. So, notes first: One, Adam will not be morphing until later in the series for a bit of context. I may have an original episode based around Rowan for that, so feel free to come up with ideas. Two, the show canon may not do a Ranger team up, but I definitely will. Again, that'll come later, so also again, feel free to make suggestions for it. Three, yes, Rowan's secret will be blown soon enough. Trust me, she'll get close a few times, but for plot convenience, she'll have her secret safe. Also, she may tend to speak in Spanish sometimes due to being half Spanish, so don't worry. Four, and this is very important: This is through Rowan's point of view, so any parts I skipped out are because she (or I, being the storyteller) had something else in mind. I know it sounds cheesy, but there's always a method to the madness. For now though, onward to "Sporix Unleashed"! (Shoots the Disclaimers out)

Disclaimer: I don't own Power Rangers, as it is owned by Hasbro as of May 1, 2018.

Over the next couple of days at Dinohenge, I helped Zayto train Ollie and Amelia on how to use their Morphers. Mostly I called on what knowledge I had of Dad using his Morpher and the poses, but I was going on pure dumb luck with my first morph, so I let Zayto teach us how to do the morph on this one for a little bit.

Suffice it to say, Ollie and Amelia were goofing up every which way you looked. At the very beginning, they couldn't even pose properly. But I admit I wasn't the best either. It took me like half a dozen tries just to get it right. But when I got it down pat, I helped out my fearless leader to teach my new friends.

The morphing training today was better than the first two days. Amelia only knocked into Zayto once during the initial Morpher activation pose to which she apologized quickly: "Sorry! I keep doing that!"

Thankfully, Zayto was understanding. "Let's go again. We need to get the morphing sequence right. We can't afford mistakes."

When we tried it again, Ollie flipped his Key out of his hand and I had to catch it as I glanced at him.

"I was just testing your reflexes." He tried to cover up quickly.

"Mhm, yeah. Sure." I rolled my eyes a bit as I tossed Ollie his Key back. "One more go, guys. We almost got it."

The third time around, we got it in perfect sync as we morphed together and posed accordingly. "Dino Fury Power!"

We relaxed our poses as Ollie asked the question that had been bugging me as well: "So seven statues, but only four of us?"

"Do you have the other Dino Fury Keys? Can we recruit more Rangers?" Amelia excitedly wondered.

I looked up at the statues as Zayto explained to both of them: "The other Keys were lost with the other Rangers, so it's just us."

I made a face before looking at Ollie and Amelia reassuringly. "Don't worry, guys. Some of the best Ranger teams started out with only three members. Besides, I got a good feeling we'll find those other Keys some day." I knew what I was talking about, considering that my Pai Zhuq master had told me some stories from his time as a Ranger. I knew Master Casey was a tough tiger, but even he had struggled as a Ranger since he was only a cub when he started out.

"Let's move on to Boost Keys. We have many." Zayto redirected the conversation once again. "Each one gives us a special ability."

I nodded. "Think of some of the other Ranger boosters you've probably seen: The Ninja Power Stars, the Legendary Ranger Keys. The Boost Keys work in a similar way." I had studied with Zayto before about the Keys before training with the group due to being his second in command, but it still never failed to impress me on how much everything came close to similar to each other.

"They're kinda like power ups in a video game?" Ollie also stated.

"Love it!" Amelia was getting more and more excited by the minute.

Suddenly, Zayto's morpher beeped as he answered it. "Go ahead, Solon."

"There's something you need to see." Solon informed him, a concerned tone in her voice from what I could tell.

Zayto nodded. "We're on our way."

I couldn't help but think about the dynamics since joining the team as I listened to them. Since I had been around the base more often, I came to view the team as more of the family I wish I had. Zayto was the knowledgeable yet quirky older brother type, Solon was more of a motherly figure (someone who I kinda needed, I won't lie), Ollie was definitely the pain in la cabeza know-it-all brother type to me, while Amelia fell into the excitedly goofy sister role who was into odd things. I had more of the mediator, middle sister type of personality, especially when stopping Ollie and Amelia from butting heads about paranormal stuff.

We demorphed as Zayto reminded us, "Remember: To teleport, you turn the ring, then push the button." He did so as a demonstration.

I smiled at the two and followed Zayto's lead, teleporting down to the base with no ill effects from it as the others followed a few seconds later, Amelia unnerved by it. "Gotta get used to that." She looked at Ollie who was… kinda green in the face. "Make you weak in the knees too?"

"No, just… really nauseous." He responded while rubbing his stomach.

I laughed slightly. "Hey, it was something common for the Rangers of the past. Don't beat yourself up over it." I had dealt with a form of Ranger transportation only once or twice before, so about the third time around wasn't really a problem anymore.

"I've got our defense systems back online." Solon told us, interrupting any further conversation. "No one can get into the base but us. And I put the T-Rex Champion Zord on standby."

I looked at the schematics for the Zord curiously. It almost seemed like it was kind of a Lego creation with the way its body could change up.

"Rowan, I have your Zord on standby as well." Solon told me, showing the schematics for my Zord. "The Dragon Shogun Zord will be ready for battle when you need it."

I smiled in amazement. "Wow, my own Zord." I couldn't believe it. I knew Dr. O had a Dragon Zord, but it was never able to change into a battle formation without the Mastodon Zord, Sabertooth Tiger Zord, or Triceratops Zord. My Zord was gonna be able to fight alongside the other Megazords in a battle formation! Outside, I kept an excited grin on my face, but inside I was jumping for joy and squealing like a schoolgirl.

"T-Rex Champion? Dragon Shogun? That sounds awesome!" Amelia smiled at us. "Who named these Zords?"

I wrinkled my nose, clearing my throat at the… awkward question. "Anyway, Solon. Please continue."

"Thank you, Rowan." Solon spoke gratefully in my direction. "As I was cleaning up, I found this." She held up the weird scanner thing I had seen Void Knight use.

"Hey, that's Void Knight's scanner." Ollie took it into his hands. "He must have dropped it."

"He used it to find the Sporix." Amelia spoke thoughtfully before looking at Solon. "Do you think he'll come back for it?"

"Void Knight will have to wait." Zayto told her. "Right now, the Sporix are loose and we need to warn people."

"I agree." Solon was on Zayto's side.

I thought over how we were gonna warn others before snapping my fingers upon getting an idea. "My dad has had similar incidents before with other aliens. Maybe if I can ask him to contact one of his allies in the city, we can get the word out faster." Sure, it was a big risk to exposing my legacy to the others, but it would help in the long run. Although my pride blush came back from my explanation... I really needed to get a handle on that...

Ollie had a different idea in the meantime as Amelia stated how she was gonna help before trailing off and looking at our Blue Ranger.

"If we find all the Sporix, there won't be any danger." He smiled at us before explaining his theory. "If we combine the scanner with the drone..."

I looked at Ollie as well, knowing what he was thinking. "Ollie, don't you even dare think about it. We do not need to bring civilians like your mom into the fight." Too many civilians had been hurt when they were fighting Andromeda's army and they even got hurt during the Legendary Battle. I wasn't letting anyone else get hurt because of it.

Even Solon agreed on one point. "Combining a strange alien device with human technology could be dangerous."

"I think you - " Ollie started to speak, but I held up a hand to stop him. "Save it, Ollie Akana. Either you work with us to collect the Sporix our way and warn civilians or endanger your mother and the world with her." My expression at the moment was in a 'do not push your luck' state, as I knew the cost of bringing in someone inexperienced to the fight. My dad was another story altogether.

Zayto looked at me curiously. "You mentioned your father had experience handling alien threats before. What does that mean, Rowan?"

I blinked as I looked at Zayto and Solon, my face turning pale as I realized what I had said prior and looking over to see Ollie and Amelia giving me the same curious expression. "I... uh... ah, no comprendo! Adios!" I teleported out of the base quickly, barely escaping the team before landing behind a tree near Warden Garcia's office, panting heavily. "Oh man, that was close." I was definitely gonna have to watch what I said in the future.

I heard a couple of voices coming from the building and looked over to see my dad talking with Warden Garcia and Mrs. Akana, getting a good feeling. 'Perfect. I can warn all of them.' I started heading over before stopping myself. "Hold on, Rowan. You know how close-minded Warden Garcia is. He's worse than Ollie. Dios mio... I'll warn Dad and Ms. Lani. They'll understand better."

I went to the adults and looked at Warden Garcia. "Excuse me, Warden Garcia. Can I talk with the other two for a moment please?" I gave my dad a meaningful sideways glance, one that he knew as a Ranger signal.

Dad and Lani quickly joined me at the side before he looked at me. "Rowan, please tell me you aren't in trouble."

I sighed a bit. "No, don't worry. I'm fine. I'll tell you more later, but right now this is important stuff." I explained to them about meeting Zayto and Solon and hearing their side of things, the story behind the Sporix and how dangerous they were, and the mystery behind Void Knight, but I never mentioned anything about Zayto's age, his past, or his true nature and no way in el infierno did I mention about me, Ollie, and Amelia becoming Rangers or that Zayto was our Red leader. Those were things I planned on telling Dad later.

Dad nodded a bit and sighed. "Well, can't say I didn't expect you to get caught up in Power Ranger phenomena. But I wish you would have been a little more cautious about it."

Lani looked at me. "Where is Ollie?"

I went to explain it, but Ollie came up at that moment and pulled his mom to the side, starting to detail his plan with the scanner as I looked on in disgust. "Ugh, dios mio, that idiot is gonna get us all killed."

Dad listened to Ollie and thought for a moment before he looked at me. "I'll stay with Mrs. Akana to keep her safe."

I looked at him in surprise. "Dad, y... you sure?" He was out of practice with his Ranger powers, so naturally I was a little worried about him.

He smiled and nodded, patting my shoulder. "Don't worry. I'll be fine."

I hesitated before I nodded to him. "Okay, papì. Be careful." I patted his arm gently before I watched him go to Ollie and Lani, speaking with them as I bit my lip. I wasn't sure if we'd get lucky with Ollie's plan, but deep inside I was hoping so.

I decided to teleport to the dam to get some practice in with my martial arts, turning on my music and starting to practice, breathing slow and steady to compensate for my mind going a thousand miles an hour at the moment. As I trained, I remembered some words Master Casey taught me that were from his friend Theo, yet they were very wise in retrospect: "To trust in yourself is one thing that can lead to a small difference, but to trust in others leads to a big impact for better or worse."

Suddenly I heard a shout and pulled out my earbuds, spinning around to see a Sporix cell hatch into a mushroom like Beast as it chased away a civilian. "I'm gonna get you!"

"Not on my watch!" I put my earbuds away and rushed into action, kicking the new Beast upside her head and knocking her back before I landed on the ground.

The Beast stumbled forward and looked at me. "Whoa! Watch the kicks, girly! Those are painful!"

"Not as painful as my fist upside your face will be!" I warned her before charging in again, trying to punch and kick Mucus, emphasizing the word "trying" because she was moving around me like it was a game.

"You're a fun playmate!" She giggled as she headbutted me back.

I rolled backwards and flipped to my feet, retaking my battle stance before I heard the unmistakable sound of teleporting and saw the others by my side. "Hey, good timing! She's a tough little snotball of a Sporix, I tell you."

"For real? That's a Sporix Beast?" Ollie sounded confused.

"Yeah! Who's gonna stop me from tearing the city apart?" Mucus shouted brightly.

"How about all four of us, you slime brain?" I pointed out the obvious.

Zayto quickly took charge of me, Ollie, and Amelia. "It's Morphin' Time!"

Together, we did our Morphers sequence, activating our Morphers first before readying our Keys. "Dino Fury Key!" We took our ready stance, Zayto looking at us and seeing that we were in perfect synced poses. "Smooth."

After a shared smile, we kept going. "Activate!" We plugged our Keys in and held our left wrists up, the wrists that held our Morphers. "Link to Morphin' Grid!" We spun the silver helmet piece on the Morphers into place and felt the power rushing in to change us again. (A/N: For the morphing sequence, imagine Rowan taking a Dragon Kung Fu style pose after she punches the ground with an energy dragon behind her and her face being in her serious mode as her suit forms.)

As soon as we gained our suits, we did our roll call, Zayto and I leading off as Ollie and Amelia followed our lead:

"T-Rex Fury! Red Ranger!"

"Dragon Fury! Yellow Ranger!"

"Tricera Fury! Blue Ranger!"

"Ankylo Fury! Pink Ranger!"

We swung our swords and did final positions. "Dino Fury Power!"

"Well done, everyone! I love the colors, now here comes the pain!" She charged at us, but one swift slash from my blade turned her into a... mucus puddle. Gross.

We were all confused by that point, me especially. "Huh. I don't remember it being that easy."

Amelia looked at me. "Maybe she's just the distraction?"

Suddenly, a second Sporix Beast teleported in, confirming Amelia's surprisingly accurate theory.

"Yep, you called it, Amelia. Enter random Sporix Beast of the week." I got ready for a fight, as did the others.

"I'm the best one!" The Beast, clearly a he by his voice, shouted at us as we charged in and started fighting him. We tried to slash him, but he blocked every attack. "I warned you, I'm the best!"

"Toot your own horn much?" Ollie quipped, which got a snicker out of me before we had to block an attack from Shockhorn as Zayto pulled out a Boost Key and called to us, "Rangers! Remember those Boost Keys I mentioned?"

"Uh, yeah?" Ollie was confused, but I knew what it meant.

"I got a gassy feeling here." I quipped cautiously, and my quip was right on the money as Zayto unleashed the power of the Stink Boost, leaving Ollie and Amelia grossed out while I was going full Spanish lingo: "¡Oh, asqueroso! ¡Eso va a causar un infierno en mi nariz! ¡Dios bueno!" (A/N: Translation for those not fluent in Spanish: Oh, nasty! That's gonna cause hell in my nose! Good God!)

Even Shockhorn was gassed out. "It burns my nose!"

I looked at Shockhorn, nodding a bit. "You and me both!"

"Hengemen!" Shockhorn called the Hengemen to aid him as they landed in front of me.

I got to my feet and looked at the soldiers. "Look, guys. I don't wanna cause trouble here." I was forced to block an attack from one of them. "Guess the feeling ain't mutual." I started battling them with the others, noticing Shockhorn and Mucus teleport away out of the corner of my eye before we defeated the Hengemen.

"Somehow I got a feeling that Unicorn Head wasn't here by coincidence." I told Zayto before looking at Ollie. "Where's your mom right now?"

Ollie had good reason to look sheepish at that moment, even if he was wearing his helmet. "Uh..."

"Let's get to base." Zayto told us, getting the teleporter ready.

"You guys go on. I'm gonna go check up on my Dad." I told them worriedly as I got my own teleporter ready.

As the three teleported to the base, I teleported off to check on Lani and my dad, seeing him battling Void Knight despite his being out of the battlefield for some time.

"Should have figured Dad would've seen this coming." I flipped down to join him, slashing Shockhorn and Mucus back before I kicked Void Knight away from Dad.

Dad looked at me, obviously sensing the power of the Morphin' Grid and knowing I was in the suit, but he played it off smoothly like he had heard of me before as he smiled. "Yellow looks good on you, kid."

I nodded with a smirk before getting in a defensive stance as Void Knight and the Sporix Beasts grouped together.

"So a newbie and a washed up old man. This is gonna be fun." Void Knight said with a wicked chuckle that sent shivers down my spine, but I hid it well.

Quickly enough, the other Rangers rushed in and got some good shots in before grouping with me and Dad.

Dad looked at the team before he looked at me and whispered softly. "I'm guessing this is your new team, Ro?" He and I both knew Lani couldn't know the Ranger secret, and since I had told him that Ollie was a part of the team, he was willing to help me hide it from her.

I nodded subtly and whispered back, "Yep. I'll introduce you to them properly later." I turned and looked at Void with a smirk on my face. "Five against three. I'd say the odds are a little lopsided."

Void Knight scoffed. "We'll see about that!" The three villains charged at us as we ran forward, Dad teaming up with Zayto to handle Shockhorn, Ollie and Amelia fighting Mucus, and me against Void Knight.

"Nobody hijacks my tech." Lani went to her monitors and made the drone crash near Shockhorn, Dad getting Zayto and the rest of us out of the way before the drone exploded and sent Void Knight flying.

The five of us regrouped around Lani to protect her as Void Knight glared at us. "I won't forget this. Let's go!" He and Mucus teleported away.

We relaxed our stances and looked at Lani, Dad going to her quickly. "You alright?"

"I'm fine, thanks to you and the Rangers." Lani reassured him.

"But this means we won't be able to find the Sporix faster." I said sadly, feeling a little deflated. Ollie's plan almost worked and Lani was safe, but we didn't have the scanner or the drone anymore, thus we had to go back to searching manually.

"Either way, they might come back, so we need to get outta here." Dad told Lani calmly.

"Yes." Lani nodded before she looked at the rest of us. "Thank you all."

"You're welcome, ma'am." I responded calmly, hiding my voice behind a serene demeanor and watching as Dad lead her away.

Amelia walked up to me. "Wow, way to hide your identity."

I smiled at Amelia. "No biggie. Just years of practice." My prideful blush was back, but thank God I was still morphed.

Zayto came over. "Shockhorn could grow giant at any minute. Ollie, you and Amelia need to hold him back while Rowan and I activate our Zords."

I immediately jumped for joy. "Yes! Zord time!" I was eager to try out my Zord and it was definitely showing.

"So we might finally see a Zord?" Amelia was equally excited, but Ollie got her attention. "Let's go." The two teleported away as I teleported with Zayto into the base.

"Okay, Solon. Activate our Zords." Zayto told her quickly.

"Let's hope this works. Deploying T-Rex Champion and Dragon Shogun!" Solon got the Zords going as I saw the massive T-Rex Zord burst out from a mountain side, followed by the equally huge Dragon Shogun Zord and two smaller Zords that looked like cobras.

"Huh? I have two extra Zords?" I looked at them inquisitively.

Solon nodded to me. "Snakes did inhabit the world with the dinosaurs 65 million years ago, believe it or not."

"The Lizard Minizords are extra battle gear for the Warrior Mode of the Dragon Shogun Zord." Zayto confirmed casually.

I nodded with an impressed smile. "Cool."

Zayto and I immediately teleported to the city where we saw our Zords in action as we went to Ollie and Amelia, the latter of whom was excited. "Oh man! Finally, the Zords!"

"Now let's finish this Beast!" Zayto spoke to me.

I nodded and looked at Amelia. "This is the coolest part." I pulled out an extra Key from my belt and clicked it to active mode. "Dragon Shogun Zord, battle mode!" I launched my Key up and let my Zord become its battle mode before I teleported into the cockpit, looking around. "This is unbelievable!" I swung my Saber around and slid it into the podium. "Linked! Dragon Shogun Zord: Battle Mode, ready!" I drew my Saber out amd got ready. "Let's do this!"

Whatever actions I took, my Zord mimicked as I ran with the T-Rex Champion Zord and started battling Shockhorn. Suffice it to say, he wasn't standing a chance!

My Morpher beeped and I quickly answered it. "Go ahead, Zayto."

"Time to call on the Mega Fury Saber." He responded.

I nodded. "Okay. Let's go for it." I hung up and sheathed my Chromafury Saber in the pedestal before I held my hand up. "Mega Fury Saber!" I grabbed the massive spiked sword and held it readily, in sync with what Zayto was doing. "Dragon Shogun Zord, Mega Saber Blitzkrieg!" I slashed and the energy went to my Zord's weapons as it followed Zayto's Mega Bite with several slashes, injuring Shockhorn enough to make him explode. "Dino Fury Victory!"

Once I teleported back down, I saw the Sporix Cells flying down toward us. "I got it! I got it!" I went for the grab, but was blasted back by Void Knight as he claimed the Sporix Cell.

"Yes! That's one closer to my goal!" He sounded triumphant.

I got up as the others surrounded me protectively, glaring at Void Knight. "Whatever you're planning, you're not gonna be able to catch all the Sporix for it!" What I didn't realize was that some of my visor had broken slightly, allowing my eyes to be visible.

Void Knight looked at me and tilted his head. "Huh. Strange. I feel like I know you..."

Zayto looked at him. "What does that mean?"

Void Knight shook his head. "Nothing important!" He teleported away before the others could attack him.

I made a face at Void's comment. "What does that even mean?"

"I don't know, but whatever it is, it can't be good." Zayto said, just as worriedly.

We teleported back to the base and demorphed as Solon greeted us. "Welcome back. How did they all do, Zayto?"

Zayto smiled. "They fought well today."

Ollie still looked sad as he stepped forward. "Yeah, but I still messed up... and got my mom in danger. I should have stuck with the plan all of us agreed on. But..." He looked at me. "Rowan, I'm glad your father was there to help, or my mom would have been much worse off."

I smiled sagely as I placed a hand on his shoulder. "There's a lesson I learned from my master back in Pai Zhuq: To trust in yourself is one thing that can lead to a small difference, but to trust in others leads to a big impact for better or worse. Sure, you thought of what plan you figured would work and trusted your instincts, but trusting the words of your teammates leads to a much better outcome."

Ollie smiled and nodded, as did Solon as she spoke to me: "Your master must have had a lot of experience to pass on such wise words."

I smiled and nodded. "He's one of the best teachers I could ask for." If Master Casey could see me now, I know he'd be extremely proud of me.

Zayto looked at us. "I think it's time the Rangers put a message out to the city."

I nodded. "And I can provide the perfect medium for that message." I pulled out my video camera, and on that note, we all got to the city and after Zayto Rangered up, I filmed his message as he explained what to do in a Sporix related crisis, smiling as I became hopeful. 'I hope you're watching me right now, everyone. Cause the new team is here to stay.'

That's Episode 2 complete! Boy, that was a long one. I may have a different idea in mind for Void Knight as the series progresses, so give me your theories and speculations. I'd love to hear them! Also, let me know if you guys wanna see more of my Ranger Legacy heroes get their turn in the spotlight. I have an idea for Taylor and Eric since seeing the fanfics about them as a romantic couple. (Cricket chirps) Hey, I ship them too. No shame in it. Anywho, I'm just not sure which team she'd fit best in. Dino Charge or Ninja Steel? Let me know what you guys think. And be sure to comment, like the story, and keep following it for more updates!
