Hmm... Winning Attitude. Gotta say, I'm noticing a trend with the titles of this season, in that it's reminiscent of Mystic Force's titling where after SPD's one word titles sans the part numbering, there were two word titles sans the part numbering. then Operation Overdrive had three, and Jungle Fury had four. Dino Fury looks to be following the same vein as SPD through Jungle Fury, and I like that. Just goes to show how much Hasbro is paying attention to past seasons of Power Rangers, and is another reason why this season is easily becoming one of my faves. Anywho, this episode brings up an important lesson for Izzy and the Tiger Claw Zord's debut. Also, to those of you wanting spoilers for when episodes 9, 10, and 11 come out on Netflix with episodes 1-8, NO, I will not be doing the other three episodes early! I hate spoilers just as much as the next guy. Also I noticed a mention in the comments that Rowan could be better off with Ollie, and that's got me curious: Which boy would you guys want Rowan to be paired with? Ollie or Javi? Let me know in the comments. That all said, let's get rolling. (slashes the Disclaimers)

Disclaimer: I don't own Power Rangers, as it is owned by Hasbro as of May 1, 2018.

(Rowan's POV)

Finally having two new team members, I decided to give my fellow Pai Zhuq Masters an update, feeling that they deserved to know what was up with me.

I logged on to my chat room, smiling as I saw Lily's face appear on screen. "Hey, Lily. Great to see you."

"Rowan! What's up, girl?" Lily smiled and waved at me happily. She and I always got along well during my training, since she taught me to dance well enough to where I wouldn't trip all over myself. Yeah, I may be good with martial arts, but I have two left feet when it comes to dancing.

"Well, my team's almost complete, we're just missing our Gold Ranger." I reported calmly. "And I've been teaching the group some Pai Zhuq techniques and helping Izzy and Javi improve on their techniques. I can tell Izzy's close to summoning her spirit. Maybe after she's able to..." I trailed off, thinking about Masters Casey and Kenya.

Lily nodded a bit, knowing exactly what I was talking about. Since Kenya had fallen ill this past two years, she and Casey had disappeared from anywhere near the Jungle Fury team and their daughter Geminise had been asked to live with Lily and Theo for the time being until they found both of her parents.

"Yeah, Gem's been having some worries about this and she's wanted to come over and help out with the search. I keep telling her it's too dangerous because she's younger, but she isn't listening." She told me.

I nodded a bit. "She is about 12, ain't she?"

"13, actually." Lily told me. "She celebrated her birthday almost last Tuesday."

I groaned. "And I missed it?! Ay caramba! I'm sorry!"

She chuckled and smiled. "Don't sweat it, okay? Your dad already sent her a birthday gift from the both of you, so she was happy about that."

I sighed in relief. "Good old Dad." Without him, what would I do? "Anyway, have you been able to track Casey, at least?"

Lily nodded a bit. "So far, we got a reading on Casey's animal spirit in your vicinity. But RJ can't track him down any further. If Izzy is able to unlock her tiger spirit and summon it fully, there may be a stronger chance at tracking him. Remember the stories about Whiger and his stealing Casey's spirit?"

I nodded. "Yeah, Master Casey had to fight Whiger to get it back, but Whiger gave it to him fully along with his own white tiger spirit when he died."

Lily smiled. "Yep. Maybe Casey will be drawn to Izzy's tiger spirit in a similar way."

Suddenly, my communicator went off and I answered it quickly. "Go for Rowan."

"Hey, Ro. You coming to training? I've already got my cousin here." Izzy spoke through the communicator.

I blinked slightly. "Wait, your run's tomorrow? Ah, Dios mio! I totally forgot that! Sorry, I'll be there as soon as I can!"

"Alright, girl! See you there!" Izzy hung up.

I turned back to Lily. "That was Izzy. I gotta scram."

"Okay, make sure you keep an eye out for anything unusual with that Void Knight. Based on what you told me, RJ and Dom have been thinking Casey could be underneath that armor." She responded quickly.

I nodded. "Will do, Lily. See you." I hung up the video call and quickly teleported to the track field, running out from behind the bleachers and coming up beside the others as I smiled at the Garcia cousin Lily. "Hey, Lil. Glad you're helping Izzy out."

Lily nodded. "Glad to be here, Rowan." To fill you guys in on Izzy and Javi's cousin Lily, she is a Special Olympics athlete with CHARGE syndrome, something that could affect her development in both her mind and body. But she's a tough cookie, helping Izzy train for the race tomorrow. I know I usually get up at 5:30 in the morning for some exercise, but Izzy took her training to a whole new level.

"Not to mention, Lily makes the best protein smoothies for training." Izzy reminded me as we shared a laugh.

Lily looked at Izzy. "Maybe you'll get your own medal at the cross country race tomorrow."

Izzy nodded. "A medal would be great." She looked at Zayto, Ollie, and Izzy. "My dad wants me to set a new record. Like he says, 'you can only prove you're the best...'"

Lily joined her in finishing the line: "... by winning!"

I nodded a little bit, smiling a bit. "True. But sometimes winning isn't everything. As my dad tells me, even if you lose the race, you win by being a good sport."

Zayto nodded to me. "Honest words from a good man." I knew Zayto, Amelia, and Ollie had indirectly met my dad when I had gotten injured last week, but Zayto definitely had a lot of respect for him just by his worry for me alone.

Lily suddenly told Izzy. "I gotta go and meet my friend. See you at 2:00 for our last session, okay?"

Izzy nodded. "See you then."

Lily waved to us. "Bye."

"Later, Lil!" I called to her, the others also giving her their goodbyes.

Zayto then turned to Izzy. "Solon wants to see us."

"Sure. I'm done anyway. Let's go." Izzy nodded to him.

Down at the base, Solon gave us some good news: "I may have just discovered your missing Zords!" She pulled up the holo map. "This is where the Orb with your keys was found years ago in Greenley Woods." She showed Izzy and Javi the location while the rest of us watched.

"Hey, my race will go through there." Izzy pointed out.

I double checked it against the race map and nodded. "Izzy's right. That clearing is right by the track she's taking." I pointed the clearing out on the holo map.

"Oh, I get it!" Javi spoke up. "So if our Keys were in that area, then maybe our Zords are too."

I nodded to him with a smile. "Correct-a-mundo. But they may have been buried there since the previous Sporix Wars."

"I think with a few supplies, I can build something to detect Zord Energy, no matter how buried it is." Solon nodded to us.

I nodded. "I remember one of the Dino Charge Rangers made a device to detect the Energems and thus the Zords as well. We can make something similar to it. I can provide whatever you need for the device."

Solon nodded. "I'd be more than willing to work with what you have in mind, Rowan."

I nodded and pulled out my tablet, pulling up a picture of the detector that Shelby had sent me. I had been talking with Eric and Taylor's daughter Myra, who was the Riptide Ranger of the Dino Charge team, and she in turn would be a sort of in-between for both me and her team, and I had gotten to know a few of them from her side of everything.

Suddenly the Hotline went off and I immediately got the speaker online, masking my voice once again. "Greetings, you've reached the Ranger Hotline."

"There's a Sporix Beast at the track." A little girl's voice spoke, her tone slightly scared, but remaining calm.

Zayto spoke from behind me. "Evacuate the area immediately with whoever you're with. We're on our way." He turned the speakerphone off and nodded to us. "Let's get going." He teleported us to the field and we ran over to see Boomtower and Mucus with a water based Sporix Beast.

"Ugh, someone smells like a rotten fish." Amelia quipped, and I couldn't agree more. This new Sporix Beast was stinking up my nose worse than the Stink Dino Key's effects.

The Beast was surprised by her words. "What??"

I spoke up, directing my words towards the Beast. "No joke, hombre, you've got a nasty smell. Have you ever heard of showers and soap? It'll do wonders for you around the ladies. Take it from an actual girl."

"I'll bet his fighting stinks too." Izzy told me.

"It's Morphin' Time!" Zayto got us morphing, this time all six of us in sync. "Dino Fury Key, activate! Link to Morphin" Grid!" The rush of energy formed our suits and we all did our new roll call.

"Dragon Fury, Yellow Ranger!"

"T-Rex Fury, Red Ranger!"

"Ankylo Fury, Pink Ranger!"

"Tricera Fury, Blue Ranger!"

"Tiger Fury, Green Ranger!"

"Stego Fury, Black Ranger!"

We posed in our new formation. "Dino Fury Power!"

"Crush them, Brineblast!" Boomtower sent the new Beast at us as he joined it.

We charged in at them, Javi, Amelia, and Ollie fighting Boomtower while the the rest of us faced Brineblast, but he was definitely a tough nut, as me and Izzy found out as we tried to slash him.

"Thick skin," she noted while looking at me, to which I nodded in agreement. "No doubt about that. We may need to switch tactics here."

Zayto caught up with us. "You girls wanna change it up?"

I nodded to him. "Definitely." I took a Boost Key from my buckle and loaded it in. "Gravi Dino Key, ready!" I charged the boost and equipped it, sending the wave of energy at the Hengemen and knocking them upwards so the others could easily slash them down.

I saw Brineblast trying to run. "Oh no you don't, salmonella breath!" I chased after him with Zayto and Izzy following me, the three of us dodging the Beast's blasts before we cornered him. "End of the line, amigo!"

Brineblast cowered on his knees. "Please! I have little fishies at home who need their daddy!"

I rolled my eyes and slashed a hover energy at Brineblast, levitating him. "Seriously? That is the oldest trick in the villain 101 book." I heard Boomtower's shout and immediately moved, kicking him with a powerful blow to his gut.

Boomtower hit the ground. "Oof! How'd you know that was a distraction?!"

I made a face. "Didn't you just hear me, you culo brained monster?! Actually, don't answer that. You guys are real culos to underestimate me." I launched Brineblast at Boomtower, knocking them down before I took a stance. "Call to the beast inside: Send out the Dragon!" I thrust my hand forward and sent my Dragon Spirit at the two Sporix Beasts, knocking them into the water.

"Sweet moves!" Izzy commended me.

Javi then jumped in and fought Boomtower, using the Shield Boost to protect himself from a powerful attack. "Not even a scratch."

Boomtower stumbled back before looking over. "Brineblast! You're coming with me!" He teleported with Brineblast away from us.

Amelia and Ollie were the last two to join us. "The Hengemen are toast."

"Wish we could say the same for the others." I said.

Javi nodded in agreement. "They got away."

Izzy put her hand to her helmet. "Shoot, time's ticking. I'd better go meet Lily for training."

Zayto nodded. "We need to get supplies for Solon's detector."

I nodded to them. "Go to my dad's place. He can show you where I work on my inventions. I'll stick with Izzy in case Lil can't make it on time."

Javi pumped his fist. "Look out, Greenley Woods! We're gonna find those Zords!"

"Call if you need us." Izzy took off with me following her quick as the rest of the team teleported back to base.

(Izzy's POV)

A little while later, I came over to Rowan after some hard training, panting heavily and accepting some water from her. "Where is she?"

Rowan shrugged a bit. "Not sure. It's almost 2:30. I'm getting a bit worried."

"Hey, girls." Lily came up behind Rowan, causing me to look over.

"There you are." I said. "You were supposed to help me train half an hour ago. You've never been late before."

Lily nodded a little. "Yeah, I know. Sorry. I-"

"The race is tomorrow." I interrupted her. "And I skipped lunch because I was expecting one of your smoothies, but I had to rely on Rowan's attempt and I'm running on empty. How could you bail on me?"

Rowan suddenly got defensive like I had never seen her before. "Hey, whoa. Not cool, Izzy. First off, don't be dragging me into this. Second, it was half an hour. She probably got busy."

"I had to do some shopping with my friend Mona." Lily tried to explain, but I was annoyed.

"Shopping? Seriously, you went shopping instead of helping me train?" I couldn't understand it, but I didn't want to. "Wow. I'm relying on you, Lily. I really wanna make Dad proud. There's nothing more important than winning that race-"

A loud whistle from Rowan cut me off and caused both of us to cover our ears out of surprise as we looked at her, the Yellow Ranger looking really ticked off now. "No. That's where I draw the line." She got down and looked at me, the anger evident in her eyes and causing me to back up slightly. "You listen up, Isabel Garcia. Winning may be important to you, but it is not a priority in life. If you knew that, we wouldn't be standing here right now."

I blinked slightly. "Uh... I'm not following."

Rowan simply scoffed and walked over to the field. "Okay then. You and me, one on one match. Right here, right now. No winners or losers. Just see if you can beat me."

I blinked slightly, still not getting what she was saying, but I shrugged and went to the opposite side, both of us taking our battle stances and waiting tensely for the other to move first.

Rowan came at me first, causing me to defend myself quickly and counter with a kick, but she sweeped my legs out from under me and I landed on my back as a result of that.

"Unh!" I grunted slightly from the impact.

Rowan stood over me. "Again." She backed up and retook her stance.

I got up and retook my stance, charging first this time and trying to punch her, but she blocked easily and kicked me in the gut, causing me to stumble as she regained her battle stance with the command of "Again!" coming from her.

We went on like this for a solid five minutes, Rowan winning each time and making me frustrated every time until the nineteenth match where after she sent me stumbling back once more, I grew just as ticked. "ENOUGH ALREADY!"

What I didn't realize was that my shout came out as a roar while a green colored tiger spirit emerged from my body in a similar green aura, attacking Rowan and making her summon her Dragon Spirit in defense before the two spirits faded.

I looked in shock. "Did I just... was that...?!"

"Your tiger spirit." Rowan had sustained a couple of scratches from my spirit, but she looked totally fine otherwise. "See, from your anger at losing several times over, you managed to unleash the full fury at once. And in doing so, you brought your inner tiger out for the first time."

I smiled. "So I won in a way."

Rowan nodded and smiled back. "Yep. Like I said before, even if you lose, there's joy in winning as a good sportsman. Basically, don't let the fear of losing keep you from running."

I nodded, finally understanding what she was trying to do. She showed me that I was worried about letting my dad down and pushed me through those beatdowns so I could realize it's okay to lose every once in a while.

"Whoa, that was really cool, guys!" Oh yeah, totally forgot about Lily.

I looked at her, seeing her with a big smile on her face, and nodded. "Yeah, I... I guess. Uh... maybe you can introduce me to Mona tomorrow before the race?"

Lily nodded a little. "Sure. And don't worry about getting angry. It happens all the time."

I looked at Rowan, who was giving me a proud smile and nod. Tomorrow would be a good day, I will admit.

(Rowan's POV)

The next day, I was with my dad and some others as a medical assistant, getting my yellow bandana on before joining the others, looking at Izzy as I did so. "Nervous?"

Izzy nodded slightly. "A little."

"Don't be. Remember what you learned from me yesterday: Don't let the fear of losing..." I started out, letting her finish.

"Keep me from racing." Izzy nodded and I nodded back proudly.

"That's right." I high-fived her before seeing Lily come over with a girl in a wheelchair.

"Guys, this is my friend Mona." Lily introduced the girl to us.

Izzy seemed to finally understand Lily's excuse. "That's why you helped Mona with shopping! She's in a wheelchair!"

Mona nodded. "Lily's really been helping me out since I broke my leg. Seems like everything in the supermarket's on the top shelf."

We had a good laugh at the joke, Izzy being called to the starting line as Dad waved me over to get ready for helping anyone who needed it.

"Go get 'em, Tiger." I wished Izzy luck with a smile before I headed to the Jeep and got in.

About halfway up the race track, I got a message from Solon, quickly answering it. "Solon, what's up?"

"Brineblast has gone giant near the track. I think something's up, so I've sent the T-Rex, Tricera, and Ankylo Zords out. Keep your eyes peeled for Boomtower." Solon told me, and I could definitely sense the worry in her voice.

I nodded. "Roger that. I'll be careful." I hung up.

Dad looked over. "Sporix on the loose?"

I nodded and noticed the path to the clearing straight ahead, hearing some voices just as we got a report of a racer injured.

Dad nodded to me. "Go. I can handle it."

I nodded and hopped off, heading to investigate the voices and sure enough, it was Boomtower and Mucus! I took cover behind a bush and stayed quiet as I listened to them, being joined by Izzy seconds later.

"How long will it take the bomb to drill down to those Zords?" Mucus' words got us stunned. They were gonna blow up the Zords?! That couldn't happen!

"So you think you found our Zords?" Izzy stepped out first, me right behind her.

"Well yeah, we did!" Boomtower told us proudly. "And they're about to be rubble!"

"Not with us around!" Izzy and I held out out Keys readily before Izzy saw her Key glowing.

"My Zord is close. Time to save it!" She charged forward as I joined her, both of us shouting "Link to Morphin' Grid" and doing an instant morph before we started battling Boomtower.

"You're too late, Rangers! The Zords will go kaboom in just minutes!" Boomtower knocked us back and left with Mucus.

I looked at Izzy. "We gotta save the Zords somehow."

Izzy contacted the team. "Guys, you there?"

"Izzy! Please give us good news." Ollie was sounding a bit exhausted.

"Ro and I found the Zords!" She reported to the team.

I heard the cheering and got on the line. "Don't celebrate yet. Boomtower and Mucus sent a bomb into the ground to destroy them."

"Brineblast's attacks are really raining down on us!" Zayto told us.

"And now he's reloading!" Amelia chimed in from her podium before we saw the sparks and everyone getting jostled around.

"Oh boy." I looked at Izzy. "We're in hot water now." What could we do to help?

"We need to get the Zords away from that bomb." Izzy started thinking. "But we can't get through a whole mountain."

I followed her train of thought. "Unless..." I got on the comms again. "Guys, lure Brineblast here and get him to blast the mountain!"

"Great idea, girls!" Zayto was in agreement as he hung up.

We watched as the Megazord arrived and faced Brineblast, who stomped through the trees easily.

"You can't escape me! I have great cardio!" Brineblast shouted at the others.

"Let's hope this works." Izzy held my hand worriedly, as I nodded in agreement.

Just as Brineblast fired, the Megazord moved quickly and the shots hit the mountain, causing rubble to hit him instead.

"Bullseye!" I jumped up happily, hearing the familiar roar of the tiger and watching the new Zord run out amidst the explosion. "Go, Tiger Claw Zord!"

The Zord attacked Brineblast at a fast speed, causing him to yelp. "Bad kitty! Bad kitty!"

I nodded to Izzy and patted her shoulder. "You've earned this one."

Izzy nodded and grabbed her auxiliary Key. "Zords combine!" She launched it up and the Tiger Zord merged with the Megazord as we teleported into the cockpit and locked our Sabers in. "Linked! Dino Fury Megazord: Claw Formation!"

Together we started battling Brineblast with more speed than before, easily tanking his shots.

"Let's try the jet boosts." Izzy suggested.

"Good thinking, Izzy!" I pointed to her proudly before we boosted forward, and I took a battle stance. "Let's time it against his reload time!"

As soon as we heard Brineblast shout "I'm out of juice", we got into action, Zayto summoning the Megazord Fury Saber and us taking a final pose. "Dino Fury Megazord: Tiger Mega Slash!" We slashed down and took out Brineblast. "Dino Fury Victory!"

We landed and looked around for the Sporix, with me spotting it behind us and dashing for it, but Boomtower caught me and blasted me back, claiming the Sporix Cell.

"You may have gotten your Zord, but this is ours!" Boomtower teleported away.

"He got away again!" Izzy sounded upset.

Ollie ran over and patted her shoulder. "Don't worry, Izzy. At least we saved your Zord."

"Yeah, now we just need to find mine." Javi agreed.

"With a little bit of time, Solon's device will be complete, and we'll have our shot." Zayto reassured him.

But that only got Izzy to groan at the mention of time. "Oh man, the race! I've never not finished a race!"

Javi walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Then don't start, Iz."

She seemed to get the understanding and nodded. "Yeah! And with Rowan's lesson from yesterday, I don't have to worry about losing." She demorphed and headed back to the racetrack to finish up as we cheered her on.

(Izzy's POV)

I started running on the path again, heading down to where everyone else was and finishing the race as I was cheered on by the team.

"Better late than never." I high-fived Amelia, Rowan, Ollie, and Zayto before hugging Javi and then going to Lily. "I need to apologize. I was treating you so badly. You wrre just trying to help your friend the same way you were trying to help me. Can you forgive me?"

"Of course I can! With the other runner earlier, you could have kept running, but you stopped to help her. That was awesome." Lily smiled at me.

I smiled and shrugged. "Well, like a wise person told me, even if you lose the race, you win by being a good sport." I smiled at Rowan, seeing the blush of pride on her face as she nodded back to me.

I looked back at Lily and sighed. "Though it would have been nice to get that medal."

Lily took out a medal she had won and put it around my neck. "Take this one instead, for sportsmanship."

I smiled at her. "Thanks, coach." I gave my cousin a big hug that she reciprocated before I looked at Dad, who had come over.

"I was surprised you stopped." He sounded stern, putting me on edge before he continued, "Until I heard why. I'm proud of you, champ."

I sighed in relief. "You are?"

"Of course." He smiled at me. "But remember, you can only prove you're the best..."

We finished it together: "By winning!" We shared a laugh together.

"She's already the best at something, Uncle Carlos." Lily reminded him. "She's the best cousin!"

The others had joined us as Javi joked, "Hey, what am I, invisible?"

We all shared a laugh together, enjoying the time together as not only a team, but as a family.

Yeah, Izzy learned quite a bit this time around. Apologies for the late posting and shorter chapter, but I have been having some emotional trouble lately. Eh, not much I could do about it anyway. Read and review, y'all.
