What the fu- FOUR FOLLOWERS OF THE STORY- ik,ik,not that many but still! Every little thing like that means the world to an author!
Nico rolled over in his bed, still wide awake.
Percy had kissed him.
Ugh...but at the cost of sounding how idiotic? And,just icing on the huge cake of mess-ups,i kissed him again when he left!
At this,he smiled slightly. Ha...the shocked look on Percy's face.
Nico sighed, knowing it was morning and he would have to get up. He suddenly realized his head was aching and his stomach churning.
He got out of bed,and raked his fingers through his hair, and glanced in the mirror. Instead of his usual pale look,he looked...pink?
Well,to be fair,Nico was blushing quite a bit.
Nico sighed, and walked to the Hades table, poking at the food that appeared on his plate. He glanced over at Percy and waved, deciding to act like nothing had happened, for now.
Percy,at Nico's casual gesture felt his face burn and his heart pound. He waved back but just kept his eyes on his food, not wanting to look up and see Nico again.
Not yet,not right now, when remembering the night before only confused him even more.
Even before things were a confusing blur,Nico had looked so fragile,Percy couldn't help but want to protect him, even though he knew full well that Nico was anything but weak. And then...Nico's words rang in his ears, confusing him further.
"Would you kiss me?"
Percy blushed. Why the fuck would he say that?
He was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't notice Annabeth poking him questioningly.
"What's wrong?"
Percy stayed quiet.
"Oh spill it,Seaweed brain."
He sighed. "It's,uh...not here, okay?" Annabeth raised her eyebrow and looked towards Nico questioningly.
"Yes,more drama if that's what you were wondering."
After breakfast,Percy had tried to dismiss it,but Annabeth had persisted.
So,here they were, middle of the woods.
"Spill it already." Annabeth said, half laughing. Percy felt himself blush as he tried to explain. "Long story short,Nico- he...uh...Nico kissed me."
She fistpumped,to Percy's utter embarassment. "Okay, now give me all the details."
After Percy had told Annabeth every detail, about five times over, she raised her eyebrow.
"Wow,Seaweed brain. Never expected you to have the courage to kiss him."
Percy blushed. "I just...kinda don't know how i feel right now..."
Annabeth smiled, laughing a bit. "Just think of his face."
He raised his eyebrows. "Okay, that is enough to cause a hurricane." She laughed. "Ha...go tell that to Nico then." Percy sighed. "Yeah that's...a good idea i guess?"
She sighed. "Hey. I don't mean now. You can wait,or not. Just...don't wait too long or you'll lose him."
Percy blinked. "Yeah. I'm just gonna go and think...and internally scream until i finally decide to talk to him." Annabeth smiled. "Truest thing i've ever heard." He smiled, and pulled up Nico's number, and typed,
From: Seaweed brain
To: Death boy
Hey,wanna train?
From: Death boy
To: Seaweed brain
Sure. See you there in five?
From: Seaweed brain
To: Death boy
K,heading there now!
Percy panted, slamming Riptide against Nico's sword, and accidentally fully pinning Nico down.
Nico blushed, but all the same, his back hurt now. Percy looked extremely awkward and looked away when Nico glanced at him. He stood up,helping Nico up as well. Nico's heart beat so loudly that Annabeth could probably hear it from outside the training rink where she was waiting to spar with either Nico or Percy. He felt himself blush as Percy glanced to him,and Percy muttered, "I'm gonna go get...water."
He sighed as Percy left. Nico wanted make a move on Percy, even just talk to him,but Annabeth was there, and there were...other reasons.
Annabeth seemed to notice Nico's expression, and said, "Didn't talk things out with Percy yet?" Nico jumped at her suddenly speaking, and mumbled, "N-no." She laughed a bit. "It's so obvious he's head over heels for you." He blushed, fidgeting, and Annabeth said, "Ah,did you not get the idea when he kissed you?"
Nico's entire face went pink. "Geez,Annabeth! Just two things, please don't mention this so loudly and casually,it's embarassing, and two,how the hell do you even know that?" Annabeth smirked. "Ah...i'm the main one who gives advice to Percy about these things,it took a lot of effort to get him to spill it,though." He sighed, and said, "Gods,Annabeth."
Just then,Percy walked back into the training rink, and any of the pink which had faded from Nico's cheeks had definitely came back. Percy, utterly clueless, said, "Oh...I was going to bring waterbottles but I forgot. You wanna go get some,Nico?" Nico nodded automatically, then realized what he had agreed to as he followed Percy.
Oh damn. This is awkward.
Nico followed Percy, hardly able to stay silent as he met his eyes for less than a second.
Percy glanced at Nico, and their eyes met for less than a second, but it was clearly long enough to make his heart pound. He smiled a bit at Nico, shyly but with strangely more courage than he had before. It was a weird feeling, like time could stop right then and there. Nico must've seen the look on Percy's face, because he smiled too, with just enough shy, gentle warmth to make give Percy butterflies.
On an slight impulse, his hand slid closer to Nico's without Percy realizing. And,in a second, his pinky finger and Nico's were intertwined.
Nico blushed. He'd been shy and nervous around Percy before,but...this felt huge. He felt happy, and shy,and nervous, and kind of embarassed in...a soft way.
Heyyyyy~ So,don't worry, they'll talk it out next chapter! mwehehehe-
