Hello everyone. I've returned with the fifth chapter of Ghost With The Most, my own version, that is. Like I said, this chapter introduces the Maitlands, Adam and Barbara (or Babs, as I like to call her) but it also introduces Charles Deetz. Yep, it seems Delia finally told him about what Lydia has been up to with the Teen Titans. Heh. Anyway, like I said, the Teen Titans and Beetlejuice belong to their respective owners so don't sue me. This is my story, just for fun and it was inspired. Now with that out of the way, let's get started, shall we?
Raven looked both ways in the hallway, being on the lookout out for Delia. The other Titans and Lydia looked on nervously.
"We're clear." Raven said.
"Good. This way." Lydia said, guiding the Titans to the attic. Raven sighed.
"No offense, but is your stepmother always so...?" Raven began asking. Lydia nodded.
"None taken and yes." Lydia said. "Ever since the wedding incident, she's been twice as suspicious."
"Twice as suspicious?" Beast Boy asked.
"Yeah, no more weird surprises. That's why she or my dad can't know about you guys. They made peace with Adam and Barbara but if they find out about you guys..." Lydia began explaining.
"You wouldn't be able to help us?" Starfire finished.
Lydia nodded. "You guys might get sent away before I can help you get home."
"What's wrong with us? We're pretty normal." Robin said.
"There's nothing normal about an alien, a half robot, a half demon sorceress or a green boy with pointy ears and fangs. No offense." Lydia said to Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy and Raven.
"None taken." Cyborg, Starfire and Beast Boy said.
"Yeah, and you have ghosts as your second parents." Raven said bitterly.
"Seriously? Will you trust me just this once, Rae?" Lydia asked.
"Fine." Raven replied. "But only because you said we're friends."
"Well, aren't we?" Lydia asked.
Raven nodded. "Yeah, I guess we are."
Lydia smiled. "Good."
"How much longer?" Beast Boy moaned. Lydia giggled.
"Stop whining, BB. We're here." Lydia said. Beast Boy sighed.
"Goodie." Beast Boy said.
Lydia knocked on the attic door while Raven raised an eyebrow.
"Come in." a male voice called.
Lydia smiled and entered the attic. "Hey, Mr. and Mrs. Maitland."
"Whoa!" Beast Boy said, speeding over to the model. "Cool, it's the whole town!"
Raven was shocked at the sight in front of her,
"Actual ghosts?" Raven asked herself. "She was not joking."
Mrs. Maitland, known as Barbara, smiled. "Who are your new friends, Lydia?"
"Oh. Adam, Barbara. I'd like you to meet the Teen Titans." Lydia responded. "Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, Raven and of course, Beast Boy."
"Dude! Did you build this yourself?" Beast Boy asked like a kid on Christmas.
"Um, yes. Can you please not touch it?' Adam asked.
Raven smacked Beast Boy's hand away. "You heard him. Don't touch it." she said.
"Aww." Beast Boy whined.
"It is nice to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Maitland." Starfire said.
"Please. Just call us Adam and Barbara." Barbara insisted.
"if you insist...Barbara." Cyborg said smiling.
"Lydia, a word. Adam?" Barbara said disturbed. She and Adam pulled Lydia to the side and looked at her stern.
"What?" Lydia said.
"How did they get here?" Adam asked, almost as stern as Barbara.
"I went to the Netherworld with Beetlejuice..." Lydia began.
"You did what?!" Adam exclaimed.
"Lydia! We told you not to go there, especially with him!" Barbara said.
"I know, I know but let me finish." Lydia said. "Cyborg dared Beast Boy to summon a ghost and Beast Boy chose him."
"That is true. I did!" Cyborg chimed in.
"His fault." Beast Boy chimed in too.
"Will you two stay out of this?" Lydia asked sternly.
"Yes ma'am." Cyborg and Beast Boy said.
Lydia turned to Adam and Barbara.
"In my defense, I'm just helping them before Delia finds out about them. I don't want them sent away." Lydia pleaded. "Just help me out this once."
Adam and Barbara looked at each other, then at Lydia.
"Okay, but this is your doing and your responsibility." Barbara said. "We won't be responsible for what happens."
"Thank you, thank you guys." Lydia said, hugging both Adam and Barbara.
Raven flew over to them.
"Mr. Maitland?" Raven said.
"It's Adam, Raven." Adam said.
"Right. Adam?" Raven corrected.
"Yes, Raven?" Adam said.
"Did Beast Boy break one of the model pieces?" Lydia asked. Raven nodded.
"It was an accident!" Beast Boy shouted.
"But luckily, I fixed it." Raven said while her hands were glowing black.
"Wow. Thank you." Adam said, impressed with Raven's power.
"You're welcome." Raven said smiling.
"Beast Boy..." Barbara said, scolding Beast Boy.
"I'm sorry, Babs!" Beast Boy exclaimed. Raven rolled her eyes.
"I told you not to touch it." Raven said sternly.
"You're not the boss of me, Raven!" Beast Boy said.
Lydia giggled. "We better get going before Beast Boy breaks any more things in here."
"Hey!" Beast Boy said offended.
"Maybe we can help." Barbara offered. Raven raised an eyebrow.
"How?" Raven asked.
"We don't have much choice with that woman getting all..." Cyborg said, referring to Delia as "that woman".
"Lydia!" another male voice called.
"Great, my dad." Lydia said.
"Lydia, don't go!" Starfire said.
"I have to see what my dad wants, Star." Lydia said. "Just stay here."
Lydia left the room, leaving the Titans feeling nervous.
"Could I...?" Beast Boy asked.
"No!" Raven said. "Lydia said to stay here."
"Aww, no fair." Beast Boy whined.
Lydia came down the stairs from the attic and went down to find not only Delia but her dad, Charles too.
This can't be good. Lydia thought nervously. She came down to the both of them.
"Lydia, we need to talk." Charles said sternly.
Lydia paled at the statement. Definitely not good.
*TO BE CONTINUED*
Cliffhanger! Muahahahahaha. Anyway, I did quite good, writing wise. Now if the story seems confusing to you all, sorry. I tried my best to have the Beetlejuice characters be how they are in the movie since I've watched the movie way too much. Hehehe. For the timeline of this story, it takes place like 2 or 3 years after the movie since Lydia is a teenager, as I recall. Now for the next chapter, I don't know when I'll have it out or when I'll work on it since I'm trying to get over a sore throat. Sigh. I hate sore throats. They're the worst. Enough about that. For those wondering where Beetlejuice is in this chapter, remember, he had to stay in Lydia's room. Heh. Besides, this chapter is about Lydia, the Maitlands and the Titans so I had to have him absent just for this chapter. Okay, I better go now. I plan to have the next chapter out soon cause like I said, I'm dedicated to this story. Okay, I'm done now. I'll see you all next chapter. Ciao! :)
