Cody and Loona were summoned to a Free Demon Union stronghold – a fortress with an army mobilizing for the assault on Slaughtersburg and Bloodhill. The army was composed of Imp, Succubus, Hellhound, Baphomet, hybrid demons, half-breed demons, etc. All of them were armed and ready for battle. Their arsenal was mixed with firearms and blunt weapons. Some of them had enchanted staffs and books for magical combat. Armored vehicles, armed helicopters, jets, and even tanks were also used.

Being knights now, not only did Loona and Cody have rank and authority, they had special armor and gear for them. Loona's armor was demonic chest armor protecting her whole torso, front and back, neck, shoulder armor pads, and gauntlets. On her lower side, she had something similar to kuzazuri samurai armor protecting her private area, rear, and hips. Her shins and calves had armor covering her legs as well, along with her knees. The armor was strong enough to hold up against bullets and arrows, but light allowed her to move freely and fast. Loona was given a helmet with a face shield equipped with night vision, thermal, x-ray, etc., and they were equipped with coms to communicate.

Cody had something similar to Loona's but not as much. He needed his back accessible so his wings could come out. Instead of a helmet, he got an earpiece. All the soldiers saluted him and Loona as they walked through, following Draven, heading for the main hall – Cody and Loona casually saluted and nodded back to the soldiers.

"The Free Demon Union Army isn't messing around," Cody spoke as he looked at all the arsenal.

"Yeah, you guys have enough weapons and soldiers to invade a country," Loona added.

"That's the idea. The VVV Legion control large areas east of the Flaming Mountains, with huge numbers on their sides. Not just demons but other dark creatures like gargoyles, trolls, basilisks, goblins, manticores, minotaurs, cthulhus, and chimeras. They're still recruiting. So, we need all we can get," Draven said.

Once they got to the main hall, there was their dark king, King Purson, and his knights, who had a mix of medieval and ballistic armor. Duke Dantalion and his Knight Greyhound Raiders. The Fallen Angels, Samael, Lamia, Satan, and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, were there too. There were several high-ranking officer demons and a general who looked much like the Ghost King from Danny Phantom but different. He resembled the form of a giant strong man but with Imp-like features. He had four horns, two big long ones on his head pointing up and two thick ones on the side of his head pointing down and slightly forward toward his chin. His face and big tail were Imp-ish, but his eyes glowed red. He wore fancy medieval-style armor. His big shoulder pads were giant medal skulls, and his chest armor, gauntlets, and shin armor had red and black tribal demon decorations. He had a belt full of guns, ammo, and a sword. His cape was red fire. He had a knife scar over the bridge of his nose.

They all stood around a big round table with a giant 3D hologram map. When Loona and Cody walked in, they stopped talking and turned to face them.

"My dark lords, Dame Loona and Sir Cody, have arrived," Draven announced.

Cody and Loona respectfully bowed, "Our dark lords."

"Ah, Loona and Cody. I'm so glad you can join us. You remember the Fallen Angels and the Four Horsemen. Allow me to introduce you to General Braxton," King Purson stated.

General Braxton walked over to Loona and Cody.

"Ah, the famous Hellhound who saved and adopted a human boy . . . and the boy who killed Valentino. I must say what an honor it is to finally meet the two people Hell has talked about for so long. The two who have . . . sacrificed so much and at great personal risk," General Braxton said.

He placed his hands on Cody and Loona's shoulders before patting them.

"I need more soldiers like you two," General Braxton turned to the lower-ranking officers nearby, "Let these two stand as examples to all of you. They are the ideal examples of warriors."

"Now, let's get down to business," Satan spoke.

Conquest pointed on the map, "This is the city of Slaughtersburg, and Bloodhill is all these farms and small town areas. The VVV control all of it. Most of the civilians fled when they took it and let only their supporters stay."

"There will be three known Overlords there," Samael stated as a hologram projection showed their images, "Argo, leader of the gargoyles, Brennan, of the goblins, and Marduk, of the minotaurs."

Lamia stepped forward and placed her hands on Cody's shoulders, "Sonato and Zagan were warmups, and with Valentino, it was just him with no army behind him. So, this will be a challenge, Cody. Don't toy with them as you did with Sonato. Just kill them."

"Marduk's the toughest, so it's best to use teamwork to take him down. The other two are less challenging, but they swarm with their lower ranks," Satan stated.

The hologram map showed moving arrows from the left and right.

War spoke next, "We're doing a pincer move. Loona and the main army will attack from the right flank from the tree line. The hills and cloud cover will conceal our attack. Cody, you will ride with the Fallen Angels and with us, Four Horsemen, as we sneak our way to the left. It's to use everything we taught you. You remember Rain Hellfire technique?"

Cody nodded. Loona glanced at all of them.

"Good. There's a ridge here that has a perfect view of the VVV camps and strongholds. When we get there, hit the heavy areas, and our forces will clean the remnants," War finished.

"Hold up, you're separating us?" Loona asked.

"Yes, Cody will be us, and we move fast and swiftly. You'll only slow us down. You will lead the assault on the right flank with me," Duke Dantalion said.

Loona was about to speak, but the Duke raised his hand, "Don't argue. Cody can handle himself, and he'll be with the most powerful. You'll be with my Knight Greyhound Raiders attacking the buildings and machine gun nests here and here."

Loona looked at where he was pointing before looking back at Cody.

"I'll be okay. Your job is harder than mine," Cody assured.

Loona sighed, "Alright. Where will the enemy go if we attack them from both sides?"

"They can't retreat south. They'll run right into the river. So, that leads them only to flee north," Famine answered.

"There's nothing but farm fields out there. They'll be completely exposed. If they don't surrender, we'll pick them off as they retreat," Death finished.

"Any questions?" King Purson asked.

Everyone shook their head.

"Good. Loona, follow me to meet your company and unit. We need to get you geared up," Duke Dantalion said.

"As for you, Cody, if you're riding with us, you'll need a horse, and we picked one that's perfect just for you," Conquest said.

They stepped outside. The Four Horsemen's steads were standing close by, but there was also a fifth one. A black horse with glowing blue eyes, a tail, and a mane were blue and white flames that matched Cody's Blue Diamond sword. Cody and Loona stood in awe of the magnificent creature.

"Whoa," Cody breathed.

"His name is Midnight. He's yours," Conquest stated.

Cody approached him. Midnight neighed fiercely as he got on his hind legs.

"Whoa, easy there," Cody said.

It took a few minutes, but Cody was able to calm him down. Then he mounted the saddle. Loona's unit was mostly Hellhounds, but there were Imps and Baphomets – ones that were big and strong. Loona got herself a tactical vest with ammo magazines and a tactical rifle. None of the rifles and LMGs were chambered in anything small, like 5.56. The rifles were chambered in 7.62x51 NATO, the LMGs were in the big 338 Norma Magnum, and some were in the Russian 7.62x54r rounds.

The assaults looked very similar to M69-AR rifles from Avatar 2, except the barrels had M-LOK rails, and the whole thing had black & red camouflage patterns. Their LMGs were identical to the Sig MG 338 but with different buttstocks and bigger trigger guards to fit the demon's big fingers. Everyone was armed and ready for war, but before they all got on the helicopters and vehicles, they looked to see Cody in the air.

He was riding his new horse with the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and the Fallen Angels flying nearby. Cody stopped to gaze at all the soldiers looking back at him. Cody glanced at his comrades before looking back at the Free Demon Union Army. Then Cody drew his massive Blue Diamond sword, ignited the blue and white flame on the blade, held it up high like a torch, and roared a loud battle cry. The soldiers responded in the same manner as they joined in a colossal battle cry. Demons roared and howled. Even the horsemen and angels joined the battle cry. King Purson looked upon it all and smiled confidently.

He glanced at Draven and General Braxton standing by at his side.

"We're gonna win . . . we're gonna WIN!" King Purson praised.

"You're goddamn right we are!" General Braxton agreed.

The attack on the right flank was swift. The Free Demon Union Army bombarded the area with rockets and firebombs. With Duke Dantalion and the Knight Greyhound Raiders, Loona moved in fast. They shot and killed the enemy before they could arm the SAM missiles or get choppers in the air. Loona used her assault rifle and gauntlets to blow up enemy helicopters before they could get in the air. Duke Dantalion shot energy beams and blasts at armored vehicles blowing up, grabbing several, and throwing them at machine gun nests.

A dozen armed shark demons were running down the street. Loona and her raiders gunned them down as they ran into their line of fire. Clouds of blood burst into the air and sprayed against the walls. It was mostly a firefight, but hand-to-hand combat situations happened frequently, and Loona did not give any a clean death as she stabbed, crushed, blew up, and even set on fire. The Greyhound Raiders were no different as they grabbed their enemies, smashed them against the ground or the wall, and stabbed their throats or hears, leaving a bloody mess. The Hellhounds used their strong arms and legs to fight and their own powerful jaws. Baphomets took their candles off of their heads so that they could charge their enemies like ram goats, and it was dangerously effective as they hit them like a truck with the gas floored.

Loona hugged her back to the wall as she reloaded while catching her breath. She looked up at the red sky.

"Cody, you better be safe," Loona said to herself.

Meanwhile

Cody rode on Midnight to keep up with the Four Horsemen and the Fallen Angels as they rode low through the trees using multiple spells. An invisible spell to be unseen, a silent spell to be unheard, and a no solid form spell to ride through trees, walls, and anything else in their way. This way, they could fly straight to their destination. As they got close to the ridge, there were scout patrols here and there. Death and Famine killed them silently.

They got to the cliff, which had a perfect view of the whole valley. The entire 3rd and 4th army of the VVV Legion was down there. Cody, the Four Horsemen, and the Fallen Angels stood there seeing them all. The towns and fields were filled with soldiers and militia of the VVV—thousands of demons and dark creatures, along with their own armored vehicles and aircraft.

"How many is that?" Cody asked.

War shrugged, "Four or five divisions. So, we're looking at anywhere between 80 to 100,000 demons. That's why we need you to do your Rain Hellfire technique. How long will it take for you to power up?"

"Roughly ten minutes, but I'll be in total concentration," Cody replied.

"What does that mean?" Famine asked.

"It means he needs us to cover him. Get started, Cody," Samael ordered.

Cody got in his proper stance like the Fallen angels taught him while the others stayed frosty, keeping watch. Cody took deep breaths, inhaling and exhaling as his outline began to glow white. As his outline grew brighter, bursts of black and white lightning began coming off his body along with the white aura flame. The ground started to shake and crumble. Cody growled as he concentrated on building up his power. Cody's black feathered wings, black horns, and white halo were out. His eyes were glowing pure white light.

However, as he was powering up, a scout patrol spotted them, and Cody's allies sensed it. Just as one of them was going to get on the radio, Lamia teleported behind them and impaled them from behind by summoning giant claws that were engulfed in flames. The scouts didn't have time to scream as they burned to ashes. There were three left as they crawled away in fear. She flapped her four black and red feathered wings while pulling out enchanted daggers and looked at the scouts like they were utter jokes.

"Crashing our party? Calling for help? I don't think so, boys," Lamia said.

Famine groaned in disgust, "I hate party crashers."

He grabbed one scout and made it burn alive from the inside with his purple flames as they burst out his eyes, mouth, and ears. Then he stabbed the second one with his claws and drained the life out of him until he was nothing but shriveled skin on a skeleton. The last one crawled away, terrified, but he pulled out a flare gun. Everyone's eyes widened in surprise as they blasted him into oblivion, but the flare had been shot. The flare was bright green and could be seen for miles.

"Shit!" Lamia said.

"You know they say if you're gonna fuck up, do it earlier before the mission starts!" Satan called.

"Oh, kiss my ass, Satan!" Lamia shouted.

"Stop fighting, you two! We need to protect Cody while he powers up," Famine said.

Conquest rode by on his white horse, "He's right. We'll split up. I'll ride with Famine and Satan. We'll kill the scout patrols and anyone coming up the ridge. The rest of you cover the air and the tree line."

"We'll keep him safe," Lamia promised.

Conquest, Famine, and Satan flew with lightning speed through the woods hunting any VVV Legion scouts. Meanwhile, Cody's power had gone from enormous to colossal. Even Lamia got chills when she returned to Samael, Death, and War. The black and white lightning was bigger and more violent as it zapped around along the white flame aura. His power was loud, too, and caused a rough wind to kick up.

"How much longer does he need?" Lamia asked loud enough for Samael to hear.

"About five minutes! He's almost there! As we taught him, once he reaches full potential, he will level that whole valley down below!" Samael answered.

"Won't the VVV armies below see this and make a run for it?!" Death questioned.

"Even if they do, they won't have time to evacuate or get far! There's too many!" War answered.

Then up in the air, they saw a swarm of gargoyle demons coming in fast. The two Fallen Angels and Death growled.

"Here they come!" Samael hollered.
