Día and Summer were being careful as they were walking the streets heading toward where Molly was at. While Angel Dust was a porn star in Pentagram City and Niss was being a racketeer with his boyfriend, Molly was doing something else. She was running a show business of all things in Pink Shore – a city right by the coast. Pink Shore was Hell's Miami – a big city, a huge beautiful beach with pink sands, and lots of girl demons in bikinis. Whether it was movies, shows, musical theater, fashion shows, or concerts, Molly was running it. She basically owned Pink Shore. Finding her, however, was not so easy. Día and Summer arrived just as the sun went down, and Pink Shore was even more beautiful at night with all the colorful lights on like the Vas Strip, and like Las Vegas, it had lots of casinos, strip clubs, bars, etc.
"Are you sure about this?" Día asked, keeping up with her girlfriend.
"Yeah, I'm sure. We said we'd do it," Summer replied.
"I know. I want to help Cody, but . . . it's the VVV. You know what they do to demons that cross them."
"We're not backing out of this. Valentino's dead, and if there's a snowball's chance that Cody and the others can kill off the rest of the VVV, we gotta take it."
Día sighed, "Okay, but are you sure we're headed the right way? This city is huge."
Summer stopped dead in her tracks.
Día turned to her, "What? What's wrong?"
Summer had a nervous smile as she answered, "Umm . . . actually . . . I was just following you."
Día gave her cat-like girlfriend a dumbfounded look, "Wait, what?!"
Before they could continue, gunshots sprayed in front of their feet. They looked and saw shark and troll demons land on the ground before them. Each was armed with weapons like machetes, spiked baseball bats or clubs, and shotguns. There was a tall skinny shark demon on the roof of a store nearby, laughing while clapping. He wore tight clothes like a collared shirt, necktie, vest, and a fedora hat.
"Spectacular. Día and Summer. How good to see you again," he said.
Both girls glared at him, "Caleb."
"So, your master dies, and you flee to hide behind the wolf in sheep's clothing, eh?"
Día and Summer glanced at each other with a smirk.
"Well, can't exactly work for someone who's dead now, can you? And what can we say? The Duke runs a pretty sweet club," Summer said.
"Besides, have you seen Val's place recently? Looters really . . . did a number on that place," Día said.
"Working for that dog was your biggest mistake, but you can make it up to Vox and Velvet. All you gotta do is dump Duke Dantalion and work for the VVV," Caleb said.
The two girls chuckled.
"Is that all?" Summer questioned with a smirk.
"That and give Cody to us . . . and all will be forgiven."
Día and Summer's smiles disappeared as they looked back at Caleb. Día drew two black and red demonic high-capacity 45 ACP pistols. She aimed them at Caleb while glaring at him.
"Not a chance," Día said before firing.
Caleb ducked and hid behind some of his bodyguards. Three of them got shot up with bloody bullet holes. Then the rest of the henchmen attacked. Día dodged while shooting bastards in the face, head, and torso. She spun around, delivering kicks to the face, making guys trip so she could shoot them while they were down. Then a bunch attacked at once. Día summoned a sword that looked much like the Force Edge version of the Sword of Sparda in Devil May Cry 3, except the skull at the end of the handle had red gems in its eyes and two small horns.
Día spun around and sliced three shark demons with one swing and stabbed another one right in at the throat – blood sprayed out of the other three and out of the one's throat. All the other demons, including Caleb, looked at her wide-eyed.
"Oh yeah, I ain't no dandelion!" Día hollered before tearing his throat out and beheading him.
As Día was killing demons, the other turned to attack Summer as she stood with her arms crossed and a smug smile. Then her arms started glowing with an orange and red light. In a split, five demons were cut to bloody pieces. She rose from her stance to show big glowing demonic arms with sharp claws hovering next to her arms.
The other demons looked upon her in fear. Summer grinned before she dashed around, slicing demons up. She grabbed some guys, stabbed them, and ripped them apart. Then she sliced her claws to send energy waves that looked like slice cuts. They flew with lightning speed and cut the enemies in half. With Summer's demonic claws and Día's sword & guns, there was so much blood you could taste the iron. Some of it sprayed and splashed on the two girls, and they seemed to love it as they grinned devilishly at each other.
Then they turned their attention to Caleb, and he should have been terrified, but instead, he only smirked. Summer sent energy claw slashes to him, but a force field appeared to block and prevent them from cutting Caleb. Día and Summer looked at each other confused, while Caleb kept his cocky smile as he crossed his arms. Día unloaded her guns on him but got the same results.
They looked over and saw a baphomet demon with glowing purple eyes and a magic staff with a ram's skull on the top. He was wearing a dark grey cloak with chains – a dark mage. He waved his staff around while saying some ancient Satanic spell. Then a giant horned beast made of purple lightning appeared. It swung his big arm backhanded, and Summer used her magic arms just in time to protect her girlfriend and herself. They were still hit hard as they flew through the air and slammed against the wall. Día and Summer grunted and cried out in pain as they fell.
The horned beast waved its hand and shot purple lightning beams at them – the beams destroyed the walls and pavement into rubble. Summer grabbed Día and got them out of the way of the rays. As she carried her, Día took several shots at the beast, but the bullets only wounded it to slow down – not bring it down. More shark and troll demons showed up. They were surrounded. Summer growled a demonic hiss and snarl while Día looked nervous and scared.
However, as they were closing in on them, dozens of sharp red spikes came out of nowhere and impaled the demons. Most had ten to fifteen sticking out of their torsos and faces. Then the spikes dissolved into blood. As they fell dead, a series of glowing stars that looked like warp stars from Super Smash Bros. They zipped around the sky, leaving a trail of sparkling light. Then they dived down and hit different demons on the ground, and explosions of sparkling light erupted. Most were killed on impact, while others looked severely burned.
"What the fuck is happening?!" Caleb demanded.
His dark mage looked around to try and find the source, but before he knew it, his body was being possessed as he floated off the ground. He cringed and ached like he was being strangled. Then, his eyes were bleeding, his limbs snapped like twigs, and he fell dead. Caleb slowly backed away but then was grabbed by a giant bloody hand.
"Going somewhere?" a female demon asked.
The female demon looked a lot like Alastor the Radio Demon. She had long, blood-red hair with the ends jet black. She had two tuff ears like Alastor, but they had big yellow eyes. Her skin was pale white with a few red spots. Her eyes were yellow, with the eyeballs being black instead of white or red. Her dress was white with red watercolors and two black and white striped cloths, one at her upper torso and one at her lower. She had a black bowtie and red high heels. She had two tails that looked like her tuff ears but had fanged mouths, one was smiling, and the other frowning. On her back were see-through bug wings. Día and Summer recognized her instantly.
"Bloody Mary!" Día called.
She turned to her and Summer with a smile and waved, "Hey, girls! Be with you in a minute. I got a gnat to squash."
Caleb growled, drew his gun, and tried to shoot her, but then a warp star swooped in, and in an instant, the shark demon's arm was cut clean off. After it fell off and blood spurted out, Caleb screamed in terror and fell on his ass.
Hovering in the air on a floating yellow star was another female demon – a barn owl demon like Stolas, Via, and Kyo. Her hair was white with a very faint shade of light blue, as were her tail feathers, but the ends of her feathers were bright green like her eyes. She wore a short skirt dress with open shoulders –black and blue with a white design on her chest. Her fingerless gloves were all black. In her hand was a shining sword with a yellow blade, a glowing golden crystal, and a green spiral handle – it looked like something in Kingdom Hearts. Día and Summer knew her as well.
"Kely?!" Summer called.
Kely gave her a wink with a smile. Then more armed demon henchmen showed up, but they were attacked as they were about to shoot them. From above, a third female demon was raining incendiary firepower on them. For a moment, Día and Summer mistook her for Angel Dust with her four arms and fashion similar to Angel's. It wasn't Angel. It was his twin sister, Molly.
When she landed on the ground, she danced a fantastic display of carnage, killing demons left and right. Her Tommy Guns shot up the henchmen demons, and they lit up in purple flames. It was over in a few minutes. Only Caleb was left. He was hunched against the wall next to a dumpster. He tried using his necktie as a tourniquet, but it was not working well. All the ladies walked over to him.
"You have no idea what you've done. You made yourself an enemy of the VVV! I got friends in high places. They'll come after you!" Caleb yelled.
"You're not the first to tell me that," Molly said with her hands on her hips.
"And you won't be the last," Bloody Mary added.
"Bitch! We're gonna slaughter you! We'll burn this whole town down, and I'll watch the crows eat your whore bodies—!"
BANG!
Before he could finish that sentence, the top of his head exploded from a gunshot, leaving an absolute bloody mess with his blood and brains splattered on the wall. The girls looked over to see Día aiming her gun at Caleb with a hint of smoke exiting the barrel.
She blew the smoke out and said, "Nobody talks to my friends like that."
"Damn straight," Kely said.
"Día! Summer!" Molly hollered excitedly.
She lifted both girls in a big bear hug. The girls' faces were buried in Molly's large, sweet chest fluff, much to anyone's delight.
"What are you two doing here? You should have called me!" Molly said.
"Yeah, this town has gotten crazy since the war started," Bloody Mary added.
"Actually, Molly, we're looking for you, and we would have called, but we lost our phones," Summer said.
"Can we talk somewhere more private? Maybe your place?" Día requested.
"Yeah, sure!" Molly said.
Later
Molly's penthouse was amazing and secure. Once everyone was in, they settled down to have a drink.
"How's Pink Shores? Still a fun city?" Día asked.
"Oh yeah, but a lot has happened since the Civil War started. Things have been crazy here," Molly answered.
"We heard you girls are working in Nightmare City," Kely said.
"Yeah, at the Duke's club. Cool gig," Summer replied.
"So, what brings you here to our paradise?" Bloody Mary asked.
Día and Summer looked at each other. Molly, Kely, and Bloody Mary caught their serious looks.
"At the club, we ran into someone very interesting . . . Cody Laurent," Día stated.
The three girls' eyes widened.
"He's helping Princess Charlie find Angel Dust and Husk. They're both missing, and Charlie and Vaggie are really worried," Día said.
"Sir Cody is helping Charlie, huh? That's interesting. Is she still running that hotel in Pentagram City?" Bloody Mary asked while looking at her Brandy.
"She is. There's more. Cody wants to find your brother because he may have answers he and his friends are looking for," Día stated.
Molly raised an eyebrow, "Answers? What answers?"
"Valentino somehow got to the surface and killed Cody's parents," Summer answered.
Molly gasped while the other two were shocked and confused.
"He killed them? Why?" Kely asked.
"Because Cody's parents were Soul Smugglers. Sinner Coyotes. They smuggled souls from here in Hell up to the surface. The angels are denying many innocent people into Heaven's gates. Angel Dust and Husk actually achieved atonement but were denied into Heaven. They went to Cody's parents for help. Valentino caught wind of this and killed them," Summer explained.
"Now that Val's dead, Angel Dust shouldn't have to worry about him. Your brother was the last to see Cody's parents alive, and he was wondering if he knew any info about the corrupt angels and why their denying people. We don't have the whole picture, but something is going on, and Cody and his friends are trying to find out what. So, we came to ask if you've seen or heard from Angel Dust," Día continued.
Molly and her two girls said nothing. They were stunned, especially Molly. She slowly placed her glass on the table before walking to the window. She took several deep breaths.
"So . . . you redeemed yourself, Anthony," Molly breathed. Then she softly chuckled with a sob, "You fool . . . why didn't you come to me?"
Bloody Mary and Kely comforted her. Kely hugged her from behind while Bloody Mary kissed her shoulder. After a while, Molly pulled herself together.
"Angel . . . I haven't seen or heard from him, but after Valentino was killed, he sent me a letter," Molly said.
She pulled out a letter and handed it to Día and Summer. They opened it and read it.
My Dear Molly,
Words alone can't express how sorry I am for what I did. I was suffering, and you wanted to help. If I had known that you would have killed yourself after I OD, I would have tried harder to quit. We lived in an indecent place and time when we were alive, and I thought things couldn't change for us, especially in Hell. I was wrong. Something wonderful happened to me, Molly. I fell in love. Yeah, your twin brother Anthony? In love? Bullshit, right? Well, it's true, and I would love for you to meet him. But things are really complicated and dangerous right now.
It's hard to explain, but something amazing happened. It's better I show you rather than tell you. I don't know when I'll be able to meet you. Some dangerous humans and demons are after us, but I promise I will. There's something big going on between Heaven and Hell. The angels, the demons, the Overlords, the royal demons, this human organization called I.S.N.A., and Cody Laurent it's all connected. Cody is the key to it all, somehow. Or at least, that's what Husk says, and he's usually right.
We've met some Grimms, real ones, and they're helping us, and they want us to help them. They want to meet Cody before I.S.N.A. gets their dirty hands on him. If you find Cody, stick with him! He's the key to it all, somehow. Once things have cooled down on our end, I'll come to see you. I promise.
I love you, Molly. This will all make sense. Be safe and be careful who you trust.
Your brother, Anthony
Día and Summer were stunned and intrigued.
"Cody is the key? What does that mean?" Día asked.
"It's all connected? How? And he found the Grimms?" Summer questioned.
"We're just as confused as you are," Bloody Mary said.
"We don't know what to make of it," Kely added.
Molly finished her drink and leaned forward, "You two know Cody, right?"
Día and Summer nodded.
"Is there any chance that I can meet him?"
