"This is your wake-up call. Time to get up."
Groaning in irritation Bakugo carefully peeked his eye open and sure enough he came face to face with a grinning Kirishima. "Oh, what the hell are you still doing here?" he croaked out feeling his throat dry and raw.
"Yeah, your welcome by the way." Kirishima said standing up and making sure Kaminari was also doing the same. "We had quite the slumber party here last night guys."
"Oh, fuck off." Bakugo winced when he tried to sit up with the oncoming headache gathering strength like an oncoming storm and making his skull pound.
"What time is it?" Kaminari groaned trying to go back to sleep.
"7:30"
"Are you serious?!" Kaminari quickly tried to stand up but regretted it the next minute.
"Yeah, we better hurry." The red head said watching Bakugo walking to the bathroom to get ready. "Otherwise, Mr. Aizawa said they'll leave without us remember."
Running over to where the rest of class A and B were already waiting, the three boys let out a huge sigh of relief at not missing their bus ride just as Mr. Aizawa arrived.
"Woah you guys look like you had a rough night." Jirou said avoiding Kaminaris eyes.
"To put it lightly." Kirishima grinned back at the two.
"Alright now let's get one thing clear. This will be a weeklong trip, so I hope everyone has everything they need. Remember we were invited to come because of David shield so I expect everyone to be on their best behavior."
"Yes Mr. Aizawa." They said in unison.
"With that being said, everyone hurry and get on. We still have a long way to cover before we arrive by plane."
Once in the air Bakugo was hoping to get some shut eye since the flight would take them a few hours. Wincing and rubbing at his temple he grunted when Kirishima sat himself next to him holding out a bottle of aspirin. "Here, I got them from Yaoyorozu. They should help, I already gave Kaminari some."
Already opening the bottle before Kirishima had finished talking, he wasted no time downing them down with water hoping it would help. The first time he was ever drunk, and it wasn't even by choice. "I'm going to kill whoever did this shit." He grumbled, closing his eyes, and leaning his head back waiting for the aspirin to finally kick in.
"Hey, do you think it was Camie?" Kirishima hesitantly asked, brows knit together since he didn't want to just accuse anyone, but after what Bakugo and Kaminari had told him last night, he wasn't so sure anymore. It would make sense since she did follow after all.
"Don't know." Bakugo said still leaning back. "But I wouldn't put it past her."
"Still can't believe she did that man." Kirishima shook his head disapprovingly.
"She better hope I never see her again." Bakugo said with a hard tone.
"Are you gonna try and talk to Uraraka again?" Kirishima quietly asked when he saw Bakugo staring towards the front where she was talking with Tsu.
The hurt look on her face replayed over and over in Bakugos mind, never ending and slowly peeling away at his heart each time knowing she was getting farther and farther away from him.
"You have no idea how much I want to. But I feel like if I did, she'd either tell me to go to hell or slap me again or do both." Hearing the red head chuckle next to him Bakugo tried to shoot him a nasty glare but still didn't have the full energy to do so.
"Relax man, this is all just a big misunderstanding. All you guys have to do is talk things out. Mina and I have our little fights here and there too, we're not perfect, not a lot of relationships are." Kirishima said watching him staring out the window now. "Just let her cool off first. It'll be fine after that trust me."

Jolting her head up Uraraka was surprised to find she had drifted off to sleep a few hours ago and could see almost everyone fast asleep with the cabin lights on, the sound of faint snoring in the background. "What time is it?" she muttered to herself, checking her wristwatch she furrowed her brows at the fact that they should have already landed. "Tsu?" Turning her head, she saw her friend fast asleep.
Deciding not to wake her she carefully floated herself up and over until her feet softly landed on the floor. On her way down the aisle and to the bathroom she could only see Kendo, Komori and Shoji still awake silently watching the movie that was playing. "Hey, do you guys know if we're supposed to be there soon?"
Frowning Kendo checked her phone. "I had the same question but haven't heard them mentioning anything."
"Maybe they just had a little delay since it is raining." Komori offered munching on some chips.
"Maybe." Uraraka said continuing on her track to the bathroom, grabbing onto the seats she passed to balance herself until she came to a stop in front of Bakugo and Kirishima who were also sleeping. Kirishima had his head leaned back while the ash blond was leaning against the window peacefully sleeping away.
When she felt her eyes soften, she furiously shook herself out of it locking those feelings away along with everything else and continuing on her way. What was done is done and there was nothing else that could erase that.
When the plane dropped slightly Bakugo jolted himself awake when his forehead bounced against the window, cursing under his breath he rubbed his sore neck. Yawning he saw the red head still sleeping then turned to look out the window where all he could see was the dark sky filled with rain and the flashing lights from the plane.
Deciding he needed to stretch his legs, he wasn't the slightest bit gentle when trying to walk past Kirishima knowing that bastard could sleep through anything.
Sluggishly walking down the aisle, he patiently waited for the bathroom door to open, tiredly rubbing at his heavy eyelids until he heard the click and opening of the door. "Finally." He grumbled, opening his eyes he saw a pair of familiar browns staring back at him with an unreadable expression on her face which for Uraraka was strange.
Silently nodding he stepped sideways to allow her to pass, which she did and made it a few seats down until they felt the plane drop again. With a yelp she grabbed onto the closest seats.
"The hell?" Balancing himself against the door he saw some of the other students slowly opening their eyes when the plane started rattling almost sounding like the rumbling of an earthquake.
"This isn't good." Uraraka whispered eyes growing in size when she stared out the window.
"Where the fuck are the teachers?!" His eyes frantically bounced around with Shoji doing the same but when the plane dropped again, he felt his stomach doing the same. "Oh shit…"
"What's going on?!" Mineta screamed. "I don't wanna die!"
"Don't say that!" Mina shouted.
"Oi!" Snatching Uraraka by the shoulder before she lost balance, he quickly saw the pale look on her face carefully sitting her down on an empty seat close by. "Everyone strap yourselves in!" he shouted to all their classmates watching her fingers nervously fumble with it and the oxygen masks come down.
Once she was strapped in, he quickly got to his feet locking eyes with Shoji. "Let's check what the hell's going on here." When he felt her hands shot out desperately grabbing onto his sweater, he peered down realizing she was clearly in shock and gently removed her grip. "I'll be back ok."
"I'll go with you guys!" Sero said following them down the aisle and fastening anything that could be dangerous or lose.
"Oh my god oh my god…." Hagakure whimpered huddled together with Ojiro who was trying to sooth her and screaming along with everyone when the plane continued to drop and shake.
"They're gone! They're all gone!" Sero came running back panic written all over his face.
"What do you mean they're all gone?!" Kaminari screamed looking over one of the seats.
"No one's flying the damn plane." Bakugo growled walking up behind Sero. "Meaning some of us need get our asses out there before we fuckin crash in the ocean."
"Midoriya's not waking up!" Tsu said desperately trying to wake the One for All user. "Neither is Tokoyami or Todoroki!"
"Damn it." Bakugo said between clenched teeth staring out one of the windows. The more time they wasted doing nothing the closer it came to crashing.
"Dude you can't, it's raining!" Sero shouted when Bakugo stubbornly started walking to the emergency exit when the plane suddenly started descending at a rapid pace and everyone started screaming.
He tried to lift himself up while grabbing onto anything he could, his heart and stomach being pulled down along with it but just as it started it suddenly stopped when he saw a familiar faint pink glow surrounding the plane.
"I can…do this…" Uraraka breathed out, firm fingers gripping the seat in front of her, concentrating all her strength and focus on every part of the plane and only the plane. Her eyes were closed trying to will her quirk to activate all around them hoping to keep them up as much as possible. "I can…"
Ignoring all their shocked faces he could see her trembling and the sweat already beating down her face, probably due to the nausea trying to make its powerful appearance and the amount of weight she was trying to hold up all on her own.
"Good going...really good going…." Kaminari frantically grabbed his chest in relief.
"Monoma?" Kendo curiously asked watching her classmate get out of his seat, briefly placing his hand on top of Uraraka he sat himself on her left to try and use his quirk and help keep them up.
"Uraraka…" Slowly walking over to her Bakugo could see that she was already past her limit, her body shaking uncontrollably as she struggled to keep the plane afloat while the others tried to come up with a plan or trying to wake the few classmates that wouldn't wake.
"This isn't good." Monoma shook suddenly feeling the side effects of her quirk. "How is she doing this?"
"Have…to…" Her vision started to blur, she desperately tried shaking it off when her hold on the plane slightly wavered hearing everyone scream again. Gritting her teeth almost painfully so, she continued to take slow even breaths in and out even as her vision started to falter and darken, she wouldn't let go, she couldn't.
Growling in frustration Bakugo tried to think about what they could do pointing at Shoji. "Check and see where the hell we are and if there's anywhere we can land this thing!"
"Got it."
Walking back over to her he crouched down. "Uraraka, you got this. I know you do just keep it up a little longer ok." He said placing a warm comforting hand on her shoulder knowing that it was already taking a toll on her, he saw her nod in determination closing her eyes and willing herself to do whatever she could to keep them up.
The only question was for how long?
Her body became heavier and heavier, the connection threatening to leave her fingertips at any moment.
"Arms?!" Bakugo shouted over his shoulder when she let out a strained cry.
Straining against the weight Monoma shook his head the sudden feeling of passing out overwhelming him. "Too much!"
"I see a patch of land not too far ahead!" Shoji came running.
Pointing at Tsuburaba and Awase Bakugo motioned for them to follow towards the emergency exit. "As soon as I blast this door make sure you two seal it behind me."
"Wait don't tell me you're about to go out there?!" Mina screamed.
"Obviously." He rolled his eyes. "I'll try and give it a boost just brace yourselves for the impact."
"You can't!" Iida said frantically waving his arms.
"And the rain?!" Sero reminded him.
Keeping his back towards them, he got ready to blast his way out. "Just get ready."
"Bakugo you can't-" Sero and the others started arguing to try and stop him from going.
"Shit." Turning her head, Uraraka saw Monoma's eyes closing slumping down in his seat.
She didn't know how much time passed as they continued arguing. All the voices felt muffled to her ears, and everything seemed to move in slow motion as the weight of the plane left her all at once.
"Oh no…" she gasped eyes wide, her vision darkened but not before she heard the sudden screams of everyone around and someone protectively wrap their arms around her head and body, with the faint smell of caramel next to her.
X
The first thing that hit her was the salty air and the calming sounds of waves nearby as she lazily fluttered her eyelids open, her hand automatically rubbing her throbbing head.
"Easy, try not to get up too fast."
"Hmm?" She was greeted with the gentle voice of Yaoyorozu staring back at her. "Momo what happened?"
"We all took quit a hit to say the least." She gestured to some of their classmates who, just like Uraraka had been knocked out for not sure how long but could clearly see that it was already morning.
"Where is everyone else?" she asked hoping everyone was ok.
"We're still waiting on some to wake, while everyone else went to scout the island."
"Island?" Looking around Uraraka scolded herself for not noticing sooner that the sounds she was hearing were indeed the sound of the jewel blue ocean in front of them stretching out as far as the eye could see.
"I'm afraid from the looks of it, there doesn't seem to be anyone here but us." Iida said walking up to them. "It's good to see you're up Uraraka."
"Thanks Iida." She said giving him a small hug in return.
After a few more hours went by, she was slowly greeted by some of the others who started making their way back one by one.
"Uraraka!" Deku waved running up to her. "How are you feeling?"
"I should be asking you that." She grinned, giving him a hug.
"Yeah, sorry about that." He sheepishly rubbed the back of his head. "I guess some of us were pretty knocked out."
As if understanding her confusion Yaoyorozu elaborated. "Since all the teachers were missing, along with some of the students who were knocked out, we believe it wasn't coincidence that we landed here. At least we hope not."
"But why would they do something like that?"
"Because they're assholes." Bakugo cut in exiting the forest with the rest of the group.
"Bakugo!" Iida scolded lifting his arms up and down.
"Well, it's true and I bet you're all thinking the same." Made it a point to see if anyone thought otherwise but by the looks of it, he guessed right. "From what we could tell there hasn't been anyone on this damn place for god knows how long. So, it's pretty much deserted."
"Better than having a bunch of crazy starving people around." Kaminari said carefully eyeing the forest inside the island.
"Where the hell do you guys even get this shit?"
"Movies." Both Kaminari and Mina said.
"Of course." Bakugo exhaled loudly both at their joint answer and because he was relieved to see Uraraka awake and well.
"I swear Mr. Aizawa makes it his personal goal to step on my happiness." Mina pouted.
"I don't think it's personal." Deku frantically waved his hands.
"Oh, it is now." Mina raised her brows gesturing to their surroundings. "How the heck are we supposed to stay out here for what -a week?!"
"You make it sound like it's so bad." Sero said eyeing the place as well.
"Well, it is! There's no showers, no bathrooms, no restaurants, no shopping malls, no form of entertainment…"
"Wait that's what you're worried about." Ojiro scratched his head.
"In part…"
"Look I hate to agree with tape face, but if that's the case then we just have to make do with what we have."
"Meaning?" Tsunotori asked.
"Well for starters Shitty hair, Pikachu and arms managed to find most of our luggage's. We'll go through them and see what we can and can't use, find some kind of first aid kit and all that."
"Right, we should also get a team together that'll be in charge of figuring out shelter for us to sleep in." Kendo said.
"And food?" Mineta asked questioningly at Bakugo along with the others.
"Hah?!"
"Well, you've gone camping and stuff, right?" Kaminari pointed out.
"Yeah, but I'm not a damn wild woods man!" He scowled crossing his arms.
"We should find fresh water too." Yaoyorozu said receiving a nod from the explosive blond.
"Without drinking water we're pretty much fucked. Food wise fish, any kind of meat that's edible, vegetables, fruits…"
"Alright so good news is we have a walking cooler and heater." Mina pointed at Todoroki, Bakugo, and Kaminari. "We have electricity…but how are we supposed to get food?"
"We'll just have Anima lure the animals to us." Bakugo said matter of factly making Koda gawk and almost fainting at the suggestion.
"He doesn't mean it." Uraraka reassured the quiet boy.
"I'm afraid he does." Kirishima gave Koda an apologetic grin.
Feeling his mouth twitch Bakugo lifted his hands in defeat. "Fine then, fish it is."
"Ok but what about bathrooms…showers?" Hagakure asked.
"We don't need it just do it out there." Bakugo waved his hands towards the forest.
"WHAT?!" They all shouted.
"A-Anyway…" Deku quickly said. "As far as water and showers go, we did find a small stream that seem to have clear water so that's a plus."
"And what if we need anything else?" Hagakure asked, turning to Yaoyorozu along with the others.
"Oh no…this seems to be a perfectly good way for us to broaden our skills and experience. After all I'm sure that's one of the things the teachers want us to learn. Right Iida?" she said turning to the class rep to back her up.
Fixing his glasses Iida cleared his throat. "O-Of course Yaoyorozu right. But in the event we do need anything…"
"Yay Iida!" Hagakure happily clapped him on the back.
Gasping at the class rep Yaoyorozu saw him nervously lifting his hands. "Other than training camp I don't have experience outside of the city!"
"I suppose if there is drastic need then… yes." Yaoyorozu reluctantly agreed. "Now, we also need a group to find some food right now." She said accepting those who volunteered to go.
"If you find Kale, berries, cantaloupe anything edible it'll help." Bakugo said over his shoulder and walking towards the ocean.
"And how will we know what's edible or not?" Shoda asked.
"If you try some and either throw up or die then it's a good bet that it's probably poisonous."
"Um…?" Exchanging unsure looks, the small group made their way into the forest hoping that that wouldn't be the case.
"Right." Shinso shook his head following them.
"Leaves of three, let them be right?" Hagakure cheered patting Shoda's shoulder.
"Just make sure you don't wander off too far. We don't know what's all in there." Deku shouted hoping they'd be ok. "Where are you guys going?" he asked watching Bakugo and Kirishima grabbing some branches from a nearby tree.
"Going fishing." Kirishima grinned. "Wanna help out?"
"Sure." Deku and Todoroki said.
An hour later Uraraka, Tsu, Mina, Kendo, and Monoma were still sitting in the sand going through some of the luggage's.
"Frankly I'm amazed at how much you can fit in all these bags. Ribbit." Tsu said going through another one of Minas bags.
"Hey, you can never have too many and besides now I know why Mr. Aizawa was 'gracious' enough to have me bring them all." Mina pouted knowing sand would get on everything.
Rolling her eyes Kendo kicked Monomas legs who was lazily laying on his back. "Get up and help!"
"Why?" he said keeping his eyes shut.
"Because I sure as heck won't go through the boys' stuff and I'm sure neither will they." Mina said watching the other girls' cheeks flush. "Who knows what we'll find in there."
"Hey, at least mine's not that bad." He smugly said.
"Alright." Kendo smirked grabbing the luggage she knew was his. "Then let's check shall we."
Snatching it from her grasp Monoma was sitting next to her the next minute. "On second thought fine, I'll help you guys out. Like you said who knows what those guys keep in there."
"Uh-huh…" they all share disbelieving looks.
"Hey Mina take a picture!" Kirishima shouted standing atop some rocks with the guys busy fishing being knee deep in water holding a makeshift spear. "How manly is this?"
Snapping a picture Mina gave him a thumbs up. "Looking good babe!"
Removing her gaze, Uraraka scolded herself at the start of a small blush creeping up when she saw a certain ash blond boy concentrating on the fish close by until he finally caught one with a triumphant smirk.
"HAHA YEAH I GOT ONE!"
Staring at the calm blue ocean Uraraka saw something familiar and green wash up on the shoreline. "Seaweed?"
Tilting her head Kendo slowly nodded.
"Yeah!" Kaminari yelled from where he was trying to make a giant S.O.S in the sand just in case. "It's got lots of vitamins and minerals and the good thing is there's plenty around." When he heard everyone get quiet with dumbfounded expressions on their faces he shrugged. "What? I know stuff."
Blinking the surprise away Bakugo threw his fish in one of the buckets Yaoyorozu left for them. "Yeah, it works great for seasoning too."
"So, seaweed it is." Uraraka stood dusting the sand off her clothes.
"I'll go with you." Mina hopped to her feet pointing a warning glare at Monoma. "Don't let pervy over here anywhere near my stuff."
"Hey!" He frowned when Tsu and Kendo chuckled.

Reaching down to grab more seaweed they both continued walking along the shoreline enjoying the calm sounds of the ocean waves slamming against the shore and tickling their feet.
"Wanna talk about it some more?" Mina quietly asked, knowing how the wound was still fresh for her but wanting her to know she was there for her nonetheless.
"Not really…" Uraraka quietly picked up some more letting out a long deep breath. "I mean… here we are stranded on this island wherever here is, we almost died crashing on an airplane, I failed to keep us up with my quirk and then…" she trailed off not even needing to explain the rest since Mina was the only other person who knew what happened last night since she had found her crying in her room the whole night.
"Not going to lie, a lot's happened. And no, you didn't fail girl if anything you gave us more time to at least land here. Who knows where we would've ended up." Mina wrapped her arms around her as they walked. "And with the other thing, I can only give you my opinion if you truly want it."
Titling her head Uraraka patiently waited for her to continue.
"Have you talked to him at all? Bakugo, I mean. Because all I've seen you do is pretend as if he's barely even here -hey, don't give me that look because you know I would do the same thing or probably worse." Mina giggled giving her an affectionate squeeze when Urarakas gave her a defensive pout. "Not that I don't find that slap nice."
"Alright." Uraraka grumbled, turning her head to stare at the water.
"But what I would suggest is that if you're too mad to talk to Mr. Explosion murder right now then talk to Kaminari."
"Kaminari?" Uraraka blinked in confusion. "What does he have-"
"That's all I'll say." Mina said, removing her arms. "I'd suggest talking to Bakuboy himself but that's up to you. But if you would rather forget about the whole thing including him then that's fine too. But if you don't want to forget then you know what the mature thing to do is."
"Mina, I just don't want to get hurt again and after last night…I just can't. Whenever I think about it…it all just comes rushing back and I don't know what to do but get angry and…"
"I know babe, I know." Grabbing the small bucket with the seashells Mina gave her one more serious look. "You both are still new at all of this, and I know you're still angry, and anger can lead to us regretting some of our decisions later but believe it or not communication is key to any healthy relationship and that's something that you'll eventually learn."
After Mina walked back to the rest of the students Uraraka decided to stay a little bit longer. Even though they had guessed that this island had been deserted, she still didn't expect it to be as quiet as it was. The only other time she had the chance to visit the beach was last year with the Bakugos.
Breathing in the strong smell of salt water she let the song of the waves sooth her and help her try and clear her head. Closing her eyes, she smiled when she felt the water brush against her bare feet, she could feel clumps of seaweed wash up on the beach as a reminder that it was time to probably head back and see how everyone else was doing.
By the time she got back they already had a fire going with what she could assume to be dinner along with some makeshift areas for them to sleep in and provide cover from the weather should it rain. Plopping herself down next to Todoroki and Tsu she saw everyone talking around the fire telling stories or talking about their next move for the next day.
"Here." Todoroki said handing her a bowl. "You should eat."
"Thanks." She smiled, looking down and trying but failing to figure out what exactly it was.
"Don't ask." Tsu said with a grin. "But it does taste good."
"Oh um…ok…" she said unsure of what she saw until she took a bite, and all her taste buds went crazy. "Oh wow." She said, getting a nod from Tsu. It didn't take much to realize who helped make the food, which let her to notice that there was one person missing. "Hey Tsu…"
"Yeah?"
"Where's- I don't see everyone here."
"Hmm?" Turning Tsu looked around. "Oh right, after cooking dinner Bakugo just left, didn't really say where though. We did save him some food."
"Right." Pressing her lips together she pretended that it didn't bother her as much and continued eating.
"Hey how about we tell some scary stories?" Tetsutetsu eagerly said.
"NO!" Everyone in class A said.
"Oh come on it'll be fun! I'll even start." He offered lifting a finger to his cheek.
"Are we seriously doing this again?!" Mineta jumped to his feet eyes big as saucers.
Grinning Kirishima gave him a playful nudge. "Is this because of-"
"NO!" Mineta dangerously pointed his finger. "We will not talk about the Lady of the forest! It is forbidden."
"Erm…the what now?" Tetsutetsu raised a curious brow.

The next couple of days came and went, she could tell there were some who were already starting to get antsy, and she couldn't blame them. While others decided to take this time as a mini vacation such as Ojiro, Kirishima, Sero, Deku and Kaminari.
So once nighttime fell and she was done with dinner, Bakugo once again was nowhere in sight.
She started making her way to where she guessed he had gone off to based on the footprints left behind and could see him far off in the distance sitting with his back against a tree holding something.
Taking a deep breath to calm herself she slowly started approaching him while his gaze remained glued to the ocean waves.
"Hey, since you missed dinner, I brought you this." She said holding out the bowl.
Grunting he kept his gaze on the water while placing a plant to his lips.
"Mind if I sit?" she asked hoping to get something out of him, but he just shook his head.
Sitting down she curiously turned to follow his line of sight wondering what was so important until she heard splashing.
"See those?" He pointed his finger after a while.
Squinting her eyes, she could fairly make out something large moving in the water until her eyes widened in panic waving her hands. "Are those sharks?!"
Smirking, he shook his head. "Whales actually. They usually come out around the same time everyday."
"Really?" She looked on in amazement as she heard some more splashing. "Is that what you've been doing out here?"
Shaking his head, he looked down at his watch. "No, but it's relaxing to see."
"Oh." Looking down at her hands she was unsure of what to say next until she saw the plant against his mouth. "So, what are you doing?"
Chuckling, he looked down at his watch again. "Checking to see if these are fine."
Pivoting sideways she could now see a pile of the same plant next to him. "You mean…"
"To eat." He said finally removing it from his mouth. "Just testing it first, but I'm pretty sure they're fine."
Nodding she nervously placed a piece of hair behind her ear unaware of the small smile that crossed his lips. "I-I've been wanting to thank you before about what happened on the plane."
"What are you talking about? You're the one who did all the work."
"But I didn't-"
Scoffing, he shook his head leaning his elbows on his knees and staring forward. "Yeah, you did. You should stop doubting yourself and recognize that you are capable of a lot of things and stronger than you give yourself credit for. I mean you held up a damn plane cheeks and if it weren't for that, who knows where we would have landed."
"Now you're sounding like Mina." She couldn't help but give a small smile.
"Yeah, well… I guess some things aren't completely lost on her." He mumbled.
"Hmm." Looking back over the water she felt her shoulders relaxing at the soothing sounds.
Sneaking a quick glance at her, he could see the blissful look in her eyes as she continued to watch the whales moving. He was surprised that she'd even sit next to him let alone talk to him and decided to voice just that.
"You're talking to me again." He quietly said regretting it when he saw that blissful look disappear and her fidget next to him.
"Yeah well…" She awkwardly started. "We figured you'd be hungry so…"
"Right." he let his eyes fall to the sand. "You should head back, it's getting late."
"Huh?" Snapping her head in his direction she saw him now eyeing the plant. "Aren't you going to eat?"
"It's fine you can have it." He said giving her the bowl. "Or someone else."
"But-" she saw him taking a bite out of the plant carefully chewing it. "What dd you just do?!" she gaped.
"Hmm?"
"You just ate that!" she frantically pointed jumping in front of him. Without meaning to he quickly raised his hands in defense, after the slap he received last time who could blame him.
"Woah easy there Round-face! Watch those hands."
"You-you idiot!"
"Oi watch it…"
"NO!" she narrowed her eyes down at him frantically pointing her finger between him and the pile of plants. "Why would you do that?!"
"To check if it's ok." he said between chews. "I already told you I need to test it out. I chew it for a few minutes and if nothing happens then I'll eat it."
"WHAT?!"
Rubbing his lips to keep the giant smile from forming he continued. "Look if I'm fine after 8 hours or so then at least we'll have something else to eat alright. Besides, like I said I'm pretty sure this plant is fine."
"Pretty sure?!"
Tilting his head, he gave her a playful smirk. "Maybe…"
"Bakugo!"
"What? Just relax ok, it'll be fine. So just go get some rest."
"You expect me to just go to sleep after that?"
Still chewing, he silently reverted his gaze to the water.
"Fine." Puffing out her cheeks she stomped her way back to find everyone either fast asleep or about to.
"Hey Uraraka, you ok?"
"Just fine." She glared ignoring the shared looks Deku and Shinso gave and instead opted to lay down but stay awake in case her hot-headed classmate decided to tap out. 'I still can't believe he just did that!'
X
Lifting her heavy eyelids, she was surprised to see the sun already shining down on them. Sweat beaded across her brows and she could feel the shirt she was wearing glued itself stickily to her skin with the ongoing heat this island provided.
Realizing she had fallen asleep she quickly sat up. "Oh no…"
"Morning sunshine!" Kirishima gave her his toothy grin just in the process of putting his stuff away. "Some of us are getting ready to scout more of the area and find more food if you're up for it?"
Grabbing a fistful of his shirt to get his attention the red head just stared curiously at her. "Kirishima, have you seen Bakugo?"
"Bakubro? No, why?" He felt her release him as she angerly put her stuff away as well. "…everything ok?"
"No!" she glared, making him flinch. "Your genius friend had the idea to try eating some random plants to see if it was edible."
"Oh." Rubbing the back of his head Kirishima shrugged. "Yeah, well how else do you think we've been getting some of the stuff we've been eating. Besides, that guy knows what he's doing so I wouldn't worry about it."
"I-I'm not worried…" she stubbornly crossed her arms. "He can do whatever he wants."
Grinning Kirishima gave her a small nod. "Alright if you say so."
"I do." she said, making it clear and walking back in the same direction as last night before Kirishima stopped her.
"Hey, I'm sure he's doing fine Uraraka."
"Oh really? Can you be certain?"
"W-well no but-"
"Hey what's going on?" Deku said walking over with Shinso carrying twigs.
"Bakugo decided to eat something he shouldn't have."
"Really?" Shinso asked looking over his shoulder. "And here I thought we had to worry about watching Kaminari."
"Yeah, but apparently no one was watching Bakugo." She said placing her hands on her hips.
"Uraraka I'm sure Kacchan's fine." Deku said nervously following them.
"Oh no…" coming to a complete stop she could see him still leaning against the same tree unmoving.
"My bro!" Running forward Kirishima kneeled down next to him drawing the attention of everyone close by. "You don't think he's….?"
"Kacchan…"
"Try poking him with a stick, see if he moves." Mineta said already doing so.
"Poking the bear, really?" Jirou said.
"Come on man." Kirishima said, about to check his pulse.
"Don't touch him! He might be infectious."
"Mineta I don't think that's true." Sero said as some of the students took a discrete step back.
Moving some people aside, Uraraka kneeled down on the other side of him while Kirishima continued to check him.
"He seems normal."
Lightly tapping his cheek to see if it'll wake him, she held her breath along with everyone else. "Come on…"
Groaning, he slowly opened his eyes surprised to see everyone standing around watching him. "The fuck are you creepy fucks doing?!"
"He's talking…" Hagakure whispered.
"You're alive!" Kirishima cheered shaking his shoulders. "I thought we lost you man!"
"Hah?"
"Yeah, Uraraka told us you ate something, and we weren't sure if you were ok." Deku said equally as relieved.
At the mention of her name, she quickly averted her eyes out of embarrassment knowing he was watching her and quickly moved away to give him some space, but also felt a huge sense of relive wash over her.
Turning his attention back to everyone else, he glared. "That's because I fell asleep morons!"
"Yup he's just fine." Jirou said standing back up and walking off with some of the others.
Rolling her eyes and clenching her fists in annoyance Uraraka quickly marched back leaving Bakugo and Kirishima blinking after her.
