"Shit…."
The unusual swear left the infamous radio demon's mouth as he slammed the door behind him. He looked at the sight of his new and improved radio room before him. It was similar to his old room, but was now filled with modern replicas of his old furniture and decorations as most of his original things had been destroyed in the battle. He sighed at the thought of losing so much of his old possessions, all authentic pieces from his time of death, but couldn't find himself to focus on the thought, as a pulsing pain in his chest quickly reminded him of the more important matter at the moment.
Alastor made a slow limp to his bedroom hoping it was still located where he had it last. He was relieved to see the door in the corner of his open parlor/radio room. He reached for the door handle to let himself in, only to clutch his chest wound in pain as he forced the door open. Alastor let another curse leave his lips as he almost fell into his room, but was thankfully able to catch himself as his hand latched out to the edge of his bedpost. He stopped for a minute, simply breathing in and out as he tried to catch his breath and push through the pain rushing through his chest once again.
God damn that angel, to be beaten was one thing, but to be beaten and brought to his knees by such a moronic jackass was almost as painful as the angelic magic coursing through his veins. He momentarily thought about asking for help from Charlie or even her father, but the thought made him want to rip his ears out. The thought of crawling to Lucifer of all people and having to be in his debt was a thought he just couldn't accept, he would rather die than make such an ask. And Charlie was already in his debt, if he asked for help from her and she saved his life, then there was a chance their deal would be null void by the action. And he doubts Charlie would be able to help heal him on her own without getting her father or someone else help, she may be the princess of hell but magic wasn't exactly her strong suit. And there was no one else to ask for help, no one that he trusted to not back stab him or force him into another deal in exchange. No one…..no one except-
"You look like shit"
Alastor shot up and looked around his room to find the source of the comment. No one that he could see, just his shelves, his reading chair, the closed door to his private bathroom, his closet, and his TV….Wait, Alastors eyes squinted as he slowly turned back to his 'TV' set that sat before him in front of his bed, since when did he get a TV. He took a closer look by moving his body slightly closer to the new device, but still keeping his hand held tightly to the bedpost he had been using as support. A brand new 65 inch TV sat before him on the small dresser he had located in front of his bed, with closer inspection and to his horror he saw the TV wasn't just any kind of run of the mill brand, but specifically a VoxTex TV. If the giant logo on the top of the device was anything to go by. When the hell did that get there, Alastor growled as he thought about it. Charlie and the others must have put it in here without thinking, but she knew his hatred of any new technology, let alone VoxTex, then it was probably Lucifer or maybe Husker or Angel Dust. He wouldn't put it past any of them to pull something like this.
"What's the matter," came the voice again, except this time Alastor noticed a spark of blue electricity shooting out of the TV antennas. Before his eyes the electric spark finally shot out of the antenna and struck the ground before his bed, and just as he slowly suspected the figure of the TV overlord appeared before him. "Missed me?" came the ever smug voice as their eyes finally met. Alastor's ears flattened at the sight, he quickly let go of the bedpost and made a show of standing tall before the shorter man. Doing his best to keep his signature smile while doing his best to glare at the demon before him. Vox gave a smile of his own, a simple smug grin as he made a show of whipping off imaginary dust from his suit. He slowly walked around the room, admiring the decor while showing the deer demon no attention, much to his annoyance.
"What do you want, Vox?" Alastor grimaces, doing his best to not let any pain slip into his voice and trying to sound calm and collected as always.
"What?" Vox asked innocently, stopping to hold and admire an old framed photo of Rosie and Alastor together, one of the only photos in the room. "Just wanted to check on you after the big fight you had, gotta say you lasted a little longer than I expected" He cooed as he gently set the photo down and finally made an effort to look at the demon. "Heard you had a nasty little slash during the fight, and such a shame, that suit did look so nice on you too" Despite the mocking tone of the TV demon, there was a subtle softness to the remark surprisingly, as though he was genuinely concerned about Alastor's wellbeing.
"I assure you I'm fine Vox," He growled, his eyes morphing into radio dials for a moment, before quickly changing back to his normal red pupils. He couldn't help but bring his hand up to once again cup his chest as the pain slowly began to rise, not again. "Now can you please do me the pleasure of fucking off back to where ever you crawled from" He heaved, Vox let out a laugh.
"My, my Alastor, no need to be so defensive, besides I wouldn't be so nasty to someone who might be able to help you" He spoke, slowly making his way towards the radio demon, treating him as the hurt wild animal he was acting like. Alastor finally snapped.
"I told you I DON'T NEED YOUR- AHHHH'' Alastor's threat was cut short as the pain finally became too much, spending a good portion of the day walking around as though he was normal had been murder. Especially without his staff to even offer any support it was a miracle that he didn't drop in front of the others all day. But the pain was becoming too much, his head began to spin and his sight became fuzzy, the wound had finally won, and the great radio demon overlord had finally met his match. Alastor looked up as he started to fall, looking into the bright red eyes of Vox, as his expression formed into one of fear and…..concerned. A final word left his mouth as the ground drew closer "...help"
"AL!" Came the shocked response as Vox successfully caught the other man before he fell face first to the ground. The angle was odd, but he quickly maneuvered the man in his arms before taking him to his bed to lay his body down. Once in bed Vox made his way back to Alastor's face to see if he was still conscious or not. Alastors eyes were closed, his breathing labored and his face (despite still having a smile, damned bastard) was still obviously in great pain. "God damn it" Vox muttered, he went straight to Alastor's jacket and undershirt making quick work of opening them up to see the damage on his chest. He winced at the sight, a horrid slash that started at his right shoulder and made a diagonal line all the way to his left hip. Only a pathetically small amount of gaze was wrapped around his chest to help keep the wound and blood from being too obvious to anyone. Once that was removed he could see the wound open like a bloodied eye blinking back at him, as it began to flow freely as it lost the gaze that acted as its only source of blockage. Vox groans before looking up at Alastor's face again, feeling a sense of mercy for the man, reaching a hand up to caress his pained face.
"Don't worry…." he whispered, caressing his face one last time before finally removing his hand from his burning face "I'll get you fixed up" taking a deep breath Vox went to work. Quickly sparking the supplies he brought with him from the TV into his hands, as he prepared himself to save the deer demon from his demise. He looked down at the wound once again in its bloody glory, a determined look on his digital face, only one thought in his mind.
'I have to save him…'
Hello my name is Desire and this is my first fanfiction! Well my first one in a while~
Sorry this one is so short, but I do plan on adding more, hopefully longer chapters. But I didn't want to push myself, I wanted to keep it simple and just put something out. Please feel free to ask questions or give critiques, I can't wait to write more!
