Hey everyone! I'm back from my trip to Washington D.C., I had a blast and now I'm back to present to you the next chapter of this story!

Some bit of BIG news today (June 1st, 2022): this story has officially reached 100,000 WORDS (as of Chapter 21) Hurray! That's a lot of words I've gotten to write on my desktop…that's roughly 200 pages of a novel that I've worked on since January 2022! Now that's INSANE if you think about it!

I sometimes ask myself: WHY THE HECK HAVE I NOT PUBLISHED AN ACTUAL ORIGINAL NOVEL FOR PEOPLE? Hehe, I kind of love writing fics more, honestly.

I never expected this story to get THIS LONG, it's almost as long as my flagship story: 50,000 Volts.

Well anyway, something of note: this chapter takes place during Episode 7 of "Riders of Berk" I hope you enjoy this new addition!

Chapter 21: Belin the Terrible

The next day…Hiccup tried persuading his father to take up dragon-riding to make Stoick's duties easier. Haddock modified the stirrup on Toothless to allow his father to ride. Let's just say it doesn't quite end well, at least at first.

For you see, Stoick the Vast still held on tradition, namely the Viking kind. His stubbornness to accept the way of dragons is still there. I guess I'll never get tired of that trait from these people…their stubbornness…heh.

Still, eventually, his son won him over and the man, over-eagerly, began riding Toothless more than he should have…much to Hiccup's dismay.

I stood next to him, watching Stoick on the teen Night Fury…the latter is not pleased by all this.

"How am I going to fix this…" I heard the boy next to me as I sit beside him. I just shrugged back, "These adventures we have on a day-to-day basis are starting to remind me of a Saturday morning cartoon…" I wailed softly yet there was a tingle of sarcasm in my words.

Never a dull moment in Berk…that's for sure.

Anyway, time goes by, and, to my surprise and by extension Hiccup as well, Vast gets things done in the Village riding Toothless. Oh jeez…I hope the man doesn't think he can replace his son as the dragon's rider…

As amusing as I find the idea, it's not feasible in the least bit. Furthermore, it's not right…Hiccup and Toothless are inseparable as a duo…there's no way even his father could break that connection.

As much as I had wanted to intervene, another adventure awaited me instead

You see, the twin, Tuffnut, had gone off on his own in the forest looking for who knows what and his sister became surprisingly concerned…though it was more out of annoyance than anything. Since Toothless had been busy with Stoick and Hiccup, Ruffnut came to me.

"Hey, little guy…you mind helping me with something?" She asked me when I was walking by Gobber's house.

Oh boy…here we go…this won't be anything good.

"My dumb brother went running into the woods…I better find him before dark…big scary baby is afraid of the dark" the fourteen-year-old girl said smugly.

Despite her looks, she must have assumed I had a great sense of smell to find him, and I do, which surprised me...maybe the twins aren't so vacant as I thought them to be. I guess I got nothing better to do anyways, so I just rolled my eyes and decided to help.

And so, the both of us entered the forest adjacent to Berk: patches of snow still existed around us, but the warmer day managed to melt most of it. The sound of birds and leaves rustling invaded my ears, and the smell of pine and mammalian scents made my nose twitch without end. We journeyed down a slope, past some tall rocks. The Viking girl just had to glance over to me with that silly face of hers, "so, when are you going to let Hiccup ride you again? He'll be needing a new dragon to ride soon" Ruffnut chuckled mischievously as I shook my head, looking away in second-hand embarrassment.

"You know, this could be a lot faster if you let me ride you" she added before I stopped and gave her the stink eye, a look like what Toothless gives when he's annoyed. The teen backs away a bit, startled by this but groans in return, adding more unnecessary weight on me, "oh come on, I pet you all the time!"

I scoff in return as we continued our trek down, "yea…and I should hate it…but my dumb dragon mind likes it…as if I'm a house cat…"

As she and I go back and forth in our one-sided conversation (language barriers aren't fun, fellow reader), a voice is eventually heard within the interior of the boreal forest, close to where the cove is…

The scent is unmistakable…it's definitely Tuffnut.

I motioned Ruff to follow behind as she does, "this way" I chirped to the teen.

We climb down a section of the cliff, very close to where the cove is…if Toothless hadn't sensed my presence in the lake the day we met…I reckon the Night Fury would have fallen in the cove this way…which would NOT have been good. Fortunately, I'm more experienced in this body by this point and I effortlessly climb down the rocky edge and land perfectly down below. Ruffnut had some trouble joining me since she's human…I can't believe I said that but it's true. Eventually, though, she does end up at the bottom beside me albeit annoyed, "I swear, you better fly us out of here when we find my brother…or no more pets for you!"

I smiled inwardly at this, my human side pleased by this, "yea…maybe I ought to do the opposite and leave you here, heh…" I look away, trying to scan the area…knowing that Tuffnut is very close by. It isn't long before my bright green eyes catch sight of him down below in the cove. I give a somewhat shaky sigh and get Ruff's attention, pointing down with a claw to her brother. Her face lights up almost immediately and, without any thought put into it, starts climbing down. I try and stop her, but I decided to climb down instead. As I landed down, I looked around in the cove, joining the two teens around the center.

"Oh…it's you…and you brought Little Toothless…what…you plan on using him to torch me?"

"I just might…" she laughed coldly in response.

I never thought I would come back here…to the cove…it seemed so long ago that I was here with Toothless…the last time I was here we had met Astrid and I was captured by the Queen. That was MONTHS ago. The whole vicinity doesn't look much different than it did before apart from the shoreline being partially frozen and snow dotting certain areas.

It isn't long before the twins start bickering and Ruffnut begins hitting her brother on the head for running off.

"It's not MY fault, this THING…is a menace!" Tuff retorted in defense.

"The only thing that's a menace is your stupidity" Ruff retorted back.

"You're one to talk!"

As they bicker, my right ear twitches up before I look in the direction of a strange sound coming from the rocks across from us. It's clear that only I can hear it thanks to my sensitive dragon ears.

Alarmed, I spin around, and chills run down my spine. It's a very strange sound that's echoing from the walls…it's alien. I quickly investigate as the humans behind me are distracted.

My nose tingles at the strange and unfamiliar scent…but what exactly could be hiding inside this small hole I wonder and why?

With no time to react, a greenish form had jumped out at me suddenly as I cried out in surprise! I fell on my back, hitting the ground with a thud as I backpedaled. The strange creature landed on my soft belly and ran up to my face to meet me head-on…almost to the point both our noses were touching! My green eyes focused on them immediately after:

"You should have seen the look on your face, Night Fury!"

I am wracked with confusion; the creature can hear me panting in response to its sudden appearance. In retaliation, and to fuel my ego I guess, I push them off. The teens across from me noticed my roar and came running to me. Before they had a chance to make it to me, the small dragon had scaled the rocky façade of the cove.

"That's them, that's the dragon that attacked me!" Tuffnut shouted, clutching his arm at the creature above us. Something in me made me unfurl my wings and take flight to chase after them.

"THAT is what had you all scared and angry…a Terrible Terror?" Ruffnut retorted, laughing at her sibling in response.

"Well, last time, one of them almost bit my nose off!" Tuff clapped back.

As if she didn't pay attention to what her brother said, she looked around for me in the cove, "Uhhh…little guy…where did you go…" she asked, realizing what just happened.

"Great…now I'm stuck in here with you…" the brother grumbled as she gave a death stare at him.

Meanwhile, I chased the green dragon across the forest, passing by the trees at incredible speed. The creature had NO chance to evade me.

Before I could stop them, they suddenly turned 180 degrees and waved their little arms at me, stopping me in my tracks. Before I could raise an eyebrow and ask questions, they suddenly hopped on my head and jumped off from it to escape!

"H-hey! Get back here! What's going on!?" I gave chase again, this time taking flight. Because of the many obstacles the forest had presented, it was hard for me to go as fast as I needed to…

The Terrible Terror just kept taunting me the rest of the way, much to my annoyance. Eventually, however, they were distracted by their jeers that they didn't manage to see the tree in front of them. The male Terror yelped before slamming straight into the bark. After they slid down the tree in a comedic fashion, I manage to pin them down with a paw, much to their dismay.

"Alright, enough of this, dragon…what ARE you doing!?" I hissed at them, my dragon side taking over for my sake. The greenish dragon now panicked as it saw my angered face…the face of a Night Fury when it's about to unleash its wrath on a victim.

"S-sorry! I thought I'd have some fun!" They muttered. They had a child-like voice to them…meaning they were probably around the same age as me.

"Look where that got you, now I got you in my claws…having fun now?" I muttered coldly, I thought I'd get my point across this way…probably not the best idea to win them over, but at the same time I needed answers, "now, you're going to tell me what you did and why you did it."

"O-okay, okay! Please don't hurt me!" They begged, panic slowly setting in. Truth be told I won't hurt them, but I kept a stern expression running down my black muzzle. Terrors are known to be swiftly and untrustworthy at times…and I've learned that over the weeks. Needless to say, this one is under my mercy…

"Talk."

"I-I saw the human village on my travels, and I decided to explore…."

"Wait, you're not from here…" I guess that makes sense…their scent is unfamiliar to me, "continue…"

"I…I took a fish from their basket and that human male came running after me…and I decided to play tricks on him…"

"He said you attacked him…" I growled, giving a tooth-filled snarl and a harsh glare back at them.

"I just hopped on his head and ran around him a few times…that's all…I swear, Night Fury!"

I pulled away a bit, looking away slightly…maybe Tuffnut was exaggerating…he tends to do that. He and Ruffnut are born exhibitionists after all.

"And this is the truth," I asked, my eyes softening into square ovals.

"I swear…"

"Okay…well…I'm going to get my paw off you…promise me you won't go around causing trouble again."

"O-okay…you got it!"

"Good" I lifted my paw, and they shake themselves like a dog to get rid of dirt. "Get going then" I decide to leave it at that and walk away, feeling our time together is done. Unfortunately, the Terror had other plans, "w-wait!"

I roll my eyes as I walk away, "what."

"You're a Night Fury…" they had a look of great curiosity on their small dog-like face as if they don't see my kind an awful lot…and it makes sense…Tooth's species are endangered, "thank you for making that observation" I retorted. I wasn't sure if I should be amused or annoyed by their ignorance but meh…

"You…are with those Vikings…" he asked unreservedly, now walking beside me. By now I found them mildly infuriating to say the least…I guess my experience with their kind made me feel this way, "why?"

"Why? Because I and my brother made peace with the Vikings" I responded cheekily.

"R-really? So, that's why I didn't see our kind slaughtering those humans in their nests…"

"It's a long story…" I roll my eyes as I head back to the cove to meet with the twins once again.

"Well, I would LOVE to know…" they demanded before I stopped moving, lowering my head toward the ground with a hefty sigh.

"Don't you got somewhere to be?" I glared at them. They sat on their legs like a dog, looking at me with puppy-dog eyes, "I…don't…."

I raise an eyebrow at this, "hmm?"

"I lost my parents…I…can't find them" they explained.

"Didn't you say you were traveling?" I turned around to circle them, trying to sense if they were telling the truth or not.

"I've been looking for them for days…" they lowered their head, suddenly hit with sadness.

I stopped, having been reminded of my excuse to Toothless when I first met him to lie about my human life…unlike me, this Terrible Terror's "excuse" seemed genuine.

"When was the last you saw them?" I asked with a soft warble.

"We were headed south, we roosted on a small atoll to rest. When I woke up, they were gone…" they sniffled in misery. The words they said carried sincerity. Did they have a reason to lie…not really…and their emotions seemed genuine.

"Well…maybe they're in Berk…who knows…" I placed a claw on my chin.

"Is this what this island is called?"

"Sure is…well…I guess if you don't got anywhere to go…I suppose you can stay with us…" In my mind, I frowned at the very thought. But…if they're telling the truth what will we do for them…they're just a kid…

"I…I don't know…it's pretty chaotic in that human settlement…" they muttered.

"You don't say…" I retorted, scoffing back.

I stopped, looking towards the sky in deep thought…my eyes becoming distant. Maybe…the Ex-Queen? I could take this dragon to her…she could take care of him until we can figure out what to do? I doubt Tuffnut would just let his anger over the little guy go away easily either.

I stared deep into the green reptile's eyes, making sure to be as serious as I can be, "Listen, there's somewhere I can take you where you will be safe…where there's other dragons. If you'd like me to take you there, I want you to wait here for me to come back…understand?"

They nodded, "a-alright…"

"Good…wait here" I finished before I set off for the cove, which wasn't far away. There, the humans saw me from below:

"Little guy is back"

"Don't tell me you lost them!?" Tuffnut angrily yelled at me. I just rolled my eyes and jumped down toward them. A few minutes later I helped them out and guided them out of the forest as the Terrible Terror watched from a branch.

By now it's sunset and the twins and I arrive at Berk once again.

"I guess I owe you one, little Toothless" Ruffnut said, petting me on the head. I can't help but chirp at them in response, much to their amusement.

"Yea…thanks for letting them get away…" Tuff retorted before his sister punched his shoulder, "h-hey!"

I don't say anything in return and leave them be for now. I return to the Terror hatchling in the forest where he waited for me, surprising…yes, I know…

The smaller green dragon watched as I landed beside them, curling my wings behind my back in the process, "are you sure you don't want to go back to the village and stay there?"

They shook their head, "humans are weird…" the lizard retorted.

I scoffed silently at this, looking away. Imagine if I tell 'em I'm human, I laughed inwardly at the possible scenario. But instead, I pointed my nose in the direction we will take, "come on."

The Terrible Terror followed closely behind as I took them out of the island and into open waters…toward Dragon Island.

As we flew, I slowly look over my shoulder toward the smaller creature flying beside me, raising an eyebrow, "so…what's your name?" I asked quizzically.

"Name?"

"Right…well…we need something to call you by…I'm NOT going to call you Terrible Terror every time we meet…" I grunted and they seem to have understood.

"What do you have in mind, Night Fury?"

"How about…" I shifted my eyes back and forth, "Belin?" That name seemed to have crossed my mind for NO reason whatsoever…I don't even know where I pulled it from, but I'm not going to call dragons I meet silly human names like "Bob" or "Tony" because that would be ridiculous.

Heh…inside my head I laughed at the name…Belin the Terrible.

"I guess?" They retorted, "would you LIKE to call me by that title, strange dragon?" They raised a scaly brow and I shrugged in midair, "do you like it?" I countered.

"I guess."

"Then that'll be your name from now on."

"W-what's your name…did the humans give you one?" They asked sincerely and I chuckled.

"I go by the name, Flint."

"Oh…I see, nice to meet you, Flint."

"Back at you, Belin."

Sometime later, we landed on the charred soil where I am greeted by the other dragons and the Ex-Queen. At first, the green reptile beside me is scared, but I encouragingly tapped them with my nose, trying to calm them, "it's alright, they're a tribe. They will help you."

They say nothing and instead look up towards the behemoth inside the broken volcano, which by now had begun to grow leaves on its side.

"This dragon had been separated from its parents, I hoped that I could entrust them with your care?" I tilted my head to the side, sitting down on my legs.

The colossus slowly nodded, offering a paw at the Terror, who hesitates at first.

"Go on, it's okay…please, you'll be safe here. I promise" I smiled softly and that act alone seemed to help. The creature climbed on the Ex-Queen's paw, and she lifted them up…placing the small animal on her shoulder, "welcome, young one."

"Their name is Belin, please take good care of them…" I asked of the Queen from below her and she nodded, "I will, Callahan."

By the way…

I thought in my mind so she could read it, and I can tell she did because I can sense her digging into my thoughts:

I've thought up a name for you, Queen…I hope you like it…

From my mind, she saw the mental image of a human-like creature dressed in white robes with elf-like ears…and a shiny crown that rested on their head. They have long flowing blonde hair that waved down their neck like a waterfall and a commanding yet elegant stature to their form. It's a character from a movie/novel that I saw/read as a human in my past…

How about we call you…Galadriel

The "tamed" dragon seemed to like the image for herself…the name and character appeared to compliment her voice and present mannerism perfectly. And so, she smiled…a smile that used to bring malice and dread to those who saw it…but now it's a smile that brought comfort to all.

I accept

Is all I heard from her in my mind.

Glad you like it, take care

She and the others, with now Belin, bid me farewell as I left the island for Berk.

Being left behind, the Terror looked toward the blind Ex-Queen, who asked curiously, "would you like to see the interior of my domain?"

"Sure!"

As all these events transpired, Astrid suggested to Hiccup that he use a method to get Stoick the Vast off Toothless once and for all. Haddock presents his father with a selection of dragons he could ride, but none seem to fit him or they him…I should say…man is of colossal build and even with Toothless I can tell it was hard having the human ride on his back for long periods. I was watching from above the Academy when suddenly we see Gobber enter the arena, warning of a rogue dragon harassing Mulch and Bucket at sea.

Sure enough, I join Toothless, with Hiccup and Stoick riding on him. In the middle of the ocean, the four of us spot a dragon I had never seen before: what Hiccup calls…a Thunderdrum!

The feral dragon is harassing Mulch and Bucket on their vessel with some kind of sound-based attack! As the beast moves away, Toothless is instructed to fire a blast at the foe to defend the Vikings. The Night Fury retracted his fangs and shot a plasma ball at the creature. In response, the shark-like dragon tries to blow us all away with one of its screeches; however, I fly in to release one of my attacks.

As a result, the Thunderdrum dives into the water below and vanishes.

We all land on the deck, thinking the confrontation is over, but the Drum's tail wraps itself around Stoick and drags him into the sea!

Everyone, mouth gaped and momentarily confused, rushes over to the edge with shock. Before anything can be done, Vast reappeared, subduing the reptile with mighty effort…making all of us gasp in surprise.

"This is the one, Hiccup!" Stoick chortled proudly.

Some time passes by and the Berk chief's attempts to bond with the newly acquired dragon all but failed miserably and eventually, the Thunderdrum escaped. The Chieftain employed the services of the Dragon Riders to help find the "missing dragon."

Unlike other times before, I did not join, for I had gone to Dragon Island to check on the others.

I arrived on the volcanic island and see "Galadriel" along with the other dragons…but where was Belin?

I looked around for the small green dragon but could not find a trace of them anywhere. Suddenly, I felt something land on my head…as if a small bird had decided to perch on it, much to my annoyance. I look up and instead of finding a bird: I find the Terrible Terror sitting on my head.

"Did the Night Fury miss me?" The child dragon asked cheekily. In return, I shake him off my head and they yelped in response, but they save themselves from hitting the ground just in time. I playfully roll my eyes back, walking up to the behemoth in front of us, "had enough of him yet?" I chuckled.

She appeared confused but couldn't help but look toward the other dragons around her who also shrugged in confusion.

Belin padded irresistibly towards me and stopped beside me with an impish grin, "they said you would bring fish, well…where is it?"

"I…didn't bring any today…wait, did the Queen seriously say that to you?" I raised a scaly brow, but she kept quiet, apparently playing along with this act.

"Looks like we got to look for some then" the Terror smiled before I sighed. REALLY, no other dragon here will do it, I got to do it?

If this keeps up, I'll have a migraine for sure. I have NO intention of being this dragon's BABYSITTER…heh…now I know how Toothless feels sometimes…

And so…I'm forced to help this hatchling catch fish along the shore.

I should explain: Terrors often lived in packs and to see one by itself would mean that Belin is almost completely helpless…it made sense why I brought him here. Even if I took him to Hiccup and Toothless, I doubt Belin would have fit in very well…I mean…If there's anything Torch has taught us is not to have a small mischievous dragon next to Toothless at any time. Don't get me started with how Terrors sing in the dead of night from time to time either, much to the annoyance of everyone on Berk. So, yea…he's DEFINITELY staying here!

Anyway, I helped him find fish, but of course he rather I catch it for HIM rather than him actually learn to do it himself…I'm pretty sure these little guys are scavengers anyway…oh well…there he is, gobbling up the two or three fish I helped catch, which took a while to get.

"Thanks, Flint" he mewled. I couldn't help but feel warm by his thankful smile and I consequently smiled back as a result. I'm not sure why…honestly all this dragon did today was annoy me, but maybe…it's my dragon side? Maybe it's the fact that this creature was of similar age to my dragon-self? Maybe it's the feeling of being able to associate with somebody in this child body that shares a similar age? After all, the dragons that hatched during Snoggletog are still MUCH younger than us both. I couldn't help but feel like those were valid reasons…I doubt I would have tolerated this Terror if I were still human or older in this form…who knows…maybe I'm just overthinking it. I just realized that I came back to Dragon Island JUST to check up on them…I guess it's an instinct I have…make sure everyone's alright everywhere…Toothless has the same urge.

"Take care of yourself" I said, deciding to leave for the day; however, he stops me, jumping in my way…startling me a bit.

"Aww, can we play a bit first?"

I stopped and thought about it…normally I would say no…but I kind of wanted to play with Toothless earlier but he's been busy with Stoick and other important stuff. Meh, sure…why not?

And so, I play fought with Belin for a few minutes until he became exhausted, "h-how are you still standing…"

I chuckled, giving a confident smirk that rivals Toothless, "Night Furies are something else."

Belin snorted dismissively in response, "Pfft…If I were your size, I would have probably beat you."

"Maybe, work on your stamina" I winked, "listen, I ought to head back" I said, taking a step back to prepare to launch into the sky.

"Okay…" he grumbled in disappointment.

"I'll be back, I promise…Queen…help me out here?"

She only laughed in response before I scoffed back, "whatever, I'll see you all later. Make sure you get some rest Belin" I suggested before unfurling my black, bat-like, wings.

He nodded before flying up to perch on 'Galadriel.'

I finally leave to rejoin the others on Berk once again. Belin watched me exit, wondering just how long it would be until he would see his new friend, that would be me if it's not obvious, again.

Don't worry, Hatchling, he will return.

The Terrible Terror heard in his mind before deciding to curl up and rest, "he seems like he does a lot of work…"

He's more responsible than you think, hatchling.

"That's the crazy part…he's just a kid! He's pretty mature for his age…" Belin considered, and the much larger reptile smiled inwardly at this.

He is…

I make it back to Berk by night. By this point in time…a lot had happened on the island while I was gone…most notably: Stoick the Vast had bonded with the Thunderdrum and both fought off against a horde of angry pigs. That means that the traditionalist Chief of Berk now followed the ways of a dragon rider, having his own dragon and similarly caring for his people as Hiccup does in the sky.

Apparently, I was told all this by none other than Toothless, who felt very curious around me once I had returned to the Haddock residence overnight.

He approached me, sniffing me all over as his eyes turned slightly oval momentarily, "Looks like you've been hanging around Terrible Terrors all day."

"Yea?" I raised an eyebrow in return, "one happened to harass the twins. They're not from here and they were looking for their parents. I took them to Dragon Island to rest."

"I see" he sat on his hind legs and scratched his ear like a cat, "reminds me of you."

"Oh really?"

"Yes," he prodded closer towards me, "like when you told me how you lost your parents but actually didn't" he carefully said as not to offend me.

"I'm not lying this time" I deadpanned. He couldn't help but laugh back to distill any tense air in the room, "I know."

Silence prevailed until I decided to be smug, "well then, Greenie, I suppose we should head to bed, and maybe tomorrow you can meet the Terrible Terror, personally."

"You didn't just call me that again…did you" he suddenly had an annoyed look running down his face, eye squinting back at me as he gave me a weak glare in return. I grinned, "I still think Greenie would have been your name had Hiccup not called you Toothless, Toothless" I smirked.

"You're lucky you're cute, Flint" he lowered his head toward me, giving a playful growl and toothy smirk back.

I slapped his cheek lightly with a paw as he kept his expression unchanged, like a feline that is ready to attack someone for annoying them too much, "I always thought YOU were the cute one!"

Then, he removed his teeth and tried giving me a HUGE wet lick across the face, but I was TOO fast for him this time! I sidestepped as he looked surprised at the moment, "missed me!" I smiled cockily.

He brought back his teeth and laughed in retaliation, "you're learning, great…looks like my lessons are paying off."

"Looks like they are, Night Fury."

The next day I sat on a cliff overlooking Berk where I saw Stoick the Vast, on his dragon, and Hiccup, on Toothless, flying by…making laps around the village for the first time together. I couldn't help but appreciate just how much had changed ever since Toothless and I ended up here. So much is different now…even Stoick. It's like I'm not the only one that had CHANGED, but everyone around me too. I'm not entirely sure where this is all going to end up…where we're headed…if we're really headed toward some…Utopia. The longer I stay here in this world…the harder it is for me to say goodbye if I eventually find my way home.

There's so much uncertainty on my part. My knowledge of Norse is steadily improving, so what then once I'm able to show my writing ability to the others…what then? If I somehow teach the other dragons this miraculous ability to communicate, wouldn't that DRASTICALLY alter the course of human history? These reptiles wouldn't be seen are mere animals anymore…they would be seen more as sapient beings, even if they were to be discriminated against as some people in my time…they would still be seen as something more than mindless beasts. I doubt something REVOLUTIONARY such as that would go unnoticed. How could the future, MY PRESENT, stay the same if I changed the very fabric of thinking everywhere with my ability to write? Maybe dragons wouldn't go away…maybe Berk would become some crazy futuristic Utopian society like Atlantis in ancient times…who knows?

A sudden fear entered my mind at that very moment…what if EVERYTHING about the future, again…my present, changed as SOON as I had met Toothless in that cove? What if it leads to some unforeseen outcome a thousand years from now? What if leads to my human self or someone I know never existing or the very nature of human life changing so much that it's unrecognizable? What if my actions here result in…Sophia vanishing?

No…I can't think negatively like that…some things may change…maybe a lot, but even if what I'm doing here IS changing the future I still exist and I still KNOW Sophia. That hasn't changed. Everything I know about my present is still the same…my memory hasn't changed one bit…nothing feels off…again…what if this is an alternate world?

All this "time travel" stuff is REALLY hurting my head.

I yawned and stretched, deciding to head back into the house to rest. That night I would have a dream…a dream that I've been having ever since I landed in the World of Dragons: the same dream where I play for her…Sophia…the last time we were together…

The last time I saw her…

Phew! Alrighty, that's the end of this long chapter, I hope you all enjoyed it!

So, I've decided to make things interesting with this story, some of you may not like it but I hope you're open to exploring the idea with me.

Truth be told, I am a HUGE fan of Alternate History… my two favorites AH writers are S.M. Stirling and Harry Turtledove.

I don't want to rinse and repeat the same old story told in the movies as if nothing's changed. As some had stated in past reviews, Flint's addition to the HTTYD world would have drastic consequences in the timeline the farther it goes, and it would make sense. The first movie would be the most similar to the original plot and already we've seen how different some parts were compared to the original timeline (if you read Chapters 6-8 which I hope you all did…if not, what are you doing lol). I do think that how HTTYD2 and HTTYD3 will be presented in this story will be vastly different (yet somehow similar) from the originals. Even so, it'll take some time to figure these things out and I may need some help in the future with fabricating this alternate plot. The worst thing I want to do is change things SO MUCH that I end up in a hole and with writer's block, that's never good. The last writer's block I had lasted for YEARS.

Moving on: I also decided to glance upon Season 2 of Riders of Berk and focus on Defenders of Berk (some things) and Race to the Edge (though most episodes of that series will also be hastily glanced upon).

Before I end the day with my usual goodbyes, I would like you all to check out some artwork I had commissioned for the story by Hiccfree on Instagram. You can check it out on my Deviant Art page.

Since links and the FANFIC website don't mix, I'll provide my Account name and the name of the artwork for you to search up and find. I recommend searching for my username FIRST as it will be the first thing that pops up on the search engine.

Deviant Art acc: fefe46

Artwork name: How to Train your Dragon: Brothers (Fanfic)

That ought to be it for today. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week, take care and see ya later!
